A white and brown dog with long hair.

We had the best experience at Glamour Paws! Our dog's hair grows really long, but we like to cut it all off at the beginning of Spring. It so hard with her white hair to cut it without lines, and Glamour Paws did just that! She looked smooth all over, and you couldn't see where they'd cut her hair at. They also called me before they started cutting her hair to double check how I wanted it. Very fair pricing for a really great outcome! We'll be going back.

They did such an awesome job! Everyone on the staff was very friendly, they managed to squeeze me in last minute and were very accommodating with my work schedule. Not to mention they did a great job on my dog as well, who i am sure was difficult to work with being she is a puppy but i can tell they really took their time with her!

This place is stinking AMAZING!! I took my little poodle here after I adopted him from someone and he was looking pretty rough. The staff was WONDERFUL and WELCOMING and did not judge my puppy for his bad 'do one bit! My dog looked SUPER FLY when we left and he was so happy. I felt good leaving my doggy at a place that was so warm and welcoming. A+!!!

Spa Day at Glamour Paws was a success!

My only concern is that we didn't have to show proof of vaccinations - while the dogs don't necessarily interact, there are communal spaces and we have a pup at home who is a little more vulnerable. Something to keep in mind during doggie flu season.

I brought my dog in for grooming around noon on Sunday, May 9th, 2021 for the first time to this facility on South Peoria. The shift manager, Michelle, sold me on the deshedding package to assist my dog in transitioning with the spring season. When I picked up my dog later that afternoon, she wasn't acting normal and unfortunately the damage was not immediate evident through her thick fur. When we returned home, she spent the rest of the day mostly hiding under my bed. The next day she also spent hiding and did not want to eat her food. This behavior continued through Tuesday night when I tried to pet her along her back and she yelped really loud as if in serious pain. I took her to our regular vet, and they confirmed the touch sensitivity, when she tried to touch my dog along her back, she yelped very loudly again in serious pain. My vet prescribed a pain medication and anti-inflammatory to treat the sensitive area. Two days later, after she had time to heal and allowed me to pet her again, upon closer inspection I could really see the dried blood and scabbing from the cuts she received by the groomer using a furminator brush on my dog. I immediately set another appointment with my vet to inspect the wounds. Our vet prescribed additional medication, an antibiotic, to help the wounds heal and prevent infection. I left the veterinary office and went straight to this facility on South Peoria to show them what had been done to my dog and ensure this did not happen again. When I arrived and asked to speak to a manager, Michelle, who said she was the shift manager, asked what happened and when I explained the situation, she confirmed it must have been Elizabeth who groomed my dog on Sunday. During our conversation, Michelle said 'yeah I can see the scabs and it looks like dried blood' and that the trauma may have occurred due to the 'sharp teeth on the furminator brush'. Another young male groomer who had been listening to the conversation agreed and said, 'yeah you have to be really careful with the furminator, I cut myself on it all the time'. Michelle offered to call her manager, Cheryl and disappeared into the backroom to take the call. I asked for a direct phone number or email to the facility manager but Michelle refused and said she could only take my information but was not sure when Cheryl would be able to call me. When I pressed again for direct contact information, she said she could only offer this general email 'contact@sloppydogwash.com' but that Cheryl would receive that email directly. Not only did I pay $78, including tip for the service, but I have also now paid $220.18 to the vet for examination and medications. The manager and owners have yet to respond to my email regarding the trauma my dog has endured. I emailed again several days later including additional photos of the healing including additional hair loss down to her skin. Their lack of response indicates to me that they have little interest or concern in the welfare of their customer's pets and it's no wonder your employees lack the proper training to conduct the services they offer without causing harm. I have reported this incident to the Better Business Bureau in hopes my complaint will be taken seriously and no one else's pet will be harmed. If a resolution is not able to be made with them I will be taking this issue to small claims court.

Fantastic staff! I had an appointment to drop my two pugs off at another grooming place in town…read morethat I had never been to either, but I wasn't paying attention and accidentally dropped them off at Paws of Fun Grooming (hey, it was cold, dark, rainy, and I was working remotely via iPhone on client escalations!). When I got home, I realized my mistake and became sick to my stomach not knowing what kind of place I took my babies to, but it worked out SO well! I dropped off the pugs around 8am, and they were ready by noon (as a walk-in obviously). The pugs looked so cute! As part of the grooming process, they cleaned the pugs' ears VERY well. One of the pugs had very dirty ears, so they gave me a Ziploc bag of dirty q-tips used to take to the vet if I wanted testing done (they said people like to do that as a precaution, like for ear-mites). That was nice of them to consider the pugs' health! One of my pugs is blind, and they handled him well. He wasn't traumatized or anything upon pickup (not anymore than the vet, that is). :) They also called me afterward to tell me about a couple of high spots the pugs had on them to watch for in case they started itching so that I could apply cortisone as needed. Again, another nice health recommendation that they didn't have to do! One of my favorite things about this place is that they used a good nail file, NOT clippers, to shave down the pugs' nails. This is important to me because one of the pugs has long quicks and always bleeds with clippers. Lastly, their prices are very good. Two dogs for grooming was $70 (plus tip). This was definitely a great mistake, and I will go back! :) They said they've been in business since 2009 and took over the old pet store that went out of business awhile back. It's great space!
