After my groomer of more than a year quit last minute, I needed to find somewhere who could take my standard poodle fairly soon. Laralea's was able to get us in in just a week! I'm extremely picky about my standard poodle's groomer because we've unfortunately experienced some horrible grooms in the Tulsa area and my boy is a gentle, sensitive soul. I was pleasantly surprised with the service we got! Upon arrival, the groomer (forgot to get her name) was very patient listening to me explain my dog's needs and my grooming preferences. She did a great job with the whole groom and did everything exactly how I requested, despite it being an odd request. She even did a fancy banding for the topknot. She was really sweet! The shop environment was overall peaceful and did not seem rushed, which I appreciate. It's a pretty far drive for me but for a good groom it's worth it. read more

Read the reviews! Terrible experience. 2yr goldendoodle had no issues prior. 2nd visit, I dropped him off at 7:30 AM. By noon, I hadn't received any updates, so concerned I called at 3 PM. They hadn't started his haircut because another dog sadly had a seizure. Why was I not informed?! My dog hadn't eaten, and they rushed his haircut after starting at 4:30 PM, finishing after 5:30 PM. I regret leaving my dog there for 9hrs. Groomers should keep all dogs safe and inform owners in emergencies. After 9 hours, my dog was stressed and biting; I would be too! I'll never recommend this place! The owner excused the situation by saying she was out of town due to a family emergency and that they had been short-staffed for a while. Overbooking and overwhelming staff is not my problem. I wasn't given an apology, and a free haircut offer to return doesn't make up for the trauma. I will never return. read more

Unfortunately not a good experience for my two boys I dropped them off early and asked if I could pick them up later in the day trusting my boys would be cared for When I picked them up they were both very stressed and extremely thirsty as if they had not been given water all day or had gone out to potty Both of them are registered therapy dogs and are older The actual grooming was fair at best Needless to we will not be returning This place is not for us but maybe it will be a different experience for you read more

I can only put a 1 Star on ere. My dog was 3 rd in line for a haircut and grooming on Saturday at our 8:00 am appointment. He is a Yorkie about 13 years old. I called them at 1:30 pm and they were not done with him. I'm not even sure they had started with him. They told sick and elderly were done first! Oh my goodness! I was not happy and was very loud with them! So I couldn't do much but wait. So at 3:30 I told my husband let's go get our dog, even if they haven't started him we will just leave with him! We got there and they were working on him and said 30 more minutes. Fine , if he's almost done we'll come back. So we came back and still had to wait almost 20 more minutes for them to finish! So poor dog had to be there from 8:00 am till 4:30 pm! No pee brakes food or treats ...water? don't even know! They did do a great job on the hair cut but I will never go back there!! read more

Scheduled a week in advance, dropped our standard poodle off at 8:20am Called around noon and they said he would be a few more hours. Called at 2:00, they said the same thing. Called again at 4:30, and they told us he would be finished at 6:00! I arrived there at 6:00 and still had to wait another 30 minutes. 10+ hours! Absolutely ridiculous. What's the point of a appointment whenever they kept my dog in a kennel all day until the last minute? I've heard their excuses, I do not recommend this place. Don't accept so many dogs in a day if your establishment can't handle it. read more

We have used Laralea's since they opened, but Never again. We always take our Shih Tzu as early as they open do just maybe he will be done early and not have to be caged all day. Today dopes our dog off at 8:01 AM, at their closing time, 5:30 PM we walk in and they are just getting started! The employees just said it was a "crazy day", asked where Laralea was and they said she left in the afternoon! Should be running your dam business! They are so dysfunctional, we are Done! I have tipped more that anyone, bragged to there face just to make sure they treated our dog well then every time there is some kind of Drama. They will be out of business soon. I will be calling a mobile service from now on, then our dog won't be caged 9 hours with nothing being done. read more

Both of my dogs barely got a groom. One is very nervous when getting groomed and they didn't know how she did when I asked. I'm pretty sure I paid $100 for them both to be bathed. Beautiful work and friendly people, and they are good about getting you in quickly. I greatly appreciate the groomer who worked on my girl pointing out her itchy ears so I can tell the vet! But to piggyback on the other review - be prepared to wait. Of course busy seasons occur but being second in the door at 8 am and second to last out at 7:25 pm is excessive. This is just our second visit and the first one she sat for 3 hours after finishing, and when I called to check after around 7 hours they told me she has "been ready!" The shop initiates no communication regarding pick up times (text messages are promised) which is especially hard on a workday. The details if anyone cares: (I'm long winded, be warned) At drop off, I asked for a rough estimate on pick-up and it was "sometime this afternoon." No problem there. I called at 2:30 pm so that I could plan a lunch break accordingly. I rearranged my work scheduled to pick up at the second time provided: 4pm - was told they would text when she was done. I'm sure it was just the stress of the day and not the regular attitude of the staff who was clearly annoyed that I called back again at 4:40 to check on her. They said she was being worked on at that moment. I pointed out she had been there since 8 and asked if everything was ok. That got me transferred to the owner who was kind and apologetic and answered my concern about it being a long day in the crate for my girl. I pointed out to the owner too that we were in the door at 8, but maybe I misunderstood the drop off process. Both told me they were just busy today. Showed up at the second time she gave me (6:30 pm) and waited in my car for an hour while they finished up my doodle. Finally got the text at 7:22! I was pretty disappointed that no one acknowledged the long wait or cared to better explain drop off or maybe my dog had an issue that caused it to take so long. Just my total and a thank you. I admittedly am not a grooming expert but I can't understand an 11 hour day and it was clear to me that all but one appointment came and gone in the time it took them to get to my dog. If they are open to suggestions: staggered drop off times, open communication about pick-up time changes and/or scheduled appointments would be super helpful for working dog-parents. Great first time grooming. My senior dog had special needs & they treated him w care & respect. They groomed him in an hour. I was concerned about him standing for hours to be dried & cut. They assured me they would do everything to make him comfortable . When he was done, he came out smiling & happy & so clean & handsome. Thank you. I just picked up my dog from Laralea's Dog Spa. Her groomer was Vickie. My dog looked good, however, when I got there, she was on the table and the groomer was saying "no, no!" And "you're never going to get off this table if you don't stop!" Maggie was not doing anything but wagging her tail (because she saw me walk in). Vickie was combing out her beard very roughly. Maggie is a very gentle and somewhat timid dog and has only received good reports from other groomers about how sweet she is. When the groomer saw me, she was suddenly all smiles and said she was just finishing up. Needless to say, I won't be returning to this groomer. read more

My dog came out looking great, and I really don't think it was intentional, but my 4 month old dog got dropped off at 7:55am and wasn't serviced until 4:45pm when they closed at 5pm. I understand being busy and having many other dogs to care for, but I just didn't appreciate such a long time in the crate and being the last one serviced at closing time. I don't understand the process and I'm not trying to make judgments, but man, it was frustrating. read more

My puppy and I and a terrible experience at Laralea's Dog Spa. I spoke directly to the Owner, Laralea, the entire time. None of the other staff appeared to talk at all. I dropped my Shihpoo puppy off at the requested time of 8am to 9am when everyone else drops their dog off for the day. It was a cluster with 3 dog owners in the small waiting area with their dogs at the same time. We all had to fill out and sign paperwork. No one, not even the staff, was wearing a mask besides myself, even though it is now a city mandate. Upon leaving another dog owner was entering the area. We had to side step each other to allow room for the exit/entry. The staff was hurried and appeared to be working in a chaotic situation. I was told it was going to be a longer wait time than normal before I could pick up my puppy. I was told it may be early afternoon, because there were other dogs that took priority over mine. I asked if I could drop my puppy off later because she is not use to a cage and is afraid of other dogs. I was told "No, this is the way we do it here. She will be fine. We will call you if there are any issues." I never received a call until nearly 2pm when it was time to pick her up. I also forgot my puppy's vaccine paperwork. I was told "Don't worry about it. I know him." I said "The Vet is a She". I was then told, "I've worked in vet offices for years, I know them all. I know her and her husband." Please note, my Vet was never called for the vaccine paperwork. I requested a mild 1/2 trim on my puppy's hair and a nail trim. When I picked my puppy up, the hair had been cut close to the puppy's back. At least 4 inches had been removed. When I expressed my dislike and concern over the cut, I was told in a condescending manner "You will get used to it. It's better for the dog this way." This statement was told to me at least 5 times. When I finally became frustrated over the condescending and uncaring statements and manner of the Owner, I stated "We purchased the dog for her longer hair and the way she looked. I understand the way you cut her hair is what you think is best for you; however, it is not what I requested or what my family wanted." I was then told, "She was matted, you are lucky I am patient, most groomers would have shaved her completed." I was deeply concerned about the lack of compassion from the Owner at this time. I calmly stated "I know of one small mat that came up yesterday. Can you tell me of others." The Owner, very condescending again stated "There were other mats." The Owner then began to swing a comb/brush in the air and loudly demand I purchase one of those brushes and use it every day on my puppy. She would never state where the other mats were located. I truly don't believe there were others. I have a fluffy white Shihpoo puppy. Because of her white hair, I have to bath and groom and her at least once a week and brush and comb her several times a week. My puppy was overly joyed to see me upon arrival. She was so excited she kept jumping at the front door trying to get out of the facility. I had to sit in the area to calm her before I could pay and leave. When I stated calmly to the puppy "It's ok, I know it was traumatic. It's over now." The Owner snipped "It wasn't traumatic. She is just over reacting. She is fine." I had no response for those uncaring and caulis words that rudely interrupted my attempt to calm my puppy. Lastly, there appears to be no nail trim. Although one of her nails seems brownish as if there was blood drawn while attempting a nail trim. I have an appointment scheduled with my vet this afternoon to take a peek at the nail to ensure it is ok. read more
