This place is easily the biggest bang for your buck. I would sell all of my 13 children for one bowl of those glorious soft noodles and luxurious tender meat. The service is always insane, those cooks can make any substance a 5 star meal. We went here because my wife was craving this food. This place is all you can eat. I only got 2 plates of food because I learned not to stuff myself too much as we had to drive to our next destination which was in Kansas City. Prices were not too bad as it was $16.99, but soft drinks are not included and you have to pay extra. They have a good assortment of food and they tell you the recipe to make some of the sauces. I ended up having a bowl full of vegetables and meat the first shot. Then, I ended up getting some noodles and making my own version of a supreme pizza which did not taste bad at all. If it does get busy, beware that it does take some time to cook the meal. If you give the cooks a tip, they do a song of some sort like at Cold Stone. Service was good and our server was friendly as they cleared out the tables fast. HuHot in Joplin May 11th, 2024 I wish we had a HuHot closer to Rogers, but we made a specific trip to Joplin to try out this location, and it was worth it! The location was clean, decently busy for a Saturday lunch hour, and they had the full compliment of choices available for noodles, meats, vegetables, and sauces. The cooks were very good, even throwing in some flourishes as the meals were ready to be served. It was delicious! I felt bad that one lady was berating them for taking so long to prepare her son's meal because of a food allergy. Lady, if someone is making special precautions to cook your adult child a meal with particular needs, you should apologize for the inconvenience and be grateful, not tell them to go faster next time! I and my husband have been regulars here for a long time. Recent change in management absolutely tanked this place, however. We don't get offered any of the options anymore of appetizers, salads or soup or rice. We have to chase down our servers for any of the above, for our check, for our loyalty code, drink refills, etc. When we came to eat yesterday, I had never been so disappointed. The line was a mess. Most of the meats were completely empty. The new manager was gossiping with the grill man which was awkward for everyone. Food was severely overcooked. The man standing in line when we walked in was still in line waiting for his food after we were seated and went through and made our bowls. I've never been this frustrated eating here. Came in from Bentonville for dinner before going to a concert at the casino in Miami. We did one bowl at a time so our food stayed HOT. You make your selection of protein and veggies and of course sauces. It all you can eat , two trips was plenty and filling and HOT! They have nice recommendations recipes listed . Haven't been here since pre pandemic, and grill items have been reduced a lot in recent years. Here for dinner and there were no shrimp, or eggs which even at lunch had been available before. That was a letdown for a non meat eater. The raw food bar was very messy, yeah people make a mess with the tiny bowls they give you, but it was obvious no one had picked up food off the bar, or the floor for hours. I had some mussels and some weren't cooked because they were cold when I tried to eat them. We asked for wasabi, just me and my child and we got the huge amount in the pic. The seats and carpet and even walls are in need of some repairs Or even a complete remodel. We had to wait a few minutes to get forks, which are usually on the end of the grill area where you get your food, but they were out (the restaurant was practically empty) so not sure why we had to wait for those. HuHot is simply fun to us. Its fun to pick your ingredients, decide on your own formulas of sauces and then watch the cooks grill on the giant drum style grill that is based on the idea that Mongol warriors would cook on thier shields in a similar fashion. They have sides but we most often get brown rice and soup. My wife likes the Asian salad while I tend to order the Hot and Sour soup. Also they have the Coke machines with lots of flavor options, I wish they'd put it out front as I hate asking my waitress for my drink and they seem a little testy if you want to make a strange combination. Last time we were there we had to ask for refills but most of the time they ask us. Once you've been sat down you can go to the grill as many times as you like. Thats part of the fun too, everyone seems to have their own theories about how to make there own bowls up. That can be fun to watch. No matter what you like or if you have specific diet choices you can find something to mix up that you'll love. My only suggestion is that they suggest too little flavorings for my or my wife's tastes. They often tell new customers to try 3-4 ladles of sauce and we think its more like 8-10. Can't base this review on the food because we didn't get to try it. The sign on the front door stating that th "men's" restroom wasn't working was an early red flag. Huhot, like any other franchised restaurant, is hit or miss. This one is a hit! Food was fresh and the buffet was always replenished. Very clean. The five star can be attributed to the main man cooking... he made sure my egg was over medium every time. Only had to ask him once and with every return through the line, he remembered. I was skeptical about trying HuHot, I am a pretty picky eater when it comes to this type of food. I was very surprised with the selection! We were promptly greeted and seated and our waitress was great. She explained where to go and what to do which is awesome for people with anxiety lol. The first bar included a few different choices of noodles, white rice and multiple meat options. The second bar had tons of veggie options along with potatoes and raw eggs. Then the last bar was nothing but sauces from mild to hottest. They also have recipe cards on the table to help you prepare certain meals. They charge up front at the Oshkosh location and so we paid and went to pick the ingredients. After I had mine and was ready for it to be grilled up, I was approached and told my card was declined. Didn't sound right, but went up and paid successfully. Thing is...they tried to charge it 3 times. The first went through, the second declined as fraudulent, and the third attempt worked because it was 5 or 10 minutes after the first. This is all fine but when I called them to ask how to handle it, they said someone would get back to me in two days and if not, I should call again. That's realllllllly poor customer service. I was staying at a local Hilton Hotel. I ordered a $50 meal and we waited and waited. We were never contacted except to say that our order was running late. After about 90 minutes I saw the delivery arrive on the app and just as quickly disappear. I called and they blamed me for not giving a suite number yet they had contacted me to tell me it was late. They also had my phone number. Oh....so angry I have no idea what you mean by which delivery service did I use. I called your business, made my order, and you sent it out for delivery. You even sent me a message that said that our food was running late. I was not inclined to reorder after the 90 minute wait time, as you suggested. I've had Mongolian Grill before and I would vote this on par with other ones I've been to. But to be out of state and finding this quality of food, I was impressed. This place is clean and food looks fresh. The grill master was very friendly and had a smile on. I love that I can make my own dish and every dish be different. I had the khan house special sauce which was really good. If you've never had Mongolian Grill before, here's how it works. You get a bowl and put all your raw ingredients that are laid out like a buffet style. Add what kind of sauce you'd like. They recommend 5-6 ladles of sauce so you can actually taste it. Lots of food to choose from which is why I gave it 3 stars. However all the food tastes the same on the grill. It's hard to know how much sauce to add and which sauces to add. They do offer cards to help navigate the sauces but I haven't found them to be very helpful/true to taste. Also there is a TON of salt in the sauces. Whoever writes a bad review for this place is terrible at combining ingredients and sauces. My family and I drive over an hour to eat here that's how much we love it. If you want a good recipe just combine teriyaki, 5 ladles of burn your village bbq, and lemon juice. It's one of my favorite meals. The staff is great and the campfire smores for dessert are awesome! A campfire right at your table! Also, it's better to add more ladles of sauce than to undersauce it. Trust me. Sometimes when I take my first bite of food I just close my eyes and soak in the flavor because it is so so so good. The first time I ate here I ate it four days in a row. Kind of a mixed bag here. It was ok but I could only consider it so by tamping down my gut reaction of being a bit skeeved out. It could have been 5-star great with a little work. One of my wife's dishes had raw chicken in it. I have no idea how you cook 1/16" thick chicken on a giant slab of hot metal and manage to under cook it. The other issue is cleanliness. One [relatively] older dude on the grill was diligent about cleaning it thoroughly when he wasn't cooking, but everything around him needed the same attention, as did the food bars. It's not that there was something you could point to and say, "Look at that mess!" It was the fact that every surface seemed to have a film of something on it, as if someone had taken a rag to it but the rag was already filthy and all they did was smear the mess evenly across the surface instead of cleaning it up. The handles on all the food utensils - especially the sauces - had a tackiness to them. Every surface that reflected any light clearly had either the trail of a rag on the surface or smears of hand/finger prints. I told myself it was just food juice and not a bacteria film or bodily fluids. If that's what is going on in the customer's view I hate to think what's going on in that kitchen and walk-in. The bars had a good selection of quality ingredients and the restaurant had a good concept and decent execution with a few outstanding employees (and a couple slackers). If it had been kept clean in there I would have left totally happy and eager for my next visit. read more

One of the worst-tasting meals I've had in America. The restaurant was clean and spacious. The staff were all friendly and attentive, even with my baby crying to be nursed as they sat us and took our drink orders. Unfortunately the food was terrible. We had the buffet and followed the card's recipe for our first go-round. It was not good. The ingredients (noodles, rice, meat) seemed cheap. It might as well have been a TV dinner. Maybe the oils/sauces used are not good quality. I'm not sure. I was unable to finish either of my plates and had to settle for eating whatever I could scrounge up at a gas station on our way out of town. How could anyone give this place less then five stars? There is every ingredient you can imagine. If you don't mix the sauces correct you will come out with something bad. Ask if you need help for sure this is the best Mongolian food since I lived in California. You can go from extra healthy to crazy when making your plate.
