I was just visiting from Florida and wanted to have lunch somewhere that wasn't fast food. I found Oseyo by Googling nearby restaurants and saw that it had good Google reviews (better than the ones on Yelp). My sister and I both with the Dinner Box. I felt like it was a decent price for the amount of food- $16 and it came with a soup, dumpling, main dish, fried rice, salad and small roll. We both enjoyed our soup. I don't usually like Miso, but this was nice and not too salty. And my sister said the hot and sour soup was great. I got the cashew chicken and it was good. Not great, but good. My sister had the General's Chicken and she said it was very good and very spicy. The roll was OK, but I wasn't expecting to be wowed. I did not try any of the other sushi. I read other reviews that mentioned it was an old Pizza Hut, and it still looks like one. So you aren't going here for the ambiance. My sister said she went there often when it was a Pizza Hut and they still had the same tile and lights. The service was nice, polite and attentive. On the road for wrestling, again, Asian Food is a favorite after a wrestling meet. Well, it was ok. I had Kung Pao Chicken, that was ok. My son order beef bulgogi and he said like my dish, it was not Spicey at all. My Kung Pao didn't have any peanuts or spice. It was good, but not what I was hoping for. The serving size was amole. The fried rice pretty tasty and on par with most fried rice. Our server was very nice and worked very hard to take care of us. She didn't order our sushi roll, but did so quickly once we reminded her. My son said the spicey salmon roll was tasty, but the texture of the fish was weird. This was a hard no for me. Staff was nice but the sushi just didn't right with me. The rainbow roll, didn't seem like a rainbow roll. There was what looked like cooked fish underneath the salmon. Some of the salmon were grey in color, so I just couldn't bear the thought to eat it. Honestly forgot what the other roll was. Rice was almost like mush. The roll just didn't go well / taste right. This is the location that used to be a pizza hut, I tried a variety of the items and these are my opinions. the egg drop soup was good tasting, although they didn't use the method of dropping their eggs to make long stringy almost noodle like bits. The bulgogi was tough and very bland, not at all appetizing. The other foods were fairly normal with nothing notable positive or negative. The cashew chicken was on the bland side, but the chicken had a fair crunch to it. Overall an enjoyable experience in an area that doesn't have much variety, good place to stop in. read more

I recently started working a few minutes away, so I decided to give Oseyo another try. The fussy thing I noticed was the woefully small lunch menu. I had to order a dinner entree. I ordered the general chicken, which comes with fried rice and a soup. I chose the egg drop. The soup came out quickly, which is to be expected, as it was the smallest portion I have ever seen. I couldn't get the server's attention to request fried noodles or scallions, so I ate it as-is. They apparently make theirs with carrots, which I have never seen before. The only way I can describe the soup's flavor is to liken it to the little red cans of condensed chicken noodle soup sans the noodles. I tried to get that image out of my mind. I really did, but when I closed my eyes, I was six again eating chicken and stars. Not at all what I'd expect at a respectable restaurant. Next came the entree, which I was surprised to see came with one potsticker, which was not in the menu description. It was neither good not bad. The general chicken was spicy as requested, but only due to about a tablespoon of crushed red pepper flakes. The heat overrode the flavor, which made the dish utterly unenjoyable. The fried rice was typical of the area: rice with frozen peas and carrots stirred in with just a touch of egg and soy sauce. Bland and unmemorable. I suggest they expand their lunch menu, make their dishes more authentically, and stop pre-making everything. I have had far better food at a far better price. The food was not hot and literally tasted like dirty dish water. I took two bits and I couldn't eat anymore. Keep in mind I can usually eat anything. This was so bad it almost made me gag. Without a doubt my favorite location in Bolivar. You can't beat the prices! The Crispy Chicken, Vegas Roll, and Bolivar Roll are my go-tos. Every meal makes for great leftovers as well.
