Crab Tuna Roll, Spicy Snow Crab Roll, Spicy Tuna Roll

The serve yourself soup bar was a 10/10 delight! Had some had rolls and a specialty roll, all were great - just wish they were a little more spicy but we are wild Super friendly service, definitely coming back to test out the poke!

I ordered something off the menu that was called "Dry chicken" from the stir fry section. It was…read morenot literally dry, as it came soaked in a very flavorful sauce or gravy. There were large broccoli florets, onions, peppers, etc. It felt very authentic, with uncommon spices including what looked like star anise, thick-sliced ginger root, possibly a bay leaf, and something else I couldn't name, so you do have to be mindful about what you're eating. But I feel that added to the experience. I couldn't name the cut of chicken, but it was bone-in (unrecognizable of which bone) but it was very flavorful. My meal also came with a large bowl of steamed rice, which I poured the excess sauce into after i finished the rest. I had some of their pork and celery dumplings as well, dipped in something like soy sauce, and some chili crisp. I've ordered a few times, and they always serve generous portions, meaning I usually get two or more meals out of one order. That alone does a lot to lower the perceived cost of the meal. It's also a great location, near local hang outs like 5C games and 1985 Arcade.

Incredible food! It's a shame it wasn't busy when we went Friday at 7:30, but this is incredible…read more The only dumplings (I'm aware of) you can get in Springfield, and they're delicious. The claypot rice is excellent too! I've never had rice so good. I can't wait to go back!

Muni has been in my Yelp collection for well over a year. Maybe two. I don't know why it took me so…read morelong to get here, but I'm certainly glad that I made it. Muni is an Asian fusion restaurant that happens to have an amazing bar, wait staff and management. The menu is super creative and fun and not very big. I love all of those things. We brought our friends here for drinks and dinner after touring J. Rieger. This place is super cool, friendly and warm. I love the interior with bar seats available, high tops, and low tops. We had some lovely taquito egg roll appetizers and all four of our entrées were absolutely outstanding! We ordered churros for dessert to share and they were a big hit also. I really would love to work my way through the entire menu here. Muni is that good. The reviews brought me here in the first place, but the food and amazing staff will keep me coming back.

Our server Jourdan was delightful, she recommended the Chinoquiles which I ended up ordering. OMG delicious, the curry sauce was a unique addition that had me taking bite after bite. The other dishes ordered were: Fried Chicken Biscuit & Thai Gravy with a side of hot sauce and also the Muni Breakfast Burrito which is actually filled with the good stuff. Thai Bloody Mary had the perfect spicy kick, but not too much, and the candied bacon was a nice surprise, only $10! Thank you Muni for a lovely Brunch & wonderful service Jourdan!

Walking in, although this is a casual dining area, they have silverware, dish ware, and linen…read morenapkins. The ambiance gives off an upscale feel. The lacquered soup bowl and spoon are par for the course but the cast iron teapot and teacup give that authentic quality. So the miso soup is not as salty as I am accustomed to, but I believe that is a me thing, not a quality issue. The composition of seaweed and tofu is good. The salad has a ginger dressing which I appreciate, but my daughter didn't. Again, it's a her issue. The salad components were fresh. The sushi flavors were pretty good. So the fish is not as fresh as it would be in a coastal state or on an island. Hey man, this is the midwest! That being said, this is NOT grocery store sushi though, it is much better and much tastier than that. The flavors of the sauces are mild to allow the natural flavors of the ingredients to shine through, something that many places err in. Typical rolls have such overpowering sauces that the actual ingredients are unidentifiable. This place does not make that mistake. The spicy tuna roll is probably the best tasting spicy tuna roll that I have had in a very long time. Most places use sriracha as the main pepper ingredient, despite it not being of Japan origins. This spicy tuna roll has more of a togarashii based pepper base. As a result it has more of an authentic Japanese flavor. Yum! The staff are very nice, greeting you with a smile. They even ask if you would like a plate cleared away before taking the dish away...my husband has had instances where he wasn't quite done and the servers whisked the dish away neglecting to ask. They checked on us frequently as well. I also am pleasantly surprised that their last call for dine in is 15 minutes before they close. My daughter wasn't available to go out for dinner until 8:45 pm. This is 20 minutes away, so it was still open when we arrived and we didn't feel rushed to place our order.

Couldn't wait to order espresso but all coffee service was "broken" Music is ridiculously loud and repetitive. Not a great place based on my first experience
