2011 Buick

UPDATED REVIEW: The service department's tech talent pool and management needs to be addressed. In March 2021, my 10 year old Buick started to experience the problem of battery draining. The many service appointments never resolved the problem. At one point I was advised that the battery drain was from the car radio, which needed to be replaced... this was at a cost of $1000. Problem - unresolved. The car battery was replaced, the starter was replaced, the radio was replaced, the brake assembly was replaced. Problem - unresolved. Additionally, the service department entered the work into the CarFax system incorrectly, thereby adding over 10,100 miles onto my car's mileage. The Mount Kisco GM dealership told me that this CarFax mileage oddity caused my car to have no trade-in value because the car was now 'mileage cannot be determined'. Hudson GM let the mileage problem go unfixed for the many months of service visits. Once the problem was pointed out to me and then to Hudson GM, Hudson GM would not fix the CarFax mileage problem that they caused. At one point in the many service appointments to investigate the battery drainage problem.... I reported that the brakes lights do not extinguish (sometimes) when the foot is removed from the brake pedal. They replaced the brake assembly for over $700, which did not address the reported problem. I had the car towed to Hudson GM because they wanted to investigate it in its 'dead' state. Problem - unresolved. My car was not reliable. The battery draining problem was getting more frequent. I had used all my roadside visits from Onstar. I was forced to start looking for a replacement vehicle. My communications to Hudson GM service manager went unanswered. I found this to be the worst part of the ordeal. If any of us behaved like that in our own work, there would have been 'heck' to pay. Bottomline... In the future, I would not bring anything complicated to Hudson GM for service. ORIGINAL REVIEW: I have purchased 2 used cars from Hudson GM. Each time, the process was good, efficient and solid. My salesmen were young and knew cars. Their 'no pressure' approach was spot on.

2015 Escalade ESV

Best place to buy a car! Mike was exceptional and we love our 2015 Escalade! Don't take the risk of buying anywhere else because you can have peace of mind each car is gone over with a fine tooth comb at Hudson. Our second vehicle purchase here in a year and will recommend to everyone!

2017 GMC TERRAIN

I came here to purchase a new vehicle after the transmission blew and my old vehicle that I had for 11 years I had no plans on purchasing a new vehicle but I decided to come to Hudson GMC to see what they could do for me, I met a wonderful young man named Holmes who was extremely professional with helping me with this new transition I purchased a GMC Terrain which I absolutely love, Holmes was extremely patient and professional and so glad that I did business here. I highly recommend this young man to anyone that comes into GMC to purchase a vehicle. Hudson GMC staff made this transition very smooth for me. When I came to pick up my new vehicle the owner of this business came by to congratulate me. If you're considering purchasing a vehicle stop by Hudson GMC in Poughkeepsie across from the Poughkeepsie galleria mall.

Bear with me- this starts negatively but goes in a positive direction (at least for this Auto Zone…read morelocation!) I called the Wappingers location yesterday (June 23, 2019) at about 11:30 AM to ask if they had a radiator in stock for an 07 Subaru Forester. I was given a few options over the phone by a female employee and eventually was told that they had one in stock, with the turbo option being in another store in Levittown. I was told the price for the one in stock was $135 (approx) while the turbo was $153 (approx). Knowing I did not need the turbo, I headed to the store to purchase the radiator that was in stock When I got there, I spoke to a female employee (I could not tell if it was the same one as on the phone) in a grey Auto Zone shirt (I assume this means she was some kind of manager, which makes this situation even worse) who asked the questions again, and when she pulled up the radiator, said "we don't have it, it's only in Levittown. I can order it and it can be here tomorrow". I explained that I had just spoken on the phone with an associate who had said there were two options, one in Levittown, one in stock. I suggested that she pulled up the wrong radiator on the computer by mistake. (In fact I know she did, because I saw the radiator on the computer, and she had pulled up the turbo, which I had said I didn't need.) Without even looking for the other radiator (on the computer or on the shelves) or even going back to refine the search, the employee says sarcastically "look, I would love to make it appear out of thin air, but I can't!". At that point, I walked out of the store. I found this employee to be rude and lazy. I took a chance and went up the road to this Auto Zone location by the Poughkeepsie Galleria- where I was treated FAR better. Fortunately for me they had the radiator in stock. I purchased the radiator from the Poughkeepsie Auto Zone, and described my experience at the Wappingers Auto Zone to them. While there, I was informed that the rude employee I had dealt with in Wappingers had called (while I was checking out) up to the Poughkeepsie store to warn them that an "angry and aggressive customer looking for a radiator" was coming in. If you were treated the way I was by this employee, you'd be pretty annoyed too. And when I went into the Wappingers store, I was neither angry nor aggressive- I was simply looking for my radiator, and I only became angry after this employee was rude and lazy, as anyone would. I was not angry and aggressive at the Poughkeepsie location and I'm sure the employees there can attest to that. The Poughkeepsie employees apologized and gave me a free bottle of Antifreeze with my new radiator- Wappingers could learn a thing or two about customer service from Poughkeepsie! Will be going to the Poughkeepsie location from now on. STELLAR customer service! Well done Poughkeepsie- you've won this customer over!

In general, they have a large inventory of parts and supplies, and up until today, I've never had a…read moreproblem finding what I was looking for. Unfortunately (for me), they stopped carrying the particular brand of windshield wipers I wanted. I also feel the staff at the sales desk need to walk around the store a little more often asking customers if they need assistance.
