I purchased my grand Cherokee elsewhere. When I lost a key, this dealer was closer to home so I called to get a price and I was quoted a price for the replacement key fob and programming so I had to make an appointment for Service when I arrived, they had the key fob but only part of it. They didn't have the blade which is the replacement key that fits into the key fob and the price was $128 more than what I was quoted. I told them that's not what I was quoted. They were basically like too bad. I told them to deep program the fob and they made me wait. Remember the old bait and switch avoid this dealership at all cost. I should've gotten back to my selling dealer that deal with me straight. read more

I dropped my vehicle off Monday and today Friday it still hasnt even been looked at. Anthony said they were busy all week. I can see a day or 2 too busy to work on the car, but a week is extreme. I tried reaching out to the owner of the dealership and the service manager. No response from either. My only options are to leave the vehicle there and maybe sometime next week they look at it or I pick it up and take it to another mechanic. I purchased this vehicle from this dealership and I had hoped they would treat a returning customer better than this. I talked to a mechanic there and apparently the repair my vehicle needs is not a priority right now and the dealership would make more money with other pricey repairs. That's the real reason for the delay. Never again with these clowns. read more

I've had 2 bad experiences in a row with this service department and would give zero stars if I could. In March 2025, I brought my 2017 Accord in for an inspection. After inspecting the vehicle, the service advisor mentioned that my RH rear caliper needed replacement and recommended both rear pads and rotors. Why they wouldn't recommend replacing both calipers so the rear brake components are all brand new is beyond me. To replace the RH rear caliper, have the LH rear caliper serviced, and replace both rear pads and rotors, they had the audacity to charge almost $1500, at a rate of $209 per hour for labor. Insanity. Ultimately, I brought my vehicle to a reputable mechanic and was able to have my brakes fixed (including replacement of both calipers) at a fraction of what Dutchess Cars was charging. 2 months later in May 2025, I made an appointment to have a replacement key cut and programmed for the same vehicle. When I made the appointment, it was made clear that I purchased an aftermarket key and it was not a Honda OEM part. They waited until the day of the appointment, after I was already at the dealership to tell me "I'm sorry, but we don't have the proper equipment to cut this key since it's laser cut, and I doubt Honda would either." Extremely poor service and support, and extremely overpriced. read more

I had my Sorento repaired by them and they destroyed my car. The car broke down May 2024 and was towed to them. They ended up rebuilding some if the engine, and the car was there for 6 weeks. 2 months go by and the check engine light comes on. I bring it in and was told that my rebuilt engine is burning oil, something it didn't do prior. I was 1000 miles over the low end of a recommended oil change and was told to now come in 2000 miles sooner to offset the oil loss. I picked up the car and didn't make it 10 miles before the light was back on. I had a mechanic friend take a look at it. I was leaking oil and coolant and my high pressure fuel line was no longer bolted down and he questioned Scott, the service manager, as to what a "rebuilt engine" meant to him because there were bolts and parts that looked like they hadn't been touched. Car returned for repair and was told that because I let the oil run low, that the other cams had gone and need to be replaced. I commute 70 miles/day, so at this point I deemed the car unreliable for long distance travel and bought a new car. Over the next 6 months the Sorento only went 2000 miles. I had an appointment at a different dealership for an oil change and to fix a recall that the car never made it to. It broke down the same way it did the past May. It was towed to the other dealership and when they called to update me on it they questioned multiple times as to if another Kia dealership actually worked on it. Appalling was an understatement. I have improper hardware attempting to hold my oil pan together- self tapping screws! The fuel line was never bolted down and I'm leaking oil everywhere. Since Dutchess did the work, it was towed back to them. According to Scott, one of the cams was bad and still covered under warranty, so they fixed it. I asked about the improper hardware, which I gave them a very detailed packet of with pictures from the other dealership - I've attached them to here as proof. He said what they were actually seeing was the bad cam had disintegrated and the broken pieces fell down from the engine and into the oil pan. That's not possible! Especially seeing how they were on the outside of the vehicle, and because that's just not possible, Scott! Scott also said he personally gave the car a good run to make sure things were good. However, I have the before and after mileage documented and when I went to pick the car up, it hadn't even been driven a mile. Since I believe absolutely nothing that comes out of the mouths of anyone in Kia service and I still needed to have the recall done, I asked the other dealership to take a look at the work performed. The car stayed there for a week while it took them 4 tries to seal the oil pan. One of the self tapping screws that Scott claimed didn't exist was actually removed and replaced -with a LICENSE PLATE SCREW! They were also drilled in at an angle, making this repair the last try before the upper oil pan is shot and would need to be replaced at $3000 just in labor. I have tried multiple times to reach out to Dutchess and all I've received is the run around. So here is all my proof of what they did to my car. Purchased a car 2 months ago, Feb 7th. Transferred our plates. Car now sits in our driveway unregistered, with no title and unable to be driven. Went to DMV and the VIN does not come up in their system nor does a title. Car was financed through a local credit union, they're wanting to know where the title is showing their lien....me too!! After further digging and 2 more trips to DMV, we're still at a standstill with absolutely no concern from the dealership.......all they say is "It's DMV's fault, they're back logged." Temporary registration expired 3/21. Found out from the credit union a title was issued and mailed on 3/28, but cannot be the one we're needing as they receive a separate notification from DMV when a title is issued with them as a lien holder. It appears we were sold a car that the dealership did not have the title for and hence should have not "sold" the car. To say this has been, and continues to be an absolute nightmare is an understatement. They received 28k from the credit union, charged me $100 to transfer the plates, and have done nothing to rectify the problem. We're paying the loan and car insurance for a car we're not sure we even own The dealership is shady. RUN, RUN, RUN!!! On a side note, we purchased a new car from Thruway Nissan in Newburgh 2 weeks ago, transferred our plates, everything is perfect and all shows well with DMV!! Can you say felony fraud?!? I needed an oil change recently, I decided to go online and schedule one for the weekend, I work like most monday-friday and its kinda difficult to not having my car. I saw that they were no open appointments for a simple oil change. So, I just woke up early on a Saturday and drove to the service department and see if they could squeeze my car in. The guy was nice and mentioned there were other ahead of me and they will get to once the other were done. I said no problem, I told the guy that I had a Coupon for the oil change and he said no problem and he will take if off my bill. So I left to take care of some business, I want to say maybe 2 hours later, I got a call and they said my car was done. I go to pick up my car and I see that the Bill is closed to $100.00 for a simple oil change, granted synthetic oil. I looked closely and I didn't see the Coupon on it and had to tell the guy again about the coupon. Not a bid deal, I just don't like repeating myself. So, the coupon discount was added and I left, I go to my car and double check to see my oil cap was tight and everything else was good. Everything look ok, I then checked my oil life on my instrument cluster and the service guy or girl never resent the oil life to 100%. So, I did it myself. But still, If I'm paying for something, I would like the job to be totally complete. I don't want to sound petty in anyway. They did a good job, It just would've been nice if every was don't correctly from the coupon and resetting my oil life. read more

The Owner reached out as seen on my post. He was very friendly and cordial. I explained a brief synopsis and encouraged him to see the reviews for the full story. The Owner returned with telling me that Stacy as well as both stores were spoken to about their professionalism and that he agreed it was unacceptable. He went on to explain why his two stores can't compete or sell from the other stores lots, how my statements about finance were incorrect as well explaining to me about the market and ended by asking me what I wanted. At that point, I wanted the discussion to be over. I appreciated the explanation but I would have to assume the owner did not read a single review as if he did - he would understand all the explanations that I was given by him to correct my thinking and help me understand things better are all the things his staff mislead me about. The staff told me they could sell from other lots, the staff told me about negotiating deals, the staff told me about financing incorrectly, so while I was being advised on my incorrect statements - it was really the place to acknowledge that his staff made errors and offer something to me. I also found it amusing that he thought I came to his dealership because of how nicely priced his vehicles were. If he took the time to read my reviews, I went to Dutchess because they had the make and model with the features I wanted that I haven't been able to find locally. Again, nice guy - but I don't see anything coming from this conversation. I would take your business elsewhere. read more

We were what I would consider an easy sell. As senior citizens we have purchase many new cars we knew exactly what we wanted and just had to decide between 2 colors. There would be no financing and our trade in had no liens on it. can't get much easier than that. Throughout the sale and delivery process our salesman, John, was very distracted. George, the warranty finance guy, was much better we breezed through all that paper work and he answered all of our questions. The delivery was a horror show we were left standing on the side walk waiting for our salesman several times, that's unacceptable. We were buying a $50k vehicle. RUN. Go literally anywhere else to buy a car, even if there's a seemingly good deal. Dealing with these people is not worth it. 1. My salesman John knew absolutely nothing about the car and put in little to no effort in answering any questions I had. Then he also had shady sales tactics when negotiating on price (offered to lower monthly payments and extending loan time, hoping I didn't understand how interest works). 2. When I decided to finance through my personal bank instead of through them, the business manager George became hostile and actively unhelpful (they receive a kickback from banks if customers finance through them so they were unhappy with me for not doing so). He hung up on me when I called several times and it took him SIX tries and over 3 days to get me the purchase agreement formatted the way I needed, with a new excuse every time as to why he couldn't do it. This extended my date of pickup by over a week from when I was supposed to. 3. I showed up at my arranged pickup time, and I (and my ride there) waited over an hour before someone was ready to help me do the paperwork and finalize the deal. My salesman John had no idea if the paperwork I had was what I needed and we had to wait for the business manager to come back before proceeding. 4. To top it all off, I had asked my salesman about a deflated tire on the car during the test drive and asked to make sure that was fixed before I picked it up. He assured it would be. 10 minutes into my ride home, the tire pressure light came on and I've now found out the tire has a slow leak and I've had to refill it every 2-3 days. When I called asking if they could fix it, they advised that they have "no record of owing me a tire and it would not be covered under the warranty." So now I have to fix the tire on a car I've had for under 2 weeks. Buying a car should be a fun, exciting experience and this dealership made it an absolute nightmare from beginning to end. Everyone there that I spoke with was either rude, clueless or both. Looking back, I am very unhappy I gave them my business and I would not do so again. read more

I will start off this review with saying that I got an excellent lease deal on a 2020 Dodge Durango. The salesman that I dealt with was great and I have no complaints in that area. He was informative, answered all of my questions and answered all of my questions and concerns through text even after business hours. My issue with this dealership is that I came in with a Chevy that had two months left on a lease. They were fantastic in the sense that they cut me a check for the remaining payments of my lease. That was very helpful. My issue is when telling them what I owed, they failed to mention the disposition fee associated with not getting another Chevy. I am stuck paying an additional $425 to GM financial this month along with my new payment for the dodge. I'm assuming they didn't just take my word for it when I said how much I owed and saw that the fee was there. It's disheartening to know that I owe $900 this month for car payments when I assumed my other lease was paid off, especially during this covid issue when things are tough financially to begin with. Now, my other issue is that dodge also did not explain that they have the same contract! When you sit there and sign documents, they go over the lease agreement, tell you what your monthly payment is, when it's due, how many months, all that good stuff. But they also fail to mention about this disposition fee and if I do not get another dodge I will be in the same position at the end of my lease. I don't understand why this is not mentioned when signing a lease agreement and how this very important information is left out. People, read your lease agreements and thoroughly examine them as this seems to be a thing with dealerships. read more

Have bought 4 cars here in past three years. Sales people are fine. I would give sales department 3 stars. The one star is for service. Bringing in a car for just a oil change in December 2017. Was told it would take 30-45 minutes. It took 2 1/2 hours!!!!! The reason was because they had a lot of jobs that day. I made an appointment for 11am!!!! I was not out until 1:30!!!!! Unprofessional and unacceptable. I have to purchase cars for two daughters this year and I will not be buying from this dealership due to the service department. read more

Purchased a used car several months ago. The transaction went smoothly no complaints. However within A few months we had to have service done on the car for a major metrical component. The service advisor was friendly and efficient but we were told a major repair was not covered under warranty. It was covered under warranty, and i feel like they were just making a money grab. The day we dropped off the car the service advisor was on vacation and the Service advisor who took over could not find the paperwork on what repairs had to be made to my car or the information on the manufacturer covering the repairs. He seemed quite put out that we would not leave before we had confirmation that the repairs that we agreed to were going to be made. He was quite huffy and kept sighing. Not very welcoming. At the end of the day by 4 PM I had not received a call that my car was ready although I had been guaranteed a one day turnaround. I called and was left on hold for nearly 10 minutes and then the phone was disconnected. After calling back it was ascertained that the car had never even been pulled into the garage abdcthat they could probably get to it the next day. Again the person I spoke with only focused on the main repair and not the three other issues that the manufacturer had agreed to cover and pay for. Again I went through the whole spiel about what had to be done and what was covered. I was left on hold another 10 minutes while they tried to figure it out again. The work did get done and it was ready the next day, but when I went to pick up the car I was simply directed to the cashier , nobody reviewed what had been done with my car or if there were any other issues that I should be aware of etc. Overall not a great experience for service and I really cannot recommend them. read more

No transparency, poor customer service. My husband went in for a recall and to get the back brakes fixed. Midway through the service, they call and ask if he'd like his back window wiper replaced and a bulb replaced in his front foglight. $700 dollar later, we will never visit this place again. I called to discuss the discrepancy in price versus cost of parts and labor. The manager argued on behalf of the employee, that my husband was given a VERBAL estimate over the phone (which he was not) and that the price would be lower at an independent shop but Dutchess Dodge couldn't help me at this point. We have purchased 2 vehicles from here, and referred 2 more recently, a Toyota and a Jeep, we will NEVER recommend anyone to this dealership again. read more

I was in for a recall service, a passenger side airbag recall. A couple days later, my "service active suspension" light came on. Service tech said it was a loose connector in the harness. Guess where that harness is located? Right where they serviced the airbag. A $200 coincidence? Maybe, but I'm not sure I believe that. I've heard many stories from people over the years about service dept shenanigans like this. Are those stories true? Not sure, but I know I feel dissatisfied with the occurrence. read more

If you are looking for a Dodge dealership, this is not the one. We were lied to from start to finish throughout our buying process. From the Sales to Finance to Service departments. After agreeing to terms on a 2021 Dodge RAM Big Horn, our initial inspection of the vehicle found several scratches after it had been reportedly 'detailed' and ready for our sale. In addition, the rear bumper had markings from when they sprayed the liner for the truck bed (which they later attempted to charge us for even though the salesman had advised the dealership would include in the deal at no additional cost) and the interior was half vacuumed. Lastly, when the salesman drove the vehicle around for us to inspect we found two razor blades on the exterior front hood of the car. All of these items were brought to the salesman attention with not much of a reaction other than I will drive it around back to service to see what they can do. They did not do one thing to correct and the salesman was still persistent in having us sign the paperwork, bring the vehicle home and then for us to call back to an make a service appointment for them to fix. We refused. Long story short, it took them 5-6 attempts at 'fixing' all of the issues over the course of 3 plus weeks. Each time requiring us to drive to the dealership to inspect. During this time we did not hear back from one manager. We required to call everyday for updates. We ended up still purchasing after what appeared to be a fully repaired vehicle. And to add, I drove the vehicle approximately 20 miles prior to the low fuel indicator starting to flash. Yes, they allowed me to drive off the lot with less than a quarter tank of gas. Then a couple of days later after the purchase we noticed there was still scratch marks that we thought was fixed. The dealership had tricked us with a wax job. We called immediately to speak to a manager (again) in which we were told they were busy but would leave a message to call us back ASAP. This was a repetitive theme during our entire communication with the dealership. We had requested to speak to a manager countless times. We first spoke to the dealership on March 6th. Ended up purchasing the vehicle on March 31st and as I write this review on April 5th a manager has yet to call us back despite daily requests. Our most recent request for a call back being today, April 5th. This despite several associates, salesman and finance managers advising they have left the message and we will get a call back right away. Shame on us I guess. This place will promise you everything and provide nothing. They did toss a free oil change our way because we said they did nothing to make the situation better. Absolutely zero customer service. I would not go back here if they offered a year worth of free oil changes. It would have been worth paying the extra money for a different vehicle from another dealership. Just don't... Less than ten miles out of the dealership the 2017 Dodge Ram 2500 diesel got a check engine light with a 150 miles warning before it downgraded the truck to 5mph (with 1.5 hour ride ahead and after shop hours). This was after waiting 40 minutes past the agreed upon time to take delivery on this truck. Avoid this place at all costs, unprofessional at the very least. At least the factory warranty is intact. read more

Twice within the last 12 months I have brought my vehicle that I purchased there back in for service issues. Both times the car had to be returned to fix the original issue after picking it up because they did nothing on the original service issue. At one point I even had to have the car towed there because they didn't fix what was wrong with it. They admitted they never test drove the car after fixing it just told me that it was ready. Today something as simple as an indicator light that needed to be "reset with a software update" Took most of the day and when I picked up the car and proceeded to drive 3 miles down the road to go home the light came back on. Again they charged me and did nothing. Jeep is going to get a complaint as well. I will never buy another vehicle from this establishment and I wouldn't let them work on a tricycle. read more

Absolute worst dealership I have dealt with in my entire life and iv had like 10 brand new cars in my life so far. Sometimes you can't even get on the phone with anyone. I'm paying 40k for a car, you can at least provide me with a phone call answer. They're parts Dept is so disarray I got 3 items I ordered for free when they should have cost roughly 500$! I was scammed into buying a 2016 leftover and it still chaps my ass to this day. If you are selling mediocre cars you HAVE to at least provide good service to give the customer something to be happy about. Please do yourself a favor and go to Healy instead iv heard Nothing but good things about them and they're only a few miles away from this crap "business". I have never had a car salesman say to me "well, this is what we are going to do" and walk away. My daughter was about to purchase a 4 year old Jeep Wrangler. There was a spot on the door's window frame that had chipped which resulted in a rust spot. The salesman had told my daughter that they would take care of it. They even left a voicemail message indicating it would be done and they would guarantee the work. When I arrived at the dealer this afternoon (because my wife and I were co-signers), my daughter and son-in-law were outside of the dealership, by themselves. I asked where the salesman was. He had been there then left and they didn't know where he went. My son-in-law was working with the zippered side flap and it was very difficult to zip in the flap. He was able to accomplish this with some effort. They had to argue with the salesman about repairing a rip in the plastic "window" on the rear of the vehicle - the tear had to be pointed out to him to which he told them he'd see if he had a replacement. After approximately 15 minutes of standing on the sidewalk in front of the dealership, my wife, daughter and I went inside to try to locate a staff member. We asked for the salesman - couldn't locate him. Asked for a manager, was told he just walked out. I saw him entering a sister dealership next door. He returned approximately 3 minutes later with paperwork in hand. I introduced myself and told him there was a small problem with the vehicle that was supposed to have been taken care of. We walked outside and I showed him the rust spot on the door's window frame. He told me that they would "cover it up". I asked what that entailed; would they just cover it with some paint? He told us they would cover it with some touch-up paint. I said to him covering up rust could lead to the rust continuing to do more damage. He reiterated that they would just touch up the paint. When my son-in-law played back the voicemail from the salesman explaining how they would take care of this issue, including the guarantee, he was nonplussed. My daughter also pointed out some rust to the under frame to which he replied the vehicle is used and the rust was superficial. Over all, the manager's attitude towards us, as customers, was: this is the vehicle. If you want it, I'll sell it to you. If you don't, I don't care. I have never dealt with a car salesman who didn't make every effort to correct things I didn't like; always a "what can I do to make this right for you?" attitude. Waiting on the sidewalk in front of the dealership by ourselves for close to 20 minutes was a bad enough impression of their business. Dealing with the manager sealed my impression - I'll never recommend anyone go there for a car. read more

Ok, so i just got a 2018 Dodge Challenger GT AWD from this dealership. The salesman, Noel Cappelletti was awesome.  I initially bought a friend up to purchase a car, and while there, just lightly inquired about the Challenger. Since i wasn't ready to purchase at the time, Noel took my info and promised to stay in touch if any deals came up. Well, several days later he called me with a deal i couldn't pass up.  I am now the proud owner of a Dodge Challenger GT.  Noel was a pleasure to work with although the service department could have done a bit better with the prep. Upon getting home, I found residual papers from the preparation of the vehicle stuffed in the side door compartments. Also, the upgraded GT brake and gas pedal overlays weren't installed, instead i found them in the trunk in an unopened box. Overall, this was still a great car buying experience and the prep guys did have the vehicle looking spotless......I'll be going back for my oil changes.....oh, I've also uploaded a picture... read more

Too much to say. I would never go there again. The year-old car I purchased still reeks of smoke, despite it being detailed and the windows left open for two weeks. This was one of the two issues that I was assured would be fixed before I purchased the car and were never addressed. The process of purchasing the car (even though the car was purchased outright) was lengthy and the staff lacked communication to one another and myself. I felt my experience was sub-pair at best and I would never recommend anyone else to go there. They pride themselves on being personable and professional, neither of which I experienced. read more

They are con artists. Best to avoid. They pawned off a terrible Honda Civic in exchange for a Kia Soul, the civic has been one problem after another and they refused to take it back or offer any compensation. Very slimey business, best to go somewhere else more ethical. read more

Absolutely terrible experience. I had been looking for a very specific vehicle, and I found it here, two hours away from my home. Delt with a salesman who not only didn't know anything about the vehicle, wouldn't find out or provide service information. Kept going back and forth to god knows where and wasting my time. Told me services that were performed and clearly were not when I came to pick up the vehicle. They didn't even clean the vehicle interior when I picked it up, but I signed off that it was detailed anyway just because I wanted to get the f out of there. The only good thing about them was they honored the kbb trade in value of my trade in. A few days after I took the vehicle home, I received an automated message from the service department asking if I was happy had any questions etc. So I called them and asked what they did. Long story they said they did what they could do for it but I took it to the dealer near me and they fixed it in a day. They also entered the incorrect mileage on my VIN number above what it truly is and wouldn't fix it. They sucked all the fun out of finding my dream jeep and turned it into a miserable experience. read more
