Buyers be aware I initially thought the dealership was great, but as usual, I encountered some classic issues. They tell you what you want to hear just to make the sale, and after that, they seem clueless when you have questions. I asked for my car registration, and they sent me something completely different. Their ego prevents them from admitting their mistakes. It has gotten much worse with this dealership. My car registration has still not arrived, and now my car is being towed. I called Frank, and he said he doesn't care about my situation at all. Additionally, he processed the car title under the co-signer's name, which gives him more time to deal with his own issues. Got to mention genuinely friendly, very respectful, professional (not pushy like most of the car dealer places are, in my experience) He had showed and explained us every single little and important details that we needed to know. I cannot leave a comment under my initial review so this is my response to Frank, the owner. Upon my initial conversation with Kevin, who is also the one who gave me the reassurance that if i ever needed anything I can bring my car back to Thrive and they will work on it, his immediate response was "I don't have time for that. You can bring your car in and I can look for the tool you need but I don't have time to change your tires." I expressed the fact that I would be driving over an hour away for him to look for something I've already searched for myself and know isn't in my vehicle and he responded that Walmart should've had the tool I needed as if that would have made them magically retain the tool needed. I have no reason to lie and in the future will just record conversations with your company/employees so people can see for themselves. I never asked for an immediate appointment and when I told Kevin that over the phone he calmed his tone and chuckled saying "Oh I thought you were asking for something sooner" Kevin made it clear Just to change the lug nuts it would still be a week or so to get me in. I was sold the car without the tool needed to change my tires. As a car dealership, I'm sure every single one of your employees, and you included, know tires will need to be changed eventually on every car. THE LEAST YOU GUYS COULD DO IS CHANGE THE LUG NUTS FOR FREE FOR THE INCONVENIENCE so I dont think that gesture was "being nice". I declined due to the unprofessionalism i originally dealt with in the beginning of the conversation. Needless to say. I give credit when credit is due. I have called earlier in the year due to my cars cooling system also not working and again, couldn't be seen for weeks out. When I explained that this is the vehicle I use to travel with my children, Kevin stated that he hadn't had AC in his home for however many weeks so in better terms I was told to just deal with it lol. I bit my tongue and found help elsewhere. All in all, just don't make promises that you will have a hard time keeping. People are going to buy cars regardless but to give false hope and say I can come back when I have an issue and then when I do have an issue I'm told you guys are not mechanics and do not have time for my issues, it DOES feel as if you cared until you got your money! We were in the Wallkill area trying to find a car for our son. We looked all over Newburgh and even went to Connecticut!! Our first stop in our shopping adventure was Thrive Auto. We were helped by Jeremy at first and took a test drive. After looking at seven different auto dealers (large and small) we knew that Thrive had the car for us!! We went back and Frank was so kind and really accommodating. We were from out of state and didn't have an easy time trying to get the cashiers checks for our purchase. These guys specifically a guy names Frank sold me a car that will not pass inspection. The car cost $6,500 and it needs $5,000 in parts alone just to get it to pass inspection, when I called them to see if they could help me out they essentially told me to go fuck myself. I felt compelled to write this review. About a month ago, I was looking for a car for my son who lives in the Hudson Valley area. Saw a car we were interested in, and made contact with Thrive Auto Sales. From the initial contact, through the test drive, as well as an independent inspection of the vehicle, Frank was professional, courteous, and responsive. Mind you, I was conducting this transaction from 600 miles away! The car was fairly priced, car fax came back no issues, and Frank walked my son through everything at a far higher level than I was expecting from a dealer, to be honest with you. I've been searching for a reliable used car for almost a month in dutchess and orange county ny. used car prices are outrageous right now and the miles are super high. my recent experience with used car dealers has been very unpleasant. Thrive auto sales had a decent selection of vehicles, all at reasonable prices. My mechanics looked the car (Honda pilot) over before i made the purchase and gave it the thumbs up!
