Terrible service dept. my vehicle door opened while driving. The service writer couldn't have been less helpful. He " didn't want me to have to wait" so they could be bothered to check on a vehicle less than 6 months in the road with catastrophic safety failure while in motion, jeopardizing minor occupants read more

One final review to these bums, 3 transmissions later in 4 years on a brand new car, 2 thermostat changes for the problem never to be fixed. Went back for car overheating. Had my car for a month and when i call they say they don't know what's wrong with it?? Aren't you mechanics? Joe from service is the worst hope he gets fired. Every thing was two weeks to a month for work but no rentals. Then suddenly i make a complaint then the next day they have a rental for me?? You guys are all pathetic and i am super happy i got rid of your piece of garbage you guys gave away. I hope the worst for your dealership. SERIOUS CON ARTISTS. They have a con that will make your head spin. What happened: I agreed to the trade in value on my Jeep and agreed on the lease terms for my new Kia. We signed the papers for the trade in and then the finance manager said he would be unavailable to do the lease papers for two days. I thought nothing of it. (Idiot that I am) BUT THEN two days later the real lease terms were outrageous. But I no longer owned my Jeep so I was screwed. I talked to people about this and heard they have the worst reputation for sleaze. And warning: NEVER do a trade-in on a lease. Ever. And NEVER put a deposit on a lease. It is different from a purchase that is financed. (I had never done a lease so I didn't know until it was too late) It turns out your trade-in value and deposit ARE NOT COVERED BY INSURANCE of the lease. I hope this helps someone avoid the trap I fell into. Better yet, just don't walk in the door. read more

Purchased a used 2023 Truck. We live in another state and were assured there would not be an issue with plates and title for another state. We are 3 months out and finally received the plates (past the temp plate expiration date). We are still trying to obtain the title as the we paid cash. Dealer has told us it is our problem and to go to DMV. Very unprofessional dealer. read more

Amazing experience at Dutchess Kia! I recently relocated from Queens to Hyde Park and previously leased from Yonkers Kia. The experience at Dutchess Kia was soooo much better and more personable. I didn't feel like just a number to them. My salesman was Chris! He was amazing and treated both my dad and myself with lots of respect. Once you get my dad talking about the Steelers he's sold before we start signing papers, lol. When I first met Chris I told him exactly what I wanted, "Seltos with a sunroof." Then it was history. Due to inclement weather, I came back two days later and picked up my 2021 Kia Seltos EX in Neptune Blue. The car is everything I hoped for AND MORE! they don't even deserve a one star for what my mother has been through with this place the service department is horrible if you love your life and cherish your safety and your families safety PLEASE take your car somewhere else my mom had troubles with her car and thought it may have been electricAl had her car towed in 2 times since January. she got her car back after it being towed the first time and the car displayed the same issues that it had after Scott from KIA said it was ok to drive nothing was wrong with the car mind you it's less than 24 hours that she had the car back and it had to be towed again almost causing an accident because the wheel locked up while driving . Now we are in February and the car is at the dealer almost no communication unless my mom calls and checks on the status of the car they claimed that the car would not start or jump after driving it down to 84 and back and they were trying to figure out why . I went to the dealer personally on February 26th and took a picture of my moms car where it was parked and I spoke to Scott he said they were working on it. 3 times a week that I passed the dealer I would stop and take a picture of my mothers car and it was in the same spot .My mom calls and checks on the car they claim they can't find the issue and made a claim with KIA TECH LINE still nothing saying that KIA TECH LINE told them to keep doing what they are doing which was nothing. My mother took a picture of her mileage the day her car got towed for the second time . My mother got her car towed from KIA IN POUGHKEEPSIE just this past FRIDAY April 18th 2025 . And what do you know the tow truck Driver placed cable on the car to jump it and what do you know the car started .... Thought you couldn't get it to jump or start SCOTT.... Now it's at another place that is actually doing work and take a picture of the mileage GUESS what there is only a one mile difference from when it got towed in early February why lie about the things that you are supposedly doing to a customers car . Scott your guys drove it down to 84 and back right no issues ! What away to treat a customer that bought a car from this same KIA DEALERSHIP and trusted you to fix it when there was an issue. You guys should be ashamed of yourselves and KELLY you oversee what they're doing so you know they're lying what a way to manage your staff. read more

Horrible experience! We showed up at this poorly stocked dealership, and within 30 seconds of our looking on the lot, a salesperson who goes by "D" pounced. We mentioned we were in the market for a certified vehicle, and we went inside to discuss what was available. I asked where the restroom was and D told me that someone was using it. One toilet for the entire business?? I went back to my seat and then a family with a little girl, stood by the restroom, so the little girl could go next, losing my place in line. After about 10 minutes, some guy came out, and the little girl took her turn. Finally I got my turn. D told us he was going to get the key to the vehicle he wanted us to test drive, and he told the man who was in the bathroom all that time to show us the vehicle. As Julie and I got outside to meet this gentleman, the foul stench of his overbearing cologne filled the outside air. He was 50 feet away, and yet this was one of the worst smells we've experienced. It was so overwhelming, we became sick instantly! We told the man, "Thanks, but we're going to look some place else." As we were headed to our car D came out and asked us why we were leaving. When we explained about the cologne he said, "Deal with me! I don't have any cologne!" We were so turned off, we couldn't proceed any further. This place needs to get it together or they won't last. read more

I leased a Kia Optima from this dealer. The purchase process went ok. They did raise the cost of the lease $10 a month over the quote. They claimed it was credit related but the score they pulled up was higher than what I gave them originally. I am paying for regular oil changes and they have been good with them. However I made an appointment for an oil change and to put two snow tires on. It took two hours for them to complete the job. I never was given any explanation for the wait. If I had driven in without an appointment at many places I still wouldn't have waited that long. At this point I am loosing interest in leasing with this dealer again. read more

We started off by telling Steve Fernandez, our salesman, we wanted a lower monthly payment on a car. After almost 2 hours, we chose our Kia and Steve ran the numbers. He came back with a payment that was almost 20.00 more a month. When we said that wouldn't work, he looked at us and said," how did we expect to get something newer that cost less?"...we were frustrated and said we were going to look at another dealer. Well magically, Steve ran to his finance guy, and POOF...we had a much lower payment on the SAME car. When asked if we could have the courtesy of still checking with another dealer, we were told by Steve that this was a take it or leave it deal. We were told by the Finance guy that this was a free country and we could go wherever we wanted. We left Dutchess Kia and looked elsewhere. We did contact the owner, Sean, who explained that Steve's actions did not represent his dealership. He invited us back, explained all the details, and assured us that the new deal was legit and would be honored until the end of the month. To Sean's credit, we ended up sticking with a KIA. Just a word of advice....if you decide to go with Dutchess Dodge/KIA...ask to speak with Sean. Otherwise, you may get screwed. read more
