#9/2024 This is a huddle House that is basically gone up and down ever since covid. They've had some great staff they'd had some piss poor staff. Well, what I will say though is over the last year/ year and a quarter it's been pretty solid. I've had a few breakfasts here and a dinner here. Right now as of March 29th and 30th of 2024 I've had two breakfast here and they've been excellent and the service has been very good. I had a ribeye steak and eggs with hash browns and raisin toast and the following morning I came in and I had a couple of eggs sausage patties raisin toast again so it was tasty with the hash browns. The eggs were cooked the way that I like them over easy once sunny side up the other. The service was great the coffee was hot so reflecting my experience which is how I do my reviews I may go into a one-star restaurant give it five damn Stars LOL!! Because BECAUSE FOLKS I WILL TELL YOU RIGHT NOW MY REVIEWS REFLECT ON MY EXPERIENCE NOT WHAT THE REVIEWS OF OTHERS DICTATES. THAT BEING SAID IT HAS GONE THE OTHER WAY BEFORE TOO I'VE GONE INTO FIVE STAR THINGS AND I'VE WALKED OUT WITH A TWO-STAR EXPERIENCE! So in closing on this one keep up the good work nice to know it's still good and decent for a nice breakfast after delivering to John Deere before going down to John Deere or getting stuck for the whole weekend like I did. read more

Found this little gem in Thibodaux one morning and let's just say.. if there is on near I will go here before the waffle house EVERYTIME. Better variety than waffle house, better waffles and they have a turkey sausage option. (I dont eat pork). Service was great here very clean location. This a good place to get a quick breakfast..we are from Los Angeles and the first thing I noticed was a slight smell of cigarette inside...something we are not use to. I ordered the southern country sausage smothered biscuits. They were ok...I felt it needed a bit more eggs but it is what it is. The flavoring of the gravy was ok but the sausage patties were very good. My son ordered the pancake plate and the pancakes came out like 10-15 min after he finished. Went hungover looking for a greasy food fix and left a changed woman. Our server Terri gave us excellent service and was incredibly kind and conversational with me and my boyfriend. She shared her personal recommendations and stories as well as recommended we try the new menu item the breakfast casseroles. Let me tell you, I have never tasted anything better in my life. I think at one point I left my body and had some sort of spiritual awakening/experience. Never would have tried it if it wasn't for Terri, she's my dawg. Can't wait to go back and see her. Huddle House is alright. The food was okay, I would say their biscuits and gravy was the best thing there. They seemed to keep getting our food mixed up, but nothing that is that bad just inconvenient. I will say if you want a quick fast cheap breakfast then come here. read more

I like me some breakfast and too few places in Thibodaux offer it. The Huddle House is known for its roadhouse fare. Breakfast all day, Burgers, chicken fried steak, etc. As we made our way up highway 1 to Thibodaux for a long day at the studio, I pulled into the parking lot and was happily surprised as I walked through the doors. The Huddle House has gone through a modern interior upgrade. They've taken out their counter out and that's okay, I thought the stationary stools were too far away for comfort. Today I ordered the ribeye, eggs, hash browns and toast. I'm not normally a steak for breakfast person, but last the I was here I ordered one as a tribute to my father and the memories of long ago breakfast times with him. I'll be truthful I wasn't expecting the tenderness of the thinly cut steak, but it was truly as pleasurable experience. So much so, that I find myself ordering one again today! What bit of magic is going on in that kitchen? I can hear the ladies laughing and making jokes, shouting kitchen speak "6 poppers!" It must be love because it's tastes sooooo good. Even the wee man is hypnotized by the Huddle House magic as he gobbles down most joyfully, a French Toast platter with a hot chocolate and then announced he would like an additional waffle. Oh my!!! Well sure!! I like this place and with its fancy new upgrade, all the better. Look for my girl, Troylaycia, she was sweet, efficient, and came around just at the right time.... One of the world's most wonderful gifts has got to be breakfast. It is just so darn glorious. Huddle House is one of the few places in Thibodaux where you can get breakfast any day, any time. For that, I am truly grateful. The staff has always been fabulous to me. Usually it's only one server helping the entire joint, and I am often pleasantly surprised by how kind, polite, and quick that server is, even when the house is full. One star up to the staff. The food, on the other hand, is rather mediocre. I can't speak for anything on the menu other than the MVP. For being a breakfast place, I would think they'd have hashbrowns on lock, but it's a mixed bag sometimes. The last batch came out with the top so tough, it was unpleasant to chew, but the bottom so undercooked and floppy, I didn't finish. The bacon is usually pretty well crisped. Pancakes are the bomb dot com. The grits, make me so deeply sad, so I go with the biscuit instead. Not my top pick, but it'll do when you NEED to have breakfast NOW. read more

The service is poor and we ended up waiting an hour for our food. And witnessed 6 orders of the same platters we ordered get served before us. We spoke with the manager, calmly and respectfully, and she was impolite and rude. The food came out cold and we didn't get a discount. read more

The food was moderately adequate, however the service/server was subpar. Would definitely recommend ordering to go if the huddle house is your restaurant choice for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. As I'm sure that was the reason why so many where waiting for the food to go. If anyone knows the manger, please inform this individual that he/she really needs to consider hiring people with a better attitude and that can at least give their customers a smile! I am very disappointed with this Huddle House. I live in Houma and I have to travel to Thibodaux to eat at this restaurant. I drove to Thibodaux on two occasions recently just to find they had closed early. So I started calling ahead before I went just to make sure they were open. Two days ago I called them at 3 PM just to make sure of what time they planned to close so we could go there for dinner. They said they closed at 6, so at 5 we arrived just to find that they were closed. NOT COOL! While we were in the car deciding where to eat since they were closed another couple pulled up. I started talking to them and they also said they called before they came and were told they close at 6. At this rate, Huddle House should at least give us a free meal or two for all the gas we wasted driving to their restaurant just to find they were closed. I am not even sure if I will even go back as my experience with them lately has been so bad and I really don't like wasting gas when they tell me they will be open and then once I get there to find out they are closed. read more

Upon arriving the table we chose to sit at was still dirty with crumbs from a previous customer. No big deal, we asked for her to clean it and she did. We order our drinks and the lemonade was horrible. Pity thing to gripe about right? Allow me to continue. We order our food and the hash browns with cheese was simply hash browns with a slice of cheese thrown on top. I mean at least melt it in. Well it's a fast food place, what can you expect right? We open our silverware and everyone's fork was dirty. Food particles still on the fork. So as you can probably tell this wasn't the best experience I've encountered. read more

My husband and I drove to Grand Isle, LA from Baton Rouge, LA on 12/03/2011 and decided to drive back to Thibodaux simply because there was a Huddle House. We had briefly entertained the idea of getting a hotel room in Grand Isle, but my husband was being nostalgic since he grew up eating Huddle House in Atlanta, GA and was anxious to eat there again. He bragged about the food, saying it was inexpensive but very good! So, we looked forward to our meal. It was a nearly two hour drive from Grand Isle, back to Thibodaux, with an unexpected delay for a Christmas Parade in Lockport. Due to that, we were stopped, with no alternate route for over 45 minutes. We arrived at Huddle House in Thibodaux at approximately 8:00 pm and were tired, road weary, sand worn and starving. Our waitress was a simpleton at best. It took over 15 minutes after we ordered our tea to receive it. She apologized for the delay and stated that they were short-handed. We were the only customers at the time! When we ordered our food, we ordered straight off the menu. I ordered the Steakhouse burger meal and my husband ordered the Extreme cheese burger meal. The only changes were that I requested no steak sauce on the burger - mayo only. My husband asked for the Chipotle Mayo on his. The waitress did not know what Chipotle was and wrote "pilot mayo" on the ticket. We had to spell it for her. I was concerned at the time it took to just get our tea, so I ordered the Mozzarella Cheese Stick Appetizer. Thank goodness I did that! We also ordered a chicken tender starter for our dog - to go. The food came and neither of our meals was remotely close to what we ordered. My burger did not have onions or mushrooms as indicated on the menu, but had three kinds of cheese and bacon. My husband's burger had onions, mushrooms, steak sauce and two onion rings! Neither one was even close to correct! When we told the waitress, she glared at us and did not apologize. Instead, she called the cook over to our table. We told him the problem and he removed the plates and did not apologize either. We decided to leave. We had waited 45 minutes for our food and were the only customers. A female customer had walked in and ordered something to go during that 45 minutes. We later learned that was the sister of the waitress (Daphne was the waitress' name). We were the only customers, with three staff members and it took 45 minutes to receive our incorrect order? The chicken tender starter was also wrong. They gave us the box/basket dinner instead. Disgusted with our entire experience, we went to pay for what we HAD gotten that was sort of correct. When we told the waitress that we wanted to pay for what we had gotten, but cancel the rest, she yelled to the cook that we wanted to void our ticket. He in turn stomped over, furious and thinking that we didn't want to pay for anything. We explained we were going to pay for what we had gotten (Mozzarella Sticks Appetizer, two teas, the chicken tenders for our dog - which was wrong, over a dollar more than what I ordered, but I just wanted to pay and leave!). The cook settled down, apologized once and we left. We were terribly disappointed, as we had looked forward to the meal - all day long. Is this how all customers are treated? To be honest, after waiting for 45 minutes for an INCORRECT order, the least they could have done is discounted what we HAD gotten. But they did not and charged us full price. After this experience, I will never go to a Huddle House again!! We are very disappointed and outraged. read more

We keep trying to give this place our business but they always disappoint. It's dirty, humid, and the service is extremely slow. We are done and are hoping a Waffle House opens up in Thibodaux. If they do, Huddle House will go out of business. read more

I gave Huddle House 1 because 0 wasn't an option. I went to HH with 2 friends. Now my friend always raved about how great HH was so I had tried it while we were on vacation during Labor Day and agreed. It was great! We ate breakfast/lunch there 3 times on a 4 day weekend. Sooo, here we 3 load up & drive for an hr to go to the nearest HH for Sunday breakfast. We all ordered coffee, only got 2, no sugar on the table, asked for our 3rd coffee and cream and sugar. 6 minutes later we get the 1 coffee, but they are out of cups. I don't care coffee is coffee. still no cream or sugar and she forgot her pad to take our order. Comes back with the pad and cream.....still no sugar. Takes our order comes back with sugar and refills for the coffee. We ended up drinking black coffee. I still don't care. ....as long as she doesn't mess up the food order. Which she did. On all 3 orders. One ordered sausage-got bacon. The other ordered a waffle, because I told her how great they were. She never got it. I ordered eggs over med and xx crispy hash browns, my eggs came back over easy and hash browns were like the other three. All of the food was cold except for the gravy. This is totally unacceptable. Food is good but like anything else it depends on which shift you get. Sometimes -excellent service and food fixed just as you asked for - other times slow service, order mixed up or they forgot you said hash browns in place of grits or they forgot the onions and gravy. Can be hit or miss - but for the most part its good. read more
