on Dec. 24, 2025 my husband and I wen to this location for breakfast only to walk out. The server came to take our order, after taking a table that came in after us. I asked about the special breakfast that came with a drink. She said they had no such item, when I (politely) said they used to maybe it was before her time could I have.......she walked off and said she would send another server, then proceeded to serve another table that came in after us. Whomever she told did not come to help us and after waiting some more, we left. We have eaten there several times and have never had such rudeness. We were not rude just asked a question. We stopped for breakfast while driving through starke from Jacksonville and were delightfully surprised with the food and service at this Huddle House location. The portions were generous and each item cooked to perfection . We were particularly impressed with how clean everything was, from the menus to the sparkling, clean restrooms. I would go out of my way to eat here again. read more

One week ago this Huddle House was great tonight food cold and incorrect. Brought out one at a time and we were done by the time the last meal came. Over charged us on 4 meals. Will not be back. read more

This location closed during Covid but recently reopened. We ate a Huddle House bowl and country fried steak. We were pleasantly surprised at the quality of the food and the friendliness of the staff. I recommend giving them a try! read more

On an impromptu road trip, my husband and I and a family friend ended up in Starke at 5 am on a Saturday and we were all hungry. This was the first restaurant we saw open and I'm grateful they were because after we left, we didn't pass another for at least another hour or so. We were the only ones there except for a waitress and a cook. Frankly, we were treated like royalty. LOL I have to admit, it was very nice to be literally the only people in a restaurant. Everything was spotless (including the bathrooms) and the place smelled great. The man and woman working were pleasant and didn't hover. Food came out fast, hot and obviously fresh. We all ordered differently cooked eggs - sunny side up, over easy, and scrambled. All 3 came out textbook perfect. The bacon was cooked to perfection. Seriously. Crisp and not chewy or greasy. Mmm. The waffle was very good, a little more on the sweet side (like a dessert) but still good. My only complaint (not their fault) is that all the breakfast items on the menu that I could see were huge platters. What I ordered (eggs, bacon, waffle) was the smallest thing I could get. All in all, it was an excellent start to a busy day. We will be back next time we are in that neck of the woods. read more

I've been to this Huddle House in Starke before with my ex-boyfriend as he lives in the area. If you are looking for somewhere to go in the middle of the night in Starke and get food, it's pretty much this or nothing . . . or Walmart's grocery section. Seriously. I think IHOP and McDonald's both shut up shop around midnight even on weekends so . . . if it's later or a weekday you're having yourself some Huddle House. The atmosphere isn't much: I don't think they've redone the place since the Carter years. It's what you'd expect for a short-order place like this in a small town, really. The waitstaff was friendly enough, but the quality of food I fear is below IHOP. I've had waffles here mainly, but also other breakfast dishes and my ex-boyfriend had one of their salads. Nothing at all impressive and honestly, not as cheap as you'd expect for the venue either. The waffles though were alright and they had Tanya Tucker on the sound system. I will give them at least three stars for these factors and for fond memories. read more

Huddle Houses are a southern thing, kind of like a divey Denny's or a Waffle House? I find the ones in the larger cities to be a bit bigger, better staffed, and nicer. We came here based on that name assumption but it was kind of just a dinky little place. Probably more like a two star review. The food is not that good and I had to ask for everything. Very slow service. The food was bland, basic breakfast fare, Nice waitress though. I gave it three stars because the staff was nice. With that said though, They ignored me for a long time when we tried to pay. Normally I do not mind, but ten minutes? And we had a flight to catch. The cook was in and out of the kitchen to the grill like ten times and she did not even acknowledge me standing at the register for all that time. I was tempted to just leave the money on the table and leave the place. Nothing against the staff but I think they just need to hire more of them. read more

If I could give them 0 stars, I would. I used to love going to the Huddle House in starke. But the last year, I've quit going completely. I brought my 7 year old & myself in there twice, & was completely ignored both times...hence, why I will never return, & hv talked several people into going somewhere else for breakfast-u upset 1 customer-u may be scaring away a dozen or more, at least with me. They've lost so much business bc of those 2 days. This rude lil brown haired girl refused to serve me & my child. She actually came out & looked at us both times, didn't say hi or anything, & just never came over to our table. We waited 15 mins-& no service. Not even drinks, or can u pls wait a few mins-nothing! I didn't know the rude girl working & I don't know what her problem was-but my family & friends won't even go there for coffee anymore. I was going to give her at least a $10 tip, too-stupid rude people. Huddle house in starke has the worst service ever. So why go there when there's an IHOP right down the road 5 mins, that will treat u like a king or queen? read more

Why go to the Huddle house? To taste the scrambled eggs made by Jason. I'm serious when I say they are the best scrambled eggs I have ever had in my life. I've been here twice and had scrambled eggs both times. They were good the first time, so I ordered them again. The second time is when Jason cooked them. I can't explain what makes them so great, you just need to experience it so you understand. The other food was good, it's what you would expect at a place open 24-hours. The staff was great. And because I don't want anything to take away from the eggs I must add that I hadn't been drinking and wasn't starving. read more

Just disappointing. We have been to different huddle houses but this is the worst we have been. When my boyfriend entered the huddle house the cook came up to him and said I really need to take a smoke break but you can order in there. He said okay and went in to order. Service was okay but it was after the cook returned that was appalling. First he did not notice the cook wash his hands returning to the kitchen. The cook was handling food with his bare hands placing raw bacon on the griddle, patties, cheese, buns etc. Not only that but the waitress and cook had little arguments in between as well as the cook arguing with his kids who were in the restaurant as well. This place is ridiculous. We have been waiting for an hour. After watching one set of customers leave not receiving service for a long wait for them as well, the waitress starts fussing that they left the money but did not eat. The waitresses are bad mouthing them in front of everyone. Then they approach our table and tried joking, are you going to throw food at us for having to wait. I stood up for the customers that did not even throw the food, and said look they paid they did not eat it and they did not throw anything at you. There is nothing for her to joke about here. After an hour wait we received the majority of our order. Service here is awful. read more

Drove into town centered on rendezvous with LDC at IHOP, 11: O' AM. Drove in IHOP parking lot and noticed people sitting at every table inside the windows. Drove around the side to see my LDC sitting in her regular parking spot, reclined and napping as usual. Drove up next to her car and notice very large tour bus parked toward the rear of the lot. LDC gets into my car and we discuss that IHOP is full. and we probably can't sit at our regular love birds table, DAMN TOURISTS! Drove back around peering inside as we slowly did a drive by. Dirty looks were exchanged. If lurid gazes could have driven the kill, there would have been a massacre at IHOP. We drove out on the main drag and turned right. Driving full speed ahead at 24 MPH, no reason to be full of angst, I fell back on my plan 'B'. There, straight ahead on right, I pulled into HH. The LDC said, ' what is this? ' It will be fine sweetie, it will be good. ' But its not IHOP '. Come on, lets give them a try? The place was empty. We had to drive ourselves to get out of the car and walk in. I ordered 2 over easy, hash browns and toast, LDC got the veggie omelet. Coffee creamer and sweetener not on tables, had to ask the waitress. 2 Stars across the board. Love the people here. Always friendly and welcoming. Th menu is simple fast food nothing fancy but the food is always good. The prices are reasonable and you cannot get a better breakfast price anywhere. I like that the menu is any meal at anytime as I used to work night-shift and would go there at 8am and have a patty-melt and fries or at 9pm and order breakfast. Their omelets are huge. read more

Terrible service...I misunderstood the waitress about the country fried steak. I thought she said country fried chicken..I don't eat beef, she brought me a country fried steak. I asked her if it was chicken and she said no. I told her I don't eat beef, she either told me it i thought she told me that it would be chicken...an honest mistake right, so you would think they would offer me something else, since I can't eat the beef or I will be violently ill..But no, offer, no I'm sorry, nothing...it cost me 15.00 for a baked potato and green beans..not even a discount..I will never ever go to a Huddle House again..EVER!!!!! read more

Huddle House of Starke Fl. 32091 My kids wanted to take me out for breakfast {So Sweet Of Them} We sat down about 8:15 the waitress asked us what we wanted to drink. 15 minutes she came and asked us for our food order. Which took thirty minutes to get. The silverware was missing a fork. No problem... My Daughter asked the waitress for the missing fork as she held up the spoon and knife. The waitress {VERY RUDE} Snatched the spoon and knife from her. Finally our food came. She left out toast and grits. Which the girts looked like slop. Not really sure what they tasted like. The bacon was BURNT to a crisp. I mean she picked up the bacon and it crumpled into pieces. She asked the waitress for more bacon and the waitress that is how they are suppose to cook it. Burnt. The eggs was cold and runny. The has browns was hard and cold. The omelet was not cooked fully. And on top of the whole thing... Everyone is sick. My poor toilet!!! I suggest you NOT eat at the Huddle House of Starke Florida. It should be shut down. This is my third time trying it and all three time the food and service has been BAD. Bad to the point that they may have given us Food Poisoning. Any where is better than "Huddle House Of Starke, Florida." This store gets 0 for a rating. read more

horrible people small portions burnt food then you call corporate to tell them your experience they have the manager call you then she calls yelling and cussing at you acting belligerent telling you your a liar and the kicker is we went there at 3 am when she wasent even there so how would she know what happened to us im so appalled by this there portions have gotten so small a kids meal from a burger joint is more filling burnt my sisters french toast burnt my chicken strips and gave me like 8 and yes i counted tiny little french fries dont waist your time or money at this business god bless read more
