Great atmosphere!

Really good breakfast! Great delicious hot food at very affordable prices. Servers were friendly and responsive. I would definitely recommend this place and will come again soon!

The food is so good. We got it to go and the burgers and onion rings were amazing!! Such a great local place.

We has to come back!! Yes, the food is just that good. Biscuit's and sausage gravy!!

Their service is outstanding! We ate breakfast. The cathead skillet biscuits with sausage gravy is worth the drive only. The new location is out by the airport! Don's Western omelet is great. True to the name it feels like your in grandma's wooden breakfast table.

Nice place off the freeway for some good breakfast. Went here in the morning and ordered their sausage skillet. It's the perfect stop if you are looking for a cheap and simple breakfast, Will stop by here next time whenever I am on my road trips. Service is quick and there was no wait but seemed pretty busy inside.

Hamburger Steak with gravy, fries and green beans.

Very nice restaurant. Every table was different, with different arrangements. Slow but very friendly service. Food did come out faster than expected. Very good County Style cooking. We will come back!

Great food served fast and friendly. They have reasonable prices too. They are a booth and counter type of place, like Waffle House.

My table ordered two appetizers: fried okra and onion rings. I am not a fan of okra...ever. THIS okra, however, was actually more than tolerable. I found myself going back for more. The onion rings were also tasty and not a pain to eat as the onion didn't slip out with the first bite. For my entree, I ordered the fried catfish with tartar sauce and a side of coleslaw. The catfish was fried to perfection. Seriously. So tender. And the tartar sauce was bangin'! The coleslaw was a little on the sweet side, but that's how it's preferred by many. I will definitely be returning when I am back in town!

Bbq beef plate was just shaved beef with lettuce and tomato. $11. My $16 club was decent. Turkey tasted like deli meat. Children's chicken finger plate was $8 and he got one singular chicken finger. I know sometimes they go off weight but that was a little absurd. Overall, we would not travel off of 75 to return here but if you're in the area I think it could be worth another try.

Thank you YELP! yet again for helping me find a fantastic joint…read more Went in on a Tuesday night. Parked right across the street in a public lot. Short walk to Halpatter's. Not many tables in the bar area so... we sat right at the bar. The bartender had all kinds of attitude... in the BEST way possible. It was awesome. We started with 12 wings tossed in their buffalo sauce. They were excellent - and this coming from a wing snob. The blue cheese was very good - thick and chunky. For the main course, I got the fish and chips with an extra piece of fish. The fish was great. Fries were above average. They had music bingo (maybe a Tuesday thing?) - that was a bit much but c'est la vie. There was one dude shouting out every song and singer. My guy, get a hobby! lol Highly Recommend! If I lived in that area, I would be a regular!

Especially, the abundance of free parking in downtown Lake City. The Friday night I was there, there was music bingo and a live band. They have live music every Friday and Saturday at the outside stage. Monday is game night. Tuesday is Trivia. Wednesday they have line dancing, including classes for like $5. Thursday is Karaoke!!!! They have a "Culture of Generosity" where you can buy a beer forward. I actually got to be the recipient of one of those free beers. And of course, I paid it forward. The BEER: Seymour-Finnegan's Irish Red Ale 5.7%... smooth slightly sweet great tasting all day crushable goodness Hop Culture IPA 6.5% ABV... looks like a hazy, tastes like a west coast, definitely high in IBUs, has fruity pine nose, good if you love your IPAs extra piney, so very hop forward Pickle Sour 4.5% ABV... oh he11 yummm, I absolutely love this pickle sour. Soooo very good! Rum soaked oak barrel aged Big Hal 7% ABV... there was something I really liked about this. It is a brown ale with a whole bunch of personality Don't have the words though. Big Hal brown ale 6 8% ABV... now I know what I liked about the Rum Soaked Barrel Aged Big Hal this is an all day drinkable brown ale. LOVED IT! I can honestly say I found some fantastic Beer in Lake City, FL. What a wonderful way to spend a Friday evening.
