12/21/19 Stopped here during a long road trip. I was so hungry.Ordered a single patty with cheese and all the toppings. A small fries, and soft drink. The person preparing the food greeted me with a smile. My food was prepared fresh while I waited. Every bite was so delicious. Probably one of the best burgers I have ever tasted. What a friendly place! We were greeted with loud, mirthful, happy greetings. Then our order was taken by a friendly, efficient cashier. We didn't have to wait long for our number to be called. It wasn't overly busy. More fries than we both could eat - and it was a small order! They were so good, too. The burgers weren't mashed down. They were still juicy. They were prepared exactly as requested. The restaurant was clean, bright, and we had our choice of tables. Only one of the drink machines was working. They also had freshly brewed ice tea available. The Sprite Zero didn't taste right. Nor did the Coke Zero. The mix was off. Too much seltzer. Told the manager who was willing to take it for a test run. He fixed the other machine, and then worked on the malfunctioning run. Told us it had something to do with the nozzle. Now that's service! read more

I love Five Guys. I've eaten at them all over the country. Ironically, this was the last place I ate inside before restaurants went to take out only. I always get the bacon cheese burger with fries. Well this sucks. I've worked at a five guys for over 3 years and this establishment does not hold the standards. Found a pre cook in my fries they were not crispy on the outside and potato insides. Not only this but the topper for the large fry was nothing. The burger itself was alright however the ticket time was 12 minutes. This is unacceptable especially when I was the only person in the store. Better off finding another five guys read more

Food was excellent. Service was good & reasonable in terms of wait. But it makes no difference whether a customer orders 1 item or 20. Customer service NEEDS to improve. We spent 64.00 on burgers, fries & milkshakes for three....overall, thats an expensive meal. However, good food & service is worth a little extra expense. But when they screw the order up & the manager has an "ole well" attitude, that's unacceptable. Today's customer service employees seem to all (mostly, not all) have the attitude that "it is what it is, just tip me big". There seems to be no pride in anything anymore. This place is your typical five guys restaurant. It's wonderfully located in a major intersection. The place is smaller than most there's outside seating and they have everything on the menu as usual. I gave this for out of five stars due to the odd parking in the back and the inability to access the front with your vehicle from the back you have to go through a Jersey Mike's drive-through. I'd give this review a bazillion stars if I could! As soon as I walked it, tired from being on the road, they gave me a warm hello, and were very happy that I chose to stop at their business. They asked me how my day was today, and it was so genuine, you can easily tell that they really care about their customers. They made my order fast, and while it was cooking, we had a most pleasant conversation. It's so refreshing to be treated so kindly. Watching them prepare the food, you can see the love and care they put into it. If you're looking for a good quality burger, made by high quality people, this is the place to be! Great place to eat. Food made to order and is obviously cooked by folks who care. Huge portions so if you order a regular or even a small Fry, 2-3 people can eat off them. Highly recommended! Lake City has a jewel of a restaurant here! read more

Second time here at this location, and the burgers are still good. First time I had the bacon cheeseburger, this time I had a little bacon cheeseburger. Added a vanilla milkshake, extra good. Classic fast busy environment. Good hot hamburgers wrapped in tinfoil. Nice big open restaurant. I was happy how large it is. The peanuts are always a good appetizer. TIP: Order a little fry, and split...you will get tons of fries anyways. read more

I was in Lake City for work one day and before driving back down my stomach was grumbling. A burger sounded like a good idea and it has been a while since I have been to a Five Guys. I totally forgot how to order here and did not remember how simple this place was. You basically start with a plain old burger, but then you get the option to add as many toppings as you want for no extra charge. I felt like I went a bit crazy with my ketchup, pickles, jalapeno, tomato, lettuce and A1 sauce combination, but there are also a few more things to choose from. When I sat down to eat, I grabbed my burger, but the bottom bun was soggy. Bleh, what a disappointment when after my 3rd bite the burger just kind of fell apart. I had to eat a half bun burger. I love their cajun fries and dipping them in bbq sauce or ketchup is an added treat. After my burger had broke I was also finding myself eating the meat patty dipped in ketchup and alternating bites of it while munching on the fries as well. The staff at this location had good southern friendliness and they seemed to enjoy working here. This place is clean as well, but for a Five Guys price I feel like I paid too much for what I was given during this visit. read more

The food was great but the people working behind the counter were very loud not only when talking to the customer but when holding conversation amongst themselves. Not interested in hearing about how they spent their Saturday or what motorcycle they had owned and how hard it was to get parts. I've been in the Lake City Five Guys once and will never go back. Very disorganized, very unprofessional and ridiculously expensive. Took forever to get our food. Our total for 4 orders of the lowest cost burger combo and 4 small shakes cost $64. 2 of the employees got in a fist fight right behind the counter where everyone could see. I've been here about 4 times since the place opened and the food is delicious but tonight I had a pretty terrible experience. Food was fine, it didn't take long but the lady who was handing the food out was extremely rude!!! It's Wednesday night 2/22 at about 7. I am sitting at the table when my number is called, I immediately walk up to get my food and as she is handing it to me she says "I've been standing here forever." No smile nothing!!! She didn't have to but 3 seconds for me to get up and get my food!! I was in shock and even looked around to make sure she was talking to me. She walked off turns around and gives me a nasty look. I'm still wondering what the hell happened!! The food is awesome but I won't put up with rude employees!!! read more

Minus the lettuce looking a little questionable, great experience here. The staff were singing along to the music playing which made for a fun environment. It wasn't too loud as to be a bother but it was just loud enough to hear and be comical. Also, when they weren't singing, they were talking sports. I feel like this is really good because you never know who's listening. And they were talking about all good things- not gossiping or using profanity or anything. Great burgers too read more

Great food, great burgers and great fries. Very poor management, if you see the way the manager speaks with his associates you would not go back to this restaurant. But I should not be surprised he was treating the customers with the same respect.
