Pretty good. I also had a bit of the Spinach Artichoke dip (good) and the Gator Bites (which have quite a bit of fried onion mixed in with the gator) (quite good.) For an entree, I had the Duke's Macaroni with Blackened Chicken (which they mixed in.) Quite delicious, but it did leave quite a lot of oil (over a tablespoon) in the plate. It was a very large portion. We had dessert plans elsewhere, so skipped their rather large dessert options. Our server was outstanding, friendly, taking care of everything. So this location has been a number of different things over the years. The menu is pretty standard for a diner style restaurant, with heavy emphasis in the morning for omelettes, then your usual burgers and other homestyle goodies in the afternoon and evening. I went for the Texas burger, asking for it to be cooked medium. What I got was more rare, bordering on blue. Not a good start. The fries that came with it were predictably SysCo style fries. No proof that they were actually provided by such, but they definitely had the style. Staff were friendly, and the seating at the bar was comfortable. Realistically, I don't see myself going back any time soon, unless a group of people invite me to go. It is a bit of a trek from Gainesville, so going specifically to eat there is not in the cards.
