We ate the ranchero pizza Wednesday night after the movie. We love it! Always delish. Friendly helpful staff too! Always!

If you're ever in Starke, FL and you have a hankering for pizza, Tony & Al's on Call St is a solid place to fill that need. We got the Mozzarella stuffed garlic knots. These were tasty. Overstuffed with cheese for an impressive cheese pull. Could've used a bit more garlic butter, but overall, a good start. For the pizza we got the "Grandma" pizza. A 16" square thicker crust pizza topped with mozzarella, basil, oregano, and a deliciously sweet marinara. The crust was perfect. Not as thick as a Sicilian, but every bit as crispy and tasty.

Food was delicious! Read some old reviews and decided to give it a try. Never knew it was there until I looked at the restaurants on the map and glad I did. We always stop at Sonnys and I will say I'll be returning here more now. Loved the pizza and the soup!

Great little Italian joint. Garlic knots and lasagna were delicious. The staff were very friendly and constantly checked in. Not much seating inside so get here early to get your spot. The to go orders were constantly coming in.

Everything about this place is perfect. A friend and I got hungry driving through starke and we decided to stop at this place for lunch and I'm so happy that we did. We started with the stuffed garlic knots and they were heaven! They definitely didn't hold back on the cheese in them. For my meal I got the spaghetti with meat sauce and and it came in a huuuge portion loaded with sauce on top. Just like the garlic knots, it was simply perfect and I couldn't stop eating. Honestly for the quantity and quality of the meal I'd have paid $20 but it was only around $10! For dessert my friend and I split a cannoli and I swear I had never had better, he said the same. The filling was just so creamy and delicious we were literally scraping the plate just to finish it all. This place truly deserves 5 stars!! If I'm ever in starke again I'm absolutely dining here.

Let me tell you this small deli/restaurant is so worth your visit. It is conveniently located on US one south State Road 312. In a small strip shopping center. Turn when you see the McDonald's it's in the shopping center behind it. My dining companion and I split the The Boss sub for $11.99. Filled with generous amounts of Mortadella, Sopressata, Prosciutto and Provolone and topped with tomato and shredded lettuce, this sandwich is a total winner! It is enough for two people and probably could be shared between three or four people with some chips on the side. We had no trouble finding a table at 3:20 PM on a Saturday however, by the time we left, there was a line out the door! We chose to sample the dessert in order to cannoli for $2.99 and a huge piece of tiramisu for $4.99. This meal may be one of the best values in all of St. Augustine. According to the menu, the restaurant/deli opened in 1989. I'm embarrassed we did not know about it sooner. The desserts were wonderful and probably one of the best cannolis I've had in years crispy shell and delicious filling. There are so many more options to try on the menu and a wonderful range of pasta, sauces, and toppings to take home. There are a wonderful Italian cookies and frozen ravioli and stuffed shells too many to make a full mention here. We definitely will return and I certainly encourage anyone reading this to try it for themselves!

They were quick to get my order and get my sandwich out "the godfather" which honestly was small and lack luster. Was it bad, no. Was it anything to write home about no. I had also asked for yellow peppers and she tells me she doesn't have them and only has red peppers as she's walking away from me and never gets me any peppers. And it was supposed have oil and vinegar and it didn't seem like it did. Now this is why they don't get a good rating. I ordered a soda she asked me for a bottle or fountain I said fountain. She brought my drink and than never followed up for a refill. So I get up go to counter and ask for one the guy tells me "they are a $1 and than I'll have no problem getting it for you." So I say I was choking on their dry sandwich. I go to hand him a $1 and he says I have to pay the cashier and made me wait for her to take my $1. As I left I checked for any refill signs - NOPE!

My go-to is the Hoss burger, because I love the onion rings and special sauce, but their steaks (ribeye and tenderloin) are also perfectly aged and fresh off the butcher block. This is a small deli with seating tucked away on a neighborhood street where you're guaranteed to be greeted with a friendly smile by someone willing to answer any questions you may have. It's an older building but they're serving up bistro quality food. The menu is written on the wall to the right of the register, but they also have a printout. If you're prone to decision overwhelm and don't want to order 14 things, you can also look at the menu on their website! If I lived in walking distance, I'd come here twice a week. They also sell beer, wine, salads, sandwiches, and chicken tenders and fried fish! Can you tell I'm obsessed with this place?!

Which feels nice when you're deciding to eat local at a place that is 100% mom and pop vibe. You can choose to eat in, or take to go. I decided to order the 16oz ribeye and sit out on the patio. The patio is not accessible from the inside ordering area. So be aware of that for drink refills and such. But they manage to still bring you your food and check on you occasionally. And for a more of a self serve place, that was more than I was expecting. The steak was cooked to perfection. Not overly seasoned, and I'd say just the right amount. Veggies weren't undercooked or over cooked. I planned on not eating half and saving a little for later. Well it was too good to do that haha. All in all a good meal and can't wait to be back.

Finally tried this awesome spot located in the 4th Ave Food Park! I had heard so much about this…read moreplace and it was even featured on Guy Fieri's "Diners, Drive-ins, & Dives". Their menu consists of some staple sandwiches, wraps, sausage dogs, and salads, along with daily specials. They also have a meat counter where you can buy a variety of very unique flavored/seasoned meats that are all made in house. The shop isn't super big and there is limited indoor seating. Although the food park offers plenty of coveted outdoor seating options. Service was great and pretty quick. The guy who took my order was helpful in answering my questions too. Everything is made fresh to order with higher quality ingredients. This is very evident in the taste of the sandwiches, they are truly next level! I ended up ordering a Muffuletta sandwich and a walking taco. Both of these were on the daily special menu. The muffuletta was loaded with ham, salami, mortadella, Swiss cheese, provolone, olives, Dijon aioli, lettuce, tomato, and onion on ciabatta. This sandwich was huge! The meat was super flavorful and you could really taste each one of them in each bite. I loved the ciabatta, especially because it wasn't too thick and didn't take away from the sandwich. The cheeses were mild melted perfectly on the sandwich. The fresh tomato's, lettuce, and onion complimented the other components nicely as well. I will say I wish the olives and aioli had been more prominent, as this is what truly makes a muffuletta of muffuletta. So I wouldn't really classify this as a traditional muffuletta sandwich and it reminded me more of an Italian sandwich. The walking taco included Fritos, chilli, cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion, banana peppers, and house-made ranch. I thought these were decent. This wasn't the most impressive thing, but it was still tasty. I wish there had been more meat in the chilli and the cheese was melted on top of the Fritos. The onions were simply chopped red onions and seemed too strong for the dish. While this was good, it isn't something I'd go out of the way to order. I would probably stick to the sandwiches and such as that is what truly shines here! Overall, I was more than impressed with this place. I love that it is located in the food park too! Ordering is easy and the service is welcoming. They offer a nice variety of deli options and there is something for everyone. You can taste the difference in the food here compared to other places. They use high quality ingredients and put a lot of passion into their work. I also love that they have fun switching up parts of the menu daily with unique options. While my muffuletta reminded me more of an Italian sando, it was still one of the best sandwiches I've had in the area by far. The sandwich was absolutely packed with meat and made the price completely justifiable. The bread was really fresh and not too thick, which I really appreciated. The walking taco was decent, but nothing to ride home about. If you are in the area and want a good sandwich, I HIGHLY recommend stopping by.
