Huddle house is a great place to go and have breakfast plenty of seating great assatmosphere service is great plenty of parking

Ordered chopped steak no gravy or mushrooms. Came out with it on it. Sent back. Got a thin patty over cooked. Small handful of fries. Waitress playing on phone. Had to ask for a refill. Give one star wish could give negative stars read more

I have been eating at the huddle house for three or four years now and they have good service friendly staff enjoy the atmosphere

This place is a dump. No coffee. No soda. The booths are all ripped up and the floor is nasty. The wait staff is friendly but as ghetto as they come. They are out of everything and the excuse is the truck don't come to Monday. read more

This restaurant is attached to the Flying J Truck Plaza so just look for Flying J signs along I-57. If you need a snack, hearty meal, or just a break, and enjoy comfort food you won't be disappointed. The menu selection covers the gambit from breakfast, lunch & dinner plus everything served all day. Something for most! It's a nice size restaurant holding approximately 75 diners with booths and 4-top tables. It was fairly busy but we were greeted and seated immediately to a booth. Our dinners arrived timely with generous portions and served hot. We could have jumped right back on the road but we decided to linger longer than dinner took. I ordered the Grilled Prime Rib Tips Dinner ($9.69) topped with sauteed mushrooms and onions served w/two sides (my choice was mashed potatoes w/white gravy and corn) plus grilled Texas Toast. Surprisely the Prime Rib Tips were tender, cooked perfectly for me (MR) and the grilled mushrooms and onions added a nice touch of flavor. The lumpy mashed potatoes required a touch more salt & pepper for my taste but were good. My son choose the Country Fried Steak ($8.29) topped with two scrambled eggs and American Cheese then stuffed between layers of hashbrowns and smothered with Country Sausage Gravy. Served with your choice of toast. The hashbrowns were crisper than he preferred but other than that he enjoyed and devoured quickly. Our server did a great job refilling my coffee and his sodas. Used plates were removed quickly and we never felt rushed. It was nice taking a few extra minutes to relax after being on the road for hours. Clean restrooms, quick and tasty comfort food plus good service. Easy on and off I-57. read more

We had a great meal here. I had the turkey sausage egg and cheese with gravy smothered on hash browns. Hubbie had BLT with Applewood Bacon. Lisa was our waitress and she was OUTSTANDING! She refilled our tea and coffee several times, introduced herself, and the portions were big and hot. Perfect for travelers on the go. read more

I get it! Everyone is overwhelmed and overworked. I just don't see how it continues to be an excuse for bad service. I placed an order online about 10 minutes before we were to arrive at the Huddle House attached to the Flying J station. We had been driving for a bit and needed both petro and tummy fuel. I ordered the $5 combo which was pretty darn good. It included 2 eggs, bacon and cheese on a biscuit, tater tots and a drink. Hubby ordered a bigger platter that included eggs, bacon, sausage, grits & Texas toast. The food was hot, prepared as requested and the experience was as expected for this price point. I took a star away because the drink was not delivered with the meal and my hubby was not willing to make a 3rd trip inside. The other star is solely because of attitude and disorganization. We arrived at our appointed time. Hubby stood behind a single person in line for more than 4 minutes. When it was his turn he was told they hadn't even started the order and to come back in about 10 minutes. So instead of the 16 minutes we initially waited, now it is least 26 minutes. The woman handling all of this makes us feel as if we are an inconvenience, snapping that they are blown away. There are lots of ways this could have been handled better (and kinder) but it is what it is. So ultimately the food was good (hats off to the cooks) but the service was sad and the order wasn't complete. I would return if time was not of the essence but if I could find an alternative I would. read more

1. The cooks didn't wear gloves, nor do they fucking wash there hands. You are suppose to was your hands and change glove per order. 2. There are flies swarming all over the fucking food. 3. My friend had bacon fall on her leg, and she got a fucking. read more

Dark most are well lit not this one , dirty looking and had to step over what look like sewage at the door. Another item I found poor very poor management. If you have items on the menu you have it in stock and not having the waitress asking if they have or carry it. In 10 years of trucking this was a very disppointing huddle house read more

When the waitress handed me my Southern Benedict, I was immediately disgusted upon the feeling of something sticky on the bottom of my plate. Then, I noticed how my eggs were overcooked. The hash browns were over-cooked, swimming in a pool of grease. Aside from the off putting bitter taste from them being overcooked, they were otherwise flavorless- void of any seasoning. My partner's fries weren't salted either. What kind of cook doesn't know better to season fries and hash browns?? I returned my plate to the waitress after two bites. She wasn't even interested in hearing what I had to say. That says a lot about their attitude towards quality control. read more

This place is an embarrassment to the entire franchise. Everytime I have stopped, there has been one excuse after the other. 1/2 the grill isn't working. The electricity is out in the kitchen. There was something wrong with the water. When they do wait on you it takes an hour to get your COLD food. read more

Attached to the flying J truckstop. Be sure to check your order mine came in a pile of grease and the omelette was incorrect. We ended up in Charleston as a pit stop to Poplar Bluffs. Luckily we found the Huddle House at a truck stop and ended up having the best experience ever! Our server, Alexis, was so upbeat and quick to serve us that it made the experience great. The food was good, the coffee was watered down (skip it), but otherwise it was a clean and filling breakfast choice. http://www.huddlehouse.com/restaurant-locator.aspx?area=zip&zip=63834&distance=10 read more

Took wife and sister to location for Mother's Day. Was greeted horribly ,"45 minute wait, cause we only have 1 server". We waited and got seated and watched every other person after us receive there food. The manager is who took our order. We asked her and she checked and said they lost it, this was 2 and half ours later . We were the only black table in there, and she could give a dang about what went on. read more

We just went in to eat and stop for gas. Signs every where that said they had Ice Coffee. Both waitress told me they didn't have it. Service was horrible. The place was a mess. Maybe 10 customers the total time we was there. One waitress was so large she could barley walk across the floor. The Other wine looking like she had a night job and was very rude. Food was fair. Out of small steaks also. Will make it a point to pass this place buy next time we stop thru. The Flying J wasn't any better. read more

It took them an hour to sever us food! We're are from a trip from Texas and when we got there there was trash on the floor, all the tables were dirty. And no one came to ask for drinks read more

Do not stop here! We have been waiting about 10 minutes for our check and it still isn't here. There are only three tables filled and there are four people working. I have another 10 hours of driving ahead of me and would like to get out of here. The server handed my daughter the wrong plate and then when she realized her mistake, she didn't fix it. My sandwich didn't have mayo on it. Everyone else was done with their food before I could call the server over to get me mayo, which looks like lard. The food is subpar. The food is also extremely high in calories. I don't know how they cram 1300 calories into a BLT. Btw, still waiting on that check. Guess I will get up and go ask for it read more

We sat in a booth and were barely acknowledged. After 5 minutes, the server came to take our drink orders; we ordered iced tea and indicated we were also ready to put our food order in. She appeared to be fishing in her pocket for a pen, then, without saying one word to us, disappeared into the back. We waited, thinking she would bring out our drinks and take the order, but nothing...it was as though we were invisible. We then saw her at the cash register, picking up some receipts and again disappearing without a word to us. We got the message loud and clear, so we left, never to return to any Huddle House again. Shame on the management team for hiring such apathetic workers! James and Carolyn DeHart Tampa, FL read more

Hey, y'all were great at our local Huddle House. Besides of totally messing up our order and bill, it was good. Some people came in and were asked about masks. It became racial, and the one black guy was embarrassed. The staff kept their masks on, except the cook. It was under his nose. Kinda freaked me out. Totally got our order wrong, too. We didn't say anything, because of these other people. Over $30. For a morning meal for 2? I ordered tea. No tea. So water. Servers were good! read more

It sucked! Workers had dirty hands, the food was freezing, and the food took forever to come and it tasted horrible.

Asked for waffles and got pancakes and took 45 minutes to get the food ,very poor costumer service.

Really liked their country fried steak meal. They let me substitute fried okra for the hash browns. But, I got the eggs scrambled and were really small portion. I assume these were the small eggs instead of jumbo eggs being used. Also a little more done than I expected. Adding cream or milk would go a long way to making them better read more

We almost didn't stop because of the reviews but glad we did. Food and service was great and the restaurant was clean. We will be back !

This is by far the worst restaurant I have ate at in a long time and I don't recommend going here. My family rides with me on the truck and we drive over the road. I had Chili, Chicken, Grits, loaded baked potato, Wife had Omelette, and Grits, daughter had chicken finger basket, within about 20 minutes we were all sick, asked to talk to the manager and there was not one there, the so called cook started saying that any Dr. Will tell you that you can't get sick that fast, was then told by our waitress and the other waitress the manager will be in the following day, not the case, the cook who was there was the "lead" and then started to quote Google and tell me it says you can't get sick that fast and that nothing will be done and he is the best I will be able to talk to. read more

This place sucks so bad,, food is waffle , I mean awful and service is just as bad.wish I could give only half a star

This place is a dump, actually I think a dump might be cleaner. The floor was dirty, the table was sticky and still had remnants of food on it and the bench seat was so wore out you sunk down 8". The staff was unprofessional. The grilled chicken salad was ok, but not great. They need to gut this place and Flying J needs to contract another restaurant franchise. read more

This is the second time we eat here. The first time I asked for a coke and I was told they only had fruit punch or lemonade because they were out of coke. I asked for the lemonade and it was just disgusting and the service was slow. We came here again today because the Mexican restaurant across the highway was closed. We should have just waited til they opened. It took them an hour to bring our food out because their grill broke but for some reason three other tables had their food brought out when they arrived at least 15 minutes after us. We will not be back here for sure. Poor service. read more

Okay, being a vegetarian at this place is next to impossible. Luckily, we caught a good waitress on a night where they weren't that busy, and she and the cook came up with a baked potato and a salad for me. My husband loved his burger and fries. All in all, it's not a great place to eat if you don't eat things with faces. I happened to be at a different Huddle House a few weeks later and decided to repeat my order.. it cost almost twice what I paid at the other one, and the salad didn't have anything on it but iceberg lettuce and diced tomatoes. Sad. Sad. Sad. I don't imagine that I will return to Huddle House, even if it's the only option at the truck stop I happen to be at. I would rather fast than to pay good money for sloppy food. read more
