Wednesdays special is Kettle Beef entrée. Our 5 takeout orders today for that was a disappointment. When people generally think of Kettle Beef, they oftentimes visualize chunks of Beef. It was within one hour of them closing and I ordered 5 Kettle Beef to go. The waitress immediately said they didn't have enough to make 5 orders. Someone from the kitchen hollered out, they did have enough. Great I was thinking! Once back home, we all soon realized that the waitress was correct in that the cafe didn't have enough Kettle Beef for 5 takeout. Our Kettle Beef was more akin to Beef soup, than traditional Kettle Beef. Bergoff Cafe apparently scraped the bottom of the pot, to complete this order! read more

Food, service and atmosphere outstanding. Its a small mom n pop café and ppl are great

I will not step foot back in this restaurant! The service I received was extremely poor. The food is so-so, but not worth such poor service I experienced! Don't waste your time or money on this place. Very poorly ran! read more

Delicious!!!! Good home cooked meals. Plenty of food and good service. If you are not a big eater you could share the breakfast plates.

I had most horrible experience with the waitress. She She was cruel to me. I heard them making fun of me by the coffee thing. It broke my heart. This was my favorite favorite place to eat. After fifteen years of being a good Customer, I will mostly never go back read more

We enjoy the food, service, and atmosphere. It's not unusual to see familiar faces when we stop in

When you pull into the parking lot filled with pick up trucks it's instantly apparent this is a local favorite. It was a walk in, seat yourself kind of place. You were greeted instantly and with a smile. Was difficult to find a clean table but once seated your waitress appeared quickly with the coffee pot in hand. I had a sandwich and fried okra, my husband, s breakfast of sausage and eggs and biscuits with gravy. After a little linger wait than I would say was normal, the waitress arrived with the food hot and cooked as special requests and thanked us for our patience. Would definitely return and certainly recommend!! read more

Unfortunately can't offer more than 1 star. Stopped in on the way home from Memphis about 12:50 pm on a Sunday. Lots of dirty tables. Sat for 10 minutes and no one ever came by to acknowledge our presence, seemed like they were in end of day mode. Finally decided to head up the road. read more

I have always wanted a real hearty country style breakfast. I was so glad that my good friends Jay and Sharon took me to this wonderful restaurant. The portion was too big for my stomach. The price wad very reasonable for big dishes offered at this coffee shop. I would love to have my breakfast here everyday if I am not on my weight control schedule now. I really enjoyed my Mexican Omelette plate. I savored every piece of food on my plate until I could not move, It was a very satisfied breakfast. If you have ever looked for a hearty meal, then this is the place. The service is warm and friendly. I really enjoyed sitting in the place to have my first meal of the day. May be you would like to start your great day by having your breakfast at Berghoff's. read more

Great little breakfast place and good price. French toast is great! Can look busy but normally you can still find a seat.

They have the rudest servers ive seen. food is sub par and they don't use dishwashing liquid in their dishwasher.

Not many choices in Scott City Mo. This little joint sets just south of the tracks. It's not an old dive, actually a newer place inside a metal building. Stained concrete floors and plastic tables look like they are directly from Sam's Club. Walls adorned with exterior siding and country style decorations finish the appearance. If you are looking for basic small town grub and conversation, this is the place. Simple sausage and cheese omelette, simply good! My wife had the Mexican omelette, they both were big enough for two. $15.00 and change. Less than $20 bucks with tip. This is a thriving biz in this little town. Busy all the time they are open. I like to see local people working hard and doing well. If you are near Scott City MO stop by! On the way out I met an old friend who eats there often, she says the hamburgers are wonderful at the place. Great for take out. read more

Leaving a report on behalf of family who drove from out of town to specifically to go there. They went in to visit and the waitress took my parent's drink order and never came back . They said it was 25 mins. The waitress went to order tables, include a group of guys that came in at the same time. They had their food and drink order out and my parents still never even got their drinks. They decided to leave when they saw the waitress chatting with people and even looked over at them but never came back. I decided to call the restaurant, they said they have no manager staffed but told me that I could write them on Facebook messenger. Their response was that parents could have moved to the other side of the restaurant where it wasn't as "busy" for the other waitress, who only had one patron. I guess 3 tables is too much to handle. The response was that they reviewed the tapes and my family was "wrong.". Yea, because people who drive 20 minutes to come to your business would get up and leave for NO REASON. They don't care about anyone except their "regulars". Dirty hole-in-the-wall under-staffed restaurant. People only go there because there's no competition and the price isn't bad...if you ever get service. read more

Made a Yelp account just for this review, to deter people from coming here for breakfast. It was incredibly hot, asked the waitress if the AC works and she said "it's just for show". There were flies everywhere and we had to wait about 10 minutes to be given a menu. When I finally ordered i specified no tomato twice and received an omelette full of tomato's. The waitress looked at me in the midst of scraping out the tomato's and didn't say a word. Fruit is $1.30 up-charge when it is the crappy syrup fruit cup that you dread to get in school lunches. The only good thing about this place were the hash browns. Overpriced and understaffed. read more

Delicious breakfast. I had the corned beef, eggs, and a pancake. That pancake was delicious and huge. I had it last and was not able to finish it. read more

Used to love this place. My most recent visit, our waitress rushed us the entire time. She kept cutting us off while we were trying to order, none of our food came out at the same time. When she brought it out she said "if you don't like it, tell me. We have a new cook it's not supposed to look like that." So why bring it to the table? The biscuits are gravy was disgusting, tasted like something you'd have in prison. We just ate it and left. No sense in complaining about it when we already had to wait so long to get the food. She never came and asked if we needed refills, once she dropped the food off she wasn't to be seen again. read more

I'm really upset.... I can't believe I haven't been here before!!! Oh my gosh! The. Food. Was. Amazing! The food! The breakfast was all we had but it was so good. Moderately cheap and insane amount of food. Pancakes larger than your plate and so thick! Make sure you go in hungry! You won't be disappointed! read more

My dad recently suffered a traumatic brain injury and can barely remember his name, but this morning he remembered he wanted Berghoff's for breakfast! Yes it's that good and that memorable. Cash or local check only. Smoking and Non-smoking completely separated. Best breakfast value around and MY favorite is their massive pancakes - yummy!!! read more
