YO. Huckle. BERRY'S, my dude. Legitimately blew me away. The staff is unbelievably friendly. Their website boasts great food and an escape to the bayou, and by golly, they delivered. Visited Huckleberry's for the first time today. We got lucky and made it in just ahead of the rush, which meant we were seated quickly. The staff were friendly overall, and our server, April, was excellent. She was personable and did her job well. I ordered the crab cake Benedict, and it was quite good. The potatoes were OK, and the coffee was on the bland side, but that's par for the course at local breakfast joints. Again: main dish was very tasty. Mrs. H. also enjoyed her meal. We *will* go back. Had the breakfast burrito here and it was amazing. Beats paying $6 for the burrito (that I still love) at my school's main dining. The blueberry muffin was also good. Taste as if it's fresh baked out of the oven. Wish the server took a tiny bit more time before asking for drinks after being seated. Instead of getting a plain coffee (which is also still great) out of my own pressure, I wished I could look at the menu and see what amazing beverages they have to offer. Oakdale franchise is not on yelp yet so I am posting here. I sent a msg to corporate and no one responded to my msg. Because o one seams to care, my very large family and I will NOT. Be patrons of any of your establishments in the future I am not very happy about one of your managers you have put in place at one of your new establishments.   I went to lunch with a family member a couple weekends ago,  we were sitting and chatting while waiting for our meal.   One of the waitress's was walking by and somehow a GLASS was nocked off your tray, came flying one inch from my head, landed on our table and crashed.   Glass all over us, our table, on my NEW phone and scared the crap out of us.    The wait staff were right on top of making sure we were ok, and cleaned up the mess around us, and moved us to a near by table.  There were no injuries.    Now to why I am unhappy,   I HAD TO REQUEST FOR THE MANAGER TO COME TO OUR TABLE.   She would have not even came to see if we were ok if I had not asked for her.   She only asked us if we were injured, and or had any questions.   WHAT WAS I SUPPOSE TO ASK HER......   during the meal, several of the staff kept checking in to see if we were ok.   I never saw the manager again, and received a bill for our adventure in your establishment.   I then asked for the manager again when we were leaving, to let her know how helpful the staff was and she had an attitude and very rude, like we were bothering her.   She wanted to know what I wanted and what did I expect from her, before I even opened my mouth about how well her staff treated us.   She should be happy I am not going to try and cause a lot of trouble for her, because once I got home, I found a sliver of glass had caused a chip in my new phone, I could have been cut if I was not paying attention, and I am very sad about almost being cut, and a chip in my phone.   My family and I eat out a couple times a week,  we go to your restaurants in Modesto and Turlock on a regular basis, and was hoping for another great dining experience, but we WILL NOT be going back to the one in Oakdale Ca again.   Not because of the staff, or the awesome food, but because of the treatment of your manager you have working there.   Here is the information from my receipt.   My Server was Kassandra,  Table 54/2 on 9/14/19 at 2:27 PM.    Again, the serving staff were very helpful,  it was the manager I am very UNHAPPY about. read more

I was not impressed with lunch service. The meals were very simple and mediocre. Maybe I ordered the worst items on the menu because when I got there, a line was forming and I had to wait to be seated. To add, the waitress was not attentive. I had to wave her down to order then never saw her again. Therein lies my confusion: lots of people for mediocre meals and service? Maybe. Great spot for breakfast with the family. Fast service, great flavor and kid-friendly. We came on a Sunday and the line was super long but they said it was only a 15 min wait so we decided to walk over to Michaels for a few minutes. When we got back they had already called us, but they moved us back up the top and we only had to wait another few minutes to be seated. Will definitely be back! read more

This place is really good and has really big portions. I was a bit skeptical because my experience at the Yosemite location was less than good. At this location the service was nonstop greatness. What you expect from a a GOOD restaurant. This dude Sergio helped us to our table and would come back to check on us often as well as two different Waitresses. He was giving rockstar service and we later found out he is the manager. I guess thats why he has the job. Now the food was delicious like really really good. I had some sort of omelet that chili on it. I was barely able to finish it. So I am betraying Bobs cafe and making this my regular spot. read more

My twin just graduated and I never came to try this place until when we were picking up her stuff, she would always talk about this place but we finally sat down and enjoyed our food. This might just be the best breakfast burrito I've had in a very very longtime. The staff is super friendly and the place was packed at 10:45 am on a weekday which normally is a lull with restaurants. Judging by all the other people here, I think this spot is a winner!!!! Never been to one of these places so when I saw that one was opening up in Turlock I had to try it. Always looking for a new place to have breakfast seeing as how I get tired of eating oatmeal at home. lol I walked in and was pleasantly greeted and seated immediately and was brought a glass of water and for the next 20 minutes nothing. Finally this young man stopped and asked if I had been waited on. I promtly said no I hadn't. He then apologized and said my wait person would be with me shortly. 10 minutes later he came back and said he would be my waiter. I then ordered 2 eggs over medium with hashbrowns, country fried steak, wheat toast and coffee. 20 minutes later my food arrived. Do any of you out there know what pullett eggs are? Well that's what I got. Two of the smallest eggs you could ever see and they were runny. YUCK!! The country fried steak was so crisp, well done, hard I couldn't eat it. I asked for orange juice and they gave me freshly squeezed orange juice which I don't like I told her I didn't want that kind of juice and she said that's all they had, left it on the table and charged me 2.99 for nasty orange juice that i didnt want or drank! Had breakfast there this morning for the first time. Coffee was good, service was good, food was good, and get this - 2 eggs, hash browns (and a nice serving, mind you), and toast (my buddy had a biscuit and gravy instead of toast) for... wait for it... $1.99!!! Yes, less than 2 bucks. Of course coffee is $1.99 too, but wow. What a deal. Problem though - they leave the open, used mayonaise and ranch dressing in standard containers, unsealed in a bucket on the table all day long. Think that's safe? read more

Our go to place if we feel like some good ol' fashioned artery clogging Americana. Its "good plain food" as Samwise Gamgee would say ... nothing special, but does fill up the corners. Plus they don't try to be anymore than what they are, so I like that. Its clean, quick, reasonably priced and CSU affiliated persons get 15% off. Plus they don't sniff at my weird menu substitutions ... I always get the same thing ... chicken fried steak (or heart attack on a plate)... with cottage cheese instead of home fries, sunny side up eggs (for a bit of sauce with your steak), and the huckleberry muffin to go. This place is fucking over rated trash. Every time I come in the food is average and once you get seated there is not much wait but the hostess always lies about the wait time. The past 3 time i have walked into this establishment I have been told that the wait time is between 10-15 minutes and both times i have waited 25+. They need to stop lying to their customers and be honest. I would not mind the wait but when they lie to me it just infuriates me. why can't they just be honest. read more

I only give the food 1 star but my husband gives it 4 so I settled for the middle for a 2 1/2 which they dont have so thats why its at 3. We had the breakfast and I ordered my hashbrowns well done and my bacon crispy. My hashbrowns came well done on one side but the other side was barely cooked and the middle was like mush. My bacon was limp and very fatty. Gave it all to my husband who is not as picky as me. I paid the 50cents extra to have the diced ham in my scambled eggs. No where did it mention they were topped with melted cheese. I love cheese but absolutly hate it on my eggs. Gave those to my husband as well. He enjoyed his food and mine while I ate my toast (which was good). Loved the decor though....so cute!! We will probably go back but next time I am not getting breakfast!! read more
