The food was good. The service was good and place was really nice. The seats could've been a little better too many seats already soiled.

Food was actually ok. No real complaints about the quality although I had concerns about the eleven thousand ingredients in my husband's Dixieland steak scramble. I had the fish n chips which is catfish and fries with slaw. I asked for one over easy egg but my server just added the egg lol Any, I wanted to go there to eat the fried green tomatoes and they didn't disappoint. I think this would be an another star if we didn't have to wait for everything for so long- even the simplest request like flatware too much longer than would be necessary. The restaurant is older looking than it is and a little drab. I'll stick to the Napa location.

The food is always good so is the prices are also good and your guaranteed to get a good portion

    Horrible Cajun Eggs Benedict

This is some of the worst breakfast food me and my family have had in a long time. The eggs Benedict were fully cooked. The chicken was cold, gummy, flavorless and small. The French toast was also cold. To top it all off, we had to ask for silverware 4 times, and eventually got plastic silverware, with other tables getting actual silverware. If possible, AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS. I don't review places often, but this experience was that bad. Also the parking lot is always packed and there usually is a wait. Check out the Stockton locations as they are much better with food and flavor.

The omelette was great! I really liked the filling as well as the hollandaise sauce on top of it. Drinks were amazing and refreshing as well. Could've been a 5 star however, the crepe was too sweet and I usually don't mind sweet so I think that speaks for itself. Also, a portion of my hash browns were more cooked on one side and had a slightly burnt taste but ketchup helped :) I really liked the toast and their butter is sooo good. I usually ask for extra butter on the side too!

Chicken Tenders was very tough and rubbery, fries tasted like plastic , it's actually diabolical how this food was 60$

Ew ew ew this food was actually nasty and it didn't taste how it was supposed to, the food was expensive for one, for two they didn't give us any forks.

After completing a notary signing, my husband and I usually stop in for a bite to eat. My favorite dish is the Crab Cake Benedict. My husband ordered the New Orleans Skillet. Both were delicious and well prepared. I'd like to direct the manager's attention to our server, Perin. From the minute we were seated, Perin was friendly and energetic. I wish more servers were personable like Perin. He was extremely attentive to our needs and checked on us frequently. Unlike Perin, however, the hostess could not be found when we were trying to pay our bill. This isn't the first time we experienced one of her disappearing acts. In the end, Perin had to do her job too! Manager please take note that this young man is juggling many work duties in addition to his own!

Stuffed French Toast was the perfect ending to a hardy breakfast.

Once you're seated at Huckleberry's the delicious food, time warp theme, and quick service is beyond expectation. It took a lot more time than usual to be greeted and seated (they seemed a little understaffed i.e the server was also host). Also, to be fair, my partner and I walked in on a disgruntled interaction that the server was recovering from so ofc we understood why we were missed at first. Once we sat in a large, comfy booth we looked over the exciting list of NOLA-inspired dishes, filled with your delightful favorites like omelettes and breakfast platters with a Louisiana twist. We were served and treated with the utmost custimer service. We came with an appetite and were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. My belly was so wide eyed that I forgot to take a pic of my Riverboat omelette! I did remember to get one of my half of stuffed french toast with strawberry topping (we shared). Overall, I plan to return to try out their lunch menu. Whats not to love!

Just along the main strip of town, this place is busy. We stopped by early morning just a little after they were opened. Even mid week and there was a massive line already forming. They must be good. There's two entrance, first being the main where the front door is. Patio seating available along the sidewalk. And then the back entrance where the majority of the seating is outside. It's like a secret garden with all the trees and plants. Somewhat a treehouse feel as well. They have 2 levels with tables. Beautiful spot sitting there under the tree having a nice cup of joes and a beautiful pastries. Indoor also has some seating along the front and I believe there's a second floor right above the entrance. There's mainly one line for everything. You wait to place your order if you wanted pastries and food. I think you could just order drinks at counter if you're not getting food but don't quote me on that. Everyone was waiting together. Once you reach the top, there's the counter of fresh baked pastries that's made daily. Things do sell out pretty fast. We literally arrived not long after they open and the ham and cheese croissant was already sold out. Besides pastries, there's fresh baked bread. Coffee drinks were pretty good too. After you pick what you want, the cashier is at the end and that's where you pay. There's a counter at the back where drinks are picked up. The whole place has an open kitchen feel where you could actually see all the workers preparing the sweets. In the back kitchen, you could walk by and see the pastries chef preparing and putting together the fresh sweets. It's like you're part of the kitchen. It's a cute place and it does get busy. The locals know about this place so it a hot spot. The holiday makers know which their names is getting out there and making a big splash for them. We've been a few times while in town and each time, alway busy and great. Amazing pastries and good drink. It is on the pricer side but that's pretty much everywhere you go these days.

Great food is one thing, but it's the combination of incredible flavors and genuine hospitality that keeps us coming back. We've recommended The Workshop to just about everyone we know. I couldn't skip checking out Sailor Jack's, which used to be the Nantucket Fish Company, when I worked there in the mid 80's. The lunch menu offers some very different items than were offered four decades ago, but some items from those days are still featured today. (Items like clam chowder and fried prawns, for example.) Our server, Elizabeth, was great. She answered our questions and ensured we were happy with our food, at least as far as she could ensure... the food, however, was rather mediocre. We ordered a variety of food ranging from crab artichoke dip, to a chicken club, to fish and chips, to clam chowder, to a burger, and finally crab cakes. The starter, sandwich, fish and chips, and burger were all okay. The crab cakes however were not liked by those in our group that tasted them. (A lot of filler and not much crab from what one of our party members said). In any case, I mentioned this and the crab cakes, that went mostly uneaten, were removed from our bill. Bravo for good customer service! My understanding is that the outdoor dining that we very much enjoyed, was added during Covid. Back in the 80's the outdoor eating area was all parking lot. I took a look inside to see what else has changed. The main interior dining room looks almost identical to what it looked like 40+ years ago. The previous secondary indoor dining area has now been converted to a food preparation and employee only area. The bar itself looks the same as it did in 1984, but the area around the bar looks much more like dining space than it used to. This may be a good thing as attitudes on indulgences have certainly changed over the decades. I suspect at some point I'll return, hopefully it won't be decades...

As someone who orders sea bass whenever I can, I've had it in Pismo Beach, Monterey, and San Francisco, and Baxter's has set a new standard. It was incredibly fresh, melt-in-your-mouth tender, with a perfectly crisp sear that locked in all of its delicate flavor. Every bite was moist, flaky, and cooked to perfection. It was honestly the best sea bass I've ever had. The service was warm, attentive, and made us feel truly welcome. Tucked right on First Street across from the bay in downtown Benicia, this place has completely earned its reputation as the town's culinary crown jewel. From the moment you walk in, the warmth is unmistakable -- and it's not an accident. Owners Kenneth Coker and Kevin Shaw built this restaurant to feel like their own living room, and it shows in every detail, right down to the name (a sweet nod to their beloved Fox Terrier). That personal touch translates into genuinely attentive service that never feels stiff or rehearsed. Now, the food. The Beef Wellington is the stuff of legend -- perfectly rendered pastry, a filling that melts before you even chew, and clearly a labor of love from the kitchen. The scallops are seared to that impossible perfection where the outside caramelizes but the inside stays buttery-soft. And if salmon gnocchi in vodka sauce is on the menu when you go, order it without hesitation -- it's rich, comforting, and impossible to stop eating. Even the truffle burger, which almost feels like an afterthought on a menu this elevated, has become a neighborhood obsession for good reason. Cocktails are crafted with the same care as the food -- inventive, well-balanced, and clearly the product of a team that takes its bar program seriously. And if you can snag a reservation in The Speakeasy, the intimate back room, do it. It's easily one of the most romantic, memorable settings for a special occasion in the entire Bay Area. Baxters isn't just a great restaurant -- it's a genuine gathering place, the kind of spot a whole town falls in love with. Whether it's date night, a family celebration, or just a nightcap at the bar, Baxters delivers an experience that's warm, delicious, and utterly memorable every single time. Highly, highly recommended.

We ordered around 11:30a, there were two other parties present. We were able to order based on our dietary needs/wants as the menu offered quite a diverse array. The crab omelette (known as The California Omelette on the menu) is 1/4 lb of fresh crab served either hot or cold enclosed in three eggs along with avocado and Monterey Jack cheese. For $26.35 the omelette left much to be desired, especially in flavor and seasoning. Nothing complimented or even enhanced the presence of the crab in any way. The remaining party at the table said they enjoy their meal - including a blueberry waffle, toast and eggs with bacon and a double cheeseburger with fries.
