4 or 5,well it's a big dilemma... Service is awesome. The place got a really nice atmosphere. Go there during the afternoon to chill and you won't be disappointed. Lot of humor, sarcasm. I love this place and I will go back there. The food was ok, I think I'm being picky! So 4 very solid stars, might upgrade to 5 next time I'll go!

If you look closely, you can see David, the manager, posing behind the bar.

Home sweet Hubbub! This place is my absolute favourite in all of London. I live within walking distance (by that I mean a couple of km's) and go there regularly. The managers already knew me and my housemate/best friend by the time we'd been 2 times as we're now all on first name basis. The atmosphere is perfect, we use it basically as if it were our own lounge room and no one minds at all. There's no pretence, there's no pressure or push to leave, there's no pressure to even buy anything, just go, enjoy, use their wifi, lounge around, play some board games, munch on the wedges, get the focaccia with pesto and enjoy. I'm slowly but surely making my way through their entire menu, including all the desserts and the banana crumble is amazing. Plus, the wall is signed by Sir Ian McKellen (he's apparently a chairman of the theatre downstairs). I can't praise Hubbub enough and it'll be one of the places I miss the most once I go home to Australia.

Great atmosphere, menu and prices. Best mushrooms ever. No five stars as they do not know how to make proper over-easy eggs.

A great little cosy cafe in a historic building amidst the social and architectural desolation of the Docklands.

Since we were hungry and only had about an hour before our film started, we sat down anyway. Ordering food was easy enough and it didn't take too long to arrive. I had ordered a main that was advertised to come with rice or chips. I decided on rice as I don't particularly like chips. But when my food arrived the server pointed out that it came with couscous and he'll bring me chips instead of the rice I ordered. I pointed out that I wanted the rice, which is why I ordered it but he kept insisting he'll bring me chips. It was absolutely ridiculous. If I wanted chips, I'd have bloody well ordered them! The food was decent, I've had better but the price was reasonable enough. Probably wouldn't return though as service is really bad.

It's right by the waterfront by West India Quay station and has a great outdoors area, perfect for sitting outside but under a covering on a nice summer's evening. I've heard that it's crazy busy on Thursday and Friday nights, but on a Saturday, we didn't even have to book for a party of 4, and were seated right away around 7:30 pm. The shisha is about 15 pounds for 2 people, and you have to have 1 for every 2 people. They also have these ice extensions that I'd never seen before, for an extra 2 pounds. They didn't add much to the experience, but were cool for the novelty. As for the food, they have a great selection of Lebanese/Indian food. First we got the vegetarian mixed meze, which says that it serves 2, but is more than enough for 3 or 4 people. It's ok, but nothing stellar. But my friend could not stop raving about Farruj Meshwi, which is a grilled baby chicken that comes with the most amazing garlic sauce. I was definitely impressed. As our other main to share between 3 people, we got the mixed biryani, but I was disappointed, as it was more like rice with some sauce stirred into it instead of the oily fried rice type of biryani that I grew to love when I was in India. So you're probably better off sticking to the Lebanese stuff. Overall, food was decent, but that's not what you're coming for. It's a killer venue with a great BYO policy and it just so happens to be cheap too. It was honestly hard to spend 20 pounds per head... maybe if you order 1 main per person, but there was just so much food as well! I wish London had more BYOs like this... in any case, definitely worth the trek out to Canary Wharf, and a neighborhood gem for those who work or live there!

We were given menus and offered a choice water - including free tap water with ice and mint leaves, were presented a complimentary salmon amuse bouche and ordered cocktails. So far, so good. Once our delicious cocktails arrived, we ordered our starters and mains, and a bottle of wine. Unfortunately the white wine arrived warm, but it did come with an ice bucket, so it cooled down whilst we ate our starters. To our surprise, the mains (a standard burger and chips) arrived stone cold, but we let the waiter know, and he seemed genuinely apologetic and brought us fresh ones, which were hot. The food wasn't bad, but neither was it anything outstanding. The whole Parlour bar and restaurant menu has a quirky "circus" theme, with the cocktails named things like "tears of a clown" and "fairground millionaire", and the chips served in mugs or flower pots! Our burgers were served on a plastic cafeteria style lunch tray. Whilst the service was good, the prices were a little on the high side given the quality. I suppose it's the central Canary Wharf location that draws in customers looking for team lunches paid for on company credit cards.
