    Meatball appetizer
    Brian W.

Really 3.5, but it was not good enough in my opinion to warrant going to 4. First, the place is like a long and expansive hall, with nothing really breaking up the space. It felt like being in a big dining hall at school. I would have appreciated a little more intimate atmosphere for an Italian restaurant. I seemed to have no waiter/waitress initially, as the hostess (I believe) seated me then came back to start taking my order. A little later a waiter came and served me the rest of the evening. I had asked the first person whether the pasta or pizzas were the way to go, and she indicated they were both good. I decided to go with a pizza, and there was a choice for a make-your-own pizza. I really love prawn or shrimp on a pizza, and although this was not a listed ingredient (for the make-your-own) it was on one of the specialty pizzas and they said they could do it (also with tomato sauce, mozzarella, and rocket). The waiter did say that it would be "small prawns." I also ordered the meatball appetizer. It took a pretty long time to get the appetizer, and when it came I was disappointed in the meatballs. They were super dry, and so the flavor was really only from the sauce. It came with a couple of slices of toasted bread that were also pretty plain. There was no bread with butter or oil for the table, although there were some appetizer options with focaccia. After a disappointing appetizer the pizza came. The pizza was cooked well, and there was definitely more flavor in the pizza. I was, however disappointed with the prawns. I do realize that in the UK the word prawn has a meaning different from how we use it in the US, and the waiter had said "small prawns", but these were definitely 61-70 - almost the smallest size available, and regarded as extra small in anyone's definition of prawns or shrimp. I cannot imagine that the same product is used in the pasta dish with prawns. It may seem picky, but for me the extra small variety they used just lacks the same flavor of a larger size. Together with the super dry meatballs, slightly confused service, slow timing, and lack of atmosphere, it pushed my experience into the 3 star zone.

    My dinner, excellent!

Went here for happy hour, they have 2 for 1 drinks. They were strong and a little on the sweeter side, but the bartender was very pleasant

I reserved an area for 40 people for the boyfriends birthday and couldn't have been happier with how the evening went. They reserved us a huge area which spanned both inside and outside the mismatch building. The first thing you notice is obviously the big red bus that you can actually dine upon. The next it's quirky greenhouse-esq. interior and then you can head out into their back garden area that has tables, a raised greenhouse area and plenty of available seating. They have a cocktail happy hour from 5 till 8 where cocktails are just £5 and they're pretty damn strong cocktails! And they also serve some fantastic street food. I opted for the wunderburger and it was god damn wunderful! Perfectly cooked juicy patty, topped with cheese, bacon and all the trimmings. Just wunderful! The only negative I have is that once they started getting busier the wait for drinks was rather extensive due to all the cocktail making so I'd just recommend a few more staff on those busy nights. Other than that I had the perfect evening and my boyfriend enjoyed his birthday immensely. Fantastic venue and another Deptford hidden gem!

It was about the social groups and charity groups in and around the Lewisham area and how us the community can help! There was also live music from artists in and around Lewisham and they all had a similar message and that was that we as a community, are all one and that we should work together to keep the area we live in a happy place. This was a good event and they should have more of these events around london. I didnt stay long (about an hour and a half) as i had work the next day but i would have stayed much longer! The venue itself, Wunderlust is quite a quirky place it has a huge red bus situated at the entrance and sells german hotdogs (hence the name!) Its decorated pretty with fairy lights and is like a little hidden den as it has like pathways which lead to different rooms and areas.. would recommend checking it out of your in the area..

My sister had to stare at the server to get her to come over because the server was busy chatting with another wait staff. She came over and gave us menus. My sister got the French dip sandwich, and I got the OG chicken basket. We both had fries with these dishes. My sister opened up her French dip sandwich, which, by the way it came with gravy, only defined the slimmest amount of meat. As in, enough meat to really cover half of the sandwich. She said it was OK, but not great. The sandwich roll was good. My chicken was just OK. Maybe better than a chicken nugget from McDonald's, but not that much better. And the dipping sauce was not very good either. Unfortunately, the service was not very good. The person who took our order never ever came back to our table. Someone else delivered the meal. Nobody ever came to check on us. My sister had to go up and ask for some condiments to go with her fries. It took a long time, but eventually yet another person showed up to deliver it. We both had a beer with our meal, but clearly this is a cocktail bar. Some people had some very cool and interesting looking cocktails served to them. I think in hindsight, this is a great place to come if you want to have a cocktail. But if you want to have food, go someplace else.

Hot damn. What an excellent choice. I was greeted by Nicky who enthusiastically and thoroughly explained the menu, then gave me time to puruse the menu and make my choice. He provided great conversation, was genuinely interested in my first visit to London, and made me feel incredibly comfortable and welcome, and ensured I had a great experience. If he is the example of managers you hire, the establishment is doing an awesome job. He made my evening and created an experience I won't ever forget. I had a couple of the different spritzes. some of my dinner companions had drinks that were smoking and had some cool effects to them. We had the mac and cheese bites, the shrimp lollypops and chicken wings for apps and the table ordered a variety of dishes both times in. I had the curry dishes each night with the tofu. This is where things went south for me. The tofu tasted off, like it went bad in the sauce. I thought the first time was an off night but the second night with a different curry dish also with tofu, I am not sure if something was off in the sauce or what the tofu may have been marinated.. but I did not eat more than the first bite on my second night in. I stuck with the apps and yummy drinks. Definitely a fun spot for happy hour, good vibes, good tunes and good drinks.
