Spaghetti House deserves all five stars. My boyfriend and I are in Saint Martin on the Dutch side celebrating our anniversary, and this spot completely saved our night. Everything on the beach closed so early, and after a long day we were starving, sweaty, and tired. We found Spaghetti House tucked behind a university and decided to give it a try, and I'm so glad we did because it was worth every minute of the wait. Our server, Clara, was fantastic. I asked her what the top three dishes were, and she confidently said, "Everything." I thought she was joking, but she wasn't lying. Everything we tried was a 10 out of 10. My boyfriend got the lasagna, and it was thick, hearty, and full of flavor. I asked her to make me a shrimp pasta with pink sauce and to make it spicy, and it came out perfect. The portions were huge, the food was fresh, and the flavors were incredible. For dessert, we shared their homemade Italian ice cream in cookies and cream flavor, and it came in the cutest little presentation. This place is a hidden gem. The food, service, and atmosphere were all amazing. If you're ever in Saint Martin, don't miss Spaghetti House. You'll leave full and happy. Their prices are so reasonable as well. read more

Their special with the fresh fish was delicious. Now I'm not sure how often they have that or change that but mine was completely delightful. Sea Bass I believe in a tomato sauce, black olives, arugula, side of potatoes. I added a side of broccoli based on the recommendation of a neighbor. Quaint little spot with lots of diners. The Spaghetti House has venues across central London. I visited the one located at Duke Street, a side street of Oxford street. The Spaghetti House serves good Italian food and I think everyone (also kids) can find something on their menu they will enjoy eating. Even though I absolutely loooove Italian 'Grandma-style' kind of restaurants, this contemporary and casual place was perfect to quickly have a decent amount of good food. Instead of dinner I had lunch at this place. Best decision ever! The Spaghetti House serves small dishes as well. It serves the perfect amount for a filling 'pick-me-up' lunch. After eating a small dish you won't be walking around with a heavily filled tummy that is demanding you to slow down. The staff is pretty organized (read: quick service!). There are two hosts (male and female) who are seating you at the restaurant. From that point waiters take over. read more

This is part of a chain of about ten that are based in London and for that reason alone, I would say that it was going to be bad. How wrong can you be, The Duke Street restaurant is brilliant. I have been going here for a while now and it has a lovely feel to it and the food and service are always really good. Décor inside has an Italian feel to it and they even painted they ceiling much like you would see in a church in Italy - sounds cheesy but it works. Food is typically Italian and to be honest I normally go for a pizza for penne. They do a lunchtime meal deal for circa £8 and I have taken family and business people here and they have always commented on how good it was. A wonderful find in my opinion, this one is near Oxford St so is ideal for those who want to pop in for lunch and a glass of vino. read more

There are many Spaghetti Houses in London, which proved confusing on my second, semi-drunken night there, when I got off the Tube, saw one, and assumed I was next to my hotel, since I'd eaten at this location--which is a stone's throw from the Marriott-- the night before. Anywho, the two options to dine within lazy ass walking distance of the Marriott are a pub, which doesn't cook its food onsite and stops serving at 10 pm, and this Spaghetti House. Three hungry, jetlagged travelers stopped here one Wednesday night for dinner. I don't remember what I ate. Some kind of pasta. It tasted okay. Actually, I think it had shrimp and scallops in it. Relatively unmemorable. But, as a later experience would prove, better than hotel room service, complete with fatty chewy chicken. So there's that. read more

Stayed at the Grosvenor Hotel last week in the West End and was looking for a good pasta dish within walking distance and this came up as a possibility. I was so so happy with my experience. This was just a short walk through Grosvenor Park near the U.S. Embassy. The staff seems to be mostly Italian and very delightful. We ordered the pasta and meatballs for two along with a great beer. I couldn't have been happier with the authentic tasting pasta and sauce along with homemade meatballs. It was so good, we walked way out of our way two days later for the same dish while my date ordered pasta with chicken and loved it! Being right down the street from our hotel we had to try this place! Great great pasta and nice, clean service. Only problem was having to take an order back for another. We'd asked the waitress a meal and it turned out bland so we switched it for another. It was handled quite well though and they were all very nice, we even took an order to-go for someone in our party at home. General prices here. I recommend the OG bolognese! "Not worth the time or $$" We went to this establishment only because we saw the sign near Oxford St. shopping. Looking semi-busy, so we went in there. Fistly we waited about 10 minutes before the waitress took our order for drinks.. (whom btw could hardly speak english).. when the food came the food seriously was SO bland. Both of our pastas we had were very un flavourable and very oily. And what pasta place doesnt serve bread with the meal?? ALso they charge 10% s/c if your paying by VISA. Oy. Not good. Walked in around 8pm. Had to ask if we should seat ourselves as there was no attendant. Took ten minutes to have our dirty table cleaned off and get menus. Another 20 to actually see a waitress. She asked if we'd like bread and I said sure. I don't know if this is a Brit thing or what, but when we got the check I was shocked to see we were charged for the bread. Let me describe: one pita cut into quarters with a garlic butter, toasted=4£ Eek. Received meal ONE hour after arriving! Husband enjoyed his basic lasagna and my chicken Milanese was serviceable. Not sure if they butchered the chicken in the back, but an hour for very simple Italian fare is unacceptable. read more

Went to the one by the Trafalgar Square, really didn't know what to expect and was pleasantly surprised. A highly energetic, Italian fellow, greeted us at the door and got us seated right away. Our drink orders (Birra Moretti) arrived while we were making our menu selection and munching on olives and bread (gratis appetizer). Great place for a quick bite and the price is right. I stayed at a hotel right around the corner and I've eaten at a couple italian restaurants in the area, but I thought this was one of the better ones. Also, they don't call it spaghetti house for no reason. I didn't get a chance to try a lot of entrees, but I did try the spaghetti and it is really good! The restaurant is simple and the service is pretty good. We originally sat outside, but the service was slow. We stopped here for dinner yesterday evening. Service was initially prompt and very friendly. Drinks and appetizers were good. Unfortunately while eating appetizers there was an "electrical problem" that shut off most of the lights in the restaurant. While I could see this as a possibility in such an old building, what appeared to be a manager visibly flipped a switch just as the lights went off. I won't assume that we were lied to, but it seemed a bit strange and coincidental. The waitress also shared that she was excited to go home early due to the power outage. Very odd and unprofessional behavior. Especially considering we were disappointed that we'd have to find another place to eat for a main course after already starting our meal. The restaurant also made no effort to comp either the drinks or the appetizers. However, as soon as we walked in the wonderful aromas encouraged me that the food would be good and we weren't disappointed.
