Late February 2011 only stumbled across this place because had spent a fair bit of time looking for Davy's wine bar which was by all accounts supposed to be either at Euston Tower Podium or 283 Euston Road. Couldn't find Davy's but noticed Zone One and went in. It was mid week after work and the first impression was a quiet place, quite nicely furbished and well furnished.
There was a standard list of wines, went for a bottle of the simplest sauvignon blanc and wasn't disappointed, also it seemed to me to be very reasonably priced in relation to some of the surrounding pubs and restaurants. Ordered at the bar and the bottle was brought to the table with an ice bucket.
I give it 4 rather than 5 because was not there long enough to fully check it out and also, despite asking and being told to sit anywhere, the person who served us did later on come back and apologise that we had managed to select an area that was booked. They helped us move our drinks and nibbles to another set of seats of our choice so all was fine.
Found the place to be welcoming with just the right ambiance to sit and have a quiet chat over a few glasses of wine. Would highly recommend it for anyone who wants to relax after a long day but doesn't quite want the hustle and bustle of a pub. read more
