They broke my items twice and had multiple delays, were impossible to get ahold of (until three weeks in when I found all of these Yelp reviews and emailed the people named), could not answer direct questions, and are currently trying to deliver an item that home depot refunded over a week ago despite my contacting them to notify them that the order was cancelled. Just save yourself the hassle and pick up your items. You won't get what they promise with this company. In a span of three weeks and three telephone calls to Home Depot and an email to NSD (extramile@hubgroup.com), I was told my package had been lost. This business is a joke and these people should be ashamed of themselves. We have spent hours trying to get answers about a counter top that we were waiting for that was supposedly dropped off. Nothing but a run around. Asked for proof of delivery and they would not provide anything besides to say that it was dropped off. We waited at home all day since this piece is holding up our entire project. Keep in mind I have Ring doorbell as well. Based on the reviews on Yelp ( BTW they disabled customer reviews on Google) I see that SO many others have this issue. How are they not sued by now? Where are all these items going? Please know that I RARELY give 1-star reviews to anyone as I feel they are almost always a result of personal issues with someone at a company as versus objective assessments of services/goods. That said, DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY if at all possible. Our company purchased some truck tool boxes through Home Depot (HD), which were delivered in very poor condition as a result of the initial shipping company (I can't remember who delivered them). We immediately called HD to advise that 4 of the 6 toolboxes we received were damaged to the point of unusable and needed to be returned. HD promptly setup a return pickup with NSD, who sent us an email on 5/10/22 advising they were attempting to schedule a pickup of the return items at our business. But then we were never able to get them to respond to the request to setup a pickup. THEN, when we were finally able to get someone from this company on the phone to schedule the pickup, these clowns advised they had CANCELLED the return at the request of HD. So I promptly called HD to find out why they would do that. Mind you, HD is holding our $3k for this order until they receive this return on their end. HD stated they did not cancel this return with NSD and they were unclear what happened, but they re-issued the return request...again with NSD. We received return effort #2 email advising NSD was trying to schedule a pickup of the return, which we promptly responded to in email. When we did not receive a response from NSD, we made numerous attempts to call NSD on the phone, where we literally always landed in an automated system that is similar to the circle of death you all experience on the internet - when the system can't reach any form of intelligent life. We attempted to reach them through their website chat as well, and got a similar response. The system asks you to hold until a customer service rep can hop online, but that rep doesn't appear to exist and chats don't ever actually happen. Emails get an auto-response saying they received it and will be responding to you shortly. It's pretty clear NSD has no concept of what 'shortly' means because we've been waiting for 35-days to get a response to the first email we sent them. I had to call HD customer service again, this time explaining that they have my $3k they won't refund me until NSD comes to pickup these toolboxes. The lovely HD rep, LaShaun, called the bat line to NSD to get them answer a phone. Then HD had to complete a whole new return because NSD couldn't facilitate the return as there was a 'discrepancy' in HD's request for return. I find that ironic considering NSD was an epic failure on every level of this whole process. Moral of the story - DO NOT USE NSD (HUB GROUP) shipping if at all possible. The odds of pissing off your customer or yourself are exponential. read more

Research who ships your item BEFORE buying it! If you want to buy a large item online, make sure that the seller is NOT using NSD. It's that simple. As everyone has said: -Your item will be days/ weeks/ months late (if it ever arrives at all) -You'll have no idea where your item is. -There's NO phone customer service since ten thousand other people are trying to call at the same time. -There's NO email customer support or chat support either for I guess the same reason? -They were bought by something called the "HUB GROUP" which might explain why they suck so much? Who knows... -The seller won't have any way to help you out because see above. So rather than just another ranting review, my advice is this: research who will ship your item BEFORE BUYING IT and if it's NSD/ Hub group, buy elsewhere or ship it to a store and pick it up from there. NSD lost my treadmill in their warehouse for a month, then can't seem to figure out how to deliver it. We bought a sink from Home Depot 10 days ago. The NSD tracking page lists 4 attempted deliveries. We were home and nobody came at those times. I attempted to contact them via phone, email, chat and their online form - no response. Now we have received notice that our sink was delivered and we do not have it. They've had three requests for the terminal to contact me and they've all gone unanswered. I ordered a wood burning stove and it came to me tipped over on its side (mind you its about 400 lbs), the window blown out and a dent in the side of it. PLEASE avoid NSD at all costs. **If you don't want to read the whole review - I would just take note that even contacting extramile@hubgroup will not provide any benefit for your orders. The workbench was not only scratched, but the top had chunks of wood out of it, there was a good sized dent and some parts of the metal were bent from whatever they did to it enroute. I contacted Home Depot who still had no record of delivery, and they also weren't able to get a hold of NSD to figure out what happened either. I've contacted NSD again about this, and honestly I don't know what they can do to get me to bump the review. They obviously are not listening to the complaints here. I'm a frustrated customer. I waited on my pre-scheduled window, and they never showed up. I called and waited for 20 min on the call. No answer. In addition, I sent a chat message and, again, no response. 50 min later, I do receive a call that they are on the way, but it wasn't 30 min but within seconds. I left because I had things to do. I was driving back, and I told them I'd be there in 30 min. I arrive at home, and they aren't there. I called the person back to his cellphone and no response twice. I hit a call back from the customer service, but they weren't helpful. Their slogan, "Going the Extra Mile," does not align with the customer needs--terrible service. I dealt with NSD as a result of ordering a treadmill from an exercise equipment company. As for many here, the service was in name only. An email claiming I would be called to set up delivery within 24-48 hours was literally a lie, emails went unanswered, and the best bit: calling repeatedly for 15 minute periods (after which the auto system shuts the call down) resulted in zero phone communication with this group. I get the picture that cheap delivery is all the rage with iffy companies now, but surely some delivery should be in the picture for that to happen, no? It's weeks after the promised delivery timeframe of 3 days and 2 weeks for my item, and all efforts to communicate come to naught. In my opinion, NSD stands for Non-Starter Delivery. read more

I am one of the rare people to give a good rating for NSD. If this was 3 days ago, I would have given 1-star, but I am giving 4 stars, because of the great service experience I got after emailing: ExtraMile@hubgroup.com. Stacy Harrold was amazing and got back to me almost immediately. I also got a phone call within 20 minutes to schedule my pick-up. I had purchased a workbench from Home Depot, which arrived damaged, so I needed to return it. I needed to schedule a pick-up of the return item. On 4/12 I received an email saying NSD would call me to schedule. In talking with Home Depot, NSD has 5 business days to call the customer. Today was day 5, so had I NOT emailed the extramile inbox, who knows, maybe I would have gotten a call. I also wanted to thank Patrick Lynch, VP of Customer Care, who I found on LinkedIn. I emailed him this morning, too, and he got back to me almost immediately. Net-net is that I DO think there are nice and caring people who work here who want to help! I am deducting ONE star, because I feel like there are ways to improve the customer experience. What I think should be improved: 1) Automate service requests through the IVR. Allow customers to input their tracking # and schedule a pickup time/date through the IVR. 2) Automate service requests through tracking.shipnsd.com. I was able to look-up my tracking and see that it was in queue for PU scheduling, but it would be great to let customers pick a time/date through the website if you used an API to link your website to your scheduling software, this shouldn't be that challenging. 2) If you offer online chat, at least have staff to answer chats. I waited for over an hour for someone to respond to my chat request but no one ever did. 3) If you offer the "call back option" (rather than wait on hold, we can call you back when it's your turn), then please call customer back. Now that things are settled down. Instead of waiting a week for someone to call us, we went and picked the TV up. First and for most, the box was damaged so we had a clear idea that the tv was probably busted, but in good faith we still picked it up & transported the TV safely to our house. We got home unboxed the tv & there was a big crack in the middle of the tv where it looks like someone drove a fork lift into the tv (we are assuming that's why our tv was being held so long). Lastly, their storage was not equipped to store tvs apparently bc the tv ALSO had moisture inside the screen. So on top of my tv being in my area to be delivered, to going back somewhere almost 2 hours away, us going to pick it up, it was ruined due to poor storage/handling. So now On top of having to go pick it up, now we have to find somewhere to get rid of a 70in TV without getting fined. Thank You so much for the lack of customer service. read more

Sketchy- Ordered 2 cabinets, one was delivered (damaged of course). Delivery person told my husband that the other one was on a different truck- which never arrived. Home Depot said the weight of the delivery matched the weight of the order so we have to dispute via our credit card (a polite way of calling us liars). Luckily, We have security cameras so we can prove we are not liars. The NSD phone system puts you on hold for 15 minutes then disconnects you. ( I called NSD about this and was told the driver couldn't reach me. When I informed the representative that was impossible, my phone had been right next to me all day because I was expecting the call --HE HUNG UP ON ME! * Package was left on the wrong side of the house, AND was blocking a neighbor's parking spot. * The package was left right around the corner of the house, anyone driving into the lot would not see it until it was too late. WE ARE VERY LUCKY NO ONE WAS INJURED BY SMASHING INTO THE PACKAGE The cost for this item was $1,500 + tax +a delivery fee -- Including the service of the courier bringing the package to my threshold. I live on the third-floor, and it was paramount that this large item was brought upstairs. I am a single woman living with physical impairments which hinder my ability to bend, as well as to hold ANYTHING, let alone such a large and heavy item. On the morning of [Wednesday] March 18th, I received a phone call from NSD to let me know my package had arrived at their facility. The gentleman told me that the package was very large, and that he had only one driver that day due to employees calling out during the Covid-19 pandemic. He also informed me that the delivery person wouldn't be able to bring the package inside at all-- even if I was able to find him help-- per directive by "The Boss". I'm a logical and level-headed person, so I realized it made sense that NSD wanted to keep their employees and customers safe. I also recognized that they were understaffed; so I offered that if it was easier, I could wait until [Monday] March 23rd for my package. The Gentleman on the phone readily agreed and stated that he would be in touch Monday morning to give me a timeframe for delivery. My personal plan was to round up a neighbor and his 64yr old father to help the driver bring the package up the outside stairs to the door, at least. From there, my neighbor and his father could get it thought the door, into the stairwell, and I would figure the rest out on my own. I had no idea whether the item was fully assembled or not. My hope was that it would be in pieces so I might be able to bring it upstairs piecemeal, at a pace which I could handle. On Monday morning, March 23rd, I anxiously awaited the call from NSD. When I hadn't heard anything yet, I called the number I had been provided at 11:18am (see photo). The representative who answered told me that my package was on its way and would be delivered later that afternoon. I asked him to please make sure I got a warning call 15 min before delivery. I reiterated to him that it was very important because I am physically impaired and need to notify my help when the package was close. Also, there was a severe sleet / rain storm forecasted for that afternoon, so I would need to get it indoors asap. The rep assured me that it is protocol for delivery drivers to call recipients 15-20 minutes prior to arrival. At approximately 11:50, I heard a noise outside and looked out the window to see a young man with a pallet jack walking up the driveway from the back of the house towards a delivery truck on the street. When I looked out back, there was an enormous box situated just around the corner of the house in the parking lot. Not only was the package blocking a neighbors parking spot, it was positioned in an extremely dangerous way so that anyone pulling into the driveway would smash into it coming around the corner. I promptly called NSD at 11:55 (photo documented) to question why I hadn't been notified that my delivery was imminent. The [same] representative told me that the driver couldn't reach me. I protested how that was an impossible excuse since I've had my phone next to me the whole time, as well as the fact that I didn't have any missed calls. His abrupt answer was to hang up on me. Immediately I called the vendor to let them know about the unreasonable, impolite and asinine actions of their courier service, NSD. The vendor was extremely apologetic and compensating. I was also told by them that an action would be raised directly with NSD over this, as it reflects negatively on the vendor's reputation. I must mention again that this was a $1,500 left outside that had not been signed for nor had any verification of delivery. The next day, I received an email stating the time of delivery as 1:00p. Ordered a high value product that ended up being shipped by NSD. Got an email that the scheduled delivery would be between 2-5 am. Being a home, with three kids, there is no way that time will work. I checked the NSD website tracking to confirm the delivery time. I setup a chat through the website. When asking about the delivery all I got in response. 'The order has not been scheduled we just received the order yesterday." After responding 'that's fine but your websites does say between 2-5 am.' I got a similar, but a little more snarky response. 'It has not been confirmed for delivery. Once we receive the orders the scheduler will confirm date with customer or reschedule the date selected is not available.' All I know. They better not show up tomorrow between 2-15 am. Also to note, the original delivery was supposed to be 5-days ago. Update: did what the below mentioned, as he does on every review, and like every review I still haven't heard back in two days. Again this is a high ticket item that is lost. I demand NSD to refund my lost money. Update 3-4: was scheduled for delivery June 24th. Received a text message on the 22nd confirming delivery time between 1-4. I texted at 4:10 to confirm delivery was still happening. Got a confirmation 'yes' the truck was running late. Never came. On Monday, June 27th, the website said the item had been delivered. It had not. Text and called the number from before. No response. Emailed the VP of Customer service and thought I was making progress when I was contacted via email bu a support rep. Again, long week+ story short. They confirmed the package wasn't delivered, did a dock sweep a week ago. Reached out to NSD again. Nothing noted about a dock sweep and was told it would be down again. Here's the fun part. Reported this company to the better BBB. Got a response two days ago that the package was damaged. I ordered a shower base from Tile Redi and it shipped 1/13. It took 10 days to get to So Cal from Indiana. I suppose that isn't too bad but the fact that the shower base was broken (see pics), the box had a huge whole in it and for some reason all the metal staples were removed as though someone opened the box in transit. The box was taped shut. I inspected the box on arrival with the delivery people present. They agreed it was broken but told me they weren't responsible and that I had to contact the manufacturer. Now the project is delayed 14-20 days. My customer is mad because they won't have a bathroom for another 3 weeks or more. read more

A delivery was made to our residence on the 19th of May wich may I add took over a month to get. Only to find out when I opened packaging on Sunday the 21st to put item together. The item in question is a dining table, when the table top was removed from box, found several pieces of hardware had fallen off also to include a piece that fell off after lifting table. Customer service is terrible, it is almost impossible to actually talk to a human (I got hung up on several times after being on hold waiting for a human), and the online chat doesn't work half of the time. And the online chat person I had today really couldn't do anything to help me. Says she will escalate my complaint... I'll get a call from the company on Monday... Unfortunately, the lowest score I can give for this company is 1 star. If negative stars were an option, I would have chosen that. We have been trying to schedule this company to pick up a return for a Wayfair order since April 21 (15 days ago). When you call the number they provide, you hold for 16 minutes, then the call cuts you off and tells you they will call back on the number you called on. They do not. I have waited up to 2 hours trying to access someone via the chat feature on the website and no one ever responds. For the customer service email address they provide with your tracking number, the only response ever given is an automated response that states you will be contacted in 24-48 hours. Of course, no one contacts you. As suggested on Yelp, I have reached out to ExtraMile at hubgroup dot com. Stacey does answer promptly, but every time she tells me that she cannot reach the local terminal scheduler, and if that changes, she will let us know. How can you not reach someone in your own company for weeks? This company is a complete black hole of communication. I have three huge boxes of furniture that are taking up my living room. Worst experience I've ever had with a carrier. Teo deliveries in a row -- first they failed to pick up a returned item 2X because they failed to bring the proper equipment -- both times. For the second experience, they delivered a damaged item and left it 20 yards from my door. It's too large to carry. Customer support said, Oh the $600 you paid for the item wasn't enough. It's an extra charge for us to put it at your door. Seriously. And customer support was SO rude.
