I have been to HTW motorsports to buy tires and wheels for my truck and my son's truck and I couldn't be happier with the product and the service. But what happened this weekend is why you should use HTW as your tire and wheel store. I got a screw in my tire on a day that I promised my son he could use my Silverado for his homecoming dance later that evening. I tried taking the tire to a local tire store and they could not help me because the tread was too worn. So I decided to take the tire and truck to HTW on a busy Saturday about 11:00 a.m. even though I knew they closed at 12:00 p.m. I was desperate to keep my promise to my son. I found Tony the manager and I explained my predicament. He said he did not think he had my size tires in stock but he would take a look and see what he had. He brought out a very nice set of Falken tires and said they were for a customer who was going to get them on Monday. I loved the tires so he said he would sell them to me and get some more for the other customer. Well long story short, Tony had the new tires on my truck and ready to go by 12:00. Now this is not the first time Tony and HTW came through from me but this time they really saved me and helped me keep my promise to my son. Figuring out how to properly lift a wrangler can be a challenging process...so many different kinds of lift, so many packages. My goals was to lift my 2016 4 door wrangler so I can fit 35 tires without having random problems that often come with a improperly lifted rig. No death wobble. No drive line vibration. Not having the jeep lunge forward while breaking. Not having my tires rub against anything turn to turn. Just wanted a nice clean lift to run 35s. It took me about a month of calling around before I found HTW. It wasn't just the price, but Scotts ability to walk me through why he choose the Rubicon Express kit, what's in the kit and how each component fits on the rig. Price was fair for the hardware and labor on the rig. I got a custom RE kit 3.25 kit (RE makes these for HTW) wheels, 35 tires and a winch installed on my stock bumper. The quality of everything is great. No cheap parts. After driving 200 miles on the rig, no problems detected. In fact Scott recommended to come back after a 1000 miles so they can re-torque everything. It's an amazing ride. It's the way wranglers should be. EDIT: please read revision at bottom after. Went here on a Saturday, they are only open until noon. Talked to a sales guy for a few and looked at some different rims for my truck. I made it quick as they were beginning to close but the guy quoted me a fair price on some rims and tires. I gave him some info and he told me he would text me Monday so that I could get them installed the following Saturday. I went online and secured the financing but the guy never texted me or called me. I sent the company a message on their website and never heard back. I went in 2 weeks later on a Saturday 2 weeks later and couldn't get anyone to help me as they were all busy. They have a nice selection of rims but If I have to work this hard just to buy them, I cant imagine what would happen if I needed help after the sale. EDIT: I was contacted by Chris recently from HTW he is extremely responsive, set me up with a great wheel and tire package and easy financing. I made an appointment with HTW to have my uniballs in my control arms replaced a week and a half in advance. I dropped off my vehicle when they opened at 8:30 the lady asks me, "Who did you make the appointment with"? I tell her, "I don't know, but that lady next to you is the one who talked to the mechanic to get the estimate. And the guy who took the appointment was sitting at the desk you're sitting at now". Then she tells me, Oh here it is. Before I leave, I confirm with her, "It's going to be done today, right?" She confirms, "Yes it will be done today". 4:00 rolls around and I haven't heard from HTW, so I call. The conversation goes as follows; She tells me, "No it's not done. They haven't even started it yet. Is there a problem with leaving it another day? " Me, "WTH? Yes there's a problem with me leaving it another day. I work tomorrow and the next day and the next and need it to get to work. Plus, I won't be able to pick it up. You said it would be done today. I made an appointment and dropped it off first thing in the morning". Her, "Well you couldn't tell me who you made the appointment with". Me, "How is that my job? I make the appointment. You have the work order ticket, then you delegate the work. That's how it works! And, I really don't appreciate you trying to pass the buck onto me when it's YOU guys who dropped the ball. I knew this was going to happen. You guys did the same thing to me last time I needed my ball joints replaced on my last truck but at least that time you knocked it out in a few hours. That's why I thought I'd give you a second chance." Screw these guys! I don't know if this job was to small for them to care or what. They try to blame the customer for their screw ups and have zero concern for the inconvenience they put you through. Oh yah, then she started to lie. She started telling me, "Oh, it's going to take a lot longer than we previously thought. We're going to have to take off a bunch of parts to just get to it". It's a fricken uni-ball on the UCA! You take off the wheel and it's right there! The only reason I don't do it myself is that I had other things to do. Plus, my complex doesn't like me working infront of my garage. Without a doubt, the best shop in 100 mile radius at least. I had two other quotes from competitors, one of which was a major chain. Not only was HTW's price better but they knew their product better. I don't think I've ever seen a business on yelp with a 5 star rating besides this one, and it's well deserved. They're not handing out gift bags or showering you with crap you didn't ask for, they're providing an excellent service at an excellent price. Told me it would take about a day and a half for the lift, wheels, tires and alignment. Dropped it off Thursday morning and picked it up Friday morning. For years I always felt that a simple two-inch block lift would complement my RAS (Roadmaster Assist Springs) perfectly in the back of my 4x4 Excursion tow-vehicle which already has upgraded V-code leafs in front. All the parts outfits and installation shops - for years, nearly a decade - always insisted on air-bags and or leaf-adds/leaf-spring upgrades and never would listen to what I wanted to get out of the mod. What they wanted was what mattered. I guess what I wanted was not nearly as costly... but then suddenly everything fell into place in just a few days!. I finally found/contacted Suspension Specialists in Anaheim and they were able to provide me exactly the right parts - the Ex is somewhat problematic and the usual F250/350 stuff doesn't quite work on the rear axle. After the USPS delivered the prompt shipment to me, I brought the parts over to Chris at HTW Motorsports in Upland who listened attentively and agreed with my reasoning for the mod including how I wanted to keep on using the Roadmaster Assist Springs which add support without roughening the ride and which also help significantly with rear axle-wrap and tracking. No need for the expensive "radius rods" nor any other high-dollar "expert solutions" on the net-- for my intended purposes anyway. Chris never tried to up-sell me anything at all or mention air-bags or heavier/add-on leaf-springs which I already know would be overkill and cost much more and roughen the ride unnecessarily for the purposes of towing a 23 foot tandem axle travel trailer. The next day, in one hot Inland Valley July afternoon, the 2-inch blocks and U-bolts installation was completed at HTW and my Ex feels perfectly dialed in, towing or not. Thanks again, Chris! I recently purchased a 2016 Toyota Tundra Platinum 4x4 and was shopping around trying to find a reputable shop to install a lift as well as a few other options. I was referred to HTC Motorsports and told to call Tony. One phone call and I could easily tell that Tony was an absolute professional. I've had my wheels cleaned up/repainted here twice and they've done great work both times. I just took the wheels in after letting a friend borrow the car and he curb rashed the entire wheel. They fixed that wheel along with the others for a great price and it was done within a few hours.
