We also had a deck removed by our pool, we had them lay cement and rebuild a firepit. The cement came out really nice, the overlay came out good, but we had to restain a few spots and one of the patches looks off. Victor left us some stain so that we could redo it. I'm a DIYer (Do It Yourselfer) with an engineering and tinkering background. I had a bad leak in in…read moremy bedroom ceiling possibly due to an old Dish Network dish that I removed when I moved in two years ago. Also there were a couple of asphalt shingles missing so, I figger I easily can fix that. Yeah, right! Discovered real quick I was in over my head and the rainy season was heading my way. It looked like I really needed a new roof rather than a quickie patch job but I didn't have a loose ten grand or so NOW for a new roof so I wound up checking around. Tim was the first one available in the next few days so I decided to give him a try. He came out promptly a day or two later and looked at my pitiful repair start and said he could fix that and then pointed out several other problem shingles I had not even noticed. Wow, sez me to myself, looks like this guy knows roofs! And I noticed his ad said "nothing over $500!" And what he proposed to fix, thought I, would easily cost $500. WRONG! His estimate was way under $500! And he only spent maybe as much as 3 hours on the roof. And wow, did he do a great job! He even fixed a problem I didn't know I had with no extra charge. So I pays him and gave him a nice tip. And sure enough, a week later we got a rare heavy thundershower. And I do mean heavy! And the leak? Not a drop. Wow, sez I, that's what I've always wanted! A perfect job at a discount price. And when I get my roof money ready, I'm definitely calling him even though I don't think he wants to do a full roof job. My job involved removing upstairs deck coating and flashing with several layers of previous coatings. No one in the past could compare with the thoroughness of Allied Coatings. The workers were thoughtful in climbing up to the deck from the outside with a ladder since we have no stairs. When I saw the detail with which they applied various waterproofing materials, it made me think that we've never had this job done properly in the past. If you have any waterproofing needs or special deck coatings or garage floor finishes, BE SURE TO GET A BID FROM ALLIED COATINGS. You will thank me.
