We also had a deck removed by our pool, we had them lay cement and rebuild a firepit. The cement came out really nice, the overlay came out good, but we had to restain a few spots and one of the patches looks off. Victor left us some stain so that we could redo it. Deckrete resurfaced my shower floor with decorative poly chip epoxy. I had 2"x2" ceramic tiles in a 7ft x 3 1/2 ft shower with hundreds of grout lines. Needless to say, cleaning and maintenance (caulking) was a nightmare. Now I have a solid surface sealed shower floor, thanks to Victor the owner of Deckrete. Victor just drilled a drainage hole in my concrete curb with his core drill. The work went well. He paid close attention to placing the drill relative the inclined asphalt of the street to drill a hole that will let water run downward and out onto the street, without puddling inside the hole. Within 2 years there were quality problems with the restamp/sealing work performed by Deckrete. The initial job was expensive and Victor stated that resealing would be needed by year 3 as a matter of routine maintenance at a cost of approximately $800. I called and had Victor come out to see the problem in Aug 2019. He agreed to send a crew to perform touchup work where needed. I have not heard from him since despite repeated calls, text messages and emails. It is now May 13, 2020. If you the reader are considering hiring Deckrete, you are doing so at your own peril. They say first impressions last a lifetime . Well, I can tell you I won't be hiring this company for any services. I reached out through yelp and got a fast response. I was excited because it showed me they were on top of their game . I was so wrong. I left work early for a 4:30 appointment today and it was a NO SHOW. Not a call or a text. I wanted to make a point by reaching to Victor since he was the one messaging me earlier in the week. If you see other reviews , their is a pattern of scheduling appointments but not showing up. Hired them last minute due to my contractor doing such a terrible job at staining my old cement so I found them on YELP, read their reviews and decided to give them a try. Victor came to my house to give me a quote the following day after calling. I love the samples he showed me and I told him if need it all done within a week as I was having a party the following week. They came Monday and we're done on Thursday! We purchased a condo and found out soon after closing that our concrete deck had a leak that brought water into the unit below us. We got quotes from three companies, two of which said they would have to strip the deck to the wood studs and totally re-build it, costing thousands of dollars. Victor from Deckrete came in, inspected the deck, and quoted us a very reasonable price (less than half of the other quotes) to resurface and leak proof the deck. Victor was very patient, was not in a rush, and answered all our questions. We had several detailed follow up questions after receiving the quote, and Victor answer each of them. Its also worth mentioning that woman who works in the office is a good communicator and is pleasant to work with. From agreeing to the contract to the work being done took under two weeks. Victors crew members were very kind, good listeners, and answer any question we had. Victor came three times throughout the process to check on the status and quality. They sanded our existing deck, laid fiber glass down, put on a few layers of sealant, and then textured and painted the surface. At the end we performed a water to test to ensure that the leak was fixed. Working with contractors is usually a rough ride, but Deckrete was pleasant to work with and did a great job. read more

The more complicated the pattern of concrete finish, the higher the cost. At the end I decided for the knocked down texture with a brick design on pool coping. It turned out better than I expected. My Initial inquiry was through yelp, quick and fast response to set up appointment to view project. Once at the project Victor claimed he could do the project so I email him the plans so he could give me a proper estimate. 12 days later no response from him. We had our pool deck redone by Deckrete a few years ago and they did a great job. They came in at a fair price and got the work done in a timely manner. They were professional and were able to solve several issues our old deck had previously. At that time we worked with Nick Romo and he was always prompt and professional and the job went smoothly. We were happy with the result. So, when we decided to have some more work done in our back yard we thought we'd try them again. I wasn't able to get a hold of Nick from his direct line, perhaps he isn't with the company anymore? I called their general number and left a message. I didn't hear back from them that day or the next. A week later someone calls me from Deckrete and I had already forgot about them because they hadn't replied to me. The guy said he was on vacation so I gave him the benefit of the doubt. He said he would be able to come over the next day to do an estimate and he seemed eager to do the job after we discussed it. I didn't expect it so soon after and I was fine with any time the next week but he was the one who set the time for 5:30 the next day and said he'd text me when he's on his way, so I set that on the calendar. The next day 5:30 comes around and no one shows up, no text either. It's a Friday so I figure he could be in traffic. 5:45 comes up and still no one, no call, no text, nothing. So, I called him and left a message just to see if we were still on. I received nothing. I gave him until 6:30 thinking maybe he's in bad traffic or his clock is an hour off...still nothing. We ended up just having dinner and completing our errands that we put off to accommodate this guy. I even gave him the next day to get back to me, a call, a text, something just to confirm he was still interested in doing the job. I guess not because it's now Monday and I still haven't heard from him. It just makes me feel like they're unreliable and I wouldn't have expected that seeing how well Nick had done the job for us previously. Again, maybe he's not with the company anymore? But I just add this to the long list of vendors who don't return calls. We've had the toughest time just trying to get a hold of a company who wants to work. A simple call makes all the difference, no one believes in customer service anymore. Really disappointing. read more

This is my first Yelp review and I wish I could have given a positive review. Unfortunately I am not very happy with the work that I received by Deckrete, and especially the owner Victor. When I contacted him, he was very receptive and was on time when we met. He always answered his phone and would respond on time. That, I have to give him credit for. I also have to give him credit for always being responsive when I contacted him. Unfortunately the actual work that this company performs is very subpar. The work that was done was creating a drainage system from my cemented back yard to the front street. He also was tasked with resurfacing my back yard and I painting it. The work was supposed to be completed in two weeks. I specifically asked him to give me a reasonable time frame and not be late. Well, there was only one day of rain in these two weeks but the completed job (if I can call it that) was almost two months. The time frame was not good, but what bothered me more was the lack of professionalism when it came to my house. When he said he was finished (not even close to being finished) there was a mess in the back yard with my french doors left dirty. He placed a drainage tube through my front lawn that he let die because he took so long to finish. He left my front lawn a complete mess. He didn't even place the tube in the right place. He placed the drainage tube next to my sprinklers where I couldn't fix them if they would brake. I questioned him about this and he did come back and move the tube to another part of my lawn. Unfortunately he left the tube at the grass level. Not deep enough to where it was under the grass level. What professional would ever think to do this? I couldn't believe how a professional would come and place a tube not completely underground. That shows the lack of professionalism and respect to a home owner. He did come back and put it underground after I called him on it. It took him another two weeks for that. Through all this, my front lawn is now a dirt disaster. This was unbelievable. What he kept stating when I asked him to complete his job was that he had done extra work for me without charging me. What he was talking about was a two by four cemented step that he said he did for me. Yes he did, but he forgot to say that I paid him over 15k for this terrible job. I am very disappointed in his craftsmanship. I have never paid this amount of money and been so thoroughly disappointed. A true professional finishes the job on time, leaves everything clean, and leaves any other part of the house the same as he found it. My front lawn should have been completely fixed and not left a complete mess. I know have to hire someone to fix my front lawn. When Victor says he will fix something, he will fix it! With a new office manager to help him get his business organized Victor is on schedule, gets things done and reaches out to resolve problems. We were contacted by his office manager, Lidia, saying that Victor was sorry about our problem with the driveway, but he wanted to make everything right. She made an appointment and he showed up, right on time and eager to resolve the problem to our satisfaction. He and his helper ground the cracks so that they were smooth and wide enough to fill, filled them with some kind of caulk and then Victor's helper came back a couple of days later and filled in where the caulk had shrunk a little. There were some nasty oil stains from a truck that had been parked on the driveway and they managed to get them off, and finally, Victor coated the caulk with color that matched the driveway. It looks beautiful again. I have to give Victor credit. He is making a huge effort to improve his business. Now that the office is a well oiled machine, Victor is doing a fabulous job. I would give him more business if I had any more concrete that needed his TLC. I wish there was a way to remove my old YELP review; that's how strongly I feel about the turnaround in this business. Victor was recommended by a company in Orange County that did not come to the San Gabriel Valley. He responded immediately to my phone call, came on time to our appointment and gave us a price to resurface 2000 feet of 35 year old stained and cracked concrete driveway. He does beautiful work but he also gave us some excellent suggestions about color and patterns. He recommended doing more than we had originally thought to do, because he saw where the cracking was and by following his suggestions to cut some additional expansion joints, we hopefully will minimize the cracking going forward. He was on the job every day, cleaned up after himself, helped us decide what to do to make the driveway look better than it looked when it was new. I have to say that when my husband said he wanted to resurface the driveway, I thought it was a dumb idea, but now that I see it done, I am enthusiastic and cannot recommend Victor enough.
