Clean Krete gets my highest recommendation. A month earlier another contractor was botching my driveway and walkways with substandard water staining. I stopped work and had a mess on my hands. I decided to use Clean Krete's color sealing which uses an opaque paint covering. I was a little hesitant because I thought a solid color might look a little "painterly." I also read bad reviews at Home Depot and Lowe's about do-it-yourself kits that went wrong. I always preferred the look of staining. But I had a mess to cover up. Clean Krete had good competitive pricing. They brought out a two-man crew that always showed up on time and was serious about their work. They pressure-washed the concrete, applied a coat of epoxy, two coats of the color seal, and two additional coats of glossy topcoat. They also grinded down some high spots and coated a courtyard curb for free. Their workmanship was very good. It looks great!! Now I actually prefer the color seal process. They use Life Paint products and my only quibble would be that Life Paints offers limited colors and the paint on the concrete doesn't match the color chips. Clean Krete waived a $250 color change fee when my first choice looked completely different from the brochure. The applied colors seem much more grayish and often have undertones of mauve/purple. Definitely get a good sample before proceeding. Overall, very please with this company! read more

I should also point out, the quote I received from Robert Iniquez, same last name, included removing the spa from the patio, when I received the contract via email, it did not include the moving of the spa and the total price for the job was not reduced, it was the same as the quote given to me by Robert. I'm in my 70s & a disabled vet and had no choice, hired a local handyman to do the moving. Had you offered me a refund, or did the right thing and adjusted the price on the contract before emailing it to me, maybe then a one star would have been inappropriate. You should treat Seniors and Vets better! read more

I spoke to April several weeks ago. I left a message for Miguel to return my call for some follow up work around my house. This company stained 3200 sq feet of concrete for me in 2015. It was a huge job. The concrete stain has since faded and needed resealing. I expressed to April that we know Miguel personally and that we used to be neighbors. I gave her very specific information regarding my project and personal relationship with Miguel and his family. April took notes as we spoke and my phone number. I initially planned to have Miguel stain my garage deck but ended up carpeting instead since I never received a call back from them. It's a sad day when businesses with only 3 reviews don't return phone calls. Buisness must be good for them. Repeat business and word of mouth in our small town is first and foremost. Called several times to get a pool coping resurface quote. They said they were busy and would call. They did and I spoke to a nice rep on the phone. He said we'd have a quote on Monday. Its now going on Thursday and Nada. Called the rep and text office worker as that was the preferred method of communication. Ghosted. I have money to spend. No takers I guess. Not a great start or confidence booster. I finally found the email with the Quote, but it came from "Baja Images, Corp". Very odd to get an email from "Baja Images, Corp" instead of the actual company "Clean Krete San Diego". They did tell me that was a DBA, but these are also ways to hide when things go wrong. I also looked up Baja Images, Corp finding only one review which was negative. Basically a customer had an issue with peeling and tried reaching out to them with no luck. Too many red flags for me. One thing you want to be aware of is that they message you back telling you that their minimum is $1200 on any job. A real turn off. I have no problem paying double or triple that if the follow up contact and work are good. But I would suggest you not throw minimum numbers out there to see if it is worth your time. Most people know it will be more than that for good work. Plus they wouldn't even come out and look at my job, but had no problem putting a $5600 price tag on it from two pictures I sent. To be fair they also sent a basic $1800 estimate for sand and seal, but that is not what we talked about. read more

After some initial difficulties getting through to Clean Krete, I was contacted by Manuel. He came to our home, discussed the process and options, and provided us with a very reasonable estimate. As scheduled, the workers came about a week later, sanded our concrete patio floor, put down two coats of paint and sealed it afterwards. All occurred the same day and the results were excellent. The workers were polite and cleaned up completely. It's been a couple of months since the work was performed and we are still very, very happy with the job. It's made our patio look great. I found Miguel and his company through Yelp and am glad I did. I needed some old sidewalks cleaned, stained and sealed. I also needed my back slate patio restored. Over the years, previous owners had put the wrong sealer on the patio and all that had to be removed. The two very personable crew members cleaned the slate with an organic, environmentally friendly product, pressure washed and sealed with the correct sealer. The patio really "pops" now and the sidewalks look fresh and clean. The concrete sealer they apply makes a big difference. Well I have finally found a company who was very professional and did an outstanding job on my project. The communication back and forth to agree and finalize the scope of the work was always very professional and the response times to my emails were very quick.
