My first time at this particular HTeaO, a slightly smaller store than the others, but still carried all their wonderful flavors. We made it right at happy hour 2-4pm daily for 1/2 off all drinks. Since it's self serve, it's nice you can sample before making your choice. But, my go to is none other than decaf strawberry passion. Thanks for quenching my thirst! read more

Run! Don't walk! I passed by this place all the time thinking it wasn't worth my time to stop just for tea. Boy I was wrong. I tried HTeaO when people brought it for gatherings. I was over the moon with their coconut black iced tea. We stopped in for their BOGO deal which is from 2-4pm everyday. The kids enjoyed experimenting in making their own combo of flavors. There was not one flavor I didn't like. Mango, coconut, berry, chai etc. You can't beat the prices either. Very affordable. I was waiting for Chik Fil A to come out with their once in a while seasonal watermelon iced tea and guess what? HTeaO serves it and u can buy it in jugs. I added cold milk to mine to make it like a Taiwanese tea. Turning them into ice pops would be splendid for the summer. read more

I am a frequent customer at multiple San Antonio HTeaO locations, but the utter lack of pricing consistency and poor customer service has become incredibly frustrating. On June 28th, I visited the Helotes location on with my 3-year-old. I brought three personal containers (a 40oz, a 24oz, and a 16oz) to fill with just ice and water. Depending on who is working or which location you visit (including Medical Center and Alamo Ranch), the pricing for water is completely random. Sometimes it's free, sometimes it's charged as an "open gallon" ($0.60), and sometimes it's $1.20 with a personal cup discount. On this visit, the associate tried to charge me full price for three TEAS. When I pointed out it was just ice and water, she refused to ring it up as an open gallon or apply the proper discount, demanding over $3.00 for plain water--even though the total volume was well under a single gallon. Because of her rigid refusal, I had to pour the water out while managing a toddler and with a line of customers waiting behind me. I sent a formal email to management a over a week ago giving them a chance to clarify their policy, and I have received absolutely no response. I thinks it's unacceptable to have arbitrary pricing rules that change based on who is standing at the register. Until management establishes a clear, consistent policy for guest-provided containers, be prepared to get completely different prices every time you walk in. read more

Great tea shop for iced teas, hot teas, and coffee. They also have purified water, great ice and gallons, mini gallons, and glasses of tea. So many flavors and add-ins are available. I've anxiously been awaiting this location to open for sometime and am so glad it's open! I'm so surprised at the other negative reviews. Every time I've come here the staff has been nothing but super friendly, helpful, and prompt. I only do the drive thru and haven't gone inside yet. I love getting the marfa morning breve coffee- one of my favorite coffees in town. You can get it hot or iced. As far as tea, my go to is usually the Texas chai, but they did a great seasonal variation Called the gingerbread man that is Texas chai and peach and that is delicious as well. In the summer I love the coconut tea. They have a flavor for everyone and the price is so much better than McAlister's if you're needing a tea fix! (Seriously McAlister's.... Almost $5/tea now?!) and much better tasting than sonic tea across the street. read more

We decided to go on Saturday night. Day after their official opening. It was smaller than others. Which means not as much selection. I didn't mind. The drink area wasn't clean. It could have used a wipe down. It was kinda sticky. Other than teens getting in my way of getting my drinks cause they think they are cool tiktoking of adding almost all the flavors that was there in their drink when all I wanted to do was just get my drink and get out. This is our first time here. I saw a line of people once I walked in so I told one of the staff that this is our first time. He asked the owner to show us around. A very nice lady showed us how to sample to tea so you can create your own combinations, explained the labels that show sweet and unsweet flavors. I chose unsweetened mint and combined it with unsweetened watermelon. My husband got sweet Georgia peach combined with unsweet and sweet mint. They even had complimentary limes, lemon and orange slices to add. We both love our combinations and are looking forward to going back for another refreshing combination. The tea itself is fine, but the customer service is very poor. On multiple occasions over the last year, we have been given the wrong gallon in the drive-through (once the gallon was marked sweet but was unsweet, another time we were handed an unsweet gallon and didn't notice it marked unsweet). The first time we chalked it up to a mistake, no big deal. Second time, I drove back through the drive through and when I tried to hand back the incorrect gallon, the young lady said "you don't need to return that, we are sorry for the inconvenience" and refused to accept it back. Ok that's cool. So the third time it happened with a half-gallon right before closing time and we didn't catch the mistake until the next morning. When I went back through the drive-through I explained the mistake and the young man said to pull up and they would give us the correct half-gallon. At that point a "manager" or older adult employee told the young worker that they would be unable to replace this half-gallon without seeing the incorrect half-gallon. I tried to quickly explain that in this very scenario a few months back, I was told not to bring back the gallon to which the older employee said that this might be a scam and that I'd need to drive back home and bring back the incorrect half-gallon! All of this over 4-dollars worth of tea! lol! Recently, we arrived at "happy hour" (2-4pm bogo) at 3:55 to see an extremely long line wrapped around the parking island. We waited and when we got up to order, we weren't given the happy hour discount as it was now 4:06. I mentioned we have been in line since 3:55 and the employee said that we are extremely short staffed today and apologized for the long wait but was unable to give us the happy hour discount lol! read more

Had my first experience at an HTeaO in general at this location the other day, and I was not disappointed. It's a very cute little place by my usual Half Price Books, and there's a lot to choose from in tea! You're able to make your own drink and sample flavors before you pick what you want! After you choose your tea(s) you can also pick from a selection of fruits and lemon/limes to add to it! Very interesting concept and a very nice cashier, along with a quiet and peaceful atmosphere! Been to other HteaO locations so I'm familiar with the flavors and the taste. Pretty standard offerings across all their locations. Love the ice and happy hour. Frequent this newer location since it's close to my area. After several visits, I always leave frustrated with the service in the drive thru. Last time I went it took over 8 mins from start to finish with only 2 cars in front of me. Starbucks is faster with more complexity in their menu. Other times, they mishear the order through the speaker (wrong size, wrong flavor, ect...). The concept is simple, just tea, so I'm confused why it's so hard to get the order correct and the snails pace. The staff needs better training to be more efficient. read more

I went in and tried this place out after the mad rush occasioned by the grand opening because I was curious to see just how a place that sells tea could make a business of it. First thing that struck me was how sparkling clean everything was. There were many types of teas in the numerous bubblers lined up and both sweet and unsweet varieties to choose from. Small paper sample cups are provided for those who wish to try before they buy. I looked around and saw upscale snacks, high-end coolers, and an area where dated, bottled tea is for sale by the gallon. Bottled water that has undergone triple osmosis is also for sale. Associates were eager to answer all of my many questions as well. After loading up with water and some tea, I went in to shake the snake before I left. I found the "facilities" to be as clean as the rest of the store. Since I tried and enjoyed many of the flavored teas which are sold at a fair price given these inflationary times, I've decided I will make this store my go-to beverage stop. read more

Time/day of visit was 12/17/23 2:20pm. This is the 2nd time we've been here where they have been very rude at the drive thru. We have never been to an HTeaO until this one opened up so we have no idea what they have or what we would want unless you look at the menu which you can only see when you get to the order checkpoint. The first time we were very rushed into to choosing what we wanted (and we were the only car in line). Today, the guy taking the order came on and asked us what we wanted and my husband replied "sorry I'm just looking over the menu real quick". The guy then said "can you speak up I can't hear you" so my husband repeated himself louder so he could hear. He definitely heard him the second time but yet came back with "can you repeat that again?" In a sarcastic tone as if my husband was too loud? At that point my husband didn't say anything because he was so surprised. I didn't either for the same reason. The guy taking the order then asked "do you need more time?" And my husband responded "yeah" in a normal tone, not loud at ALL, and the guy said "okay I got that" so he clearly heard my husband the second time just chose to be rude as if my husband was too loud or being rude, which he wasn't. In the end we chose not to get anything from here and we will not be returning being that this has happened twice in the same week with rude employees. read more
