The Short Version:
Great pizza place in Little Italy that sells pizza by the slice. Very reasonable prices.
A Long Version:
I like places that offer pizza by the slice, so I can try out different varieties and not have to commit to an entire pizza, lol.
My husband and I dropped in to try two slices. The prices are $4.50 for one slice, two slices for $8, two slices and a drink for $9.99, and two slices and a drink and a dipping sauce for $10.99. We opted for the two slices and a drink, especially after I saw that one of their drink offerings was a tamarind flavored Jarritos.
That day for slices we had three options pepperoni, chicken, and meat lovers. We opted for the chicken and meat lovers.
The lady serving us was very welcoming and nice she offered us a free dipping sauce to try. I chose the homemade garlic sauce, because I always prefer homemade items to mass-produced in factories items.
The pizzas were delicious. They were loaded with toppings. And the crust was very crispy. The garlic sauce was potent, and very tasty.
We enjoyed the tamarind Jarritos. We've had other flavors of Jarritos before but it was our first time trying The tamarind one.
The lady offered us water and brought us glasses filled with ice and a carafe. I love ice, so I was very happy.
My only complaint is they need to maintain their washrooms better. The washroom I went to did not have any paper towels and the toilet paper was an industrial-sized roll (you know those with a huge diameter where you can place your entire arm in the hole in the middle) just sitting on top of the dispenser. It was not installed in the industrial-style holder. They have two private-room all-genders washrooms, but one was out-of-order, which I can understand, things can need repairs, but I feel they should have stocked the functional one better.
Decor is casual. They have wooden booths and regular tables, as well as high tables. It looks like the space used up be a bar. Hoz Pizza is licensed. My husband even noticed they had signage that beer is 10% off when the temperature outside is above 28C, lol.
They have chicken wings and fries and other pub food in addition to pizza.
Glad to have tried Hoz Pizza. I would gladly return for more pizza or to try out their other items.
Street parking only.
