Scam artist. Sells seconds and returns in the gear section. Super friendly while making the sale. Then when you take the item home and find out there is a defect, he points at his marker board and says, all sales are final. I then understood why he cuts the tags off of what you buy before you leave the store. When you take things back, his attitude changes dramatically and tells you to leave the store without exchanging the item, or refunding. Zero stars would be better. read more

Do not use this company do not buy from this company. The owner of this company is a scammer. Look online and on the Better Business Bureau and more and look at the reviews on this man. Horrible customer service will say anything to get a sale will take a deposit without a signed contract and then won't give the deposit back if you figure out that he's a scammer and you come back to get your money. Steer clear of this place. read more

Don't recommend bringing your things here to get fixed. Guy that answered the phone is a complete ass. Asked for brakes to be done was told it's gonna be a 2000$ minimum without looking at it because it's more then 15 years old. Screw that. Money hungry read more

Waist of time and rip off. They sell through Facebook Marketplace. When you come to the store they show you different item. Asking you sign As Is No Warranty knowing it has mechanical issues. They charge me $20 when I purchased a tow hitch from them and returned it back in 5 min never used, cause they tryed to sell me a trailer with no working lights on it. Don't waist your time. read more

Very very disrespectful and rude customer service. Don't even think about calling this place. I wish I could give a zero star review

It took 6 days to get a simple flat tire repaired. And then when I took it back because the gears were not quite right he says they checked it when it was done and that our Townie had cheap gears. Beware of the Tailight Warranty. I'm surprised they have 1.5 stars. read more

Wow called to get an oil filter for my bike.. person was so rude.. not in stock and not ordering parts! WTF, why stay open. I see why this place has 0-1 stars. read more

We purchased a brand new 2021 dirt bike for my son for $1700 three days ago. Since then, his chain has fallen off more times than we can count, including a mere hour after the bike was purchased on his very first ride. Turns out, the $200 assembly fee we had to pay left us with an "installed" stripped tension rod that is causing this issue. Purchasing replacement parts days after buying a brand new dirt bike is ridiculous. We bought new because we didn't want a "fixer upper" but that's exactly what we got. My son saved up for a long time to buy this bike and he is incredibly disappointed that he can't even ride it.. and we're incredibly disappointed to have to pour more money into an already expensive brand new bike. read more

I drove to this location because it look like it had a lot of bikes, right when I walked into the door the guy says we have no bikes, and if you find any go buy them. I asked again some questions about some bikes for me potentially buying next year, and the guy at the from desk kept saying we have nothing in stock so it doesn't matter go buy it online. Extremely rude and I would not recommend the store to anyone. read more

I don't know what his name was but i sat on a quad and he made me get off and didn't give me a reason, it part of the showroom, no signs indicating to not sit on it, or that it was being sold. Poor customer service, overpriced vehicles, horrible experience. Generally annoyed that we were even in the shop. read more

I ordered a helmet from these jokers, and I was told it would be about a month for delivery. I paid in advance (common for special order parts, etc.), took my receipt and left. When the time came and went, and I didn't get a call back, I started calling and leaving messages. Eventually, I was told that they had no record of the order or receipt but said they would place an order that day. A few days later, I called the manufacturer. They said they had no record of any new orders from Howell Cycle. (So, again, the dealership didn't do anything...) However, the helmet company assured me that my order would ship that day, and they sent the helmet to the dealership... who then never called to let me know that it arrived. I had to call them AGAIN to find out that it was there. Maybe I'm a sucker, or maybe these guys are scammers. My advice about this place: ride on by. read more

RUDE! RUDE! RUDE! I went in to buy a bicycle and they treated me extremely rudely! They wouldn't even talk to me about ordering a new bicycle since they were getting new winter sports inventory in! Here's my advice to Howell Power Sports - DON'T ADVERTISE YOURSELVES AS A BICYCLE SHOP IF YOU ARE NOT GOING TO TALK TO SOMEONE ABOUT A BICYCLE!!! I drove 45 minutes to this store because their website looked like they had bicycles in stock...I know they are a hot commodity right now, but there is no need to be rude! Would rate a zero if it let me! read more

The worst customer service I have ever experienced. I was told that he would not even look up the price on a part unless I was gonna buy it without knowing the price. I was also told that no matter what part it was, it would at least 3 weeks out because of covid.Sounded more like a lazy employees excuse to not do his job. read more

I would rate it 0 stars if possible. Customer service at its WORST! Rude and arrogant owner. Does not follow his own return policy he has printed in his receipt. Will never shop here again and I do not recommend this store for anything. read more

If I could rate them zero stars I would. I drove over three hundred plus miles to buy a tire for my bike just to find out later it was manufactured in 2009. I then called the owner "Jim" to discuss this issue. He was very rude and basically told me not his problem. I had told him it's not right for them to sell tires of that age due to safety issues. I was under the assumption it was a brand new tire. Considering I spent $190 on it. I would not recommend doing business with them. He didn't apologize or offer a refund instead said I should have checked the date stamp on the tire. Well Jim considering you are a Kawasaki dealer I didn't think you were going to take me to the cleaners for an expired tire. read more

Zero stars! I cannot think of enough negative remarks to describe this dealer. Arrogant, dishonest and downright rude. His word means absolutely nothing once you hand your check over. Read all the other reviews. This place is horrible on a whole new level. They are rude and mean. I called in to ask a question about a bike and they told me sounds like this is not the bike for you. If you are looking to do business with Howell Motorsports, it should only be because the price of the machine you are looking at is amazing. The owner has ZERO customer service skills. Know that when you go in, you will be treated poorly, and you will not feel welcome unless you flash the cash. Even then he forgets paperwork, makes mistakes, and changes the price randomly to try and get more money from you. I caught him on this and told him I would only pay the online price. I went to 3 other ATV dealers in a 50 mile radius. No one could match the deal I got at this store but every one of them could beat him in general manners while they sleep. read more

Came from out-of-town; called ahead and understanding was per an ad that they had a few used bikes for sale. They didn't. Salespeople were very lukewarm. I waited months to write this JUST to de-escalate my frustration! Absolute DISGRACE of a company. Owner / "President" 'JIM' is an embarrassment to humanity and has ZERO business ethics. I was told "(He) has the right to fire me as a customer". Yep- you heard that right. The owner has the 'right to FIRE me as a customer'. Jim lies BLATANTLY to your face, insinuated we were stupid. Was obscenely rude in a twisted way where you realize he just called you (HIS customer) an idiot. He has a part of the brain missing that maintains common decency and curtails arrogant narcissism. The machine was a total piece, never worked from day one. Farce of an establishment. I waited MONTHS to write this review of this stomach turning experience to conjure up a clear and concise review of this embarrassment of a business without being too angry- I've cooled down for months. Don't buy- R U N ! You will be told "If something goes wrong, I'll make it right" Then (after it DOESN'T WORK ON DAY ONE. You'll hear "As-is no warranty"- no returns, & Complete refusal of the initial statement. I called about a bike they had online. Pretty obvious why they have 1.5 stars on yelp. They knew NOTHING about the bike, and refused to walk over to it and check very basic things, that can be visually assessed in seconds. No test ride, no warranty. I am warning anyone who thinks about going to here, you would be better off burning your money. We picked up a GK110 taotao go kart for my son. Brand new, took it home rode it for less than an hour. It stopped working. Call them back and was told a wire came lose check all of them you should be fine. We did that and it still doesn't work. Called back two days later, was told we could bring it in and have it looked at but would be charged parts and labor. Was told it was the ignition coil or the CDI box. We paid 50 dollars for new parts, still not running. Called back the next day and was told that's what's we get for buying a 2,000 Chinese machine, we should have spend more money. I told him that's not good customer service and after this we will never be back. He told me that was and if he loses us a customers it's fine because there are plenty behind us. It's nothing for him to sell a 20k machine. Cocky arrogant crooks! DO NOT GO THERE!!!!!!!! We have a go kart that won't run. Crooks! read more

You are the worst dealership ever. I drove 45 miles just to check out a specific bike in store which was on sale on their main website. I came in to look at a Honda CBR250R which was priced at $1,999 yesterday Sept 21st 2017, and was disrespected and your salesmen was very rude. Your salesmen told me that he thought the bike was sold and was going to be shipped to California. I asked if he could check to see if it was sold or not and he said he didn't want to waste his time with me or even want to bother to check if it was actually sold or not. Most despicable and ridiculous service ever. Maybe it's because I'm not white and it's Howell. Today I look at your website and now it's priced at $2,400 and still up for sale. Worst dealership ever. I will never give my money to racist, despicable, rude service individuals in my lifetime. If I could give -1000 stars I would. read more

I was a new rider and wanted to sit on a few bikes to "get a feel" for what might be best for me. The (sales)person was less than helpful and made me feel like I was wasting his time. Like another reviewer said, didn't thank me for stopping in or even say goodbye. One other time I called to see what time they closed. The response was: "If you get here at 5 (or 6 or whatever it was), you'll see us heading for our cars." And it was said in a very condescending tone. Not at all customer oriented. Very rude even by Michigam standards. I said to myself, "I'll never spend a dime at this place." By the way, I DID but a motorcycle, jacket, gloves and helmet - but not from these people. read more

On Sat 7/25/15 I visited this store. We drove about 45 minutes to get there because I had seen their advertisement on Craigslist for a great deal on a beautiful bicycle. I had called them a few days prior. They didn't think they had that bike in my size anymore, but encouraged me to come check out their large inventory. I'm so glad we did. As luck would have it, they DID have my size of the new 2014 Felt B16 Carbon Tri/TT bike. I got it for 1/3 off retail, meaning I got a NEW CARBON TRI bike, retailing for $1800, for only $1200!!!! Such a deal. Plus I was able to finance for 12 months interest-free for a one-time fee of $57. I spent $99 for a very through fitting plus received 15% off all accessories. I received excellent, knowledgeable, friendly service from all three salesmen who talked with me. I am very, very satisfied with Howell Cycle, and I would recommend them to anyone looking for a great deal on great bicycles. read more

Call the store was on hold for 10 min for a 5 sec question. Got a price on having my tire changed out ended up quoting me $40. Local tire shop said they would do it for $10. Spoke with the manager at Howell power sports to see if they wanted my business an asked if they would drop down the price. I explained my local tire shop would do the work cheap due to not needing it balanced etc, was told by the manager "take it to them". I will never support a penny to a company that pushes customers away. This is why the little guy never makes it in this economy. Very rude, unfriendly. Call and find out for yourself I'm sure you will agree. read more

Please heed the warnings of everyone else! I read the reviews and ignored them. I thoroughly regret ever seeing this place. Came from 3 hours away to buy a used 2007 Kawi. Absolutely no customer service. I had previously asked them to do the paperwork in someone else's name, but Jim ignored that and just did it in my name anyways (They charge a 200 dollar paperwork fee FTR). Pulled the bike around front, took my check and said you should go fill up across the street (I paid like 200 dollars for a bike service fee also BTW). I had also asked them to fix the clutch lever that was extremely stiff 5 days ahead of time. They didn't touch it. Left on the bike, got 65 miles, hit a bump on RT 23 and BOTH BATTERY TERMINALS SHEERED OFF. They were so corroded they literally just broke off on the highway leaving me and my escort stranded for 3 hours. The bike of course didn't have the factory toolkit, because that would make sense coming from here. The seat thankfully wasn't installed properly so I was able to rotate it and access the battery without tools. I also found out the horn doesn't work at this point, so they let me drive illegally. (Yes, I checked the lights and brakes before I left!) Luckily an Autozone was 4 miles away with a battery that barely fit. Got another 100 miles (after filling up a second time) and it ran out of gas and had SERIOUS CARB ISSUES. It would sputter and not accelerate and I was literally Sammy Hagar for the last 40 miles (I can't drive 55). Sorry Raquel and Justin, I should have listened to your reviews, but I was naïve and really wanted THAT motorcycle... Not worth it. read more
