We had, my boyfriend and I, the potato soup which was phenomenal. Our burgers, however, although they were good burgers, they were charged. The outer part of the burger was charged pretty badly that it made it very hard to eat the entirety of the burger. The server was very kind, and gave us a free dessert for that situation. He was very quick, which was very nice. But it did take a while to get the food and the free dessert. I'm gonna give them the benefit of the doubt, maybe it's because the restaurant was getting packed but either way. The restaurant is totally different looking, we were told that it had been renovated, which just made so much sense as to why I barely recognized it. The server(s) were cordial and attentive: from making sure our water glasses were regularly replenished, bringing lime wedges for our water and boxing our leftover meal. We enjoyed the "fall of the bone and meaty ribs", followed by freshly brewed coffee and the key line cheese cake for dessert. Le Houston, un restaurant bar grillade qui compétitionne avec le bâton rouge. Steak, hamburger, côté levé, les choses habituels de ce genre de restaurant. L'ambiance est style boite de nuit. Les serveuses sont tous bien habiller mais surtout faite pour les mettre en valeur (.... Un peu d'objectivation...). La musique est très forte peu importe où vous êtes assit même quand l'endroit n'est même pas à moitié pleine, et c'est de la musique de boîte. Côté nourriture, nous avons essayé la tempête d'artichaut et d'épinard. Elle est faite avec du fromage en crème. C'était.. Ok. Si vous aimez le fromage en crème, vous allez sûrement aimé mais on est loin de la tempête au Cheddar ou épinard du bâton rouge ou même de la trempette au fromage et épinard du elixor. Perso, c'était OK mais j'en reprendrais pas. Le menu indique que ça vient avec pain naan et tortilla. J'avais aucun pain naan. J'ai par le suite prit une portion complète de côté levé. Je dois dire qu'elle m'ont surprise. J'ai jamais raffole du Houston mais elles étaient bien cuite, tendre, chaude, la sauce était bien bonne. Bref une bonne surprise. Le tout est servit sur une genre de plaque avec des frites. Les frites étaient bien normal. Pas de bol à os, le tout sur la plaque. Ma copine a prit le filet Mignon, 6oz si je ne me trompe pas (le plus petit) avec un gratin de pomme de terre. Elle a bien aimé. Elle avait aussi un sauce style champignon, le nom m'échappe. Prendre note que la sauce n'est pas inclus, c'est 4$ pour un petit pot plus petit que celui qui contient le ketchup et la mayo... Vraiment ridicule de charger pour une sauce, encore plus de le faire à 4$! Surtout qu'on ne nous a pas dit que c'était un extra, on a juste eu comme question quel sauce? Côté service, le staff semblait assez à l'aise. Il faut dire que l'endroit n'était pas bondé. Malgré tout, j'ai trouvé qu'on était un peu ignorer ou invisible une bonne partie de la soirée. Les serveurs passaient ramasser les assiettes rapidement mais quand mon verre était vide, il passait toujours par dessus notre table sans les remplir, pichet à la main. Le dernier point est le prix. 60$ le filet Mignon et 70$ les côté levé avec la trempette. Noté qu'on a prit aucune boisson, on était à l'eau. Donc 130$ pour ce repas. Est-ce que c'était bon? Oui, mais je ne crois pas que ça vaut ce prix. À ce prix, je vais allez au keg manger encore mieux. read more

I've been here twice both times for birthdays. And honestly I dont like the place. Food is a hit or miss First time I went the food was terrible ,second time I went I shared a plate of surf and turf and it was actually good Service was horrible both times, it seems that they are low on stuff all the time. Had to ask them several times for them to bring something. It took almost more then an hour to receive food. Drinks were alright This place is very loud and not because there's a live DJ, because of the people. I did not like the vibe of this place when I went because there's alot of very drunk people. And it's not really my kind of vibe. I honestly wouldn't recommend anyone to go here, there's so many other great places in Centropolis then this place. read more

It's a cool restaurant that's sorta like a mix between a club/bar and restaurant. You'll dine like a restaurant but they have a DJ spinning throughout meals but doesn't make the place overtly noisy, can definitely still have your conversations without needing to scream at one another. Did I mention the waitresses are HOT? Dam... Food quality was definitely good, we had the NY Striploin and it was up there with the best of steakhouses. It's definitely not a quiet place so if you're younger and love the club vibe than this place is definitely a great place to hangout. Crowd's mostly working professionals and with quite some beautiful people hanging around so I'd recommend you dress up a little or might feel a little out of place. First time here and it was a nice experience. Where to start? Well, first off, the servers all look like French models. Wow. Very beautiful. And they wear revealing dresses which look classy. The meal was good (salad with seared tuna) and the atmosphere was perfect. We ate outside and the weather was a perfect 75F. I want to come back for the steaks and appetizers as they looked great but I had too much for lunch so I opted for one of the 8 or so salads. Prices are mid range which are just above the popular chains but less than a specialty chop House by far, but the quality doesn't look to be much less. I went there for a family supper. The waiters were really nice and efficient, and answered all our questions about the menu. For starters, I ordered nachos and spicy fried chicken. They were both good, but the nachos were a bit burnt and the spicy chicken was really similar to general tao, but it wasn't bad. For my main course, I had a rib steak with a side of potato puree. The steak and the sauce given with it (pepper sauce) were too salty. Usually, when I order a rib steak, I expect to really enjoy the steak, but this time, I was underwhelmed. Went here two times while I was in the area. Food was good to average depending on who you would have asked in my group, service could vary depending on your server. Sat out on the patio the first time and our server Erica was very helpful & very friendly since we didn't speak french. the second time we went in and sat at the bar, the bartender didn't speak more than a few words of english and really didn't help us that much, couldn't even order an ice t from her & there were bar backs that could speak english that cold have helped her. On the plus side, the waitresses here are very attractive, and so are the female customers that are all around, so sit out on the patio if it's nice & enjoy the scenery even if you can't order what you want. read more

Wait staff lingering in back staff area despite a full house & very busy. His burger came out charred, dry, over cooked, and cold, and well undersized in relation to the bun. Giving it two stars for our server, who was super efficient, and for their creative menu. But for the price I paid, I could have experienced better. I started out with the calamari. They were okay - kind of bland and too greasy for my taste, but they were calamari and I firmly believe there is no such thing as bad calamari. As my main dish, I had the Bison Burger with a side of sweet potato fries. I was really, irrationally excited for this burger. It sounded so deliciously amazing on the menu, but when I got it, I was underwhelmed. Maybe I built it up too much in my mind? Either way, I found it to be super tasteless, bland. It was almost like the meat overpowered all the other flavours - but seeing as the meat lacked flavour too, you were kind of just chewing textures. 20,000 square feet of cavernous warehouse space dotted with red lights suggests this place totally devoid of character, until you see the patrons - strippers and guys with tribal sleeve tattoos and Tapout shirts that make you think you're stuck in Vegas circa 2005. The waitstaff are friendly but the food is totally hit or miss. The sliders were dry and rubbery, but the shrimp salad was excellent. The burger seemed OK, but the ribs looked like a lump of loose stool. Overall, not much else to say. This place is part of a suburban strip-mall-complex designed to jam as many people in and feed their gaping maws as they watch hockey games and listen to J. Lo and Pitbull at full volume. We came here after buying a gift card at Costco. The waiter was super nice and did a great job serving us except that he was kind of slow (e.g.: it took him 10 min to serve us our water). We had the calamari as an entrance and it still tasted a little bit of flour and it was kind blend. The quantity was also not generous. After that my mom and I had the cote levee au jus and my side was the all dressed baked potato and she had the house salad. The meat was also rather blend and the texture was not that pleasant. I asked for rare but it tasted more like medium rare and the baked potato tasted like complete shit. My mom salad did not look or tasted fresh and it was for some reason extremely oily. We wont be coming back but it is kind of a shame that the taste doesnt match with the excellent service. read more

Had supper here last night with a group of around 20 people seated at 3 tables. The restaurant was extremely dark. Our drinks came quickly and the waitress took our order 20 minutes after we arrived (8 p.m). My brother and his wife arrived at 8:30 and ordered drinks and food. At 9:00 we still hadn't received our entrees, salads, or anything when my cousin and his wife arrived and ordered. An hour and a half after we had originally ordered we received our meals, with the justification being that they wanted us to get our food at the same time as the last people to arrive -- when really, by the time the last people arrived at our table (nearly an hour after we ordered) we should already have had our food! The other 2 tables in our party were finished eating before we received our mains. My plate (sirloin with mushrooms) came with no mushrooms, sent it back, came back with some lukewarm mushrooms dumped on top. The mushrooms were the only reason I ordered this over another plate, and I was definitely underwhelmed. Steak (very rare) was ok *side note - steak knives were completely dull*. After an hour and a half wait (I had no appetizers) I was starving so anything should have been fine, but the food was really nothing special. Didn't finish my plate. We complained to the manager who then sent over some shots as an apology for our meal showing up an hour after everyone else's.... Really? Half our table was driving and not drinking, this was a half-assed excuse of an apology. Overall I spent $60 for a so-so meal and shitty experience, will not be going back. read more

Decor is very nice and appropriate for a steakhouse -- but the 37" plasmas all around are more Cage Aux Sports territory. A big, thorough cleanup is needed as you can pickup dust on the cubicle sidings easily, and fingermarks are all over. Service is great and very friendly. I would prefer seeing a hostess a little bit more appropriate (ours was 16 and was never told to "stand up straight"... Typical youth), could change the overall impression we get of the place. Food was excellent-- I chose ribs (half rack) and though the cooking was awesome, they were a little bit too fruity for my taste. Would be an excellent idea to have a choice of sauces. Fries were awesome. A bit on the pricey side, but compared to a lot of places, Houston's is on the right track. 3-1/2*. read more

The service was impeccable. We had oysters as our appetizers. They were reasonably priced for a dozen. The oysters would taste better without the specs of salmon tartar on top but that's just my personal preference. The main steak dishes were slightly disappointing. We took a chance to order the prime rib steak at 9pm. The meat wasn't as tender , in fact it on the tougher side, but our server quickly provided us another suggestion and replaced it with a rib steak which was better. I had the sirloin with seafood topper. The steak was good but needed more seasoning. Was not a fan of the seafood topper which has lobster bisque flavour with small scallops and tiny shrimps. I did not enjoy the potato gratin, there was too much cheese . Overall the ambiance was nice. I would probably come again for the traditional steak dishes. Our bill with two cocktails, two glasses of wine, oysters and two main steak dishes cost us about $170. read more

If anyone has been to Earls out west or Moxies then this is definitely a "Quebec version". Mostly all young attractive women wearing some kind of "business sexy" black outfits in heels and mostly men 40's + crowd as patrons. It was business lunch so I ordered a Thai Chicken salad which was very nice! The person I was with ordered a Red tuna salad. His came out with a nice huge piece of Tuna. I went here with my wife and the restaurant's decor and ambiance are pretty good. We shared calamari and beef tartare. Both were pretty good but then I had the sirloin steak with seafood. The seafood topping was supposed to be a bisque. It wasnt great, but edible. I couldn't finish the steak itself. It was chewy and had what I think was a large vein. That's not what I expect for a $35 steak. The best thing on the plate were the mashed potatoes...I've had sirloin many times and this was by far the worst I've ever had. If you plan on going, stay away from the steaks. There are way better steakhouses that age their meat making them tender, and at the same price as houstons. read more

Our office Xmas party was a success ! We're 24 and no Body complaint. Nice decoration, sexy and nice waitresses. We're nicely served by Patricia, the food was delicious, the portion was just perfect. It was a bit too noisy beside the bar! Over all it good ! read more
