Déco très boisé que se soit les murs ou le mobilier. Très jolie resto et sans compter l'immense fumoir. important faut aimer les tradionnelles classique des fumoirs texans. De plus j'ai pas goûté a leur hamburger. Je crois que si ont viens ici c'est sûrement pour la partie mais ils avaient l'air bon. Je suis pas venu pour cela. Je suis venu pour leur fumoirs !!! I'm a die hard fan of Jack flat bbq since it's opening. But with the new menu, many thing change. The first thing you'll notice in that new menu is the daily special? Gone. . No more wonderful steak Philly on the Friday. Most of what was offered on that daily menu is permanently gone. They added many different poutine that actually existed before but part of a secret menu you could learn from their social network page. Some starter too. They change the recipe of some of the food. The Mac N cheese is now more creamier and the cheese is more present and flavourful. I never had it by itself, but in the poutine Mac TeX, it's a miss for me. It used to be the poutine I always take when I go there, poutine Mac TeX. Tried it 4 times already since the switch, always the same and I don't like it unfortunately. Maybe others don't. From the post they made on Instagram stating that it was now creamier due to popular demand, I guess that's how people like it. But I think people was taking it by itself and not into a poutine (I never see much people eating a mac te when I'm there). Also the new Mac N cheese on the Mac TeX make it you taste nothing except the creamy liquid cheese from the Mac N cheese, nothing else. I normally add the homemade steak sauce available on the table in the poutine and when I tried it with the new recipe, it wasn't good. I also trie the dirty Poutine. I totally forgot what it is. There's like 2 sauce, I think it's meat sauce? Sorry I really forget. It was good, but about half way through, I was done with the taste just like the current Mac TeX. I still finished it though. Again, it's not bad, everyone has different taste and I started by liking it. I had the same experience when eating the smashburger poutine after eating a smash burger. Don't do it, take either one, not both unless your really into the taste of smashburger cause that's the only thing you taste. Last time I went, I took again the smashburger double cheese and bacon, a must for me, and I took a regular poutine. First time in what, 2 years and at least 30 visit that I take the regular one. It was good. I do miss my og Mac TeX but it's a good replacement. The bonus is it cost about 10$ less and fill less, so I was able to take something off the desert menu for the first time. I toon the chocolate cake and it was very good. The service is always good when I go there. It might be a bit a miss when it's overbooked specially if your table is hidden In a corner (happened a bit in the past). The only reason I bring from 5 to 4 stars is only because I prefered the old menu and old recipe. I did talk to a staff last time about the Mac TeX recipe and was told sometime it's because of new chef. I guess he wasn't aware that the recipe actually change, he did seemed new since I hadn't seen him before. I'll talk to jack or one of the owner last time, not to bad mouth, simply to have feedback from customer on the menu. read more

A group of 9 of us went to Jack Flat as a dinner and we all agreed for the Ranch Meal! The table ended up with 2 platters of: 1/2lb ribs, 1/2lb brisket, 1/2lb turkey, 1/2lb pork belly, 1 corn waffle (cut in 4), pickles and pickled onions AND ALSO: chicken wings, Mac n cheese, Caesar salad, fries, chicken tenders and coleslaw!!! Ea h item had real different flavors while keeping the smoky theme everywhere! Nothing was too salty, or over powering. I do have to say the 9 of us could not finish everything!! The difference fro The Rodeo to the Ranch is your ADDED CHOICE of: extra meat, a cheeseburger per person, or dessert. The dessert was a nice palate cleanser but nothing super special. The staff were not great at being attentive and the music was so loud there were multiple drinks and desserts ordered incorrectly (but people were happy overall). Recently came here with a group of friends!! Love the ambiance super country and western Vibes with our waiters and hostess in cowboy themed outfits. As you enter, it feels like you're entering a ranch and it resembles a lot of a texas smoke BBQ joint!! Food: alright... I felt the food was lacking flavour and a tad overcooked... Best meals were the pork belly , and the roast beef otherwise the wings were ok and the sausage was ok too.. the cauliflower was undercooked I felt like they just blanch it for 2 minutes and add spices.. not roasted at all... the coleslaw was good.. salad ok and green string beans were good too. Drinks were phenomenal... I really enjoyed the luke combs yuuumyy it was deelish and the dirty martinis were made incredible! We've heard a lot about @jackflatbbq since it's opening only a few months ago and we were immidiately curious to try what they could create with that impressive smoker. We were blown away by the perfect, melt-off-the-bone ribs, tender, juicy, expertly seasoned burgers and tantalizing chili and sides. Not to mention the country vibe which we throughly enjoyed (We did wear our stuff) and the beautiful drinks menu with all the right bourbons to fit wonderfully with the theme.
