When I first got the plant
    Ashtyn P.

2 stars for the health of the plant when I picked it up and the variety of plants they offer (mostly outdoor) However; every EVERY PLANT I got from this location (3) Was infested with white flies (2 of the 3) and the other with mealy bugs. Unfortunate Probably will never go back. It's been a battle trying to save my little plant babies who are all indoor.

Do not come to this store. It only took 5 minutes and two cars including mine got broken into and robbed. The manager, Richard Warren, is both helpless and incompetent. There was no help offered from the store. Customers should NOT feel safe coming to this place.

This place is a rip off! I purchased 5 plants for $9.99 and went back to get 5 more and they charged $16.99 for the exact same plant at a different location. It was not a sale or special item. This is how they rip you off, they put the exact same plant in a larger container and charge more money. Be extremely careful shopping here! They say better plants for less, but buyer beware! That is false advertising! Go to Home Depot or Lowe's instead. When I called Matt Hopper they pretty much told me to F#*k off because of their "all sales are final and no refunds or exchanges" I will never shop there again!

Staff is rude on the phone... when I called the other day the lady was abrupt and rude regarding my questions on the business. I was trying to understand if I can find a certain plant for my business that sprays water at people... they seem to spend more money on advertising on the local TV stations... one commercial even had monkeys, which makes this place look like a circus. I prefer to call this place the "Houston Circus Center" due to the logo of the circus tent and people who don't know how be courteous and are clowns running this business to the ground... this business will not last in the next 5 years or so...

Nope! Customer service was appalling. Even the manager was rude. This is the location at I-10 and the beltway.

All in all, I purchased a palm, two bougainvillea, some flowers, potting soil and some natural mosquito repellent for my yard for $50.

I went here for the 1st time about 2 weeks ago just looking, with one specific thing in mind I wanted to buy but expectations low (I'll get into that later). I did end up getting a small basil plant, and then a bigger tomato plant. Spent less then $7 and both plants are still doing good. They sell a huge variety of items, and definitely a spot to get more rare items. So initially I came across this place by googling what places might have butterfly pea and people mentioned getting it here here. Mind you though the posts I saw on fb were over 7 months old so I figured depending on season I might be out of luck, and so I went with low hopes the first time I went and they had none. (Wonderful selection just not what I was looking for, plus I had people waiting in the car for me so I didnt really get to look more in depth into all the plants.) I did ask though as I was checking out if they would be getting some anytime soon (I really didnt want to try growing some myself from seedlings) and the lady said they should in a few weeks and even gave me a card in the case I wanted to call ahead to see if they had any. Well she wasn't lying cause I went back today and they had the plant I wanted in stock! It was an impromptu kind of trip so I didnt bother to call ahead, so I was pleasantly surprised to see it as I walked in. Also walked out with a "dragons breath" and my parter walked out with a "mexican bird of paradise" and a "boxwood basil" which we had yet to see and the few other nursery/garden stores we had been to. We'll be back every now and then to see what other unique plants we can get. 2 pics show the bigger plants we got that we repotted as soon as we got home

Walking in here is like walking into a Zen garden. Also the top-notch service. I met Sydney today at their physical location and she was so helpful and knowledgeable. I met this company three weeks ago at the Lynn Market Square here in downtown and I bought a peace lily. I liked it so much. I want to go buy another one. I like how they prep it and put it with water in a vase. Such a great look at my high-rise. I love it.! The customer service again is top-notch. Sydney was the best. The space they have here is one of the most peaceful nice places you'll ever visit. The energy here is good and real! I'm gonna make this one of my go to places to get flowers, and things of that nature. The easiest five star review I've done in a long time! If you follow me, I suggest you stop in and pay them a visit.

Then the order doesn't arrive per tracking and I see that it didn't receive any postage. I'm so irritated at this point I cancel the order and she has the nerve to still charge shipping per their "policy". So she's willing to continue to foot the cost of reshipping plus a "gift" but not to do the decent thing and refund the shipping for an order they dropped the ball on...The way I view this they didn't apply the 20$ I paid for shipping to ship it so that's theft. Really gross and disappointing behavior.

A few years ago, I stumbled upon Twisted Arrow Goods when they had a pop up in Forth & Nomad (when they had newly opened in the Heights). I was intrigued by the beautiful leather wallets, curious about the leather patina (the darkening and aging of leather over time). There was a neat strip next to the wallets, like you'd find in the paint section of a store, with patches demonstrating the different shades of aging leather -- from pink to maple to a beautiful deep brown. I called the store about a week later to inquire about the wallets and they sent me to the newly opened brick & mortar for Twisted Arrow Goods, off 34th. My first purchase was a gift: a classic bi-fold wallet with embossed initials added, free of charge. I met Clay, the owner, for the first time and was amazed. He's friendly, informative, honest, and a true local. He shared his thoughts on local farmers markets and gave me a few recommendations of spots to check out. You can still find Twisted Arrow Goods at a few around the greater Houston area. Plus, customer service? Well Clay is a super star when it comes to customer service. He's responsive, caring, involved, and has best intentions in mind. I've had to repair one of my items and modify another and it's truly a hassle free process. He makes wonderful recommendations and isn't pushy with sales in any way. He's excited by the items in the shop and he is passionate about his work, a borderline perfectionist. Clay welcomes folks to watch him work and is willing to teach folks who are curious about the trade. I've not met many business owners who love what they do the way Clay does. If you feel so inclined, check out the the company on their socials (very active on Instagram). You can also place orders online for shipping and/or in store pick-up. Bonus: sometimes, if you catch the right day, there are pups at the shop! Since that first purchase, I have now acquired: a custom backpack purse, a custom long wallet, a custom glasses case, the jordan stitch-less pouch, the brooke wallet purse, the mitchell mouse pad, a custom laptop cover, coasters, and many, many candles (Juniper and Cashmere is my personal favorite). To say that I am a fan would be an understatement. Support local - check em out!
