Believe he is the tech and owner. Seems like a bright guy and I love to support small businesses. Initial thought was a corrupt windows issue. $40 diagnostic. Issue was more complex. Ended up replacing the motherboard, cpu, fan, and upgrading the ssd. Total new money $730 of which I think $180. Not sure if it is a fair/good/great deal? Updated what was allowed today but system is requiring me to activate windows for which I was not given a key. Awaiting response via online chat as computer is not functional as is. They knew immediately what was going on and had me bring the drive in. It was failing hard, and we were not sure if the 2 TB of data would be salvageable. They ended up getting something like 99.9% of the data off the drive with minimal corruption -- I haven't gone through all 2 TB but so far I haven't found anything corrupted. It was just over $200 to get the data off the drive, which included a new WD Passport drive. Well worth regaining 5+ years of archived projects and photos. High fives all around. Bonus: They remembered my name every time I talked to them! Great customer service.
