At times, we were so discouraged and ready to give up. Thanks to Atiyeh, we found our dream home and have enjoyed it immensely. We were quickly contacted by Atiyeh Cassidy who presented as warm, personal and knowledgeable, without any pressure whatsoever. Throughout every stage of the process Atiyeh was ALWAYS available for support and guidance. Saying she was a pleasure to work with would be an understatement. There were many times where it felt like we were her only clients due to her dedication and commitment to our sale. She would usually stick around after visits or stay on the phone to get to know us better and reassure us every step of the way. I really can't say enough how much we appreciated her hard work and expertise. Had we not moved out of Massachusetts we would undoubtedly solicit her services for any future homesales or purchases. I cannot recommend Atiyeh and her team enough.

But each individual's life and experiences are their own, and my experience has been very different. Management is incredibly responsive and attentive to tenant needs. The units are very nicely re-appointed and refreshed when they turn over to new tenants. Maintenance crews are efficient, skilled, and friendly. Some have been caring for their buildings for decades. Finally, Heath introduced an online rental platform that creates flexible payment options for apartment units and, where applicable, paid parking spots. As with anything - results may vary. Everything went smoothly and Jim was able to negotiate a little later move-in date for us. Unfortunately, a few days after we signed the lease, we had an incident in the neighborhood and decided that we did not want to remain in that town. Jim Marr informed me that the landlord would not return my last month's rent and began insisting that I had given them the first month's rent, which was not true. Now I am embroiled in a complicated and expensive legal process to attempt to retrieve at least part of the money I left with them. Overall, I found the experience to be completely disheartening. We're not talking about telling the landlord a day or two before moving in and then backing out - it was 11 days before we were scheduled to move and he's made no reasonable effort to re-rent the apartment. Do yourselves a favor and stay away! If you have ANY kind of issue where you can't take an apartment from them, they'll make sure you don't get your money back!

If you're an engineer type like me, he'll give you a spreadsheet market analysis, if you are are more mood and feel, he will speak to that. 5) Great negotiator 6) Super punctual and responsive, we pulled off a 30-day closing window which wouldn't have been possible w/o Rich's professionalism I could go on. The confusing part is that they post a lot on craigslist so if you respond to one of them they get the info they need from you and set up a ton of viewings. When I moved to the Throp I had no idea how to even look, the owner (i think) was great. He will bring you around in the Rent Connection vehicle to as many apartments he lists within your budget. I saw about 10 of them in one day and by the end, i took out my checkbook, paid th fee (half months rent) and the first and last months rent. They also do all lease things, so you sign the lease etc and may never meet the landlord unless you want to. On the other side of things, I was looking for a tenant and they found me a suitable one fairly quickly for the amount of rent we were seeking. Again, they arrange the lease and move in and all costs + first and last months etc. As a landlord you would still pay I think half months rent.

Stephanie not only replied to my inquires about apartments, but she composed a list of dozens of units that matched what I was looking for. She also was able to show me the ones I wanted to see on a holiday weekend. I went to their office that day and signed for an apartment. The fee for the credit check and the deposit for the apartment are completely normal and to be expected. I was approved for the apartment within the week. I think a lot of negative reviews are based on not being aware that a deposit takes a unit off the market, and if you decide you don't want it after you apply, you lose that deposit. This is normal for all big cities in the northeast. There is no application fee, it is for the credit check, which is also normal. Be aware of your rights, but also know what is realistic and what is not when looking for apartments.
