I had some lower back issues developing and knew that exercising would help greatly. I had heard things both good and bad about CrossFit over the years and didn't quite know what to expect. Immediately Brandon put my mind at ease during orientation. All of the coaches really care, and they pay special attention if anyone has any injuries. They help modify any workout to make sure you grow in strength but keep sound mechanics the entire time. This is not a CrossFit gym where everything is hyper competitive and injuries abound. Rather, this is a gym where you will get stronger, enjoy camaraderie with others, and be encouraged to compare to your past performance not others. CrossFit Heath has turned out to be a real blessing in my life and I'm super thankful to have found it when I did.

The workouts are intense but scaled to each individual so everyone can do a Crossfit workout. The coaches at CFR are fantastic. They are all certified and really understand how to help each person do the best they can without pushing beyond what is safe. I have never been as fit as I am today and I am more motivated than I was the first day I walked in the door. Today, just about every workout facility follows a Crossfit type program, functional fitness, interval training etc. The difference with Crossfit and especially Crossfit Rockwall is the community. The people at CFR are fantastic, very supportive and make it something you look forward to. If you are looking for a place that will really make a difference in your fitness, this is it. They've also recently changed the layout to accommodate for the different types of workouts. I've been a member of the YMCA, 24 hour fitness and Planet Fitness and this location offers ample floor space for ppl to simply stretch and/or do core workouts in lieu of having to navigate around equipment and/or infringing on a class like at the Y. I value things like that. They also offer different variations of leg, core, upper body strength training equipment so you don't have to constantly wait for machines like I've found at other locations. Now this may happen from time to time during peak hours but Ive found that the mornings it is a good crowd but not overwhelming. Women's locker area and bathrooms are clean. I wish they had saunas but there's not much more I would change, especially at this great price point! I did take off a point because outside of the app and/or occasional notes on the door, there's been times the gym has closed for emergencies which is an inconvenience when I'm not notified. Wish there was something they could send through the app??? In any case, I like PF and would recommend them.

After a serious fall that resulted in a torn MCL and meniscus, I was referred by the ER to an orthopedic surgeon. My insurance required a referral from my primary care provider, Dr. Gonino. Because this happened after hours on a Friday, I had to wait until Monday to contact the office. When I called, I spoke with Jessica, who told me she had "50 other faxes to go through" and would "get to it when she could." I explained that I was in severe pain, mostly bedridden, and that the orthopedic office had an opening the next day but she was dismissive, rude, and completely lacking in empathy. Two days later, I followed up again and was told the same thing. I asked to speak to the office manager, Anita, and left a voicemail that was never returned not that day, not that week, and not even three weeks later. I eventually sent a detailed email to Dr. Gonino's nurse explaining the situation, which included the fact that my insurance company had also been calling and leaving messages for three days. Within minutes of that email, Jessica suddenly called to say the referral was complete. By then, I had already missed my earliest orthopedic appointment and was forced to pay out-of-pocket to be seen sooner because of the delay. This entire experience was shocking and unacceptable, especially considering that I had followed Dr. Gonino's instruction from my first visit to not have any imaging (like MRIs or X-rays) without consulting him first. But when I actually needed urgent care, his office made it nearly impossible to get help. When I later tried to address the situation and provide feedback, I was told I'd need to make an appointment just to discuss how I was treated which felt ridiculous. For context, I suffer from a rare autoimmune disease and initially chose Dr. Gonino because his approach seemed holistic and compassionate. Unfortunately, my experience showed otherwise. The office seems far more focused on selling "extra" services and tests (many of which are not filed with insurance) than on providing timely, patient-centered care. I personally spent over $1,500 on tests that, in hindsight, had nothing to do with the issues I came in for. Ultimately, I had to involve my insurance company, which was so concerned by what happened that they initiated their own complaint against this office. This was a deeply disappointing experience from a doctor I initially trusted. I hope the office takes this feedback seriously and improves communication, empathy, and urgency--especially when patients are in pain or facing medical emergencies.

I have to pay out of pocket $210 because they are out of network. And to be treated the way they do is absolutely unacceptable!! Don't go there!!!
