This gym is in a great location and has a lot to offer, which is why it's been one of the better…read moregyms in the area for years. However, over time it has become extremely crowded. It feels like they continue adding new members even though the gym is already packed no matter the day or time you go. It can make workouts frustrating and difficult to fully enjoy. One thing I also didn't appreciate was the constant news channels playing in the cardio room. Many people go to the gym to de-stress and take a break from world events, so having news on all the TVs takes away from that atmosphere. Most gyms usually play sports or music instead. If news channels are going to be shown, it would be better to include a variety of viewpoints rather than only one-sided coverage. Unfortunately, we ended up leaving the gym for several reasons. Another frustrating experience was the cancellation process. Even after going in person and signing the cancellation paperwork, my card continued to be charged, and it was not easy getting the membership properly canceled.

After two years, this facility still meets all my initial requirements. When I joined, the owner of the gym, Frizz Poe, provided her cell phone in the event I ever need to contact her. I enjoy 24/7 access, and member safety is enhanced by 24/7 monitoring. If someone is looking for training assistance, licensed trainers are available for consultation. Unlike any gym I have ever joined, there is also a licensed physical therapist, Russell Darrington of Phoenix Osteopractic Physical Therapy, located onsite. This is not a "Big Box" fitness center, so like anything else, you get what you pay for. The gym is not overcrowded, and all the members here are friendly and courteous.

I was willing to drive 20+ minutes three days per week because I loved my trainer ! My trainer ended employment there recently and I called to end my membership . I received a call back from Frizz who proceeded to speak very negatively about my trainer . I was shocked and disappointed that she, as a business owner would speak so negatively about someone I hold in high regard! This gym is not a huge chain where the faces are unfamiliar or you feel like you're just another member. The trainers and other staff members take the time to get to know you, and it has a very supportive atmosphere. At any given time you can see people of all ages and abilities working out, and no one is made to feel as though they don't belong. The trainers have helped me to restart my fitness journey and have made the beginning as "easy" as possible. They are very knowledgable and don't mind answering whatever questions arise. I had to go in to "sign my paper work" in order to cancel my membership and ended up leaving without a resolution. She then decided to called me afterward to 'be nice'--but honestly, it came off as forced and insincere. It only took about 15 seconds for her facade to wear off during that call. Aside from today's communication, I've had multiple interactions with her over the phone, and each time she was just as dismissive and unpleasant. Customer service is key, and unfortunately, Natalie completely failed in this regard. I won't be returning. Stacy, the owner, on the other hand was able to help rectify my situation.

I appreciate that it has 4 lanes versus the three at the Sachse location, and it seems like the early morning spin instructor on Saturdays is super friendly/ draws a good crowd. When I tried to find a spin bike, many of them in the studio were broken in various ways. It seems like maintenance and cleaning are chief concerns for this location. Temper your expectations about the pool before coming and shower well after. Also watch out for British Swim School which comes in and takes over with lessons during certain hours.

But what makes this gym different is the manager... Kyle Tatum. He cares so much more about you than your money, which is hard to find in gyms today. If you are sick, or not coming Kyle will check in with you to make sure nothing is preventing you from coming to the gym and that you are happy with the gym. I have never come in and seen dirty equipment or seen machines broken. He takes a lot of pride in ensuring that his gym is the cleanest and most functional in the area and he wants your experience to be like none other. I have been a member of the other and other cheaper clubs in the area and will never go back after experiencing this location with Tyler. I cannot speak for another Anytime Fitness locations.... only this one ...and this one has impressed me beyond any other large full-service gyms Rockwall. Also, for the ladies out there...ine of the things that is important to me as a female going to the gym was to not be harassed when I am there and the lighting in the parking lot area to be good after dark when I cone and go. Before I signed up I expressed this to Kyle and he assured me that would not be a problem and if I ever had an issue to let him know the because he would not tolerate either of those things.
