Everyone was so kind and welcoming when I arrived, and you can tell that the instructors are knowledgeable. Things were a little different than I am used to with teaching fascially, but it was a nice change and I liked how different the moves felt on my body. Cody was patient and provided modifications where needed so all of the class felt included and able to participate. However, I had to relocate from the area for work and could not complete my sessions, so I canceled my membership and the remaining private training sessions. Fast forward to this week, my checking account was charged without permission, and when contacting the gym, I was told this was because of new ownership. My problem, however, is that they should not have authorized any charges, given that I canceled my membership over a year ago. When calling to request documentation and proof that I would receive a refund, I was told I "lacked patience" and would have to wait. This is highly unprofessional and illegal. I would be weary of joining this gym as they conduct business poorly.

I was excited to start using my Groupon, but for some reason the management made it very difficult for me to do so. The instructions were to go to their website and sign up for all of your courses. I logged in and created the entire class schedule I wanted. It was very convenient until one day when I received an email from the studio saying they deleted all of my future reservations due to a new policy they were implementing regarding Groupon purchasers. I was told that I needed to re-register for each week every Sunday. So not only was my nice schedule I had carefully created gone but now I had to sign on weekly and hope the classes I was previously registered for weren't full by the time I re-booked them. Talk about inconvenience! I was very turned off by this as it did not seem they were catering to the customers but rather to their own convenience. There were also multiple occasions where I signed up for a class and then received an email right before it saying it had been canceled. The management seemed unorganized which gives the customer the impression that this place is unprofessional. That being said- the actual classes were great! I burned tons of calories in Zumba while simultaneously learning that I truly do possess no rhythm once so ever during Stiletto Strut. The instructors put you at ease and really teach you how to have fun while getting a great workout. I truly enjoyed every class I attended. They also offered specialty classes for different occasions such as Valentine's Day. To sum up this place- the instructors are great, you get a great workout and they are fun and knowledgeable. I've been to about a dozen classes since, all of the "Sexy Fit" variety. The regular instructors I've had are top notch. HOWEVER there's one who subs in sometimes who knows her stuff, but makes her up her routine in the middle of class and often confuses herself (and us) while trying to walk us through the routine! If not for that I probably would have awarded this place five stars. Sorry. If you're interested in just trying out a Sexy FIt class or two, they offer drop-in classes in the realm of 15 or so dollars. And to get the most bang for your buck, heed the following... Best workouts for: STRENGTH:: PoleworX As of reviewing the class was scheduled only once a week, Tuesdays at 7:30pm. Crystal, the instructor, is super peppy and leads you through an energizing dance aerobics warm-up, and then a series of strength drills using the wall, chair, and occasionally the pole itself. It was really cool to learn new exercises that I can do at home (with the exception of the ones using the pole, of course). The main area of improvement for this class is that difficulty varies by week and by whoever's attending; one session I went to was significantly less strenuous than the other sessions, I think because there were a lot of first-timers who were discouraged by the initial difficulty of some of the exercises early on in the class. CARDIO:: Zumba Me 5 minutes into this class: "Holy crap I don't know why I thought this was a good idea I am not a dancer does this instructor lady ever stop moving" My thoughts at the end: "Holy crap I am still not a dancer but I am COVERED IN SWEAT and I'm going to be sore tomorrow". I don't know the instructor's name, but she is DYNAMITE. Her energy is amazing, and as a consequence so are the classes. I attended two of these, and the music each week is the same or very similar, but that was very helpful to me because, as I mentioned earlier, I am NOT a dancer--choreography is not my thing, and memorizing moves is painful and embarrassing. However, for each brief song, there are only a handful of characteristic moves, so I spent maybe only 80% of the song fumbling and the last 20% actually "getting" what was going on. But really, the best part of the class is that there's no judgment here (and this goes for the rest of the classes the studio offers as well)--you do what you can, earnestly and energetically, and that's good enough. Other classes: Lapdance: Lakita usually teaches this, I'm told, but she's only taught 1/3 of these classes I attended and she was SO friendly and supportive. Moreover, she offered crystal-clear guidance/instructions. Main caveats to this class: 1) I personally found the stiletto strut (jauntily walking across the room in heels) at the beginning a bit annoying. I am not an athlete by any means but I guess my mindset in this case comes close to one--namely, if I wanted to practice walking in heels (and get some kind of workout in them, presumably), I would have signed up for the actual "Stiletto Strut" class. 2) In Lakita's class the music was TOO LOUD. Bring earplugs. I'm serious. I was covering my ears for as much of the class as I could. Pole Prelude Kind of a fun little intro class to what you can do with the pole-- good for beginners, but not much of a workout. Sensual Pole Flow I only attended one of these, but loved it! My hips were sore the next day in places I didn't even know I had muscle, which is awesome. It's also a good class to try and master some of the trickier moves that require some more coordination.

Walking into the gym, I was greeted by friendly and helpful staff. They told me there were lockers with key locks available. Just give your drivers license to them, and they can loan you a temporary card to insert into the locker to use the key lock. You will get your drivers license back when you leave. The locker room was spacious, bathroom was clean, showers were available, and water fountains/water filling stations were there to quench your thirst. The gym itself was bright and spacious. It's got all the equipment needed to work out. Free weights, a leg press machine, free standing weight machines, treadmills, ellipticals, kettle bells, stability balls, medicine balls. Well, I'm sure I've forgotten something. It wasn't packed at all when I came here, which I liked. I was free to use any and all equipment for as long as I needed to. If you're really ambitious, they do offer CrossFit classes at different pricing packages. I, myself, have an aversion to CrossFit. In my opinion, it feels like cardio and weightlifting done too quickly without enough rest in between, which can have the potential to cause an injury. Overall, though, I think this gym will be a regular spot to get some serious working out done.

Alanna invited numerous locals to participate in a shop small, shop local event, and advertised it in a magazine. Really community focused :) . It was such fun! The space is lovely - both the foyer as well as the actual hot room (that wasn't heated during the market). There's high ceilings, LOTS of natural daylight, and mirrors on two walls - pretty awesome for a fitness center! Also, we couldn't help but notice how clean the rest rooms are - which have 2 showers (apparently in the men's room too). I sold a lot of my items at the market, and also enjoyed meeting other vendors. Alanna scheduled a wine night for the studio on Dec 20th and I'll be coming in with friends to take 6:30pm inferno hot Pilates, and then stay around for wine night! Fun, fun, fun :)

It helped me cultivate my practice, and for that, i will always be grateful. It's a great place for beginners to get a solid foundation to grow and learn. That's pretty important if you are interested in continuing to go deeper in your practice. But that's not always everyones goal. The prices have gone up since I last came here before the pandemic, but that's every studio. Grace, the owner, just opened this new location in the same shopping center as the previous location. I give Grace tons of credit for doing her very best to cultivate a real yoga community. There are always challenges, guest teachers, and theme classes going on to mix it up. There is a nice mix of slower flow and yin classes and more advanced classes like hot power flow. But the classes are not as frequent. It is likely intentional for business purposes. There are also some classes offered as both online and in person, which is a nice touch for those that either don't want to come face to face due to covid or can't make it in time for in person class. I just got a bundle of classes, so I'm coming back more frequently. It's far from where I actually live, so it may be short-lived. But it's nice to be back on my mat. Namaste.

I started with the "flow basics" classes that are slow, purposeful movement with lots of explanation. There were people in that class from age 20s to 80s. You do not have to have ANY experience to take that class and the instructors are great at explaining each pose and corrections you need to make. After some practice, I wanted more of a challenge and went to "flow" classes which move faster. Then I began practicing daily to sometimes twice a day during COVID and now love the power flow classes. The instructors are GREAT. Some move faster, some slower. Some instructors incorporate more advanced poses and some stick to the basics. You can try each one out and figure out who you feel most comfortable with and whose style best fits yours. My favorite instructors: Grace, because I like how her classes flow and she's great about explaining the small adjustments that I should be making in my form and practice. Rashad because of his gentle giant nature. He does simple and straight forward flow classes which are just my speed and style! Georgia because even though she can clearly do any yoga pose and is extremely flexible, she modifies her yoga practice to be accessible to anyone. And I love Jess, Lesley, Amy, Dominique, Jeffrey... really they are all great and each have their own style. I also love that the yoga instructors look like real people. They don't look like they all stepped out of a Lululemon commercial (a few do, but they can't help that they are super fit). They are real people, with real bodies, and aren't perfect. I love that I can identify with them. During COVID, the studio started online live classes every day and would also email a link to the FULL video of the class that you can replay as many times as you want for a week. WOW! This was a LIFESAVER. I was able to practice from the comfort and safety of my home as well as watch the video over and over. I was concerned that I wouldn't get my money's worth during COVID (I have the monthly unlimited package) but it has been the complete opposite! During the shut down of the studio and now reopening with smaller classes, I am able to practice from home, with my favorite instructors, conveniently and receive 1 week unlimited replays for every class I sign up for (even if I sleep through the class or it doesn't work for my schedule). I have made out like a bandit! The owner, Grace, is friendly, receptive to feedback and questions, and a fantastic yoga instructor! One of the things I love about this studio is the community. I came for the yoga, but I am committed to this studio because of the community, vibe and people. Everyone is so supportive. It is not a competitive environment at all, it's the opposite, everyone wants to help each other be healthy, strong, and the best yoga practitioner they can be. I have recommended this studio to everyone who will listen because yoga is low impact, increases strength and has huge mental health benefits. Parking: I didn't want to deal with trying to find a spot at a gym... well this yoga studio is in a lot that has 10 times the parking that is needed on any given day. Easy access to the feeder too. It felt so fancy inside, and on the first floor there was a smoothie bar with snacks and food that we got the açaí bliss protein smoothie from. I also really liked that in the women's locker room there's lotion and spray on deodorant and hair dryers, and it's super clean. The second floor is stacked with machines and treadmills and anything you could possibly need for a good workout. There's also an indoor basketball court and pickleball courts and an outdoor pool. Definitely play pickleball during work hours if you're off, because we went at 7 pm and it was packed because everyone had gotten off work. But, when we were there at 4:30-5 pm, it was pretty empty.

The kids club was a perfect setup. We had use of the party room for an hour. The kids were able to rock climb and play in the bounce house while we decorated. The last hour of the party was spent in the pool. We were able to use the family dressing room and then the pool. The water was nice and warm and the kids (and adults), had a blast. There was seating for the spectators that didn't get in. Life time provided the life vests and a lifeguard for the party. Each kid had to have a guardian in the water which was not a problem. The two young adults helping us made sure to take care of everything. They helped us set up, passed out pizza and cleaned up the decorations when we went to the pool. They had all the gifts and stuff packed up on a cart and helped us take it outside. Great place for a kids pool party.
