Cody was patient and provided modifications where needed so all of the class felt included and able to participate.

I found this place disappointing. I tried this because it is conveniently located and wanted to try…read moresome low impact exercise. The free trial class was pretty good, not crowded, and they were friendly. But the regular class was crowded even with the reduced size they have implemented because of Covid 19. I found the instructor hard to hear and it was difficult for me to see what she was demonstrating. I had signed a contract (which included a 5 business day rescission clause) for 4 classes per month. I understood this to mean that I had 5 business days to change my mind making me feel okay about signing up for this. They turned a lot less friendly when I told them I didn't want to continue the contract and only wanted to pay for what I had used. They also informed me the contract did not include 5 business day rescission clause which was confusing as I was sure I had read it. So, when I got home, I reviewed the contract and indeed the clause was there. I called them and told them where it was in the contract. They then informed me that rescission meant that they did not have to return money and only meant that they would waive their 30 day cancellation policy and could avoid further charges. This place seems to be working out for some people. The classes were mostly full and some were even wait-listed. But, I would recommend approaching any of their contracts with caution. Be aware that some text is hidden when they show the contract on their screen.

Came here the other day for a class and I loved it! Regina is such a great reformer Pilates…read more instructor. She explained all the movements perfectly and even adjusted my form when it needed some assistance. This is such a cute boutique studio located in the Bellaire and West University area, I will be back!

I'm updating my review to give a more accurate explanation of my experience at Pure Body. This is…read morethe worst Pilates studio I've been to and not a good use of my money or time. I was treated rudely and with disrespect. Several people came across as arrogant. Prior to taking any sessions, I carefully described all of my injuries. I'm a 40+ year old former athlete with arthritic joints. Even after explaining my injuries, the instructor, who is also part owner, pressured me into going harder on exercises than what was suitable for me. I ultimately injured my right shoulder, and couldn't life my arm. During class the instructor was very rude. I sought medical treatment with my chiropractor, and when my symptoms did not improve I had an MRI and eventually saw my orthopedic surgeon. I was in physical therapy for 5 weeks. I also called the studio after my injury to let them know what happened. Because I had pre-paid my sessions, I was unsure if I could easily get my money back, since they were giving me a vibe as if they do not give refunds for any reason. But I think in some cases, you should issue refunds for unused money, because not every studio is a good fit for every person. I felt like I was being looked down upon. There does not seem to be clear policies in place in the event something happens, such as an injury. I was treated horribly. They are not physical therapists and are not qualified to diagnose injuries. The liability waiver excludes them from all liability if you become injured. This means that if a customer does not want to do business with you, either because they do not feel as though you are competent enough to help their specific needs, or they simply do not want to risk further injury they need to be able to end the business relationship. It is a customer's decision if they want to continue doing business with them, even if they pre-paid, especially if something bad happens. They eventually refunded me money, but I had to go back and forth for over a week, which was stressful. I think that they thought I was being dishonest. This was insulting. I've found a new studio. I'll never be back.
