Baltimore inner harbor hotel located within 2 blocks of the Harbor. The Hotel - I'm still not sure if the Lobby area is being renovated or not but the front desk is currently two desks put together with two computers and a POS system. When we first arrived no one was at the front desk and I wasn't even sure if that was where we were suppose to check in because it looked makeshift. Arriving in our room it was cozy, there was a note sealing the door, stating that the room had been sanitized. It was small but the bed was comfortable and the shower was huge. The room at first site appears clean until you start seeing the smaller details. 1. Black hair found in our bed on the sheets 2. A towel that was neatly folded, had blood or feces on it 3. Note sure why the restaurant is closed because of "covid" 4. No breakfast service as listed in their website. 5. $200.00 incidental charge that you won't get back for up to 10 days. 6. The recent poor reviews are all true. This is one of the WORST experiences I've ever had at a hotel. It was so bad, I didnt stay the night. Room was too dirty to stay in and there were BUGS on floor and wall!!! (see attached picture). - Terrible customer service. The check-in system was shut down, only one person was on staff. Took extremely long to get into my room. With Covid, what I truly believed happened is the superior service and staff that maybe used to be here long ago, are no longer here. That good customer service is now gone, along with many employees who have left. - Criminal Activity & Police Presence: While checking in, the staff were approached by a police officer on site who was notified of an issue. The police interrupted my check-in process to talk to the staff about the problem with guests. - Dirty room: I've attached pictures of bugs in my room, liquids on wall, and sticky floors. So this place has become a disappointment. We stayed here years ago -- not too long after it opened -- and sadly the service is not the same. We stayed for two days, and while we were out for the majority of the first evening, the room was not accommodating in the least. For starters, we had NO hot or even warm water the first night to shower. The following morning, I noticed the room was not cleaned before our arrival. How did I know? Because the toilet looked dirty (hairs along the sides and between the seat), and there was crumpled lettuce (yes, lettuce) on the floor - in addition to food crumbs and hair that wasn't ours. (As a note, we did not bring any food back to our room.) Upon noticing the room, we spoke to someone at the front desk the following morning in hopes of getting a clean room while we were away. He apologized and said housekeeping would remedy the situation. Well, that was a lie, because when we arrived back in our room in the evening, everything was still untouched. In addition, the hallway smelled like cigarette smoke, and for a hotel that claims to prohibit smoking, someone was on our floor. Perfect for a two day stay in Baltimore! This hotel is in the best location if you plan on doing most of your activities around the inner harbor. It is an extremely short walk to the inner harbor and other activities in the area. The lobby is gorgeous and is super big. They offer free coffee and water throughout the day for guests. The staff here are also great! Shout out to Arielle and Lorin who checked us in, they were super sweet and were a great first impression of the hospitality the hotel had to offer! Our room was located conveniently on the 3rd floor. The rooms are huge here! The bed which was my favorite part was amazing! The bed was super soft, comfortable and the pillows were also to die for! I had the best sleep ever in this bed! Bathroom is also huge and the shower was absolutely wonderful! Another great aspect of the room were the wooden floors. They are done very nicely and have a lux feel to them. read more

Stayed here one night after purchasing a groupon. The checkin process was a bit confusing since at first it didn't seem like anyone was working in the lobby. I called a head before arriving to notify them I will be bringing my dog. I believe the per fee was $50. Overall for one night my stay was enjoyable. I do agree that the rooms are a bit small, my room has a very large bathroom which was nice but a larger room would have made more sense for the space. read more

EZ-Pass was stolen by the hotel valet parking from my windshield. Room was not throughly cleaned, had hair on the sink and dirt/dust on the lamps. Shower head was scummy as well as the drain. The lobby was very nice (cute coffee shop with seating and bar) and the front desk staff was kind too. Hate to leave such a poor review for things that can be fixed, but theft puts it over the top. read more

Stayed at the Hotel RL from 8/5-8/12. While the location was great (downtown and walking distance to the Harbor) I had a couple of issues with disturbance and cleanliness. A couple of nights there was noise from young people hanging out in and around their cars parked on Calvert Street (my room was on the second floor). The hotel security was ineffective in shooing them along so I had to call 911. In regards to cleanliness, the housekeeping staff apparently are allowed to get away with doing the bare minimum. The shower floor was scummy and the shower wall had MOLD. After informing the front desk TWICE and nothing being done, I decided to go to the nearest drugstore and purchase my own cleaning products and cleaned the shower myself. The floors had also not been swept, even when I removed the "do not disturb" sign from the door. The hotel itself is cute and has that "urban boutique hotel" feel, but it could be managed a little better. read more

Hotel and staff are absolutely amazing! They treated me like one of their own which felt really nice. The amenities are wonderful and the room layout was absolutely perfect for our on-the-go weekend. We really got a chance to soak in the NYC experience because it's in the perfect location- bodega, 2 local bars, & a taco truck all within the same block. Desiree & Tricia were especially rockin and the housekeeping staff keeps those rooms SPOTLESS! Not enough good things to say about the whole experience and will definitely be back next time we're in town! read more

Tl;dr Staff grumpy AF. However it is one of the better places I've stayed in a while. I stayed here on a hotels.com deal and it was incredibly cheap yet close to a conference at the Renaissance hotel, which was offering far higher rates even with the conference discount. Because it was so cheap, I ignored the big attitude from grumpy staff and I'd probably still book again if I'd ever need to be back in this area again. This was booked for me for one night. They have Valletta parking.. As I went in I noticed the art work on the ceiling lobby. There is a cfe but it was closed. It may be due to covid restrictions..The hotel rep was to my left. After some required information given, I was handed my key card. The room looked clean. There was a strand of hair and toilet tissue in the toilet, I flushed it.. besides that the bathroom did look clean. The dresser was missing some knobs and the chairs being a little stained the room, was decent.. There was two beds, I'd say they were queens size. Sheets were clean, floors was clean..high ceiling and windows.. Good shades, blocks the light. If I was ro vosit the same Baltimore area, I probably would book again for a short stay like yesterday.. read more

My husband and I had a wonderful experience at the Hotel RL! The staff was friendly and courteous upon check-in and there was no wait. The concierge even offered to hold our baggage so we can enjoy the last 30 minutes of their happy hour! The food at the bar was great, we had flatbread pizza and some hot wings. Their happy hour specials were nicely priced and the drinks were delicious. Overall, we will stay at the hotel RL again! Oh, they have a wonderfully comfortable king size bed. There was some street noise but we live in the city so we're kind of used to it. We always bring our waterfall noise reduction app wherever we go on her iPhone. read more

I check in my room had no hot or cold water in the shower, the bathroom sink had only cold water I informed the front desk representative She told me she will contact the engineer and will get back to me shortly it was 8pm 1 hour went by nothing and I had my baby with me who needed to take a shower after spending time at the aquarium and to go to bed. It was 9pm and by then it was ridiculous I went downstairs to asked if an engineer is close by She gave me an attitude, telling me I have to be patient! I told her it's unacceptable and I need to shower After much back and forth, I was transferred to another room which was worse The smoke detector was hanging Bug in the bathroom Bedbugs Weed smell in the room I had to keep the ac on to help air out the room I woke up with plenty of bites from bedbugs They ruined my weekend trip to Baltimore My son love the aquarium we came here and I regret booking that hotel now he got bitten by bed bugs I feel like a horrible mom for booking that hotel read more

I really enjoyed this hotel and their staff. I will definitely return. They offer valet service which is worth the use! The staff were so nice, it was very welcome as I was stuck in the Beltway for...a while. Lol. I was tired and had the best surprise: a room upgrade! I loved my room and liked that it was a "green" room..environment friendly. Hotel is quiet, you can sleep soundly and the housekeeping is first rate. I enjoyed my stay at the Hotel RL. Upon entering the hotel, you will not see a front desk. It's a little confusing. There are kiosks to check-in and get your card. There is an in-person check-in area that's all the way to the left that is kind of hidden. Kionte (sorry if I misspelled your name) helped me check-in. He was super friendly and helpful. The lobby is very welcoming and chic. Plenty of seating if you just want to chill. On the right side of the lobby, there is a bar/cafe. Free coffee, if you need a pick-me-up. The room itself was very clean, spacious, and comfy. Floors are wooden. The bathroom was huge. I accidentally chose an accessible room so the shower was completely open. There is no bathroom door. 24-hour gym. I didn't use it though. Free wi-fi. Free live entertainment. Check their schedule. The hotel feels safe. You need a keycard to access the floors. The room was a reasonable price for being in the downtown area. Parking: Valet parking is ~$35. If you want to do self-parking, there is a garage behind the hotel for $21. Hotel RL in Baltimore at 207 E Redwood St, Baltimore is a nice new addition to the market. This is a simple concept, boutique, relaxed casual, but classy hotel. The new rooms, new restaurant, new amenities, new, new, new don't hurt as well.  The restaurant and bar features a nice happy hour special.  The same area turns into a breakfast café with espresso bar in the morning. The hotel features valet parking, or self park.  There are several common areas to lose yourself and study or catch up on work.  They even offer free bicycles if you want to ride into Inner Harbor which is literally 2 or three blocks away. Service here too is really on point!  At check in we had the delightful Kionte checking us in.  He's so friendly, so polite, cordial, willing to help with any questions, and fast.  In the restaurant area we had Shay who is just a pleasure.  So nice, so on point with service, friendly, and helpful as well. This is a chic hotel with spacious rooms. The pictures that I have posted should give you a sense of the size of the room. The bathroom is very large and nicely laid out as well. However, there are some drawbacks too which prevent me from rating it more highly, the biggest being that the attached restaurant is very underwhelming. The first night I was here I had dinner at this restaurant and I got a seriously burnt sandwich that I just couldn't finish. I know that at most hotels, restaurants are an afterthought but the restaurant that's part of this hotel is an afterthought of an afterthought. The second issue was that I did not find a "Do Not Disturb" sign that I could place outside my room. When the housecleaning staff cleaned up the room, they weren't too careful and placed my shoe mitt on the table next to my bed and my vest on top of my luggage. Lastly, I had requested a wake up call on one of the three mornings I was there but I didn't believe I got it. For all of those reasons, I have mixed feelings about the hotel and while I would consider it again in the future, it isn't a slam dunk. read more

Okay, this hotel was very blah to me. I accidentally reserved an accessible room. So my room was very bare. It literally had just a bed, a chair, small table in the corner, and a huge tv. The room had no mirror outside of the bathroom mirror, and the smoke alarm was literally hanging by a string from the ceiling. The bathroom was super outdated. The accessible bathroom was huge, but bare again. The seat in the shower looked old and dingy, the sink was dirty with water spots and the towels in the bathroom were dirty as well. I called the front desk to see if i can change my room, and was told that i couldn't. Out of all the hotels I've stayed in, this one had the most potential, but was also a huge disappointment. I wouldn't stay at this hotel again. It is in the city, which makes it easy to get around downtown by walking. But the hotel was pretty loud at night. All in all, my stay could've been better. It definitely had a younger hipper crowd, which wasn't bad. The bar was closed due to covid, and there really wasn't much else. My room was big and bare. So that's one thing that was good, the room size. The floors were pretty, and the window was big enough to shine lots of light in the morning. But the window was dirty.. lol. Had a very bad experience trying to check-in at this hotel today (February 13th at 3:30pm). My wife and I had booked and prepaid for our hotel stay through AMEX, but when we were checking-in, the Front Desk Staff was rude and not very helpful with the questions we were asking pertaining to the paperwork we needed to complete for check-in. Our questions related to the $200 hold that she had to place on our credit card for incidentals and the pet fee. She didn't know how much the pet fee was, but wanted to us to pay the $200 incidental fee without confirming the pet fee charge first. It got to the point that we had to say something about her bad customer service. She then escalated the situation and took it upon herself to cancel our reservation (What in the world, really??). Then she told us we need to leave the premises before she calls the cops. We were shocked at what was happening and how erratic she was acting. We told her we don't have a problem leaving, but we need a receipt or something showing that we'll be getting a refund. She got loud and said "you need to call corporate for that! If you don't leave now I'm calling the cops." So we decided to stay and wait to talk to the cops and explain the situation to them. While we were waiting on the cops, she continued to be rude and disrespectful. She even made insulting comments related to my wife's mother and our dog that we brought with us. Talk about a ghetto hotel and front desk staff. We've NEVER been to ANY hotel and treated like this. Once the cops came, they talked to her first, and all of a sudden she started talking like an angel and changed up the whole story. She lied on us and tried to portray herself as the victim. The cops then came and talked to us. We gave them our side of the story and they believed us, but unfortunately since she worked for the hotel, they had to enforce the Front Desk Staff's request and ask us to leave. They did help us find a BETTER hotel in the downtown Baltimore area. So we ended up staying at the SpringHill Suites. I'm still in shock that this type of behavior is acceptable at ANY hotel, but this is definitely a ghetto hotel with ghetto employees. People like this woman do not need to be working in hospitality and this hotel shouldn't even be in business if this is the way they treat their guests. My suggestion is that you STAY AS FAR AWAY AS POSSIBLE from this establishment. read more

Needed this room in a pinch about an hour before I needed to check in somewhere. I saw this advertised on hotels.com and it seemed like it fit the bill for an affordable one night stay in downtown Baltimore. The lobby is decorated in an eclectic and inviting way so I instantly felt comfortable upon arrival. However, I read previous reviews that mentioned check in being on iPads in the lobby and walked around aimlessly looking for them until I had to ask the bartender and he pointed to what looked like a shelf in the back left corner of the lobby with computers and a woman on the phone. Definitely not the typical check in desk you encounter at hotels. When I approached the woman working she was handling an issue with another customer and I stood around for about 20 minutes before she was able to get me checked in. She finally gave me my keys and started to tell me something about a black box in the elevator and when I didn't understand what she was saying she rudely told me to stop talking and "listen to the words coming out of my mouth" it was one of the rudest interactions I've had with a service worker and it definitely made me knock this place down a star. A little bit later that evening I order food delivery and my driver attempted to bring it up to my room. About 1/2 hr after my driver told me she arrived I still hadn't gotten my food so called down to the desk to see what the issue was. The same worker told me that food deliveries are not allowed up to the room but I could come to the lobby to pick up my order. Um excuse me m'am were you even going to call and tell me my food was waiting?? Her response was "just come and get it" Ugh she was awful and I wish this place would train their staff better. Like others have mentioned the service here SUCKS! It's a shame because the hotel itself is so beautiful. If you don't ever have to talk to any staff here, it's a perfect stay but god forbid you need anything because you won't be happy with how you're treated. My husband and I spent 1 night in October for a birthday treat. Started out a nice visit but ended in an horrible experience.. our room bed linen had not been changed. There were several dirt smears on the top duvet cover and coffee stains on the actual duvet. When we complained we were told that the linen could not be changed and we needed to move to another room. On our way out for dinner, a housekeeping lady was right outside. We thought she was going to clean our room when we were out. But she didn't! So we told the front desk again the next day. We told them the trash cans were full, we needed new towels and new sheets. They left towels and sheets outside of the room. Really?! You literally have to take the elevator up and down. And the kicker, 1 broken soda vending machine and 1 ice maker for an entire hotel. The front desk attendants were always polite and patient with my questions. However, the RL Hotel needs better amenities (microwave or mini-fridge), cleaner hall carpets, and a complementary coffee bar, especially since its cafe has been closed since COVID. read more

My family and I just returned from a one night stay at this hotel. The room itself was fine - on the small side, hipster-vibe, nice bathroom. Here are all the things that went wrong (a few things went VERY WRONG, READ THROUGH TO THE END): 1. When we pulled up to the valet sign, no one came over. After waiting for a minute, I got out and went up to the door where a young lady identified herself as valet (after pulling herself away from her phone). 2. When I went to check-in, the young lady working the front desk was also on her phone and did not acknowledge me until I said "Hello". No smile, no nothing. She only asked for my identification and a credit card. And then she handed me the room key. There was no "have you stayed with us before?" or "we offer free coffee" or "we have free WiFi". LITERALLY NOTHING. Now, I used to work at hotels and I've stayed at plenty, and the front desk staff is usually super pleasant and informative. This one left me feeling a little pissed, tbh. 3. Room was fine. Like I said, a little small, but beautiful bathroom. I took 3 pillows off the bed because they had stains on them. I didn't call the front desk because, well, see #2. ****4.**** So we get the car from the valet after checking out. First, my husband opens the driver door and there's a lighter on the floor. Whatever. He gives it to the valet driver, who said it wasn't his. My husband gets into the car and notices a small green something stuck on the navigation screen. He picked it off and sniffed it, and said it smelled like weed. He then looks at the odometer and fuel gauge - TIP FOR ALL: WHEN VALETING YOUR CAR, FIRST TAKE PICS OF THE ODOMETER AND FUEL GAUGE! THANK GOD my husband thought to take pics of both!! Our odometer had gained 30 MILES and we were down 80 MILES OF FUEL WTF??!!! Now, I don't know about you, but the thought that some mf 'er who was being paid to park my car decided to take it for a joyride, smoke some weed, do god knows what else, seriously pisses me off. My husband talked to the valet staff, who denied taking the car out for a joyride. We got management info and left PISSED THE F OFF. We have since emailed the hotel manager and are waiting on a response. This seems pretty obvious, but if our car was, in fact, taken for a joyride and had weed smoked in it, that is BEYOND UNACCEPTABLE!!! This is our family car - there is a goddamn car seat in it! I can't even express how extremely pissed off I am because I cannot believe this actually happened. Now, I know we have no proof of a joyride, but we have before and after pics of the odometer and fuel gauge, and there really is no other explanation. Although the room was fine, I will never stay at this hotel again, regardless of how management responds. We feel completely violated, and you couldn't pay me to put my family's safety at risk again. read more

I'll preface by saying we booked through a third party, Expedia. Upon arriving, the staff already had a line of customers and a slow operating computer, but informed us they'd be with us as soon as possible. When we finally step up to the women, we find out our double king room does not exist. Expedia over booked and we would have to wait for something available in about an hour or so as their custodial staff was cleaning more rooms. We left and went to have dinner. When we got back, Amy remembered who we were... and instead of one double king size room for the 4 of us, we were given 2 separate king rooms at no additional charge. This was satisfactory with us. The downstairs lobby is extremely trendy and hipster, has a very nice restaurant and bar/ coffee shop. Lots of charging outlets around. Elevators and stairs only available with a room key, making it very safe. The rooms are very nice, upscale and trendy. Great bathrooms, large TV, extremely comfortable bed... but only one chair. Minus the entire debacle of check-in, not the fault of the front desk staff, this is a great hotel to stay in. Especially since the room wasn't expensive and it's a few minute walk from inner harbor. Stayed here a few nights, and I was really happy with my stay! I got there a few hours before I could check in, and the guy at the desk was super friendly and helpful. I was planning on working out anyway, and he held my suitcases (after I changed into my workout clothes!) and let me use the hotel gym. After my workout it was still early to check in (12pm), but the guy saved a room that had just been cleaned for me to check in early! I was on the 6th floor, and I had a great view of the inner harbor area. The closet space is a little weird like the other reviews say in that it isn't actually a closet, but it actually worked for me! The bathroom is nice and comes with high quality toiletries. The gym is basic, but it has everything you need- a few treadmills, bikes, elliptical, free weights, yoga balls, and one of those but weight machine things. The location of the hotel is great, it's a short walk from the touristy areas by the water. Another perk with the hotel are free coffee in the lobby! I also tried the hotel restaurant, and I was really impressed- I had an awesome salad with grilled asparagus and tomatoes, fresh corn and arugula, huge pieces of crab meat and a fried egg on top! I'd definitely be interested in trying other things on the menu, and the bar is a cool space that would be fun to hang out in with some drinks. The bartender was super friendly too and offered free popcorn to munch on! Overall, I was impressed with my stay here, and I would recommend it to others planning a trip to Baltimore! read more

My boyfriend and i stayed at the Hotel RL overnight for the Light City Festival in Baltimore and were thoroughly impressed. The hotel is situated in the perfect spot only a couple of blocks and a very short walk away from the Inner Harbor. Valet parking is available for $35/night which seems excessive, but for a city and to avoid a headache trying to find parking, it's a great option. The vibe inside is kind of hipster chic with an open concept cafe on one end of the lobby and a stage where local acts perform on the other. There are comfy sectional sofas scattered throughout as well as free fruit-infused water and coffee for guests. Check-in was easy and I understand there are do-it yourself kiosks, but I was greeted quickly and warmly by hotel staff who took care of the check-in process for me. We got our keys quickly and were assigned a room on the 6th floor. I appreciate the fact that you have to swipe your key in the elevator to go up - this is added security that I wish all hotels had. Our room on the 6th floor wasn't very big, but the hardwood floors throughout (including the bathroom), the expansive windows, and the large king bed (with more than enough pillows) and the beautiful mural extending the length of the wall above it made up for this completely. The bathroom was also a very nice size complete with a large glass standing shower and adorable toiletries (shower gel AND bar soap options included). We had a wonderful time in Baltimore over the weekend and our relaxing stay at Hotel RL was certainly one of the reasons why. read more

I spent 3 nights there. No complaints the first 2 nights. Although there was no coffee to be found any where. On the 3rd night, maintenance came in my room after midnight. Scared the heck out of me. He immediately apologized and left. The front desk called to explain the mishap, they thought the room was empty. I was mildly understanding at the moment. When I left, they done nothing to compensate me, ie, discount on parking at the least would have been nice. I will not stay there again read more

We stayed here become it was recommended. We drove here from OHIO. And I can say I've seen better. The room we stayed in was cramped. It was me my husband and a toddler. There wasn't a lot of space to put her portable crib. The room did not come with a refrigerator or a dresser. We found that strange. The restroom didn't have a tub. Only a shower. The cheat toilet paper and tissue was disappointing. For the price customers pay a night you can do better with toiletries. The receptionist was good at accommodating with extra towels and wash clothes. The valet was pretty patient with us going back and forth to the car. It would be more helpful if the valet was opened later than 11 pm maybe until 2 am. That would've been a great help to us traveling. read more

Would not stay here again. Towels were visibly dirty, there was a lock of hair on the floor, the room smelled of cigarette smoke even though we were in a nonsmoking room. The lobby looked like it hadn't been cleaned or tidied in weeks - not a good sign in Covid times. I felt uncomfortable the entire stay. To top it all off, our credit card number was stolen, and we didn't use that card at any other time during the trip for anything other than booking the room. Staying here for a business trip where some co-workers and I are presenting at a conference. Immediately we were greeted by a condescending staff who didn't know how to explain what an incidental charge is. The rooms are small and dim. A "double room" bed is barely bigger than a twin sized mattress. Honestly the room isn't that bad- it's what you pay for. But the staff here treated us like trash because I think they assume we are "young and dumb" but we pay the same hard earned money as anyone else and deserve to be treated the same. I feel bad for whatever "young" person is forced to check in with Eric. Heads up- they charge you $40 a night for incidentals and give it back 2-4 business days after you check out. read more

Stayed here for a few nights for for the Cubs Series. I would rate this place a 3.5 just because there where a few problems. But the location more than made up for the few problems that I had. First off I came to the hotel from the airport (BWI) and it was about $20 for a Uber so that isn't bad at all. The lobby is basically open concept no real signs and it's kind of hard to tell who works here and does what and who's just hanging out. No real front desk. But when I finally did find some to check me in it was fast and the women was very nice. Got in my room nice hardwood floors long empty hallway right when I walk into the room. Bedroom area was pretty cluttered the bed sat right on top of the nightstand so basically it was hard to use and impractical. The clock was set 30min fast and had a alarm on for 5am so glad they check that out. Nice size bathroom which was nice. But it took awhile (over 5min) for the shower to warm up each day. Another thing I couldn't believe the room didn't have was a safe I mean come on it's 2017 even a days in has a safe to lock stuff up. They did give you a bottle water which was nice and a free cup of coffee from their coffee bar downstairs which I didn't use unfortunately. Room was pretty clean there was a few questionable markings on some stuff. But overall decent property 2 or 3 blocks and your at the inner harbor. Your about a half mile from Camden yards and walking distance to things to do. There is a 7/11 close by and a small liquor store that sells wine and beer so that's nice. Also if you want a cheap eat there is a 24hr subway right next door although I didn't go there seemed to always be busy. My main gripe is get a safe for the room and have more than one person working a Saturday morning at the front desk so I don't have listen to some prick that's never stayed in a hotel before ask a hundred questions about his bill and room when he's checking in at 10 am and I'm trying to check out. read more

Came to explore some places to eat and the aquarium. This hotel is a good distance from the Inner Harbour, where the National Aquarium is located and other food establishments. Unfortunately I think COVID hit this place very hard- many breakfast places were closed on a Sunday morning and didn't have much luck in finding a good dinner spot. The hotel was eh. Downstairs, the cafe was closed and the chairs/tables/couches were not very clean. The same can be said for the room, which had small stains on the sheets, the glass shower door was slightly coming out of the wall, the shower was either burning hot or lukewarm. It had a microwave that was not cleaned out and the fridge looked a bit rough-both next to an IKEA dresser. Our room did not have a remote, either. The check-in desk was a cart with a table in front of it...odd. However, the staff were all so kind! Tonya was the concierge, who displayed great customer service! The valet was quick, as well. Probably will look elsewhere next time we visit sadly. read more

I came in from a late flight and there was no one to check me in for almost an hour. Just an empty front desk and office. I didn't get into my room until after 1. I just sat in the lobby with my family trying to figure out how to cancel my reservation and even began to book at the Hampton across the street. Someone finally came in and gave me an upgraded room with a larger bathroom, and a late checkout. When I was falling asleep, the club across the street closed and there was some noise through the old windows. The loud fan in my room gave some white noice to drown out the sounds of people outside. read more

I loved this hotel! Found this on expedia for a great price in the area- downtown Baltimore. This is in a great location and walking distance to Camden Yards and the harbor. The parking situation is valet only, I believe it's $35 a night but my purchase on expedia came with the parking. We got there around 2PM and it was pretty quiet inside and they let us check in early. I noticed in the lobby they have bicycles free for guests to use, and also a game room full of board games which I thought was pretty cool. The room itself had a comfy king size bed in a modern, spacious room. The bathroom was also a good size with a large shower. The only thing missing in the room is a full length mirror and keurig coffee for the morning. They have a coffee/bar area in the lobby that offers happy hour drink deals. They also offer a continental breakfast in the morning which was also included in my package. If the breakfast is not included I would NOT recommend getting it. Even for a continental, they had really limited selections and normally they charge $11 per person, which is outrageous for the selection. Getting your car from valet when checking out does take a while, but they warn you about that when you check in and recommend you call 30 min before you're leaving. read more

Checking in with Chianti (forgive me this isn't the correct spelling of his name, but pronounced this way) was awesome and professional. I seriously do not think I've encountered someone like him before with checking into a hotel. I'm sure it was a lot to take on being as it was the Oakland Raiders vs Ravens weekend and the Oakland Raider fans stayed here.. Nevertheless he was par on spot not missing a beat and keeping up with everything! Let me tell just how awesome he was half the time he knew before we even asked! During the stay he made sure we had everything we needed including recommendations for restaurants, sights you don't want to miss , hours of hotel bar which served food during specific hours, little hide away places and such. Our room was fit for a King and Queen oh my goodness! The bed was just a cloud and so comfortable as was the pillows! The bathroom was pretty neat featuring glass shower with a glass door but no worries it had a privacy film on it The bar/ food restaurant in the hotel was reasonable and please if you are here get the mac n cheese dish for two! Omg it was mouth watering smack yourself in the face yumolicious! The hotel is also pet friendly featuring an outdoor gated area for your pet! The hotel was very updated and modern with all the features you'd expect in a fabulous hotel that won't break the bank. On Monday morning check out Donyeil was on par with her recommendation for danishes which was all we wanted. She ensured that we had water as well as coffee and that we were set for our trip home. Was my first time visiting Baltimore and I must say that I was very impressed by the staff as well as the hotel room and amenities (especially the gym). Miguel and Adrian who work front desk were so welcoming and insightful when it came to where to eat, and where to go to fulfill my touristic needs, haha. My only regret is that my stay was just for the weekend and not much longer. I'd had stayed the whole week if I knew beforehand how excepetionally well my stay at Hotel RL was going to be.
