The rooms at this hotel are nice and at a fair price. I only had personally interacted with 2 reception staff members one gentleman who was an extremely nice while the other a young lady had no personality and acted as though my questions were inconveniencing her. The reason I am giving this review 5 stars is due in part to the gentleman at the reception desk although also due to the gentleman named Gustavo who is their cook for breakfast whose food is outstanding and not what I had expected given previous hotel experiences. Also one unpleasant person is no reason to knock the entire experience down a Star due to one person alone. read more

Great hotel. Stayed when I started my new on with the State of Maryland. Bed was very comfortable and breakfast and location was super convenient. Staff were friendly as well and let me stay an extra night in my room for the same rate when the hotel appeared sold out for the Army Navy Game to finish setting up work equipment on Friday before retiring home to Silver Spring. The first event that indicated that we should not have stayed there was the valet just finished smoking a spliff around corner and was so high. I did self park across the street. The steps outside smelled so badly of urine. The homeless people that lined the streets in that area was horrifying. Shame on the city of Baltimore for not helping these people. After looking for a decent hotel in the area last minute we came upon this location for a birthday celebration. They have the standard breakfast offering, and some other amenities -but we were bummed they had closed the pool w/ no notice or sign. Purposely picked a hotel with a pool for my baby sister only to find out that wasnt an option which sucked. Its an older hotel in the inner harbor area with updated rooms; but not so updated elevators lol. Got sent to the basement by accident trying to go up twice, as they are olddd elevators. There was also a room deodorizer or scent spray of some kind that irritated us? Not sure what that was. The parking situation was interesting..a separate company handles the valet. so PMC is who will put the cars in the garage. But when you pull up to any hotel in a city valet is usually outside ready to do that and they weren't.. so we were waiting with a few other cars of people who were confused. This really isnt the area to hand your keys to whomever and maybe needs to be managed by the hotel. Overall there were a few things we were willing to overlook, given the quick booking. But there are certainly nicer Hilton locations in the area. read more

Need to stay downtown in the city, this is a decent place to try. It's not a very fancy hotel but it does the job. They offer breakfast from 6-10am. They had several options for everyone. Waffle maker, eggs, bacon, potatoes, several pastries, yogurt with toppings, oatmeal, and several juices. They have a workout center and a pool. The pool I was told would not be working until the next day due to the heating mechanism. That was unfortunate. The room I stayed in was nice but did some updating. I'm the shower the place you can put your items was hanging off the wall. One of the towel holders was also hanging off the wall as well. The bed was very comfortable. Had a decent TV, wifi, and food options. They also offer valet ($47 with tax). Dropping it off was fine, but after getting my car back whomever parked it or pulled it up messed with my seat settings. My car has the option to save your preferred seat option and they messed with that as well. Wasn't too happy about that. Also you have the option to schedule the time you want your car ready. (I was told to give them at least a 10 min buffer) well I did that and when I came down, the guy told me to look outside and see if my car was there. I looked and it wasn't....so he went to go get it. It actually took another 14 mins for him to come back with the car. Very confusing process as I was hoping it would be seamless. The lady that was working that morning as well was on the phone while I was awaiting my car and two others were waiting to hand their keys over. Normally you would pause the conversation to assist but she just kept going. All in all it was a decent and safe place to stay if you are just looking for a place to lay your head while in the city. read more

I came to Baltimore for a convention and try to always staying at a Hilton hotel but they were so many and I actually chose this one by mistake but it is quite nice. It's an older hotel near the harbor very clean nice big rooms and an excellent staff. They've been nothing but accommodating and the breakfast is still the same as it used to be prior to Covid and I am actually a Hampton Inn fan because of the beds. They have the best beds ever!! They also have the small grocery area by the front Dess to get snacks and drinks which is always helpful and has a diamond member you get free water and a little extra attention if you need it. Price points were a lot less than the neighboring Hampton or Hilton Garden or the downtown Hilton but I'm perfectly comfortable. Highly recommend! read more

Only stay here if you are comfortable with a heavy scent of Room Deodorizer. As the windows don't open, we had to prop the door open & turn on the AC in an attempt to rid the room of this odor. Breakfast is standard motel-level fare... except the oatmeal, which was good. The best part of staying here is the quick walk to the Inner Harbor, which has lots of boutique restaurants, the National Aquarium, and sightseeing boats. read more

The absolute worse hotel I've stayed at in over 40 years. the valet charged me for 5 nights parking when I was there for 3. after receiving my final hotel bill of $803.27, three days later I was billed an additional $60.00. I called to ask how I got billed the additional $60.00 and they have been unable to produce paperwork reflecting this additional charge. So far I've only been credited one night of parking. When a hotel cannot produce paperwork for additional charges it's known as FRAUD. MY ADVICE DONT STAY HERE.......YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED. read more

The stay at this hotel far exceeded my expectations. My sister and her 3 children were in town for my birthday. My kids and I took the opportunity to enjoy a staycation. We picked this hotel because it's walkable to the inner harbor. Loved that we had the truck parked and walked everywhere. We got adjoining rooms (one corner room). The rooms are spacious with comfy beds. Everything was super clean. The building itself has interesting finishes. The boys enjoyed the pool and the adults were grateful for the free breakfast. The hotel is very close to the aquarium, a CVS and many resteraunts. The valet was so efficient and the hotel staff were super kind and responsive. The only reason why I didn't give 5 stars was because the breakfast could improve. The waffle irons all stick even when sprayed. Perhaps adding a few more items to breakfast would be helpful. read more

We stayed here from a Saturday to Sunday. It is a very clean hotel offering valet parking for $35 a day. You do have the option to leave and return. Check in was quick and easy as we had paid on their website before our stay. They do require a credit card for incidentals where they hold around $80. Most hotels do this so no biggie. I was surprised at how spacious our room was. The king size bed was comfy, the bathroom is HUGE, water pressure decent and it was clean. Floors are hardwood, so bring your slippers if you don't like walking barefoot on a cold floor! The room includes a coffee maker and mini fridge; however, they do serve a pretty decent take-away breakfast beginning at 7 am. Prices are reasonable. We would stay again. Strict COVID practices in effect (as of our stay May 22). The valet guys are awesome. read more

I would give this hotel a 5 star rating because the decor is beautiful. However, we were very uncomfortable. We were in a double bedded handicapped room the beds were extremely low almost on the floor. We asked the guy at front desk about it and he said all the double rooms were like that. I later called while back in the room because we just didn't believe that was true. Again, he said all the double bed rooms were like that. This morning before we left, we went got breakfast and ask another patron about the rooms. She too had double beds and she said they were normal height. This was our second hotel when arriving and happy we came. The first hotel will not be blasted here, but it was horrible! Made a last minute reservation and there were no problems. Hotel is beautiful. Valet did loose my car for like 30 minutes lol but all was good. They have breakfast area for you in the mornings. Frozen pre made sandwiches. Fruit. Yogurts etc. Also a mini pantry for items you can buy. Everything is super clean and social distancing is possible and encouraged. Was definitely worth the change to this hotel. Staff was always super friendly while in hallways and common areas. Masks are still required in common areas. Pool and extra amenities are still closed due to covid restriction here still. But there was plenty to within walking distance! Rooms are clean and well decorated! TV is freaking huge with a beautiful picture. read more

Was able to check in about an hour early since there was some availability. The hallway noise was a bit much on the 5th floor though, and the AC system was so loud, it jolted me awake each time it came on. Unfortunately, it was necessary as the room became a heat trap even on a 50 degree day. Was woken up at 9am even tho the checkout time is noon as well. The hotel gave us an early check in and a late check out and all of the staff were very friendly and accommodating. However, our room was not very clean when we got there. There were stains on the tables and windowsill, crumbs and dust in the drawers, and an odd stain on the sheets. The door to the bathroom did not lock. When I placed some food in the mini fridge, the mini fridge fell on me. The breakfast, while included, was not very good. They ran out of muffins and yogurt an hour before breakfast ended and were running low on other foods. read more

I very much regret booking a stay at the Hampton Inn & Suites Baltimore Inner Harbor for two nights during our trip to Baltimore in June 2021. There are primarily two reasons for that regret. The first - and by far the more important reason - is that when we made our reservation through hotels.com, we got the impression that there was a separate sitting area. Quoting from the language of our reservation: "Facilities 2 Queen Beds; Layout - Separate sitting area." However, there was no such separate sitting area and the lack thereof made a tremendous difference to our stay. We were traveling with our 2-year old daughter and because we were all in the same physical space, she ended up staying awake as long as we were awake until say 10:30 at night as opposed to going to bed much earlier in the evening. Had we known that these rooms do not have a separate sitting area, we would have never booked a stay at this hotel. A related mismatch between what the reservation at Hotels.com indicated and the amenities actually available was the lack of a microwave. This made heating milk for our daughter a bit challenging. The second reason why this hotel fell far short of expectations is that the breakfast was absolutely awful. I would have never imagined Hampton Inn & Suites to turn in such a poor show when it came to the breakfast. There was no hot food available - not even scrambled eggs. One could get these cold breakfast sandwiches and heat them in one of the two microwaves available (which also get backed up by the way) but even after a minute of heating (as recommended on the side of microwave), the sandwiches are cold, limp, and decidedly unappetizing. When we had booked the hotel, we were very much hoping to have a heavy breakfast in the morning and do a lot of sight-seeing before having lunch but such was certainly not the case here. And oh breakfast closes at 9 a.m. on weekdays, which is why we couldn't even have yogurt when we arrived at the area at 9:30 a.m. on the last day of our stay on Monday morning. All in all, therefore the room we had, along with the breakfast, fell far short of our expectations and this experience makes us very reluctant to stay at a Hampton Inn ever again. I say this even though we found the staff at the hotel very helpful who tried to help out with our requests. read more

I had a blast at this hotel. The rooms were amazingly spacious! The huge ceilings were to die for. You can tell this building use to be a bank by all of the architecture. They have obviously remodeled a lot of the building, but they kept the original structure and many of the aspects showed this in the room and lobby. It's always nice to have a hotel with free breakfast. They had a variety of different breakfast foods and fruit to take with you to your room or eat down in the lobby area. The room service staff was nice and on point. Also, The location is amazing if you want to walk quickly to the inner harbor! There was a very cute design set up as well throughout the hotel. My friends and I were looking for a hotel to stay at the night before the Baltimore City Running Festival. Hampton Inn was close and not too Pricey. $260 after taxes for a Friday night in downtown Baltimore. The hotel doesn't look like much on the outside, the lobby is very nicely decorated. A couple TVs, comfortable chairs. Valet service and front desk personnel were very friendly. Parking is $35. Average cost for the area. The continental breakfast was very good! A nice surprise. I was expecting the standard bagels, toast, pastry. Hampton Inn had cheese omelets, sausage, breakfast potatoes. The potatoes were yummy! Cereal, muffins, pastries, yogurt, juices, coffee and tea. The food was very fresh. Our room had 2 queen beds, I love Hilton brand beds! The room was a decent size, clean and nicely decorated. Bathroom was small but clean. And we really didn't need a huge bathroom. I definitely recommend Hampton Inn on Redwood if you're looking for a place to stay downtown. It's located 2 blocks from the Inner Harbor. Why we tried to go somewhere else before a Hilton property, I have no idea. We were greeted promptly both at valet and the front desk, the agent at the desk gave us a full rundown of amenities including breakfast for the morning. We got to our room and found that rooms were tagged with a break away sticker to show that no one had entered your room after it was cleaned. The room was clean and properly functioning in all ways, a nice big TV with a great picture. The bed was in good condition but was a little firm for our preference (our friend said his bed was like a cloud, perhaps they know which are which and you can make a request?). The hotel was quiet all weekend and any time we encountered a staff member they were super friendly. There was a small hiccup with getting our car from valet that caused some stress, but it was handled well and was not a big deal. On the morning of departure we grabbed a pre-made breakfast sandwich for breakfast, which was good as was the coffee. Checkout went smooth and we were on our way quickly. Would definitely stay here again if ever in Baltimore again. read more

Price was right, and close to the cruise line dock. Room... dislikes, only one trash in bathroom, one box of tissue in bathroom. When the bathroom was in use you couldn't throw anything away or blow your nose. Toilet paper holder was hung almost behind the toilet. You needed to turn sideways to use it. Room was clean. Bed was comfortable. Continental breakfast a disappointment. . There was breakfast sausage but they ran out so sliced grilled hot dogs was the replacement. Eggs were cold. Ended up having toast and jelly. Coffee ran out, ended up with a half cup and waited 15 minutes until they brought out more. read more

I chose this hotel becase we have always had great experiences with Hampton Inn...not this one! I understand this hotel is in an older building but that is not an excuse to have dated furniture that is obviously stained, peeling wallpaper, carpet that looks and feels dirty, and grungy grout and caulk in the bathroom. We got a corner room and it was the smallest room I have ever stayed in. Our toilet ran constantly and I mentioned it to several of the front desk staff and it never got fixed. On the plus side it was a short walk to the inner harbor and to the baseball stadium. Little Italy and Fells Point are must go places. Overall not worth the money I paid when I could have stayed at newer hotels for just a little above what I paid for this one. Will not stay on our return trip to Baltimore. read more

This was a Hampton Inn experience, but in a much nicer facility than is typical. The breakfast was exactly as you usually get at Hampton Inn, but the seating area the staff and the amenities were much nicer than normal. The same goes for the rooms. We were standing on the seventh floor in the lounge next to the elevator well it was a pleasant surprise. While one young child of mine was napping some of us could hang out in the lounge and talk and read without worry about disturbing the young one. The only bad thing was our final time checking out with the valet, they had parked my car behind the hotel because I was only inside a little bit but then the valet went to the parking garage a few blocks away to look for my car. What should've been a quick exit turned into 35 minutes of standing on the sidewalk waiting for our car. read more

This was a last minute vacation and decided to bring the dogs and was able to do so here which is awesome! At night the lobby smells like weed and mistakenly I went to the wrong floor and the smell was horrible there as well. I'm from out of town so I'm not sure if it's legal here but working in law enforcement probably will not be back for that. Second the breakfast is only until 9A.M. So if your interested make sure you make it. While arriving I turned on the news to find out COVID rates are high here no wonder why the staff isn't wearing there masks! Besides that it was a nice place to stay bed was comfy, decent sized room. Also they only have valet parking. read more

Our rooms were immaculate, the shower had consistently hot water, and the linens were very clean. Every accommodation was prepared well for guests. An additional benefit was the morning breakfast, which was delicious, slightly changing each day, and immaculately kept. Not very friendly front desk staff or valet.. all very young people. Don't seem to care about being friendly either. It's actually a very nice hotel. The room is clean and I give them some credit for a very very clean bathroom, however the carpet between the bathroom and bedroom is oddly sticky.. not sure why? Maybe from some kind of carpet cleaner or something. Pillows are like sleeping on nothing, and no bolster pillows in the room to help out. Coffee is awful, but the free breakfast is decent. All in all, just ok. Probably won't stay at this one again, but you never know. read more

This is my second Hampton Inn stay recently and the room seemed cleaner than the last location. My room was huge and it had a King bed. As for the location, my window looks out to a "coming soon" hotel which is a little eerie but it had the opaque layer for privacy. The other window where the sink and entrance to bathroom is facing the Marriott across the street. Eerie again. Did I mention it only had a see through curtain? The microwave and fridge was a nice addition. The mesh chair for the desk is another favorite. The clean personal couch was nice also. The fluffy 4 pillows on the bed? Another plus! Outlets and wifi, Yes! Service was quick as far as check in and front desk calls. When there was an issue the maintenance staff came immediately. There was the snack shop and business center (with a mean monster fax/copier/printer) available. You are about 3 blocks from the Inner Harbor so you can always catch dinner there before retiring for the night. read more

I stayed here while in town for the Rebel Race. It's valet parking only and they're pretty efficient getting your car in and out. Just moments away from the inner harbor is a plus. One you leave your car with the valets, there is really no reason to pull it out again, unless you've got to leave the city limits. There are tons of cabs and busses to get you to where you need to go. The surrounding area can feel a little shady but you'll get past that. There are quite a bit of places to eat right around the corner if you don't feel like heading to the harbor. The customer service was very good. The front desk people were cheerful and extremely helpful. If you're hungry for a snack and don't feel like leaving the hotel, theres a food/snack pantry at the front desk. You'll find some microwavable meals like burritos and hot pockets, assorted drinks, ice cream, chips, candy and some fruit. Our room was comfortable. It had a gigantic mirror, refrigerator, microwave oven, desk, flat screen TV, and an extra chair. The bathroom had the usual toiletries. Oh, and don't let me forget about the free breakfast. Make sure you get up early. They have assorted dry cereals, oatmeal, scrambled eggs, bacon or sausage, bagels, muffins and assorted fruits and juices. Very convenient and very free. This hotel also seems to have a little bit more tables and seats than most. So great price, friendly service, and good location from the inner harbor. I would definitely stay here again. read more

Inside the hotel was clean and spacious and seemed well maintained. The staff was friendly. However, there once the sun went down it seemed like the front entrance to the hotel was party central, as there were dozens of teens around the entrance. There was a heavy presence of marijuana smoke at the entrance as well. Additionally there was a lot of police activity and sirens all night. Teenagers were also coming in and out of the hotel and at least 10 tried to ride the elevator up asking me if I could let them use my key card, which I did not. The hallway leading to my room also smelled like marijuana. I won't ever stay there again. read more
