I had a 3 night stay here. During check in, some alarm went off and the elevators stopped working. My room was on the 5th floor. No apologies for the inconvenience. Was just told it would take time for the fire department to come and fix the elevators. So I had to carry my suitcase 5 flights of stairs alone. The room itself was fine. One of the two complimentary bottles of water had already been opened. I tried calling the front desk for housekeeping on my second day and no one answered. So I saw the housekeeping staff in the hallway and kindly asked that my room be serviced while I was out. Came back later that evening to my room exactly how I left it. So the whole time I stayed I didn't have any housekeeping services. Because of these inconveniences, I won't be staying there next time. read more

We've stayed here serval times over the past few years and always a pleasant experience. Front desk staff are welcoming and efficient. Lobby is well kept and this year still has the tastefully chosen Christmas decorations on display. Room was immaculate and quiet. Parking area is sufficient and well lit. My family stayed here for two nights to come and visit us. We went over to the hotel when they arrived to visit and enjoy the indoor pool. Their room was very nice and clean. We called to front desk to ask about menus for delivery and were told there were some at the lobby; we were about to go down and check, but the amazing Muriel Scott brought them to the room to review which was so kind. We went to the lobby to wait for delivery. When it arrived, I had forgotten to request plates and napkins from the restaurant, but again, Muriel came over giving us plates and napkins without us even asking! After we enjoyed our dinner, we enjoyed the indoor pool. There were plenty of towels available to use and the pool was nice and clean. It was a bit on the chilly side for two of our group, but I loved it! My family also raved about the includes breakfast options that they enjoyed in the morning. While I didn't stay here myself, my experience seeing the room, amenities, and having amazing customer service would make me recommend this to anyone needing a place to stay in the area! read more

Had a pretty good stay here. Was able to use the Bonvoy app to check-in early before the normal 4pm. Bed and bathroom was clean, but this was the first time staying at a Fairfield where the room was not a suite. This was more of an efficiency, as there was no full kitchen; just a microwave, small fridge, and coffee maker. I really didn't care since I wasn't going to cook or need the extra room of a full size fridge. The lobby doubles as the breakfast room, all tables mostly for eating. No sofas or lounge chairs. I didn't get a chance to eat the free breakfast, but it looked consistent with other Fairfields I've stayed in. Nice they include 2 free bottles of water in your room. read more

On April the 4th, 2026 my wife and I had a reservation at Towneplace Suites by Marriott Arundel Mills. The stay was for my daughter's birthday, in which she and some friends would be staying there overnight, only 1 night. After we checked in we went up to see the room and it did not look as advertised online. The room also had an odor but as we continued to go through the room my daughter called and informed us that the majority of the party cancelled. We immediately went to the front desk after staying all of 5 minutes in the room. The manager who checked us in named John Khalil got upset when we told him we no longer needed the room and asked to be refunded. We paid $240 dollars for the one night as well as an additional $100 dollars for a security deposit that was not stated until we arrived. John Khalil the manager stated he would not give us a refund and if we called to dispute the charge he would deny it since it is at his discretion. Mr. Khalil was very rude so I asked for the information to hotel customer service. We soon left and the following morning we noticed we were charged an additional $240 dollars. We also reached out to Marriott to file a complaint only to find this is owner franchised Very disappointed. read more

This is a great hotel right next to everything. The rooms are super comfortable. The staff is great. There's plenty of parking. And they are getting ready to have EV charging available. The continental breakfast is good with options. The little seating area is nice to sit in the morning. They have a barbecue outback and a sitting area out there as well. The staff is awesome and do everything they can to accommodate their guests . There's a huge mall and casino right down the street a really nice IMAX movie theater inside that mall as well. This is the only place I will stay when I'm in the area. I would give it 10 stars if I could. read more

We had an early morning flight out of BWI and I was trying to find a safe hotel nearby it. We rented a car and this location was 8 mins away. Parking was free and even though it was outside and not covered, the neighborhood seemed safe. The kids loved the pool although they wished there was a hot tub too. I liked it because I could work out in the gym and could keep an eye on them (..there's a glass wall between the gym and pool area). The pool area was clean. The deepest end is 4'6". Pool towels are also provided. The gym had two treadmills and one elliptical. One treadmill's TV wouldn't connect to the TV. The elliptical wasn't working. There were various sized dumbbells and medicine balls. Towels and Clorox wipes were available. In the lobby, there's two boards with updated info on flights. There's also a small pantry with snacks and drinks for purchase. Also some alcoholic drinks stocked too. Breakfast provided but we weren't able to try it. I am so grateful about the washer and dryer! After the kids used the pool, it was nice to use the dryer to dry their swimsuits instead of lugging back wet swim clothes in our luggage. PLUS, it was free to use! You'll have to purchase dryer sheets and laundry detergent (located in the lobby store). There's another Yelp review about the loud toilet flush. And we did notice this too. The TV can connect to Netflix.. you just need your own account. But there's regular cable TV for free. I thought you could check out from the TV or app but there wasn't this option. This was another one of my short stays for comfort Vice sitting around the airport for hours, especially overnight. The room was awesome and would be a reason I target this Marriott brand in the future. There is a 24 "Mart" next to the front desk in case you want the eat or drink or both, plus necessities. My only grip was when it came to scheduling the shuttle the following morning. There was a disconnect between the front desk and the driver and they eventually had to call me a Lyft. I made my flight, so I guess all is well, but a seriously comfortable looking room. read more

Fairfield Inn & Suites BWI Airport hotel is not what it seems upon first glance. It's clean and gives you the idea that it will be a nice stay, but the room has functional issues and they over charged me. I booked the hotel at a certain rate, but on checkout day, I found that I was over charged every night. When I read the line items from the receipt I could see where they overcharged me even though the per night rate was listed correctly at the very top of the page. No one wanted to take responsibility for this situation. The manager blamed it on Marriott. Marriott International blamed it on the property. Now, I am aware that the manager could have corrected this issue, but she didn't. I stayed 5 days, I will focus on the other issues that impacted how comfortable my stay was. This property has a power toilet inside which is very noisy and sprays a little. I don't think I have heard a toilet flush louder. That interrupted our sleep inside of our room. If you close the bathroom door the flush is a lot lower, but it's still way too loud for a sleeping place. The design of the room is far from best. Even though this room is for up to four people, it had limited functional space for two people. It does not have a closet or luggage rack which is surprising. I've never been to a hotel that doesn't have both of these storage areas. It has limited desk/vanity space. The TV takes up half of that area. So, you find yourself juggling your bags and things between the desk and two office chairs. If you want to work out of your room it's complicated because where do you put your computer when the desk and seats are holding your bags? Where do you sit? You would think the room would include an easy chair or love seat, but it doesn't. The room does not have an adequate area to hang towels in the bathroom either. The people who designed the room were so focused on providing the bare minimum, that it's an uncomfortable stay. The beds are not very comfortable either. Everyday it just got more frustrating to stay there. I cancelled my next booking at this Fairfield Inn. This hotel definitely gets one star. read more

Had such a positive experience 10/10 recommend. Monica at the front desk was so kind and helpful. The room smelled so good when we opened the door and it was spotless! No complaints. Our housekeeper Juli did a great job. Breakfast was top tier. They had a variety of options. Pool is open until 10 pm and the gym is open 24 hrs. The airport shuttle was on time. Parking is free and they also offer extended parking for an extra fee if you need to leave your vehicle while you are away. Will definitely return! read more

I guessed I wrote my review too soon. Everything turned south afterwards. At 11:45 pm, another guest was incorrectly given my room key. He was drunk and opened my door with his room key, and started yelling and screaming asking what I was doing in his room. It was quite a frightening experience. The front desk told me to speak to the manager on Monday, as he does not work on the weekend. I called Leon Monday morning and he said he would issue me a credit back to Expedia (even though I booked through Hotels.com), but I need to call Hotels.com to claim the credit. I told him that it is not easy to speak to someone from Hotels.com and I asked for other alternatives. He said he would get back to me later that day. I am very disappointed to find out that it is just a lie or the manager does not even care. He never called back that day. I had no choice but had to spend three hours on the phone with Hotels.com. A guest should not have to go through this given an unacceptable error from the hotel. In addition, when I went to the gym working out in the morning, there is no sanitizing wipes or gels. I was told that the gym was cleaned between each reservations. How could there be no gel or wipes? Isn't it a violation to CDC guideline? Breakfast is included but there was pretty nothing there. For a low priced travelers hotel, you can not do better. Rooms are clean, comfortably furnished, have everything you need. Amenities of fancier hotels are present- a pool, a gym - small, but absolutely work if you are into fitness or chilling in a pool- can even do laps! The free breakfast is spot on. Nothing fancy, but there's always yogurt, fruit, cereal, mill, juices, good coffee, eggs several ways, breakfast meats, make your own waffles, toast, lenders bagels, all the spreads - basic at home breakfast at a great price - free! If you're real cheap grab a bagel, cream cheese, fruit and yogurt to put in your mini fridge for lunch! Staff is nice, and the on-site convenience store offers all you need, even booze. It's no Sagamore Pendry - but if you're out on business or want to travel cheap this chain is spot on. read more

I booked a last minute trip to Baltimore for a family emergency, and ended up staying at the Fairfield Inn for 6 nights. When I checked-in, I was pleasantly surprised to be upgraded to studio room 217 due to my Marriott Bonvoy status. Overall, the stay was sufficient. The front desk staff was friendly, and Claudia from housekeeping was very attentive and addressed my concerns. (Apparently the fitted sheet and mattress pad was dirty and she immediately changed them.) The Tea Tree bath products were a nice touch. Hot coffee was available all day even at 4pm! And the WiFi was very strong bc I was able to stream my Netflix shows without any problems. Unfortunately, my gripe with the stay was that room renovations had been conducted throughout the week. Construction started around 8am (9am on Saturday), and being from the West Coast, my attempts to sleep-in were futile bc of the noise. The banging of the hammer, the moving of the furniture into the hall, and the constant conversations of the workers in the hallway and in the adjacent rooms. Prior to booking this trip, the website had indicated that there was parking lot construction. Had the website also said that renovations were being done to the rooms throughout the hotel, I would have stayed elsewhere. read more

I stopped by here tonight for a two night stay with my wife. Whenever I first arrived I thought that it looked like a pretty nice hotel and was excited to be staying there. However after I went for a run and got into the shower I noticed a clump of black stuff near the door which was either mold (my guess but I can't prove) or some type of dirt/dark substance which could easily be cleaned up. I took both pictures of video of it coming up onto a wash rag and proceeded downstairs to ask for another room. Ryan at the front desk was nice enough and got me another room. So you can imagine my surprise whenever I walked into this room 2 floors above the first and a similar, if not the same substance was there. I once again took pictures and video of it including me getting it up with a washcloth. Since it was 7 PM on a Friday night we weren't able to get the GM on the line but you can bet I didn't want to stay there. I was offered a staybridge suites or holiday inn express (both IHG which I dislike) and demanded something comparable. They eventually got me another Fairfield inn 15 minutes away and said they are going to refund me. I will also supposedly be able to talk to the GM tomorrow. As you may have guessed, the bottom line for me is that I wouldn't stay here again in the future. The black substance found in both showers was disgusting and while I strongly believe it to be mold, it may have been some other substance which should have easily been cleaned up. read more

I stayed at the Fairfield Inn only for one night. I was not in a suite. Reading the Yelp reviews, I was worried that the place would be rundown and grubby. Overall, it seemed bright, well-maintained and cheery. I got a decent night's sleep. The biggest negative was the chocolate bar that I found on the floor alongside my bed soon after my arrival. I had noticed that the alarm clock was unplugged and wanted a working alarm clock because of my early appointment the next morning. It was pulling back the side table next to the bed that led to my discovery of some previous occupant's chocolate. It was wrapped in plastic, at least, and it wasn't a hairpin or a single high-heeled shoe (objects that I've found in previous hotel stays, elsewhere). When you check into a hotel room, you know very well that people have stayed there before; maybe the last occupants checked out an hour or two before you checked in. Still it's jarring to see concrete evidence of the Other when you arrive in a room. The next negative was the loud air conditioner and heating unit (by Amana) in my room. It took a while for me to get used to it before I could fall asleep. The minuscule workout room struck me as basically OK: it has four pieces of aerobic equipment: two treadmills, one elliptical machine, one upright stationary bike. There are a couple of exercise mats, some free weights, a bench.... There's a nice wood floor; the place isn't terrible. The complimentary breakfast was slightly less good than breakfasts at Residence Inns. But there was palatable coffee, oatmeal, hardboiled eggs and cut pieces of pineapple. The free WiFi worked, and it didn't go at a crawl. "A-OK" is my vote. read more

My wife and I booked this hotel for our wedding and hotel guests. We were assured this hotel was "experienced" with weddings and that we would be receiving a stress free experience. This was not the case as the rooms were musty and warm, and staff unfriendly in remedying our concerns. We spent a lot of money on renting the meeting room for my wife and her bridesmaids for getting ready. We signed a contract with detailed instructions for the hotel staff that were agreed upon with the sales manager. On the morning of our wedding day the room was not set up and the hotel staff just shrugged and said they didn't know, leaving my wife to move furniture and set up the room on her own. We payed extra for coffee and tea to be set up, which was not there either and payed gratuities for the room in addition. When my wife and I addressed the concerns with the sales manager we were told we'd receive a refund, however received only $75 for a room that cost well over $600. Just totally disappointed and appalled at how my wife was treated on a day that was supposed to be stress free and our wedding day nonetheless. Additionally, our guests were not given our hotel welcome bags we spent time and money on. The hotel shuttle was a mess and the hotel was very stingy with giving guests toilet paper. Clean and a typical Fairfield. However, the shuttle to the airport was 15 minutes late for the 5:30 am shuttle! There were four of us waiting including a pilot who is now going to be late. No explanation and didn't seem to care. The other reason for one star is the elevator. The sound for the "bing" for arrivals on the floor is set super loud. So loud that you can hear it in the rooms 4-5 doors away from it. Not good when people are leaving at 4:00 for the airport. read more

The Fairfield Inn & Suites near BWI airport is the newest Marriott brand hotel in the area. I remember when they were doing construction a couple years back when I was at the next door Courtyard. This Fairfield Inn & Suites is similar to the other Fairfield Inn brands that I stayed at other locations. Very modern interior design with a lot of space. The King size bed room was very comfortable and spacious. The work area was excellent for what I needed. The bathroom was also spacious and modern with the granite counter. It had a nice shower, which is a plus, instead of the tub/shower combo. There is also a microwave to heat up stuff and a mini-fridge to keep things cold. There is also this blue sofa couch thing that was unique to this Fairfield Inn haha. The breakfast was your typical easy breakfast like other Fairfield Inn I been to: cereal, waffle maker, breads, pastries, juices, etc. The dining area was nice and the lobby was definitely unique. The indoor pool is something I need to try next time. Overall I would stay at this Fairfield Inn when I am in the area. Some of the pluses to me are: 10 points/$ spent on room, mini-fridge and microwave in the room, free breakfast, modern and spacious, coffee available any time in the lobby and comfortable room. The only downside that made this place not a 5 on my review is that there is only one entrance on the road to get in and out which can be a pain at times when there is a bus trying to get in and out. Fairfield Inn is a great place to stay with the benefits of a microwave and mini-fridge that long term stay hotels have but also give 10 points/$ compared to the 5 points/$ that long term stay hotels like Residence Inn and Towneplace Suites gives. read more

The staff is amazing. Daya checked us in and out and I can honestly say she is a treasure in the industry. Our room was a king suite. It was very comfortable and relaxing. The hotel is very quiet and located close to everything. There is a shuttle to the airport on the half hour which is nice and they have flight schedules in the lobby. This is a solid place to stay. This hotel is TERRIBLE!!! Paid for a "stay-and-fly" through a third-party vendor. Upon arrival at the hotel, we notified the front desk of our departure time and desire for the shuttle the next morning (you know, the service we paid for). The shuttle never showed. The front desk staff was clueless and incompetent. After much coercing, they finally mustered a shuttle and we barely made the flight. Then, upon return, the shuttle would not pick up people at the ARRIVALS corridor at BWI. Again, incompetent front desk clerk Maria M. said it was physically impossible for the shuttle to pick people up at the CLEARLY LABELED "Shuttles/Ground Transportation" portion of BWI. Apparently, the shuttle drivers of Hilton, Hyatt, and Holiday Inn have somehow figured out how to defy physics because those shuttles were there. To top it off, I called Marriotts corporate line to file an official complaint, but after a lengthy hold the associate picked up the phone and immediately hung up without taking the call. Terrible customer service has been synonymous with the Marriott brand. Save yourself the hassle and spend your money at Hilton. I will NEVER stay at a Marriott property again!!! read more

I had a wonderful stay here during the week for work. All of the employees I encountered were very friendly. I had zero problems at check in - it could not have been easier. I was extremely happy with housekeeping. It's so nice to come back after working all day to a nicely made, fluffy bed, and fully stocked bathroom. I did have issues with the hair dryer in my room. It kept crapping out while I was using it so I would have to turn it off for a few minutes. I loved the free breakfast! Eggs, fresh waffles, sausage or bacon, toast, English muffins, oatmeal, a variety of cereals, yogurt, fruit, juice and coffee. The space was always kept neat and tidy. The entire hotel was very clean and modern. There was plenty of free parking and while I didn't have to use the shuttle, I noticed it was pretty much always available. We had a fantastic one night stay at the Fairfield Inn & Suites when we were in town to catch a Cubs vs. Orioles game. I love that there is a free shuttle to many local locations and I loved the friendliness of the staff. Wifi and parking are free at this location and a decent breakfast is also included in the morning (oatmeal, waffles, eggs, sausage, bacon, cereal, etc.) with good coffee. Our room was spacious and the toiletries were high-end brands. The room was clean, easy to access, had a comfortable bed, and a mini fridge. Had a little trouble @ check-in, I had been okayed for an early check-in and it took a few minutes to track down the housekeeping supervisor to get an update on what was available - but the front desk lady was very apologetic and did a great job of getting me in as fast as she could. Shuttle was excellent both to and from the airport. A note - BWI shuttles are bass ackwards, they do not pick-up outside baggage claim like normal airports - hotel shuttles pick up on the outside island at the upper (arrivals) level. Room was very clean and comfortable and all staff I came in contact with were very friendly and accomodating. So this is as good as it gets ; for a Fairfield Inn anyway. Flew into BWI late on a Thursday, passing through to DC. Booked a last-minute room at the Fairfield Inn. Turns out that NO food is open (with a scarce few exceptions) at 11:30PM on a Thursday in Linthicum Heights. No matter! The friendly night receptionist and I chatted for a few minutes about this fact until she suggested that the free shuttle provided by the hotel could run me through the nearby 24Hr McDonald's drive-through (which I almost walked to, before I called and found that the lobby was closed). We chatted some more and about 10 minutes later, the shuttle appeared. The driver was also friendly and took me right over to get some food. As for the hotel experience itself: exactly as advertised. Nice, clean room, big bed, slick standing shower with a big glass door (I thought it was kinda classy!), free internet, convenient power outlets (it's amazing how many hotels suck at this), etc. The room was inexpensive and I got everything I needed/expected and a little bit more. There was even a fridge and microwave (not that they helped me, but it's good to have in a hotel room). If I'm ever flying through BWI again and need to place to crash for the night, I would definitely come here again! read more

I checked in here late last night and checked out less than 9 hrs later to head to the airport. The overnight hostess was a little too casual, didn't greet me immediately, although I was super tired, so just about anything was going to rub me the wrong way. The room--including the bathroom--was spacious, clean and odorless. Beds were comfortable, I slept great! Shower was nice and hot, with good water pressure. Breakfast options were middling, they did have scrambled eggs and bacon that looked edible, along with your standard cereal, pastries, fruit and hard boiled eggs. I wish they had milk by the coffee--only half and half was available. (I know they had cartons for the cereal, but I didn't want to open a whole carton for just a little milk to go in my coffee). My husband and I stayed here when we were in town for a family funeral, and it was really nice to have a comfortable bed and the amenities that this place has when we were feeling overwhelmed and stressed. We had requested an early check in and arrived at noon. Our original room wasn't ready but the person helping us (I believe it was the sales director) didn't sweat it and got us a room quickly. When he asked what we were in town for and we told him the reason, he even gave us a discount. Yes, this place has a bereavement rate and it was much appreciated. Our room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the free continental breakfast was delicious. No complaints at all. I also want to note that this place is really close to BWI so I'd recommend it for if you need a place to stay before or after a trip. I think they also offer a rate for parking your car there while you're away. And off being so close to the airport, you can't hear the sounds coming from there, which was great. read more

We stayed for NYE to prevent having to drive an hour back home after going to a nearby party for the evening. We were greeted by the manager as soon as we entered, he was very friendly, smiling and sincere in ensuring we felt like valued customers. The hotel itself is beautiful, one of the best Fairfields we've ever stayed in. It was clean and perfectly decorated for form, function and comfort. The room was PERFECT! Bed was amazing! There were no stains, marks or anything disgusting in the room, as there typically are in lower priced hotel rooms. The bathroom was immaculate as well! The only issue we encountered was that they have limited parking spaces and it seems they might allow people flying out to park there, as we left and returned around 2:30AM only to find every spot taken! There were about 10 - 15 cars in all that had no place to park and we were one of them. We had to park along a curb right outside the front door. When we mentioned this to the lady at the desk overnight, she said it was fine, as long as it wasn't blocking and we weren't there too long the next day. She took our room number and said she'd call if the car needed to be moved. Problem I have with this is... If I were to get that call and wake my up overnight for something like this, this review would have dropped to 1 star. I HIGHLY suggest they fix the parking situation, and QUICK! The workout room was stocked with very nice LifeFitness equipment too! We do stay in this area often for overnight business trips, etc... Were just here two weeks ago and chose a Sheraton. Did not recognize that I was a reward member on check in. Called for pick up at airport as soon as we got our luggage. Had to call a second time. Waited over 30 min for pick up. This hotel is owned by same group that owns Staybridge suites and Holiday Inn Express at BWI. Will not stay again read more
