View from pool from gym

We had an early morning flight out of BWI and I was trying to find a safe hotel nearby it. We rented a car and this location was 8 mins away. Parking was free and even though it was outside and not covered, the neighborhood seemed safe. The kids loved the pool although they wished there was a hot tub too. I liked it because I could work out in the gym and could keep an eye on them (..there's a glass wall between the gym and pool area). The pool area was clean. The deepest end is 4'6". Pool towels are also provided. The gym had two treadmills and one elliptical. One treadmill's TV wouldn't connect to the TV. The elliptical wasn't working. There were various sized dumbbells and medicine balls. Towels and Clorox wipes were available. In the lobby, there's two boards with updated info on flights. There's also a small pantry with snacks and drinks for purchase. Also some alcoholic drinks stocked too. Breakfast provided but we weren't able to try it. I am so grateful about the washer and dryer! After the kids used the pool, it was nice to use the dryer to dry their swimsuits instead of lugging back wet swim clothes in our luggage. PLUS, it was free to use! You'll have to purchase dryer sheets and laundry detergent (located in the lobby store). There's another Yelp review about the loud toilet flush. And we did notice this too. The TV can connect to Netflix.. you just need your own account. But there's regular cable TV for free. I thought you could check out from the TV or app but there wasn't this option. But it was way enough to check out from the front desk. I'd definitely recommend

This was another one of my short stays for comfort Vice sitting around the airport for hours, especially overnight. The room was awesome and would be a reason I target this Marriott brand in the future. There is a 24 "Mart" next to the front desk in case you want the eat or drink or both, plus necessities. My only grip was when it came to scheduling the shuttle the following morning. There was a disconnect between the front desk and the driver and they eventually had to call me a Lyft. I made my flight, so I guess all is well, but a seriously comfortable looking room.

I guessed I wrote my review too soon. Everything turned south afterwards. At 11:45 pm, another guest was incorrectly given my room key. He was drunk and opened my door with his room key, and started yelling and screaming asking what I was doing in his room. It was quite a frightening experience. The front desk told me to speak to the manager on Monday, as he does not work on the weekend. I called Leon Monday morning and he said he would issue me a credit back to Expedia (even though I booked through Hotels.com), but I need to call Hotels.com to claim the credit. I told him that it is not easy to speak to someone from Hotels.com and I asked for other alternatives. He said he would get back to me later that day. I am very disappointed to find out that it is just a lie or the manager does not even care. He never called back that day. I had no choice but had to spend three hours on the phone with Hotels.com. A guest should not have to go through this given an unacceptable error from the hotel. In addition, when I went to the gym working out in the morning, there is no sanitizing wipes or gels. I was told that the gym was cleaned between each reservations. How could there be no gel or wipes? Isn't it a violation to CDC guideline? Breakfast is included but there was pretty nothing there. No fruit, no bagels, no yogurts. It is ridiculous.

Tea Tree!

I booked a last minute trip to Baltimore for a family emergency, and ended up staying at the Fairfield Inn for 6 nights. When I checked-in, I was pleasantly surprised to be upgraded to studio room 217 due to my Marriott Bonvoy status. Overall, the stay was sufficient. The front desk staff was friendly, and Claudia from housekeeping was very attentive and addressed my concerns. (Apparently the fitted sheet and mattress pad was dirty and she immediately changed them.) The Tea Tree bath products were a nice touch. Hot coffee was available all day even at 4pm! And the WiFi was very strong bc I was able to stream my Netflix shows without any problems. Unfortunately, my gripe with the stay was that room renovations had been conducted throughout the week. Construction started around 8am (9am on Saturday), and being from the West Coast, my attempts to sleep-in were futile bc of the noise. The banging of the hammer, the moving of the furniture into the hall, and the constant conversations of the workers in the hallway and in the adjacent rooms. Prior to booking this trip, the website had indicated that there was parking lot construction. Had the website also said that renovations were being done to the rooms throughout the hotel, I would have stayed elsewhere.

Shower in room #1

I stopped by here tonight for a two night stay with my wife. Whenever I first arrived I thought that it looked like a pretty nice hotel and was excited to be staying there. However after I went for a run and got into the shower I noticed a clump of black stuff near the door which was either mold (my guess but I can't prove) or some type of dirt/dark substance which could easily be cleaned up. I took both pictures of video of it coming up onto a wash rag and proceeded downstairs to ask for another room. Ryan at the front desk was nice enough and got me another room. So you can imagine my surprise whenever I walked into this room 2 floors above the first and a similar, if not the same substance was there. I once again took pictures and video of it including me getting it up with a washcloth. Since it was 7 PM on a Friday night we weren't able to get the GM on the line but you can bet I didn't want to stay there. I was offered a staybridge suites or holiday inn express (both IHG which I dislike) and demanded something comparable. They eventually got me another Fairfield inn 15 minutes away and said they are going to refund me. I will also supposedly be able to talk to the GM tomorrow. As you may have guessed, the bottom line for me is that I wouldn't stay here again in the future. The black substance found in both showers was disgusting and while I strongly believe it to be mold, it may have been some other substance which should have easily been cleaned up.

A little partition to seperate work area from bed in the studio sized room

Are you traveling to Baltimore, Maryland soon and looking for a comfortable hotel stay for your family? Check out Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Baltimore BWI Airport. Fairfield by Marriott is known to offer budget friendly hospitality while helping guests have an amazing stay. Here is what I enjoyed most about my stay with my husband and our daughter: *Great Location near airport and short distance from Downtown Baltimore, Annapolis, DC *Free Breakfast, WI-FI Included *Fitness Center + Pool *Modern Decor *Clean, Comfortable Rooms *Quiet, which allowed for a peaceful night and restful sleep *No pets allowed I was there for a one night stay and checked in on a Saturday. My room type was a King Studio which was fine for 2 adults and one child because it still offered a sofa bed. Our kid was happy to see that although there was no seperate room for her, the room still had two tvs so that we can each watch what we like!

The staff is amazing. Daya checked us in and out and I can honestly say she is a treasure in the industry. Our room was a king suite. It was very comfortable and relaxing. The hotel is very quiet and located close to everything. There is a shuttle to the airport on the half hour which is nice and they have flight schedules in the lobby. This is a solid place to stay. This will be my place to stay in Baltimore when I visit again.

There was plenty of free parking and while I didn't have to use the shuttle, I noticed it was pretty much always available.

I could hear "beep, beep, beep" from outside as some industrial vehicles backed up or whatever they were doing. I finally fell back to sleep, from exhaustion, about 3;30AM. The noise never abated, a downer. The sleep interruption defeated the purpose of my stay. I was catching an early flight and didn't want to be tired by getting up at the crack of dawn. Instead I had a miserable sleep night here. Your sleep may not be interrupted if you are on one of the other 3 sides of the hotel. The shower in 534 was nice, a walk-in no tub, with good water pressure.Breakfast starts at 6AM. The service was fast and the food was good. The rooms still have a mini refrigerator & microwave.

While I found the room to be decent, I found the hotel to lack proper amenities. First, when we arrived at BWI, we called the hotel for the "free shuttle" to the hotel. The staff was borderline rude and not so communicative. They just told us to go wait at certain door (and not the hotel pickup location at the airport). I came to find out later that their shuttle was broken, so the hotel ended up booking individual Lyft ride for everyone of their single guest to/from the hotel. So, when this was not properly communicated clearly to customers, it caused a lot of confusion when trying to find out where to get on a vehicle/what to look for when trying to get to the hotel. This should be communicated more clearly. Second, the communications from the hotel had been horrible. Staff who picked up the phone (before arrival and at time of check in) had been rude. there was no introduction of their name and the hotel's name. It was more like Hello...what are you calling us for sense of feeling! Third, I asked for specific check in instruction as my checkin timeline was a little weird due to the redeye flight I was taking. I was told they would take care of it and I was taken care of...but right before my flight took off to BWI, I had an inkling feeling, so I called the hotel to confirm my stay and ability to check in. Turned out, nothing about my communications was relayed to the team and if I hadn't called ahead before my flight again, they would likely cancel my accommodation. What a disaster. Lastly, the hotel lacked proper amenities. There was no restaurant operating and the hotel area wasn't really walkable, so it was hard to get some food...you'd have to do ubereats/doordash things to get food to you. Personally, I picked this hotel because of the credit card features and the hotel status I had with Hilton. But, if I had a choice, I would personally check out other hotels first.

Man... the are some of the worst and the fact they actually use king pillows in the king room make it worse. I had them stacked like a 3x3 from In and Out burger and my head was still close to the mattress with the pillows curling up to cover my ears... terrible. Despite Pillowgate, this hotel was pretty good. They have a decent restaurant/bar in the lobby, a concierge lounge for Platinum and up members, and a hotel shuttle. The lounge had breakfast and evening snacks which was nice. And coffee, water, and soda pop all day long (till they close at 10p). But after staying two nights and three days, I feel it's important to share some concerns that future guests--and management--should be aware of. 1. The Beds: Easily the biggest issue. The beds were incredibly uncomfortable--so firm it felt like sleeping on plywood. I woke up sore each day and actually had to take medication to deal with the stiffness. Even after returning home, the soreness lingered. 2. Misleading Info About the Pool: The indoor pool was a key reason we chose this hotel, especially with my kids having a nearby ball tournament. Unfortunately, the pool was closed, and there was no mention of this on the website, during booking, or at check-in. The kids were really disappointed, and so was I. 3. Cleanliness of the Bathroom: There were visible stains on the wall and baseboards near the toilet--looked like urine splatter. Also, the toilet paper was incredibly rough. Honestly, it felt like sandpaper. 4. Bathtub Issues: The tub had a constant drip and looked like it had been DIY-patched with multiple types of paint and caulk. It looked grimy and poorly maintained. 5. Shower Steam Problem: After showering, the bathroom ceiling would turn brown from the steam--definitely not something you want to see when you're trying to feel clean. 6. Lack of Amenities: No ice machines or vending machines. The only option was an overpriced shop in the lobby. 7. Cold and Repetitive Breakfast: Breakfast was mediocre at best--served cold, and they ran out of the main protein (pork for the breakfast burritos) on Saturday. My kids said the exact same menu and issues happened again Sunday. 8. Exterior Door Access Issues: The rear entrance (near our room) stopped accepting our key card the morning we checked out--around 8 a.m., well before checkout time. It was frustrating having to walk all the way around the building just to get back in after loading the car. With a little more attention to maintenance, cleanliness, and communication, this hotel could offer a much better guest experience. Until then, I can't recommend it for extended stays.

Lastly, make sure to keep your reservation to ensure you aren't charged incorrectly as there seems to be a problem in their in house billing department.
