Check in was easy and fast! We arrived early and checked in, our room was not ready but that was expected. They pre-registered us and off to the water park we went. By 1:00 we received a text our room was ready. The staff was all extremely nice! I don't think we ever passed an employee without a "hello!" We stayed on the 10th floor and I thought it was worth the extra money for the drinks and snacks they provide. They say light snacks, some people came in looking for full meals and endless food. It's not an all you can eat buffet. The girls that worked in there were so nice and accommodating. The only negative I have is they do not have enough beach chairs and umbrellas for the hotel guest. If you don't put your towels out early, you are not getting one. read more

Upgraded room to a suite, was spacious, nice view of beach; however, after a long day on the rides we went to the hot tub for 30 minutes. Left cash on the table and night stand, didn't think housekeeping was coming late in the day, upon returning the cash was gone, nothing was cleaned but we had a handwritten note stating, "Don't make bed" We filed a police report, management said, "we have been having issues with staff this summer taking cash thinking it is a tip" We were not due to check out until the next day. Although management stated they could read who entered our room nothing was resolved and they didn't say anything to us after we filed the police report. A maid actually stopped at our room after we filed the report asking us if we needed "towels" I was really confused at that point and concerned she was at our room to clean it, then who entered the room? My bad for leaving cash out however this has never happened to me before, not even in Vegas and I travel quite a bit. If you stay here LOCK it UP! Management could have offered something, maid has $250 "tip" foreigners are hired, speak very little English with bad attitudes. Room was not clean upon arrival - we paid for 3 rooms for 2 nights for us and for 4 family members. This hotel is all about the nice location right on the beach/Lake Erie and next to Cedar Point. My son is a roller coaster enthusiast so I thought I would surprise him for his birthday with his dream trip to Cedar Point. When I booked through Expedia I noted that I would like a room with a view of the park. Upon checking in with the front desk I confirmed that the room DID indeed have a view of the park. When entering the room (3327) the view looked straight into the adjacent building wall. I called the front desk and was told they DID have rooms available but need the manager to approve the switch. I was then transferred to the manager (Brandon?) and was told I could not switch rooms because I booked through Expedia and that the block of (Expedia) rooms are all in the same building and have no views (I checked Expedia's room description and it did not state NO VIEWS). I was told if I wanted to switch rooms I would need to contact Expedia, cancel my reservation and re-book through the hotel for the current rate, I told him I didn't want to take time away from our short vacation to revise reservations. He told me there's nothing he could do and that my only choice was to stay in the assigned room. LIES, I'm sure! I was not going to argue because it was clearly a power trip. The room was a cracker box, so small. Clean but outdated, no coffee maker, wobbly toilet, no towel racks and the blow dryer did not work. Unacceptable for the rates they charge. The only thing good about this hotel was its convenience to Cedar Pointe amusement park. We paid $400 per night for our small one bedroom, which included a small living room space. Our adult children paid over $300 per night for their room that had 2 Queen beds. We had been out of our room since 7:30 am and expected our rooms to be cleaned by the time we returned to rest before dinner as the four grandchildren needed some down time. However, upon returning at 3:00 pm none of our rooms had yet been cleaned and the cleaning staff leaves at 4:00 pm. The old fashioned air conditioners were noisy all night and the room was either too hot or too cold with them blowing. The restaurants in the hotel do not serve very good food and you cannot charge anything to your rooms. The pillows are awful and so are the beds. Bottom line, this place is not worth the money. For $400 per night, you can stay in a much more upscale hotel. read more

We stayed at Hotel Breakers at Cedar Point in September. The hotel staff told me I could keep my valuables in the hotel safe when I went into Cedar Point Amusement Park. I placed my wallet with credit and debit cards and about two hundred dollars in cash in the safe. Unfortunately when we checked out, I left my wallet in the safe. I contacted the hotel when I got home to have them mail the wallet to me. They said they checked the room and there was no wallet in the safe! SOMEONE AT THE HOTEL IS A THEIF - I HAVE THREE PEOPLE THAT WATCHED ME PLACE MY WALLET INNTHE SAFE! The hotel management said "if your wallet turns up, we'll call you" THIS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE! Pros: right on the beach, they'll hold your luggage and you can use the pools/ beach until check in, couple restaurants on site, packages available for park tickets with early access. Cons: 1- outdated. You'd think a place like this makes zillions. It's outdated decor/feel is noticed in the lobby. The couches are visibly dirty from the thousands people using them. The carpet with the swirly design you can imagine is many shades darker than it should be. 2- in need of serious deep clean. As noted above, the rooms are similar fashion. It's not dirty dirty per se but you can tell housekeeping is outsourced, paid by the number of rooms they clean and not by the hour. Our room was not dusted, mopped, wiped down, or sanitized. I travel with a pack of antibacterial wipes and hand vacuum thank goodness because I had to do my own complete wipe down upon entry the dust was visible on the dresser, night stand, etc. and you could tell it was just put back together to appear "cleaned". The TGI Friday's on site was in SERIOUS need of a deep clean and the Perkins was eh. 3- amenities=none. For over $300 a night on a weekday you get a small basic room. That's it's. There's free wifi but it's super slow and unreliable. So you're pretty much paying for the location. Overall it's an eh for me. First time staying at cedar point. read more

We stayed at Hotel Breakers for Memorial Day weekend and of the 48 hours spent on the island, 25 of them were spent in Cedar Point (my legs were killing me after all that walking). So, needless to say, all I cared about was a good bed, the rest didn't really matter. That's where Hotel Breakers failed. The bed is like sleeping on a taut trampoline. It was sufficient, but hardly comfortable. I explained my disappointment to one of the staff members, and their response was "we get that a lot." So if you're going to spend literally over 50% of your trip walking and riding roller coasters, you might want to find a place nearby with a more comfortable bed so you can spend minimal time getting well rested for the next day. The bed is the single biggest factor for me, but here's the rest: The hotel is very nostalgic of the time it was built, which I found appealing and interesting. We stayed in one of the new wings, so our room seemed better insulated than the main lobby. The stores in the hotel had a wide selection. Perkins had great food, Friday's had great drinks, but Tomo on the other hand was mediocre for being a Hibachi grill. Don't get me wrong, the food tasted great, but it was certainly overpriced and underwhelming. The distance to Cedar Point is unbeatable. Less than a two minute walk to the beach entrance and it was right up against the beach. It had multiple pools, but we didn't make use of them. It has an arcade, and an ice cream shop as well. For the price, it's missing a modern TV (tube TV, lots of static), functional wifi, and... A GOOD BED. Of course, it's impossible to stay any closer to the park anywhere else. I read the reviews before we took our trip, so I was prepared for what I was going to get. The best part of Hotel Breakers is that it is so close to Cedar Point. The beach is very clean and having 3 pools to choose from is very nice as well. There must be an insect problem around Lake Erie though. On our first day we went to sit by the pool and I was so grossed out by all the cobwebs on the lounge chairs. I mean, it's gross. I didn't want to sit on them at all. The main hotel (the 100 year old one) has hornets nests attached to the eaves just above guest's windows. There is also a ton of seagull poop everywhere. They do try to keep that cleaned up. Each morning we did see staff members scrubbing the sidewalks and taking down webs with brooms. The room was a C-. The bedding is outdated, as well as the bathroom, but if you can see beyond all this, you'd still have a nice time. read more

Overall this hotel is a cute, cozy, and somewhat outdated. The hotel itself is a unique experience. Along with an arcade, an outdoor and indoor pool, jacuzzis, 4 distinct restaurants, Starbucks, Dominoes delivery, 2 minute beach and park walking distance, and a decent sized parking lot; the interior design is very vintage. The rooms are not the most comfortable nor sanitary as I found I mosquito in my uncomfortable bed sheets. The furniture feels cheep and the amenities were...ok. The dry kitchen has out dated appliances, the only draws were small, the open closet had no hangers but did have clothes hooks and 2 large shelves, my family struggled with counter space with the only open table being used by my computer. The bathroom is SMALL one sink, small counter space, the door almost hits the toilet, the fan in my bathroom didn't have much ventilation, and the shower is behind the door. All in all the only reason why I stayed at this hotel is to get easy access to the park. read more

We are currently staying here from August 2nd - 5th and have had 5 fire alarms go off in the hotel at all hours of the day and night (with a 3 and 5 year old being scared out of their minds). The manager in charge was very rude to guests and was not willing to comp or help customers in their east wing. At one point she said we could move to an unaffected wing but it would be an upgrade and we would have to pay for it. If this is how customer service works at breakers I will not be staying here again. We are eating at the Breakers restaurants and drinking their drinks, supporting this business and paying for the conveniences it offers. But when my kids go to bed fearing the fire alarm (making me promise to rush my shower in case we have to run out the door) and the best the customer service can say is "it's being worked on", that is unacceptable and highly disappointing for such an otherwise professional establishment. This could have been a good experience if we were treated like customers instead of a paycheck. In the end, my son had nightmares and we all lost a lot of sleep and patience. You must be there for your customers through the good and bad. read more

Combined review of Breakers/Cedar point Amusement Park. CONS: Full disclosure: I did no research on this hotel when my wife booked it for a 2 day stay for us and our 2 boys to spend at Cedar point. If I had, I might have learned that there are no coffee makers in the rooms. For 2 all-day coffee drinkers, this is unacceptable. Starbucks and Perkins at the far end of this large hotel are the only choices. I don't mind Starbucks, but not at the ridiculously high resort prices. And I can't even function enough to risk leaving the room without having at least 1 cup first. (maybe says more about me than the hotel) I've not stayed at a hotel in recent memory that didn't have coffee in the room. When we got in the park and decided to have lunch at Johnny Rockets, a DINER, we thought surely we could get a cup of coffee. Nope, their coffee maker had been "broken, for some time". Really!? What DINER doesn't have coffee!? Later, with our sushi dinner at the in-house Japanese Hibachi restaurant, we wanted tea. "Sorry, we do not serve tea. Really!? What Asian restaurant doesn't serve tea!? Also, portions were small. We went out and bought an $8 coffee maker at Family Dollar in Sandusky. We also ate at Perkins and the TGIFridays in the hotel. While convenient, the food was not great and much more expensive than you would pay at those restaurants outside the resort. The meal plan is also a terrible waste of money. Don't do it! Before you go the the park, stop at Kroger in Sandusky and stock up. They have everything you need. Even sushi, beer, wine, etc. you will save so much money and eat so much better than at the hotel/park. Don't buy food/drink in the park. Really nothing unique there. Every food vendor is supposed to give you a free (small) cup of ice water. There are also drinking fountains outside most restrooms. The rides are inconsistent in what they let you store in a bin before you ride. Signage may have been there to reveal this. (I did later notice notes on the map's key) If it was, I and lots of other people missed them. Some rides were shoes only, some were shoes and other loose items. I saw lots of people tuned away after waiting in line because they were not allowed to leave their expensive souvenir cup or other items in a bin. They expected you to leave those items in a locker$$$, or with a non rider. I don't take non riders to amusement parks and I'm not paying for a locker. Someone needs to visit Hersheypark. They do it right. Was just there last week. Never had a problem leaving my hat and glasses in a bin. CP's big soaking log floom ride had no provision to leave your shoes or anything else you didn't want to get wet. They did have a big family turbo dryers for $5 at the ride exit though. COME ON! Really!? PROS: Hotel Breakers is incredibly convenient for entry/re-entry to the amusement park and Water park. Easy to take a break in your very well a/c'd room. Wifi was just ok in our room, very good through the whole park. You also get an hour early entry to get on a few of the popular rides before general admission. The beach is amazing. (I don't like beaches in general) But the sand was clean, with lots of Volleyball, beanbag (cornhole) games, and night time glow games, DJ, fire rings. Fireworks every night at 11. Being a freshwater beach, there are really no waves, but nice because no salt,seaweed, shells to cut your feet, or crabs pinching your toes. Each morning when we entered the park at 9, the park opened to the playing of the National Anthem. Nice touch. I give the coaster and beach 5 stars, everything else 2. So average 3.5. I would stay here again for the convenience, I would definitely plan meals better though. Both parks are very good. The coasters are the biggest and best I've ridden. And I've ridden them all at Hershypark, bush gardens VA, universal, disneyworld, canadas wonderland. The water park has 2 lazy rivers and a bunch of slides and splash/play areas. The convenience of being able to access the park was fantastic! The staff was friendly (for the most part) but there were some issues. First, we checked into the hotel and went to our rooms. I always pull back the sheets. We had 2 rooms so I had my kids do the same. There was a blood stain in the middle of the bed! I was disgusted and immediately called the front desk. The attendant came quickly, changed the sheets, and apologized. I went to the front desk to speak with a manager. She apologized and gave us 15% off one room, which was the equivalent of $97. We left for the evening. We were all exhausted and I wanted to take a shower before heading to bed. I pull back the curtain and there's hair in the tub! It's 11:30 at night and we rinsed it out. By now I'm beyond disgusted! The next morning, we get ready for the day and attempt to turn the tv on. Nothing. Called the front desk and maintenance brought us a new remote. For the price of this place, I was disappointed. I can't believe the lack of cleanliness for a so-called resort! read more

We just had a very nice dinner at the Tomo sushi restaurant (myself and my girlfriend) and on the way out my lady needed to use the restroom. Some grumpy lady who worked at the hotel went into the restroom and came out immediately (presumably waiting to clean it). She stood there audibly mumbling things under her breath until my gf left the restroom (about 3-4 minutes). She then had the AUDACITY to look at her and say "Jesus Christ what happened? Did you fall in?" It was spoken in a very rude tone. I then proceeded to try and call the hotel, where I waited on hold, twice, for over 15 minutes without speaking to anyone. read more

Unfortunately, during our stay, they had just started doing renovations. It was noisy, cluttered and unpleasant. One pool was closed and access to the beach was blocked. The area of the hotel we stayed in did not have AC in the hallways and they had no elevators. Definitely lots of potential for this place. So the hotel was nice. Had multiple pools, hottubs, an arcade, a few restaurants, shops, etc... Price was high but expected given the location and time of year. The Good: Friendly staff. Lifeguards at every pool. Perkins (diner), TGI Fridays and Japanese Steak House on site. Parking reimbursement. Cheaper park tickets and you can enter the park an hour early. Laundromat. MiniFridge in room. Walking distance to the park. The Bad: Housekeeping opened my pocket knife and then left it open on the mini-fridge. This was a point of frustration since there was a 7 year old in the room who could've been cut by it. Also we noticed a lot of our personal items tossed on the floor after housekeeping had come by which was odd. Ceiling was leaking when it rained and we weren't on the top floor. Left a message with the front desk and they said they'd call a repair man. I asked when he'd be by and she said she didn't know, the best she said she could do was leave him a voicemail. A plumber came by and said it wasn't the plumbing so he would have to call someone else to fix it. No one else came by in the few remaining days we were there. WiFi did not work even with the front desk trying to help. The prices at the hotel were the same as at the park. I went to the gift shop and assumed the Cedar Point items would be the same price but $5 for a 20oz bottle of water or $4 for a 12oz PowerAde??? I was annoyed they the food prices were the same as the park given I can't see any reason other than they know people will pay it if they must. All and all, would I stay here again? Yes but I would plan differently. I would make sure to stop by Meijer's or Wal-Mart in Sandusky on the way in for groceries. I would take maintenance concerns to the front desk instead of calling. I imagine if they thought other customers would hear me talking about concerns with my room they would be more likely to fix the issue or relocate us. I would leave my personal items in a bag or suitcase when housekeeping was going to be there. That said, we were given 20% off of one of our nights (we stayed 3) for the above mentioned. A nice offering but I think they could've done better and should've taken 20% off our total bill but that's simply my opinion. read more

Let me preface this by saying I've stayed at nearly every hotel property in the Cedar Point vicinity, and an important fact to remember is the seasonality of the area. Everything revolves around Cedar Point's operating calendar, and shuts down in the off-season, meaning you need to measure things by a different bar because the workforce is all temporary. With that out of the way, I can say Breakers is our family's favorite place to stay when traveling to Cedar Point. You just can't beat the convenience, and it makes a huge difference when you're pedal-to-the-metal at a theme park all day. One parent being able to walk a grumpy kid up to the room for a nap while the others keep having fun can be the difference between a magical weekend and a disastrous meltdown. Or running upstairs for a quick sandwich and soft drink (or adult beverage) in the room overlooking the crashing waves and sugary sand beach vs. having to eat every meal with park crowds and prices. The kids love the pools, and the grown-ups love white gummi bear shots at TGIFridays and strolling down the boardwalk to the nostalgic doo-wop tunes that abound. Are the rooms themselves 4-star? No, but they're more than adequate and nicer than 95% of your other area options. And, you're at the best amusement park on earth so you shouldn't be spending much time in your room anyway!!! They do have lots of different room configurations, so do your homework and find one that suits your group. I avoid the Bon Aire section which is the oldest. Are the prices rock bottom? Again, no, but they vary a lot throughout the season & by room type. Here's a tip I might kick myself for saying, but do some research and book as early as you can, paying special attention to date ranges when prices are lowest because not only do you save some $$, but this is a great indicator of expected crowd volumes. Lower rate = smaller crowd = better experience at the park = win-win. If you have a Platinum Pass, you'll also get a discount on your room which again varies with demand, but if you play cards right, it can be very economical to stay here. This hotel evokes nothing but priceless treasured memories for me and my loved ones, and I wouldn't trade one stay here for 10,000 stays at The Four Seasons. If we don't stay at Breakers, our other faves in the area are Kalahari and Sawmill Creek Lodge. And... Don't miss Thirsty Pony while you're here. It's lovably, shamelessly kitschy and the food is fantastic! read more

I can deal with an "old" "c;assoc " feel. but when the rooms and bathrooms are dirty and dingy, theres where the line is drawn. I am not muich of a complainer. and i rarely give bad yelp reveiews, but this place is horrible.l If you are looking for a horrible night sleep, if you are lookinjg to feel dirty after staying here or are looking for a moldly smeeling room this si your place. The beds are the worst bed I have even encountered. they are rock hard. The sheets. omg where do I start. These cheap owners couldnt even spare an extra couple dollar for nice sheets. I wore clothes to bed, thats how dirty the sheets felt. The rooms smelled like miold and mildew, wall paper was pealing and dirty and the carpets smelled and were so dirty. This review is for the hotel only, not the park. I got a standard room with two queen beds for me and my hubby (it was a good plan, he snores sometimes). The main room is a decent size with a nice TV and a desk with two chairs. The bathroom however, is TINY. If you open the door you're basically hugging the door while you use the toilet which is a little weird. So close the door, which I guess is just good manners. Shower had a tub but the water pressure was terrible but that's a standard for most hotels these days. Here's the worst thing about this hotel- the beds are like sleeping on a rock. I'm not exaggerating, there was NO give to the mattress. I like a softer mattress so this almost made me sore. We also tried all the restaurants which I may or may not do separate reviews for. Oh and also, not all the floors have vending machines and some of the machines are cash only. So the hotel is just okay IMO- the main draw is being on the water and the ability to go into the park an hour early. But don't stay more than a night or two or your back may never recover. Unlike 90% of such restaurants, we were served no salad, no ginger sauce, no shrimp appetizer, and no zucchini with our meal. Despite asking, there were no chop sticks either. The price was, though, the same higher price as comparably-named places with a kids meal with drink over $12 and adult Filet Mignon and pop $31. No 'mo coming here for me. read more

Now there are a lot of expectations when you pay premium prices. My family and I truly enjoyed the stay at Hotel Breakers. This isn't just a location thing. They have established a vacation escape. You can rent jet skis/wave runners. Charter a fishing trip. There are pools outside. There's the beach. We enjoyed the bar. We ate at 2 of the three restaurants inside the hotel bit pricey but service and food was on the spot. The kids went to bed time stories with snoopy in the evening. That was very sweet and enjoyable. My wife really liked the coffee at Starbucks. This is a place that you would want to come to not have to do anything but have a good time. Just remember to save the money to afford this type of service. We really enjoyed it. We will do it again and I would say it is the best place in the area to stay at. There are more economical options if you just can't bring yourself to pay these prices. We had a great time though. read more

OMG, thank you for the renovations!!! The last two times we visited CP and lodged at Breakers, our stay was barely endurable...dirty, damp, hot, etc. This time, however, score! The entire experience has been pleasant, from the smooth and fast check-in process, to the clean and cool room, and the exceptionally kid-friendly concierge lounge. I commend management on their efforts, even if they were about five years after needed. Staff has been so friendly and helpful, I thought we were in Texas. Hotel Breakers has renewed my faith and this will be our future choice for lodging when enjoying "The Roller Coast." read more

My boyfriend and I stayed at this hotel for three nights during our trip to Cedar Point. We went late August during the week so we didn't experience the ridiculous lines others are complaining about with food and such. A good recommendation: I have gone to cedar point numerous times and if you go to cedar point go during the week as the crowds are much less for rides, water parks, food, hotel activities, restrooms, etc. If you go on the weekend or days around the weekend such as Friday you will experience lines as long as 3 hours to ride a single ride or a half hour to do something basic like use the restroom as crowds are much more. This hotel is very clean and staff are welcoming. They have great food as well they have a Perkins, Starbucks, Shogun, and TGI Friday's. All of those restaurants were very good. Pricey but no more expensive than eating food at the park. They also offer an hour early admission to the park, which is awesome. They have a fire going at night as well and a lot of people go outside and sit around the fire late at night after the park closes. They have a private beach too if you want to visit the beach. I just wish their pools and hot tubs were open later than 11 so you can swim after visiting the park. Overall, a good experience will stay here again the next time I visit cedar point. read more

The hotel is right behind Cedar Point which is awesome for going to the park, but the hotel is definitely getting older and you can tell. The outside of the hotel definitely shows some signs of aging as well as the interior. The rooms themselves have window unit air conditioning unit and mine did not have a fridge or microwave. The hotel was clean and everything, you could just tell it has been heavily used. The hotel is pretty pricey (I got a discount for going to an event there), but at list price it is kind of ridiculous. The Fridays/Subway within the hotel (Subway is within walking distance) had very inflated pricing, which was disappointing (knowing I could drive ten minutes down the street and pay less). Overall, it is nice as a strictly Cedar Point day place to stay, but otherwise I would probably not stay here. read more

Will definitely return!! Exceptional kudos to the manager Alyssa and supervisor in training, Ben (his first day at this property and he was a rockstar!) After a rough start to our vacation where we drove 9 hours only to find the hotel that Global Hotel Card (NEVER use them btw) booked us was closed down after we paid upfront and had to find another hotel the night of and pay even more money, we arrived early to a Fully Friendly and Helpful staff. Very refreshing after what we had just encountered. Hotel Global could not provide us with an accurate confirmation number to verify our hotel, so in a frantic rush to make sure our trip wasn't ruined and we were without a place to stay again we booked a room with an accurate confirmation number. When we arrived early this morning to confirm they did have our original reservation as well as the one from last night. Rather than charging us the $50 cancellation fee, they refunded the total amount we paid and even provided us early admission passes to the park for the horrible experience prior. They truly turned our Griswold Vacation into the Stress Free vacation we had hoped!! read more

We recently stayed here on a vacation. The renovations are nice but i dont think the staff is cleaning as good as they could be. We had a two bed room with a balcony that overlooked the water park. My wife has the nose of a bloodhound and she immediately upon walking in the room said she smelled urine. Upon further 'sniffing' she determined it was the comforter blanket that they put on the foot of the bed ........ so we discarded it into a corner ...... The bathroom was fairly clean but when i happened to look behind the TV stand we saw cookies , candy , old food and all sorts of things that had been there for awhile......... strike 2 We had a room with a bed / chair that unfolded to sleep a child, we opened it up and found granola bar pieces all over the bed so obviously no one had opened to check since the last granola monster had been eating in the pull out bed . Almost every staff member was from another non english speaking country, we were there for 3 days and we were constantly passing them in the hallways and throughout the complex, i dont think any of them have been trained in the hospitality business bcz most of them ignore you in the hallways no smile no simple 'hello' - thats not too hard to learn is it? Hola..... ? etc....... Some of them straight gave me the creeps as they would just stare at you like a Somali pirate from Captain Phillips...... sorry no other way to explain. We ate one afternoon at the Perkins inside the hotel, 1 star , not worth the $. Luckily Dominos delivered and saved us a couple of nights at a late hour. There is also a TGI Fridays inside the hotel but we did not try it. There are no real perks at Cedar Point Amusement Park for hotel guests other than 1 hiur early entry , free parking, and a short walk to entrance. We had to pay $100 per person per day for fast pass plus and trust me you dont want to go to cedar point without them or youll ride 1 ride per 1-2 hours and waste your day in lines. Universal Orlando offers hotel guests free fast passes as does Dollywood in TN. Not here . Pay to play only! So for 2 days we paid an xx $600 just for fast passes and we stayed at the cedar point owner hotel.......... bend over and take it lol We will probably never come back to Cedar Point so it was a once in a lifetime thing, NOT offering any real perks for Hotel Breakers guests will probably keep us from returning. Repeat biz is the way to success not hi jacking your clients when they come. Anyway back to Hotel Breakers . The beach is nice and the kids enjoyed it for an hour or so every day. Firework are easily viewed from the beach and boardwalk behind the hotel. In the a.m you can buy fast pass bracelets at the hotel front desk, this is not offered later in the day , another inconvenience for hotel guests, you have to walk a good ways to find an open fast pass purchase booth in the park later in the day . Elevators can get crowded at times during busy periods . WARNING ..... the doors to rhe elevators will close faster than normal, during our 3 day stay we saw 2 people get shoulder checked by the elevator door, one guest actually getting knocked to the floor.!! You have been warned ! They will not let you check in till 4 pm. We witnessed a poor lady trying to check in at 3:55 with no success. They acted like she was trying to blow up the hotel by checking in 5 min early. Obviously Hotel Breakers and Cedar point need to work on customer service and teaching out of country work visa employees about service and how to treat customers. It was annoying in the park to not understand most of the foreign workers that were trying to explain safety issues on each ride. Kind of important . About the only thing i could consistently understand was " Hello hello hello welcome back riders' after the ride was over . lol annoying but entertaining at same time. Overall idk if the $2500+ we paid for 3 nights and 3 days at cedar point with fast passes was worth it . Its an expensive proposal. The hotel does not live up to 'Resort' Prices. Its more like a basic hotel that happens to be next to cedar point amusement park. read more
