This hotel is very convenient for those who are going to Cedar Point and literally just need somewhere to shower and sleep. We checked in on July 5, and luckily they could accommodate an early check-in for no fee. We were able to drop off our bags and chill for a minute before heading to the theme park. The hotel stay was a great deal, as we needed a place to sleep anyway after being at the park all day. The deal was $280 for one night stay, plus two park admission tickets, early entrance to the park, and parking. One thing we liked about the room that isn't in most hotel rooms was the size of the mini fridge--there was a separate door for the freezer. We also liked that checkout was moved to noon from 11am for no charge when we called the front desk. The worst thing about the stay was that we were woken up by banging on our door at 10am by an employee asking if we needed room service, when we had the "do not disturb" sign on the door. We are from the west coast and had not adjusted to the time change, so it felt like 7am to us, and we had been at the theme park the day prior. Ya girl needs her beauty sleep. The rest of the stay was okay. Again, totally fine for a convenient, no frills location near the park for just a night or two. $50 charge for later-than-noon checkout, for those who are interested. read more

We ended up staying here instead of going to South Shore Inn and decided to pay a little bit more for a better stay. Good things are the location only a 5 minute drive to the park. Rooms were fairy clean my wife said the house keeping did not do a good job as the floor was dirty. We were able to check in at around 2pm coming here on a Sunday which was nice. We stayed there for 5 days and paid $125 a night with using a season pass discount. It does come with a refrigerator and a microwave which is nice. Downside is it does get really loud as there are kids running in the hallways and making a lot of noise at night. I ended up taking sleeping pills to sleep. They have a nice pool in the center. Overall, it was a good place to stay and would come here, but I might want to try there other locations to try out next time. read more

Our group of 4 had a double queen room reserved at this hotel for Cesar Point's Halloweekends event in October. I was in charge of checking us in and the staff could not have been friendlier. The entire process was quick and painless. We had our tickets for the park and all the info we needed. The room wasn't ready because it was a few hours before typical check in time, but they stuck us in the queue and we got a text when it was ready. I was impressed with the soap, shampoo, and body wash included in the bathroom. The room itself was a little outdated, but clean and spacious enough for us to sleep in. The beds weren't the most comfortable, but I still got a good 8 hours after spending 12+ on my feet in the park. I loved the seasonal decor around the lobby and the water and ice machines on the first floor were convenient and appreciated. Also, they have a gift shop in the lobby near the entrance! read more

It's wet. Inside the room is wet. The bedsheets were wet (I had to sleep on top of them for best comfort), the floor was wet, even the air was wet. My book looked water-damaged when I woke up in the morning, and it was lying on the dry desk. Additionally, there were parts where the construction looked sloppy or unfinished. The bathroom had a new coat of paint, but obviously only half of it, and you can tell when they gave up. There is no noise control, as well. This isn't the hotel's fault, per se, but because it's one of the cheaper accommodations, you'll be dealing with a lot of noisy kids and large parties. I gave it two stars because my partner was okay with the stay, but be warned of these things if it's something that would bother you! read more

Overall rating would probably be a 3.5 but I put 4. Room was clean and had a nice sized fridge with separate freezer. Microwave is small though. Beds had plenty of pillows. A/C didn't quite get it as cool as I hoped. Bathroom layout was ok but would prefer the sink and mirror to be outside of the toilet and shower area to make it easier for a family to get around. Water was nice and hot but the pressure was low and hard to rinse hair and body. Location relative to the park is great. Parking lot and common areas were clean. Disappointed they don't offer a complimentary breakfast for the price of the rooms. With all that, I would still consider staying here again. read more

It gets the job done and it's cheap, but yeesh. The beds are uncomfortable, the sheets are essentially two paper towels, there's little to no water pressure. The walls are paper thin. I was kept up late every single night due to other guests talking or yelling and I could never tell if it was somebody next to me or out in the hallway. I can hear doors slamming all night and staff decide late at night to start vacuuming the floors. At least it's close enough to Cedar Point and the staff are friendly. read more

not great, not horrible. for a reasonable price you'll get a hotel room that does the job and a bathroom with all the necessary fixtures. located close to the park and staying here will get you an hour of early access to specific rides listed on the park website. could be a good deal for you depending on what you value in a hotel. my one real issue is that the rooms clearly aren't very carefully cleaned between guests. dust, suspicious stains/streaks, etc. nothing egregious, but i kind of wished i had a tub of gym equipment wipes to clean the more high-traffic switches and outlets. read more

We have tried every hotel in the area for our Cedar Point trips. I find this one to be my favorite for many reasons. It's just outside the parks and the most convenient, unless you stay at Hotel Breakers which is right on the property. The hotel is smaller and is exactly as it says -- express. We don't spend any time in our room except to shower and sleep. The rooms the clean, provide the basic necessities, and quick to get to. We are in and out, which is the best when we just want to change and get to the park. It's a no frills hotel that provides what we need near Cedar Point. read more

This hotel is large and my group had a good experience. There's not any frills at this hotel, but you get the value paid. We booked connected rooms for 6 adults for the Halloweekends package. We were on a first floor, connected, and conveniently located near one of the entrances. Nothing special or bad about the rooms - beds and bathrooms were clean. Both rooms had mini fridges. It's close to Cedar Point and mostly clean. One main issue is everything in the room is damp, making the sheets/pillows feel as if they came out of the dryer too soon. Tops of lamps and headboards were dusty. Otherwise, the room seemed fairly clean. It's definitely a family hotel, so you will hear kids in the hall. Not a big deal though. No continental breakfast, but McDonald's is close by. read more

I struggled with how to rate this. The rooms were okay; however they were not particularly clean. Once, someone must of blew by and took out the garbage but beds were untouched and we needed to ask for towels and blankets. The hotel was very accommodating to teen baseball teams as there was a lot of swimming, hotel wide hide and seek and running around going on (my kids included). They have a nice courtyard that accommodated team parents in lots of areas, with food and rinks brought from outside. The only staff I saw in the 3 days that we were there was the front desk people. I did see cleaning carts so they must have them. read more

This is the budget friendly option for staying on property and close to Cedar Point. While there was a line at check-in, it moved quickly and was a very easy process. The hotel looks to have been remodeled recently and our room was clean. The weekend we went, it was pretty busy and noisy. Unfortunately the noise carries through the walls, so take earplugs if you are a light sleeper. Our toilet also ran all night and seemed to have some issues with the flushing mechanism. The beds weren't very comfortable - hard mattresses that worked for a few nights, but if I had stayed longer than that, I probably wouldn't not have been very happy with comfort level vs price. Vending machines take cash only, BUT they wouldn't accept my dollar bills at any of them, so if you need snacks or drinks, purchase those off property. The weekend we stayed, two nights was around $500. That seemed comparable to other hotels in the area of the same quality. You also get in to the park an hour early and it's literally five minutes down the road, so that's a definitely bonus. read more

Absolutely horrible! We opted to stay here for the early park access (we're pass holders so didn't need the tickets) and it was not worth it one bit. There was a youth team staying all around us and they were rude and obnoxious and loud well beyond the posted quiet hours. Management did nothing, despite us calling to complain (nor did their parents but that's another issue...) The room was sparce and the beds were very uncomfortable. We had our heat set to 75 but the room was still freezing. There is no breakfast other than what you can buy and take in the gift shop, which is all over priced. The worst part of the entire stay was that when we were ready for bed we noticed one had a clear, sticky but hard substance that was sticking the comforter and top sheet together (we're pretty sure we know what this was...iykyk). We immediately stripped the bed and took the bedding down to the front desk to get new bedding and the front desk didn't even care. No apology, no signs of being horrified at what was left uncleaned, just a "so you want new bedding?" With a whatever kind of shrug. We will never stay here or at any of the other cedar point hotels again. They are grossly overpriced for unclean rooms and terrible service. read more

The main selling point is the location- close to the park and early entry (you can get a ton done in that hour!). It is what you would express from a value hotel. Walls as thin as paper- bring your ear plugs!!! Lots of kids and sports teams stay here and thunder down the hallway at all hours. Also, there is NO HOUSEKEEPING SERVICE. No one told us this and it isn't in any of the materials. But there are no towel bars or anywhere to hang your towels to reuse them! We called to get fresh towels since ours were on a heap in the floor. There is no where on site to eat but there is a small store with pop tarts, cereal bowls and yogurt. There is a McDonalds and Dairy Queen nearby. This worked for a last minute trip, but next time we will try the Breakers. read more

I definitely would not stay here again and would not recommend to anyone. My family of 8 will take our business elsewhere for better value and service. read more

Management clerks you name it. Only two people know what's going on. The cleaning maid man, and lead maintenance man. Two desk clerks where so shocked there was two people with first and last name staying at hotel. And apparently can't read a confirmation number , or look at a middle name or the different credit card numbers rooms where booked under. Then the manager tells them how to fix the problem instead of doing it herself. And they clearly did not have the knowledge or skills to complete the task. So agin instead of her taking over she showed them how to do while lobby full of people trying to check in. Then I get a room get to it and key will not work. Thankfully the maid man stopped and tried to help and did after 30 more mins of standing in hallway the maintenance man came and fixed it. Very nice and apologized for all the inconvenience. Dropped luggage headed to park. Get back after 8 hours at the park and discover we have no towels or soap. Call front desk they say they are bring some right up. 30 minutes later call again speak to different person I offer to come down and get them , they say no bringing them right up. 30 minutes later call down and the so called supervisor answers says she is the only one there I will have to wait. We get go to check in and they tried telling me they couldn't check me in without my ID which I couldn't find. I had my confirmation email, both of my kids ID who lived with me, had my social security card, the bank card I used for my deposit and she said I needed a government ID which a ss card is a government type of ID but they wanted a picture ID. I brought up my information on my BMV but it doesn't show a picture. She finally let me in. It shouldn't have been that difficult with all the information I had proving who I was. I was tired after driving 5 hours to get there. Got to the room and I guess due to be close to water the bed sheets and blankets were damp. Never had that issue before but they changed the beds and they were still well so we just left it go. The hotel itself was clean, but can get lost easily. The room has a mini fridge and freezer as well as a microwave which was nice. I won't ever go to Cedar Point or stay at one of their hotels again. They really tried to take you for all you got. $35 for parking...like seriously? $70 for an electric cart for people that can't walk very much due to unseen disability. Nearly $20 for a little bit of food that doesn't even taste good and omg, don't get me started on the lockers. They need something better than that hot mess of confusion. To many rides shut down and absolutely no place to go cool off for the folks that don't want to go to the water park. They should get some misting stations or something. And they need to be more clear on their website but that's a poop show in itself. Won't ever go back. read more

Perhaps the better part of our trip to Cedar Point was staying at their hotel as it comes with some perks as well as some decent rooms that aren't to far away from the park! If your staying at anyone of the Cedar Point Resort Hotels you can get into the park early like up to a hour on some days so that alone on busy days is totally worth it! This hotel is located down the street from the park but only a few minutes drive so it's definitely worth staying here if you plan on visiting the park. So from what the people at the front desk told me is that all the rooms are the same and come with two beds so you can't get like a single king room this I thought was kinda strange but I guess they are trying to do it for the families that stay here so I was like ok and we had our room that was actually quite big and enjoyable for the two of us! Once in our room we were kinda stoked as it was a long day at the park and the room was just awesome as well as set up so we can get comfortable. It was kinda cool when I took a shower in the morning i was stoked to see that they had Bath & Bodyworks soaps and lotions for us to use as I always buy their products when I'm at home! Our room had some awesome pictures of some of the rides in the park as well as a fridge to keep my ciders cold. The hotel has a pool area with a small splash pad for the kids as well as a good sized pool to swim and relax in after a day of riding coasters! They also had a laundry room which was super handy for us as we were traveling and had some laundry to do so it was let's drink cider and do laundry to a CP best day! Overall awesome hotel that was perfect for us this day we went to Cedar Point next time we visit I'm sure I'll stay here or at another one of their other establishments. read more

I love this hotel! Not quite as good as Hotel Breakers, which is actually on Cedar Point peninsula. This one is straight off the peninsula and pass the employee dorms. When you walk into the amazing, modern lobby and check in, you will find awesome employees employed by Cedar Point. You get to your room and see the awesome room with photos of Raptor, Millennium Force, and Valravn above the walls and near the restroom. There is also a pool and kids play area in the center of the hotel, which is in the shape of a square. This hotel is awesome, and I definitely recommend it if you go to Cedar Point and don't want to pay full price for Hotel Breakers. read more

The last time we went to Cedar Point, we stayed at a local B&B because the prices were great. This time, I ended up picking CP's Express Hotel for a few reasons. 1. It would allow us to get into the park one hour earlier than the general crowd (minus Platinum Pass holders) 2. The prices were comparable to the B&B and other hotels in the area. 3. We could bundle our tickets/parking for a slightly cheaper rate. If it wasn't for the one hour early entrance, I don't think it would've been worth it. Our room was clean, in general. But the air vents in the bathroom as well as the AC unit in the room were absolutely filthy and dusty. There were layers of dust caked in between the vents. I ended grabbing about 3 hours of sleep that night because I was so congested from the dust. Yuck. We were so tired from spending about 13 hours in the park that we didn't bother asking for a room change. They seemed understaffed anyways, so I'm not even sure if complaining would've done anything. I was super happy to check out the next morning. Next time, I think I'll try to book earlier and stay at their other hotel. Either that, or shell out for a Fast Pass. read more

First the good. The Location was fantastic, cedar point is probably 5 minutes away. That was the only good. We reserved two connecting rooms. Both rooms smelled awful. It was a combination of body odor and musty dampness. We also found previous guests socks in the bathroom and candy. Kids were running up and down the hallway until midnight. Half the vending machines didn't work. Unfortunately, we didn't check into the hotel until after our day at cedar point. It was late and we were exhausted. We would not have stayed if we weren't so tired. We told the front desk our issues, the next morning at checkout, and they didn't care at all. read more

Stayed here with my family for a volleyball tournament. It was about ten minutes from the cedar point sports complex. The staff at the front were friendly. Check in was quick and easy. Well this is the location my wife picked for us this time around. The last time we stayed at a Red Roof Inn. She booked this location sometime in November last year. This has become an annual trip that we plan for each year, so having a good place to stay is definitely important. From the outside the place looks awesome, and it's super close to the park so win/win already right? Well it's the first night so we will see. I have some minor issues already, one as a person who enjoys working out on his vacation, this is probably the first hotel that I've stayed in that hasn't had a fitness facility. Or I just haven't found it. Second issue is I did notice a small stain on my comforter. Overall it was a great nights sleep, and there wasn't much that we needed, so. It much else to say. Checkout was easy, everything was overall pretty good. I'm sure we will stay there again. read more

I was terrified to travel for our baseball tournament during Covid. Then there were no recent reviews fo hotel so I was really nervous. All I can say was the staff and facility was stellar! Upon arrival all guests answer questions and have temperature taken. Masks must be worn inside building at all times. Pool had limited capacity. Staff was constantly cleaning and reminding patrons to wear masks. Everything seemed recently updated rooms were very clean and comfortable. Nice mini fridge and freezer in the room. There was no cleaning/room service during your stay, however you could ask for anything you needed. Honestly, we didn't want anyone in our room anyway so we were perfectly happy with that. The staff did an amazing job of handling disrespectful and selfish patrons. A large group had entered the pool despite being asked nicely to abide by posting rules and regulations the adults began yelling at the person work in the pool. Management tried to politely handle the situation yet guests continue to escalate. They did a great job of calling the police and handling the situation. Sadly it was at the cost of everyone else because the pool had to close for the night. They also handled guest spiking and setting off the fire alarm for the whole hotel in a quick and professional manner. My only criticisms from our trip were that the pool was much small than what appeared in pics but kids still enjoyed! And they do not have roll away beds which no one told us when we had requested one during reservation. Overall for a 2star hotel, our entire team stayed and everyone seemed happy with it! read more

We've stayed here before - it is clean, updated, and reasonably priced. What sold us is the hour early park entry - what a great deal! HOWEVER, buyer beware! You don't always get this benefit, despite it being clearly advertised on Cedar Point's website as such! We decided to come up a day early, specifically to get early entry to ride some of the rides that get long lines. The front desk told us we couldn't have the passes unless we were part of the group that "reserved the park" from 9-1. They then told us to call customer service. I called customer service, as we honestly only came early for the benefit. I was told "it's in the email we sent confirming your stay, that it doesn't apply to today". What?? I read the email in its entirety, and nowhere were restrictions mentioned. She then "talked to her supervisor", came back on and told me that it "is clearly stated before you make your reservation, that early entry is not available today only". Evidently "clearly stated" to Cedar Point is part of the fine print disclosure on the page where you make the reservation - and ONLY there, as the place where I made my choice of hotel and stay advertised it as included. They told me I could use my tickets tomorrow instead and get early entry if I PAID FOR ANOTHER NIGHT STAY. Really Cedar Point? The final straw for me was them telling me "well it's all over our social media", when in fact they posted a notification first ON THE DAY I MADE OUR RESERVATION, and I don't follow them on social media, nor do I plan to. I do, however, plan to inform anyone who takes honest advice on my social media platforms that their customer service is a pile of stinky you know what. Next time, I won't bother. You cannot beat this for the price and proximity to the park. You still get free early admission to Cedar Point when you stay here and free parking. They don't have any eateries here but that's what Postmates is for. The pool said it was heated but it's not. I found that out the hard way. The rooms are great and nice and updated. You have a microwave and fridge with laundry on site. This place is awesome. If you're looking to stay somewhere and save money this is it. I had a few issues with my Wildcard pass not working and the hotel customer service handled it well. The customer service is impeccable. I can't say I've had anything other than the best day ever at a Cedar Point establishment. If actual Breakers Hotel is booked or I'm tight on money, I'll absolutely stay here again. read more

This hotel looks great post renovation! However, id bet that in a year things will be very different as ya only been open 2 weeks. The rooms themselves are great and updated. I appreciate how the finishes are so simple and modern. This place is best westernish level so I'd recommend it to anyone looking to not spend an arm and leg to go to cedar point. I love the new air conditioning unit in the window. It's very easy to use and I appreciate the ability to control the temp. The rooms themselves are nice sized however with a group of 4 the bedroom would get cramped with luggage. Not sure why the hazard tape was all over the courtyard and I wish there was a hot tub. Overall I'd definitely stay here again in comparison to the other options in the area. read more

Let's start with the good- check-in was easy, staff was very friendly, and it was a great bonus getting into Cedar Point early each day with a free parking pass to boot! Also very close to CP, which made visiting easy and convenient. A/C was cold and mattresses were comfortable and clean. Splash pad is cute for the littles. The bad- the fitted sheets on the bed were ripped... literally any turn in bed and the fitted sheet was off again. They were also put on inside out. I've never had to make and re-make a bed so many times on vacation. The humidity in our room meant that our wet towels/bathing suits would not dry at all. One of the keys we were given didn't work and had to be replaced. We're on day 4 and no room service of any kind- had to ask for more toilet paper, trash bags, and replacement towels since they just won't dry. I can see not cleaning the rooms daily (seems to be a new trend that has continued since covid) but rooms should be restocked at least every 2-3 days. The pool is only 3.5 ft deep.. great for little kids, but not as fun for older kids/adults. The refrigerator was so cold that our food froze inside of it. Would recommend if you don't plan on spending too much time in the room, can overlook the bad above, and if you're looking for a more affordable stay. read more

I am sitting in the room at Breakers Express right now and it is so bad it compelled me to write the review right here and now. There is black mold covering the bathroom door, hair in the bathtub and dirt on the floor. The beds feel like a park bench and judging by the cleanliness of the bathroom, we didn't get under the covers. The only saving grace is the free wifi so that I could write this review. For $300 for one night, I would have rather slept in my car and kept warm next to a bonfire of dollar bills. DISGUSTING!!!!!!! Beyond that, the girls working the desk were rude upon check in and when I complained about the cleanliness, they said they could change our room but that was it. They wouldn't offer us a refund or put us up in a different hotel. We ended up sleeping on top of the covers with a small blanket we found in the dresser drawer. Found what I thought to be a pretty good deal online. Hotel room, tickets to cedar point, parking pass, and 1 hour early entry into the park. I've never stayed here before so I thought why not. It is definitely just a place to crash at, like other people have said. They do not have a continental breakfast (unless you pay extra). As soon as we walked in our room, I could tell the mirror on the wall was dirty and hadn't been cleaned, so that just made my mind wander about everything else in the room that hadn't been cleaned since god knows when. We stayed on the first floor and I am a super light sleeper, but thankfully it was a quiet night, and I didn't hear any disturbances. For the price I would probably come back here again. We wanted to stay near Cedar Point primarily so that we could get into the park an hour earlier and didn't want to pay over $150. The hotel was overall very clean when we arrived. Was able to check in an hour and half before 4 PM so that was a plus. The room was clean, furniture a bit banged up and beds were awful (you could feel the springs). Just a decent place to stay while going to Cedar Point--very cheap on Hotwire, less than a ticket to the park even! If you stay here, you can park for free at Cedar Point, so don't waste time obtaining the cheap parking voucher with your online ticketing. You can also enter the park at 9am instead of 10am, but this is not a particularly great perk since few rides are open at that time, nor is there any breakfast to be had anywhere. The hotel is clean, has a big pool area with lots of seating, but is otherwise merely a collection of rooms. There is no dining area, no coffee in the lounge in the morning, and no fitness/business area. Luckily, there is a DQ/BK and a restaurant/bar located very close by, so you don't have to scramble for food. The rooms are decent, featuring two queens. They have tv with plenty of channels and a reasonable bathroom that is not too cramped. Coffee-wise, very poor, and only decaf on offer in my room. No cleaning ladies/employees seemingly around in the morning to help rectify such matters. By all means, book this hotel but plan to spend almost all your time elsewhere.
