We had a very smooth check-IN, and were assigned MAYA ROOM 107, big, and beautiful!!! It has a fairly large refrigerator, a Nespresso Coffee Maker, an Iron and Ironing Board, and Blow Dryer. It also had a huge TV. Unfortunately, it didn't have a lot of options for English Speaking movies. While it seemed to have NETFLIX, it had not been set up in our room yet, UNFORTUNATELY!!! I would make one suggestion to Mr Luis Novelo, set up TVs for Prime, Netflix HBO, and Disney. FOR GUESTS, like us, to log into their account. We recently stayed at a hotel in Palm Springs, and they did something like that!!! UPON ENTERING OUR ROOM, it had been set up beautifully, romantically. RED HEARTS on the bed, with a TOWEL ANIMAL ON ONE OF THEM!!! We watched what we could for a while, then WALKED OUT FOR SUNSET. On SUNDAY MORNING, we went to LasTerrazas Restaurante Hotel Estero Beach. We thought we would have just a basic breakfast, but instead we had an ELABORATE BRUNCH!!! It was perfect, provided enough ENERGY for OUR 8 HOUR TOUR of the GUADALUPE VALLEY!!! We returned to NAP, SHOWER, and watch "TWISTER." We ended in the LasTerrazas Restaurante BAR, for PINA COLADAS, LONG ISLAND ICED TEAS, and TORTILLA SOUP!!! All in ALL, it was amazing STAY at an AMAZING RESORT!!!

The bathroom tub looked like it was going to break, when stepping on it the floor would sink. The room tv's did not work and the outlets look like they have not been updated since the late 1980's. We were originally going to stay 3 night but left on the 2nd night, we weren't even asked why when checking out. The pool is clean and very well kept. I was surprised that the premises had free ice machines. The water was salty so when showering you could feel the salt on your body. There's bellboys but when arriving to our spot none approached us, mind you we're 2 adults and 2 children including an infant.

The grounds are beautifully maintained, and the pool is amazing. Service throughout the property was warm and welcoming. Everyone we encountered was friendly, professional, and genuinely seemed to want guests to enjoy their stay. One thing I appreciate about Coral & Marina is that it offers a different vibe than the large resort-style properties further south. It feels quieter, more relaxed, and more authentically Ensenada. It's the kind of place where you can spend the morning at the spa, the afternoon exploring fish taco stands and wineries, and the evening watching the sunset over the marina with a glass of Baja wine. That killed the appetite pretty quick. We also ordered wine but we did not ask for the price and they ended up pouring a very expensive bottle. When we went to rent the boards they said they were not renting them out. The service is top notch. They will go out of the way to make you feel welcomed. The little things in life put a smile on my face and just a "morning" as I take a leisurely stroll in the morning has quite a good feeling attached to it. Most of the visible staff are fluent in English so that's a bonus. Didn't stop me from trying to take my terrible 3 years of Spanish and try to put it to good use though I won't sugar coat the fact that you won't get the true local feel of the city through their hotel food. Of course that's not to say it isn't delicious, it's just that its price feels as if I was still in the states. If it's one thing you got to try though is their shrimp cocktail. It's simply mind blowing. I swear that may have been the reason I came back again. Their drinks won't blow a hole in your pocket either if you're looking for a quick fix. Their property is right on the beach front but in terms of pretty sandy beaches that you can lie around this is not that kind. There are periods of low and high tides that completely vacates the ocean front of water and it allows you to do a bit of exploring on what is the ocean bed. But there is a pool with two jacuzzis that look over the Estero. Also the wifi is free but do be warned it is VERY spotty. I think at one point half of my class was huddled around this one beach chair because for some reason we only got signal there. But hey we're there for class (and relax ofc) and we need to really disconnect ourselves from all the hectic things going around us.

It's on the water and has it's own very tiny beach. They provide an opportunity to jet ski, kayak or just lay about with a drink in your hand. There are several tiers of rooms here and you truly get what you pay for. If you reserve a cheap room next to the parking lot, you will get one that's moderately decorated, with no WiFi access, thin walls and a greater noise level. If you pay more and get a poolside room, your room is well decorated, thicker walls, WiFi access and limited noise. The staff here speaks moderate English and the guests were mostly Mexican. Overall, everyone was friendly. They are pet friendly as well. The bar and restaurant were awesome. The service was terrific, especially considering my pathetic Spanish. The local wines are delicious and anything you order with fish was very fresh. My favorite was the shrimp ceviche tostadas which were out of this world and I ate them every day. There was live music at night, they were mostly playing old American tunes which was kind of funny with the Spanish accents, but the bands were very talented. Overall, our stay was nice, but considering price and location, we will likely explore other options on our next trip.

The food is pretty decent as well, purchase the breakfast buffet online with the reservation, it's a bit less expensive. It's also just a little drive from the port, restaurants, and shops.
