My husband booked this hotel for us for a long weekend getaway. It was really a great hotel with something for everyone. It was clean - it had a fairly updated room decor - an updated shower - the lobby was modern and clean and staff was very courteous and friendly. It's close to lots of things to do - bars and restaurants- vendors - the marina . The pool was fun with a family atmosphere, the jacuzzi was hot and bubbly. They had a GREAT restaurant and a great bar! They have a decent and clean gym and a moderately priced spa and salon. Would definitely go back and definitely recommend! read more

Always great service and clean organized rooms. The only thing I always find strange is the room key cards seem to stop working after a few days. I'm usually here a week so maybe it is intensional. The food in the restaurant and bar is amazing and the bartender is one of my favorites across the word. He's been working here forever! Love that he lets me choose my station on the TV. read more

The five stars is for Candy the massage therapist. She gave me the best massage ever!! I felt so relaxed afterwards. She was very sweet and very professional. I payed half of what I would pay over here. The staff were also friendly, and the food was delicious! There was a young waiter that was rude, but it can't all be perfect. The view isn't the greatest around there, but if you want a day to relax in a hotel with a massage, dinner, and hair cut this is your place! read more

I'm a little disappointed at my stay. I left some chile sauces in the room that were sealed. I live is San Diego and didn't mind going back to pick them up. We called the next day and the receptionist said they were thrown away which I find hard to believe! He also mentioned that the salsas were fresh which they weren't. I do not understand why they would throw sealed in a glass chile oils. I know someone took them home and they didn't know how to say sorry one of the employees took them home. I would never stay at this particular hotel again because I would be scared to leave my things unattended. I have worked before at a hotel and you do not keep what is not yours!! We came here for a couple of days with family and are having a great time . There's plenty of parking and check in was very quick and easy. They gave us rooms that were only a couple of doors from each other. The rooms are very clean and pretty spacious. The bathroom has a nice large shower and plenty of amenities. Today we swam and used the jacuzzi with we're both very clean. The also have a health spa that you can use. My husband used the sauna and said everything was nice and clean. Room service does a great job. The beds are very comfy are the rooms are nice and quiet. The only downside is to go to the Central area you need to either drive or walk about 1/4 of a mile. Facility is ok but not worth the high price. It's much more expensive than other similar hotels in the area for half the price. I booked this hotel through a 3rd party site thinking I was paying more for beach access but there was none. You have a view of the harbor but no beach access. Also, I was quoted one price on the reservation ($79) but charged $20 more at check-in ($103). Tried to resolve the issue with management but they could care less and made me pay the full price. They had my credit card on file already from the reservation and said there was no cancellations. They offered to give me a better rate for subsequent nights but after being overcharged and not having the online reservation price respected, I hardly wanted to hand over more money to them. They'd rather lose a customer than lose $20 profit. I cancelled the next 5 nights of reservation I had. WARNING! Pay in pesos because their exchange rate is horrible. 14 pesos for a dollar when all the other businesses in the area exchange a minimum of 16.50 pesos for dollars (rate at booking was 17.25). I tried paying in pesos but they still wanted to charge the same and converted the amount using their exchange rate. Pros: Elevator, lots of free parking, free wi-fi, nice gym, on site restaurant, safe area, big rooms Cons: Overpriced, Overcharges, Poor exchange rate, mediocre customer service, outdated rooms, poor plumbing & electrical (toilet issues and the plugs were so loose I couldn't plug in my hair appliances), no beach access. read more

As someone who has never visited Mexico this was the perfect hotel to stay at. The rooms were clean, it's walking distance to restaurants, bars, markets and pretty much everything Ensenada has to offer. The pool and hot tub were great amenities as well. Haven't tried the restaurant or the bar yet, but it was pretty packed when we walked by. Book online to save in price! read more

Jacuzzi and a spa if you need as massage, workout room, nice view of harbor (room 319) a bar to hang out and vent. This place is just gross. We paid $160 for a night for a room that has not been updated since the 70's. The only update is a flat screen tv. You can't even have a towel at the pool unless you sign for it. If you don't physically return the towel to someone ; you get charged $10 for a nasty old towel. The rooms smell musty and are really bad. The whole place needs a serious remodel and the spa facilities are also outdated and gross. I actually had to come back to my room after my massage to take a shower. Also felt like I have to wear sandals in the shower to avoid getting a fungus infection. It's a little pricey for what you get. Double room was usd$190. It's a pretty standard room from what I can see. There's a safe but no refrigerator or mini bar. There are matches in the room... Guessing it's a smoking room? But it seemed to be the best in the area. Flat screen tv. You have to bring the remote downstairs to reception upon checkout. Our views are of 7 eleven and some of the other surroundimg buildings. The most I can see of the ocean is the crowded port. Rooms are very clean and the beds are comfortable. There's apparently a bar, restaurant and spa on site, as well as a rental car desk if you should have such needs. Pretty ample parking for free. Free Wi-Fi as well once they give you a pass code, and there's open Wi-Fi in the lobby, too. It's in town near the port, but close enough for a walk to a beach... Honestly we just spontaneously took a trip to Mexico and have no idea what we're doing haha. Not even sure if we're close to the main touristy draw of Ensenada, but we're satisfied with the location and, though there's nothing spectacular about the hotel, there's nothing overtly wrong with it, either. So 3 stars it is! read more

Very nice place to stay. Stayed one night for the Ensenada Beer Festival so the price was high for a Saturday night but the location was excellent for that. Right across the street. Close to the tourist area and the Marina. Shower was okay not that great of a pressure. Room very clean and the view nice. Can see the marina and cruise ship. Close to shopping and dining. Excellent customer service. No coffee in the room but 7-11 across the street. I would say this hotel is about between a regular Ensenada hotel and a High class hotel on the outskirts of town. read more

The staff were friendly and hospitable as they always are in Mexico. Right when we arrived, our room was ready and clean. The bed was not comfortable for me and pillows are not your feather-comfortable pillows. The shower, on the other hand, was nice and powerful with the large shower head and Warm-hot running water. they provide complimentary water bottles for brushing your teeth, which is nice. My only complaint was the pool. The hotel staff shared that because of the way the hotel is set up, you get all the breeze from the ocean at the pool, which made it hard to enjoy. If the pool were at the east end of the hotel instead of the west end, it probably would have made a difference. Would I stay again? YES. Would I stay again with family? NO. read more

Above all the rooms are clean but it needs to be updated! I scheduled a pedicure and I was running late so I called to reschedule my appointment, they tried to canceled and not sure why? But I ask they were going to refund my money? And Omar said no because I was canceling, I ask if he can reschedule my appointment but it was so hard for him to compromise so I told him to cancel! Very disappointed with the service in the spa, will not recommend this hotel to anyone or to book in advance the pedicure or the spa! read more

Not worth the price and the headache. Was quoted one price on the phone when making the reservation. Then upon arrival I was given a rate 15% more than what originally quoted. I asked to pay in pesos due to their poor conversion rate but of course they decided they wanted to run my card in USD vs pesos ultimately costing me an additional 10%. All in all, very bad experience. Front desk did not want to do anything to correct situation. Then decided to try out room service. Should have known better. When we checked in they put us in a tiny room right next to the check in area, sort of like a luggage storing area. We requested a different room and that one overlooked the parking lot and was extremely noisy due to construction/drilling going on. The room was stuffy and we were afraid to check out the bathroom situation. The pool and drink area next to the parking lot were not appealing. We had to wrangle with Expedia for months to get a full refund (the hotel would not refund us even though there was no mention of construction going on when we booked it). After staying at the wonderful Hotel Coral days before to say this was a letdown is a huge understatement. Fortunately we were able to go back to the Hotel Coral after calling directly even though it was a holiday - a much more enjoyable and relaxing stay. If you do decide to stay here we recommend checking out your room before actually booking, maybe the rooms are nicer on the non-parking lot side. read more

What a hell hole. Dirty, no hot water for three days, construction in neighboring rooms, water pressure poor. I paid $110.00 a night for this dump. It's not even up to a "motel" standard in the U.S. Don't waste your time in Ensenada--the resorts in MX are the only places you'll get your money's worth. Third world interior towns and cities are just not worth the time and money. read more

If you want to stay up all night and be treated like crap, this place is for you. Unethical business practice. They will charge you a full rate when the noise level of the room is so bad that it should be kept out of service until this is resolved. They must receive complaints to this room type all the time, yet they take a chance and sell it in hopes of getting away. Even if they issue me a full refund, I will not be happy for not being able to sleep, which doesn't serve the purpose of a hotel. They refuse to offer any compensation for this inconvenience. Worst customer service ever. Room faced on the major street, basically the noise level is same as staying outside. Amber, unapologetic front desk agent had zero fcuk to give. "Can I move the room?" "No we are sold out." "Could you get me ear plugs?" "Nope we don't have any." "Ill insulate this room myself. Can you get me blankets and tape?""We don't have tape.""Can you go get it? I'm trying to sleep here.""are you going to pay for that?". Never. Again. Houseman, after 2 hours, finally brought me the blankets and tape. I covered windows with blankets. Still no help. The staff at this very clean hotel was extremely polite and helpful. The food at the restaurant was good overall but breakfast was exceptional, a hotspot apparently for locals. Be sure to visit the cultural center (former Riviera casino) across the street and the small archeological/historical museum, also close by is worth a visit. There is also a small art museum right next door. The hotel pool was almost bathtub warm. The hotel is in a very safe, quiet area, an easy walk to the main tourist area. read more

I gave the Hotel Corona a 5 because of their fabulous service from all of the staff. In addition the rooms are very nice. They are not extravagant and not the latest in furnishings. But, they are nice enough and very clean. They also have AC which is important to us and the WIFI works well. There is a nice sized TV and DVD player on request. The restaurant has great food and service. We have stayed there 3 times so far this year and are very satisfied. They are always full so that should tell you something. read more

I'm going to give this place a 5 star because of its customer service. We arrived on Saturday on Memorial weekend without a reservation. We had checked other hotels in this area and they were all booked. They told is that someone had just canceled and that they could take us an extra bed. The bathroom was just remodeled and rooms were super clean. The location is the best in all Ensenada and walking distance to everything. Parking is huge and guarded. Pool, bar, room service, wifi, and bedding are all on point. Price might be $20 higher than other places but definitely recommend. Also if you stay, walk over to Victors Restaurant a block away, it's one of the best meals we had. read more
