What can say...when you are jonesing for awesome breadsticks, hotbox has you covered. Always fresh. When you bite into the breadsticks, you get a crunchy outside with a nice, soft, squishy inside. Pairs best with their nacho cheese sauce...however, you have plenty of options when it comes to dipping sauces (ranch, garlic butter, pizza sauce and nacho cheese). So...some of you might be like "enough about the breadsticks ... what about the pizza?" The pizza is just as yummy...with toppings that don't leave you thinking "well, that could have used more (insert your fave topping here)". I have even tried the gluten free crust and it dies not disappoint. Each week they run a 1/2 off special on one of their specialty pizzas or cheese sticks (a cheese pizza with garlic butter sauce instead of pizza sauce). As far as staff experience...we are always greeted with great service from ordering to them bringing it out to your table (no matter the location) ... they are also super accommodating... we've had experiences where they have given our kiddos extra tootsie rolls when they have asked. I visit hot box quite often because it's close to work. Figured while we were out this way, we'd grab some pizza at this location. We called and asked how long, they said ten minutes. Great. We arrive and pay. It took almost 25 minutes! I would've had no problem waiting if we would've been told about this up front. It was over promise and under deliver. I'd rather be the other way around. We had ham pizza. There was literally one time piece of ham on each slice. I should've grabbed a picture but we were starving. The stix were nice and fresh but parts did seem undercooked. Also I think they've gotten smaller over time. read more

Love their deals. Got a large pepperoni, breadsticks, and 2 drinks for $13.99. I love their breadsticks! Slightly crispy on the outside and soft, airy, and chewy on the inside. The pizza is good too. I do wish their online ordering was better. The usual things you expect from other sites aren't used on theirs. For example, the list of locations to order from does not automatically list closest to your location and the cart is way on the bottom of the page. I decided to get some pizza and a salad tonight delivered. I used to have a coworker who would get hotbox for lunch regularly so thought I'd give it a try. First, the positive: the salad was fresh and tasty and thankfully the dressing was on the side.... because the balsamic vinaigrette was horrible. Second, the pizza: I'm not sure I have the words to describe how horrible this pizza was. I are three piexes because I was hungry then wished I hadn't. I threw the rest away. The mozzarella is heavy, yet tasteless. The crust was tasteless and the same consistency as the box. Even the onions and other veggies were tasteless. This is the epitome of low quality food. Best breadsticks ever! They are so soft and pair perfectly with cheese or marinara. The pizza is okay, not terrible but not authentic which is my preference. Again, I come here for the breadsticks! The pizza is good for sports games or parties and this location is always pretty timely in their delivery. I also like the short cups that the drinks are served in. read more

This HotBox is fantastic! My company does business with them every weekend (we offer birthday parties for children and include the pizza) and they are just the best! maybe a 3.5. In yet another quest to use up my entertainment book coupons, the wife and I decided to order some pizza from hot box. We had some relatives coming in, and figured why the heck not. I ended up picking up our order, but let me give you a breakdown of what I saw. AMBIENCE- this place is connected to a gas station. I don't know what image that conjures up in your mind, but the place is actually pretty clean. They have a lunch menu with slices and such, though I didn't see any pies sitting out when I went. perhaps they make them to order? SERVICE- the guy that was helping me was friendly, and greeted me as soon as I walked in. Shortly after I got there, they completed my order, and I was on my way. Both he, and the other guy working there had these quasi-cool t-shirts on that had something clever written on them. meh. MENU- besides your standard pizza toppings, this place has a number of different specialty pizzas and sauces (I think you can order pesto, alfredo, ranch as well as tomato sauce on your pie). You can also choose what style of crust (regular, thin, and a wheat crust) I signed up for their newsletter, and they rave about their breadstix, though we didn't end up getting any. FOOD- for our order, we got a large supreme, and a large chicken ranch which had ranch sauce, chicken and bacon on (and maybe some spinach? I can't remember). The supreme was about what I expected, and the chicken ranch was ok. It actually seemed a little dry, but still tasty. OVERALL- considering the price (about $18 per pizza), I was expecting these pizzas to be overflowing with toppings or something, but these were just alright. Love their breadsticks and cheese---they remind me a bit of the old-school Noble Roman's breadsticks, if you're old enough to remember those. The breadsticks are really just a conduit to get more of that delish spicy cheese into my mouth. The pizza is fine, but not my fave. But let's face it, even ok pizza is good pizza. I like their lunch special: huge slice of cheese or pepperoni, breadsticks and cheese or marinara (hint: pick the cheese!). The drink is extra, so you're looking at about $8-10 for lunch. read more

My family LOVES HotBox Pizza! What my favorite part about HotBox is their pie of the week. They choose a new pizza each week and it is half off! I meannnnnn seriously! I look forward to seeing which one they choose each week. Their thin crust is delicious. Crunchy and lite, which is extremely important because traditional crust hurts my stomach. Their Dixie chick pizza is incredible. My personal favorite. I also love that HotBox always seems to be supporting charities or good causes or the HSE schools. You always have to wait on the phone (if it's not busy), their delivery times are always longer than anyone else, and we've even had issues with carryout taking as long as delivery. Hot Box is one of the few places that delivers and we love it for a quick family night. We usually get the thin crust pizza half pineapple and half cheese. Of course their breadsticks are a must too! I'm rating it a 4 out of 5 because the pizza comes fast and they are really consistent with their quality and getting the order right. However, it is a pay for what you get. Yum yum yum! Hot Box is delish. We order it at the office every now and then and love getting their Big Ten special. The pizza is really good - not the gourmet topping selection that you find at Bazbeaux, but still tasty pizza! The breadsticks are awesome too, and what we always look forward to is the ranch dressing for dipping! An added bonus - you get Tootsie Rolls for dessert with every pizza. Just take them out of the box as soon as you get the pizza or they will melt and get pretty weird. This place needs to get its stuff together on take out. I have tried multiple methods to have my pizza ready when I arrive. I ordered online hours before. I ordered with an ASAP order. I ordered and arrived 15 minutes late. I've paid before and I've paid on arrival. Every time there's one or two prices to put together and I have to wait 10-15 while they get their crap together. It's unreal. As for the food, I'm clearly a fan or I wouldn't put up with this garbage. A good place to go. Just hope you don't have any kind of schedule. read more

On Friday night, I hosted a mini-slumber party while my hubby was out of town. Like most drunk people, we were craving pizza at an unearthly hour (of 11 p.m.). :) Well, as anyone knows who is a regular reader of my reviews, I live in Carmel. Needless to say, this isn't Broadripple and most places close at 10 p.m. Except Hot Box!! After calling several other pizza places, we were pleasantly surprised to discover this gem! And, they delivered in 20 minutes! Everything we had was pretty good! We ordered two salads with ranch, cheesesticks and bread sticks and it was very reminiscent of my days at IU and ordering the Big Ten for $10. Our total bill was under $20 and they were very quick to get us our midnight snacks. Nothing like making a few winos happy when no one else is open. When I am in Fishers and get a craving for breadsticks, there is absolutely no better place to go than Hot Box. We occasionally order a large pepperoni pizza and two orders of breadsticks. The pizza is ok, it's not anything amazing and it really isn't bad either, it's just right at average. I have had their pizza the regular way and with light cheese, and to me the latter is better, just seems to be able to bring out more of the taste when there is less cheese present. I could go on for pages about how amazing the breadsticks taste but you really need to taste them for yourself. I prefer the cheese dip as opposed to the marinara. They also give you take home plastic cups when you order a drink, which is great to keep around for kids or just when you don't want to dirty a dish. I wish they would change colors soon though, I have way too many yellow ones! I have never eaten inside the restaurant I usually call my order in and then take it home. They do have a small dining area with a flat screen that usually has a game playing. Overall Hot Box has a pretty decent pizza, cool plastic cups, nifty dining area, and phenomenal breadsticks that just make you wanna smack your grandma! read more

I love Hot Box's pizza but especially their bread sticks. It's a solid quality pizza that isn't over the top in what they are trying to make. Their bread sticks are outstanding though! Most of their specials include drinks which is ok. Surprisingly the drinks arrive pretty fresh tasting and not water downed. I'd rate the place a 4/5 but am docking a star since last week my order ahead pizza arrived an hour early. The manager did refund my payment which was solid. This begs a larger question though, why can pizza places NEVER get order ahead times right? read more

Good pizza, questionable management. So I called at 11:30 a.m. To order a pizza. They told me they could not deliver it until about 1:15. When I asked why, they told me that the manager had only scheduled one driver, and there were already a bunch of deliveries that would have to go out before mine. Really??? You only schedule one driver on a Friday afternoon? I asked the girl on the phone to let the manager know that I would not order from them if it would take that long to arrive. Maybe they need a manager with better business savvy. I imagine that the amount of lost sales would far exceed the cost of having another driver available. I order delivery at 4:15 on a Friday. I requested delivery around 5:15. I called the store at 5:30 to check on the status at which time they told me I was out of their delivery area. They refunded my order and said I can come to pick up the pizza. I am a single mother of a 2 year old which is the whole reason why I ordered delivery. I don't understand why they did not know I was out of their delivery area when I first called or why I would not have gotten a call to advise me that they would not be delivering my pizza. Super quick delivery! I wasn't aware that there was a Hot Box location in Fishers until a few days ago. Boy oh boy was I thrilled to learn of such a thing. My first memory of Hot Box was in downtown Indy after a lively night at Howl at the Moon. Isn't that everyone's first experience of Hot Box? Anyhow, my nights of dancing until 4 am have dwindled a little (not completely, mind you), but a little. So now my run-ins with Hot Box are a bit less frequent. Even so, sometimes you're in the mood for such a thing and it totally hits the spot. And their breadsticks? OH MY HEAVENS. Just load er' up. Very disappointed. We love Hotbox and usually order dinner from here once a week. Ordered online tonight. Was told it would be 25 min for pickup. Got to the store 30 min after ordered. Went in, paid, gave a good tip and was told they would bring out food when it was ready. I understand they were busy. However, I sat in my vehicle in the parking lot for an hour. Finally decided to step inside and check on my order. The two guys working the front counter were incredibly rude. I asked someone to check on my food because I had been waiting an hour. I got an eye roll from one and a dirty look from the other. After another 10 min, one looked at the racks and yelled it was "right there". Another 10 min later I was handed my food while the guy gave me a death stare. I get that you forgot my food, but not even a hey, sorry, forgot about your food. Cold food and extremely poor customer service is not what I had in mind for this evening. Although I really like their food, I will start taking my business elsewhere. read more

There needs to be organization here. Came in to pick up my order after 30 minutes when they told me it would be ready, and I had to wait another 30 minutes once there. About 6 other customers seemed to have the same issue and the employees did not seem to know whose orders were ready or anything that was happening.
