Unlike the usual hype and marketing jargon, theirs was refreshingly clear and fact-based -- exactly what I needed to make an informed decision. I called them to explain my specific needs and was impressed by their no-pressure, honest approach. They walked me through the real pros and cons of each unit without any sales tactics. I was shocked to discover that one of the "discounted" units I was considering from another online store was actually priced several hundred dollars above retail! I purchased the M600, and it arrived quickly via UPS from across the country. About two weeks later the app started acting up. I called to describe the issue, and their knowledgeable team immediately diagnosed it as a faulty power supply and shipped a replacement right away. The sales and service staff were both incredibly informed and helpful (I'm still not sure if they're the same team -- either way, the expertise is outstanding). If you're in the market for pool equipment, I recommend PelicanShop1 without any hesitation. I have zero affiliation with them -- I'm just a genuinely happy customer. However, my recent experience was pretty frustrating. Recently, I entered with the intention of having a ski boot fitting. The associate approached and I told him I wanted to buy a new pair of boots and asked if they did ski boot fitting and custom liners. He confirmed they do, and he showed me a boot on display. Then, he promptly told me the price of the fitting, boot, and liners. Instead of asking about my current boots, concerns, etc. (or even just showing me to the boot fitter), he was quick to assume my ability level, pointed towards their limited selection of womens ski boots, and walked away. I've been skiing since I was a child and never have I walked into a shop and had an associate make assumptions and walk away without assisting or directing. I walked out regretful I walked in and drove to Ski Barn in Wayne that had a much larger selection and more welcoming staff. The few associates at the desk are pleasant but the wandering associates in the ski shop area are not very helpful or knowledgable.

I gave this business thousands- all regrettable life lessons learned. They lie to you. Sleaze their way into you paying up, with them delivering wrong information and extremely poor work. They even lied they showed up to my house, when cameras show no one in sight for hours. I did pool liner with them: started coming off and they blamed anything they possibly can (water itself, the liner they themselves installed, and, the funniest one, the last installer which was them). When they ask you who did the last work- say a competing business or you forgot, and watch how quickly they point out all the wrong things done even they're the ones that did it. Their warranty is bogus but they're smart about avoiding any actually quality work and follow up. Schedule will keep extending. Dates will keep changing. People will show up for 30-45 min and scam you. They'll make problems much bigger so they can come back and take more money. They don't believe your photos, videos, or what you are seeing in your own home. They always follow their made-up delusions. The people who make the decisions and you give your money mostly to are not the people who do the job, nor do they show up to see anything. You'll find an extremely rude, unprofessional, and liar of a person named Darlene working you through the phone. The mostly behind the curtain guy is Dan- he will talk his 30 years of experience with you to get you to believe, and of course take your money. You will lose your money. You will face more problems in your pool and system than you started with. You will be lied to. You will regret your decision to worth with these slimy people. Go elsewhere. Do it yourself. Order online. Anything but conduct business with this company of liars and deceivers. You work hard, so take it easy and give your money and time to a more deserving business. Monarch is not it.

He is responsive, easy to get a hold of, takes pictures of all his work, and thoroughly explains what he is going to do before he actually does it which is very helpful to homeowners. Communications is the key to all relationships and Erik definitely meets our high expectations. Erik has come up with several creative ideas for solutions we have been looking for and we truly trust that he has our best interests at heart. His pricing is also more competitive than most. However, actually getting consistent service from him has been a challenge. Our communication has been rocky from the start, largely because Eric is extremely unorganized. He's often messy with scheduling, and there have been multiple times when we agreed on a visit to a property, and he simply didn't show up--without any notice, and with no response to calls or texts. Another major issue is his temperament. He has a short fuse, and when he believes he's right, he resorts to aggressive language and constant cursing. Even when I prove him wrong and he briefly apologizes, the same behavior returns the next day. I've continued giving Eric business out of patience and understanding for his situation. I've kept him busy and even referred multiple clients to him, which brought him more work. But the last incident was the final straw. He failed to show up at my personal home for four consecutive weeks, despite our agreement for weekly visits every Thursday. As a result, I and my guests couldn't use the pool and hot tub multiple times. He promised to come the following day (Friday), apologized, and then still didn't show up. The final time I followed up, he replied with, "No, we are clearly not coming in the rain. Seriously?" -- without even a proper notice or attempt to reschedule. This level of unreliability and disrespect is unacceptable, especially after all the work and referrals I've given him. I've been patient long enough, but I can no longer tolerate this kind of behavior.
