I purchased something from this store over a month ago and still waiting for it to arrive. I am open to changing my review if they quit telling me they can't resend it and they don't have it available anymore when it's clear on the website that they do. My experience happened on 6/17/2019 I went two different hot topic in Tucson. The first location was one in Tucson Mall and had a wonderful experience but we did not find everything what we were looking for so we decided to check out park place mall. In almost fifteen years of shopping at hot topic I never had any complaints about employees at the store until yesterday. We were not greeted or even acknowledged at all the entire store nobody asked if we were finding anything okay or even told us about the discounts in the store. At the hot topic in park place mall there were two girls that were working there at the register with a male employee. We were standing at the register for a good solid minute or two before the gentlemen asked us to come over to the other register. Still none of the employees said anything about discounts but that was fine since we were already aware of them and can read signs it just felt really unusual to both us to not be encountered by any employee at Hot Topic. The two girls and the male were talking major trash about a girl on Instagram and the gentlemen was very blunt and loud about wanting to be hooked up with someone. It was very unprofessional conversation. When they were having this conversation we asked first before he started to check us out that he could do a price check since some items were put on the clearance rack. Because he was too involved with talking smack about someone on social media he didn't hear anything I was saying or paid much mind that we were even there as he started to ring us up. I had to interrupt them and ask that he double check the prices. He gave me an attitude about having to take it off the register as a voided item but if he'd listened to me and done a price check he could have avoided this. He went back to talking to his associates about this person they all had in common with on instagram. Typically I do not mind office gossip but when a customer comes in you ask them if they are finding everything okay, make small conversation with them or at least let them know of promotions that are going on in the store. NONE OF THE THREE DID THIS. I am not sure if they realized it was because I was in with my girlfriend or not but I never felt really discriminated then I had in the past ten years of shopping there then I did at Park Place mall. I told my girlfriend that the way they were treating us once we got to the line was not okay. I would rather drive seven miles out of my way to be treated with a little bit more respect then drive just a mile or two and be treated with disrespect. This was the worst customer service experience I ever received at this store or hot topic in general. read more

Exceptionally friendly staff, wide selection of video game/music/cartoon apparel and accessories. Waaaaaaay too old to shop here....but it's an occasional guilty pleasure. ;) I ended up getting a cute headband scarf that is totally acceptable, even if you are no longer a teenager! We were greeted by staff when we entered the store. My friend wanted to try on a shirt, but the size she wanted wasn't on the floor. The nice young gentleman asked if we minded waiting a few minutes. He offered to go through the stock in the back. A few minutes later, he emerged victorious. Then he helped find other items she was interested in as well. I was helped by a nice young lady. Both of the staff were friendly and attentive, but not annoyingly so like at some places. This is probably my favorite location in town. :) read more

With 2 daughters in love with Doctor Who, as well as their mother, I was wondering where I could find merchandise in town. Thanks to a Yelp friend, we went to Hot Topic. One daughter's birthday is close and of course, Christmas is nearly 2 weeks away. No time to order online. We found shirts, necklaces, earrings and even sonic screwdrivers! Awesome place. The employees were very friendly and helpful. Now, we're on the lookout for a poster! read more

Hot Topics are in nearly every mall. I am not a fan of the close quarters. However the service at this store is great! They are attentive and very service oriented. The store is clean and well organized even for such a small cramped store. read more

First of all, who is responsible for hiring the staff here because you are doing an awesome job! The place was always cool to browse through but the super helpful staff has earned my loyalty here. I was trying on an awesome Dr. Who dress and I want sure if the remaining size would fit me, but I loved it so much that I was determined to try it anyway. The guy actually went to the back and went through his shipment to see if he was able to find me an alternative size. He came back a few minutes later, prize in hand. Needless to say, I bought said dress. The girl there was really nice too and helped my friend while I was distracted by the sale they had going on. They should get a raise for being so great. :) read more
